Welcome to my annual 12 DAYS OF GIVEAWAYS!
If you’re new to this – here’s how it works:
1. Each day from December 1 through December 12 I will put up a new giveaway HERE on my website with instructions on how to enter, a detailed description of the prize, and some stuff about the book or series. Each giveaway is different and each has ONE WINNER. MY GIVEAWAYS ARE ALWAYS OPEN INTERNATIONAL
2. Each giveaway runs UNTIL DECEMBER 13.
3. Winners are CHOSEN and NOTIFIED on December 14. I will be notifying winners USING THE EMAIL USED TO COMMENT ON THIS BLOG – and all winners will BE LISTED AT THE TOP OF EACH GIVEAWAY POST HERE ON MY WEBSITE on December 14.
4. Winners have 24 hours to respond, then another winner will be chosen.
5. ALL PRIZES WILL BE MAILED ON DECEMBER 15. If I’m waiting on a winner to respond and they miss the December 15 mail date, that prize will be mailed when I get around to it. I live in the middle of nowhere so a trip to the post office is a “thing” for me. 🙂 So make sure you’re checking for winners on the 14th.
6. I will send newsletters announcing giveaways on December 1, December 6, December 12, and a Winner newsletter on December 14. I NEVER send this many newsletters in a month so sorry if that feels spammy.
7. You can also FOLLOW MY BLOG. I will also make a blog post HERE announcing ALL WINNERS on the 14th. If you want to follow this blog there will be a form at the bottom of each post to do that. Then you get an email when I POST HERE. I don’t do that often – December is the exception because of the 12 Days and my yearly “Wrap-up” post.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
THAT’S IT! I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY THIS!
The world is INSANE right now so I’m just trying to spread some cheer and give back to all of you who support me and enjoy the stories I create.

Nothing beats classic Christmas cut out sugar cookies and yours looks amazing. I love making these with my kids. No matter how old they get it’s still something we do together.
I love Christmas cutout cookies but there are so many other good ones. I love spritz cookies or even just almond bark pretzels. My sisters and I get together every Christmas season and make thousands of cookies to give away. One of my favorite parts of the holiday season.
I love banana pudding and sweet potato pie. Thanks for the chance.
So my family makes a “Mock Baby Ruth Bars” and this is my fav. it is an oatmeal and karo syrup bottom, and a choc chip and peanut butter “frosting” on top………so good

Christmas crack and my mom’s recipe for fudge.
Good Morning – For me, it is cheesecake. Gosh, it’s always cheesecake 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely love cutout cookies! I also enjoy molasses cookies and peanut butter balls aka buckeyes!
Gingerbread
I don’t have a favourite. I can’t bake and that’s a good thing because I’m addicted to sugar and would never stop lol. Your cookies look good! I need to find someone to buy from. They’re cute. I don’t go by looks as long as they taste good anyway. They could be any kind of weird shape and I’d happily buy them all 😅
Roasted fresh chestnuts, they taste like candy and we can only get them this time of year!!!
My favorite dessert is pumpkin pie with a lot of ready whip. My favorite Christmas cookie is the sugar cookies that my daughter and MIL make, they put cinnamon chips on top with sprinkles and I love cinnamon
Lemon meringue pie 💛

Otherwise anything chocolate.
Gingerbread cookies!
My favorite Christmas cookies are the sugar cookies are a recipe from my great grandmother. There’s nutmeg in this old recipe. It’s a tough recipe to use. Finding just the right amount of flour while rolling them out is the key to a great tasting cookie.
My absolute favorite is home fudge that my dad makes!! A close second is thumbprint cookies we make for Santa every year! I love baking!
Crescent shaped Mexican wedding cookies! Costco is selling a variation of it made by David’s, and I’m trying to exercise some control that I don’t finish the entire canister myself!

Peanut butter fudge.

Chocolate chip cookies and also cheesecake
Choco-Mint Snowflakes are my favorite. 🙂 Thanks for the chance!
Pumpkin pie. Well, no. The whipped cream / cool whip. Between November and January is the only time you can buy whipped cream and chocolate syrup by themselves and not get the wink wink looks. 🤩
Peanut Butter Fudge. My grandpa would make peanut butter fudge for everybody for Christmas. It was so smooth and creamy. His daughters have carried on that tradition since he passed. It brings about great memories every year.
Thimble or thumbprint cookies. So easy, can double and triple batches and the make a bunch of cookies quickly. They’re also delicious.

Mine is gingerbread cookies or sugar cookies! But I love all treats and food during the holidays. No restrictions 🤣
I love sugar cookie cutouts
Hazelnut Tea Cookies or Christmas Crack
Seven layer bars… or are they called better than sex bars. If that’s what they are, apparently the person who named them haven’t had good sex.

That’s a tough one because I love ALL desserts!!! But I still stick by peanut butter kisses.
Anything peppermint flavored!
I love spiced cookies. They are my special treat for winter in general. I also love hot cocoa. I feel like nothing gets you in the spirit like holding a cup of hot cocoa.
Gingerbreads but those are fluffy here… we make them little different
I love snickerdoodle cookies with Hershey kisses in the middle.
Peanut butter blossom cookies
I found a lady over here whose business is Cookie Doodle Doo. Got some for all my family last year and they were amazing ❤️
We always had German Chocolate Cake or Pecan Pie
I love frosted sugar cookies.
Chocolate fudge using the Kraft Fantasy Fudge recipe and Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate chips. So good!
Rosette’s
Every Christmas my daughter and my mother in law make Italian cookies, it’s a tradition I love so much!
Love decorated Christmas cookies. But for dinner I love chocolate pecan pie with whipped cream. And sometimes my mom would make a rum cake. Yum 🤤
I don’t bake but I love making reindeer crack during the holidays. AND eating it which is why I don’t make it lol
Whoopie Pies are my favorite! They use to be only a Christmas treat until I got the family recipe handed down. Now it’s a whenever I want to
Definitely Scottish Shortbread. It’s slightly sweet, not frosted or rolled into shapes. It’s pressed into a pan and cut into squares. Sometimes it becomes breakfast because I wake up thinking of it when it’s in the fridge.
Strawberry kolaczki
Italian Ricotta cookies….sooo yummy and these butter/walnut cookies my mom used to call “turds” b/c of their shape. 🙂
My mom makes these spritz cookies from some recipe she found 50 years ago. THE BEST spritz cookies. She tried a different recipe one year, the cookies were aaaawful. I took the whole 3 dozen batch to work and let my coworkers eat all the second rate cookies.
Every Christmas my must have is mince pies due to my husband being born in England.
Thank you for this fabulous chance
While at Costco recently, we impulse bought a tin of David’s Cookies – Butter Pecan Meltaways and these cookies are like crack! We grew up calling them Pecan Snowball cookies. They are so dangerous!
Soft Gingerbread men cookies are my fave during the holidays!
All of them. If there’s cookies I’m eating them lol. I don’t like coffee flavor but the rest are fair game. Thanks for the chances on your giveaways

I like cut out cookies too. More the decorating, because it makes me nostalgic for when my mom and I baked them.
Hot cocoa cookies and peanut butter candy and peppermint bark!
Warm chewy molasses cookies rolled in “fancy” red or Green holiday sugar because I’m fancy like that. 😉
Hmmm tricky to pick just one …sooo I’m a bit of a European mongrel so the English in me loves Apple Crumble and Custard, the French in me loves a Buche de Noel and the German bit loves lebkuchen! I think the Swedish and Greek parts in me just love eating! X
Christmas crack
I love Snicker Doodles, my late step mom taught me how to make them. We used to make them every year.
My favorite is any Italian Pastry,
Especially a Cannoli
Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without my mom’s Christmas Pudding & Christmas Fruit Cake!
Bourbon Balls
I make peppermint merengues that are pretty good. But, anything gingerbread is great
I love orange chocolate. The one that’s shaped like an orange and you smack it on the table and the orange pieces separate. Yum!
My family calls them Grandma’s Dunkers, and I don’t remember my Grandma ever telling us different. Not the easiest cookie to mix, but once that part is done they are slice and bake. A great cookie with coffee.
Christmas fudge. The best!
Peanut Blossoms rolled in nuts and topped with a dark candy kiss.
I love peppermint bark cookies!
I love gingerbread and I can’t seem to have the wherewithal to make them till Christmas. But I guess that just makes them better.
I love sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies. 🤤🤤🤤
The only must have is spritz cookies. Bonus items include sugar cookies (not the pre packaged ones, the nice and crumbly melt in your mouth kind.)
Cheesecake always Cheesecake
I love cutout sugar cookies with icing and sprinkles!
Sugar Cookies!!
My mom’s peanut butter buckeyes are my favorite!!
Chocolate chip cookies and cheesecake!
Gingerbread cookies, but I also love cutout sugar cookies. I don’t suppose you’d be willing to share your great aunt’s recipe?
I love these almond finger cookie things my mom used to make. But my favorite is chocolate covered peanut butter balls. Yum! No self control with those around.
Love sugar cookies but my favorite are the mini pecan cookie bites and peanut butter cookies my grandma taught me to make!
I like gingerbread cookies.
I love pumpkin pie bars, a shortbread crust with layer of pumpkin pie. The problem is my daughter is not a fan. Our new tradition is cheesecake. For Thanksgiving we had strawberry crumble cheesecake.
My fave dessert for Christmas is cinnamon swirl apple pie! It’s soooo yummy! ❤️
I am a huge fan of gingerbread, be it cookies or cake.
Favorite holiday dessert is pecan pie with fresh whipped cream.
Peanut butter blossoms 😋
Peanut Butter blossoms is my favorite cookie of anytime holiday or otherwise. But for the holidays I love Apple Pie.

I love candy cane cookies, my Mom’s walnut roca, rugelach, my grandma’s sugar cookies and my bff’s shortbread. Yummy! 🍪
I don’t have just one favorite X-mas cookie. 😂 I love thumbprints, those snowball cookies–I can’t remember the name of them–, chocolate crinkles, gingerbread man, shortbread, and anything that is peanut butter.
Buckeyes! Nothing like the chocolate and peanut butter together.
Cheesecake for sure my favourite
I love Christmas cookies. All of them. But my favorites are crinkle cookies. It’s a tie between lemon crinkle and chocolate crinkle. Lock me up with a book, hot tea, and these cookies and I’d be a happy girl. 😊
Spritz cookies. Buttery goodness, easy, and pretty, too!
Hi, I’m so obsessed with all of your books. I want all of them! My favorite Christmas cookie has to be soft chewy sinker-doodles!
It is not a cookie, but it’s a very traditional cake during Christmas season in Chile, it’s called “Pan de Pascua” flavored with rum (or pisco, Chileno of course) filled with dried fruits and nuts. Usually it is served with another very traditional breveage, called “Cola de mono”, it contains mainly aguardiente, milk, sugar, coffee, and cloves. I already had some Pan de Pascua because is so yummy.
Frosted sugar cookies and peanut butter balls (some call them buckeyes)

Molasses sugar cookies are my absolute favorite!
Chocolate Crinkle cookies
Loving Dark Men is my everything! But my favorite Christmas dessert is Christmas crack – chocolate, peanut butter, and peanuts in the crock pot. It’s so rich, you can’t eat much at once, but my favorite part is that my girls looooove it so when they come for Christmas, it must be on the table!
My husband says its not really a holiday treat but i beg to differ Thanksgiving and christmas is the only time we have PB fudge therefore its mt favorite Holiday treat

We make sugar cookies that the kids decorate. They look forward to doing it and having fun. My favorite is fruit cake cookies. A lot of trouble but you can’t eat just one!
Oh my, asking me to pick a fave dessert is like asking me to pick a fave child 😉 I’m a sweets girl, so it’s hard, but my Mama’s dear friend would make pumpkin squares as a kid & she gave us the recipe when I was a teen & I still love them! Think pumpkin pie but with a streusel like top instead of a pie crust on the bottom. So delicious!
The ones with the kisses in the middle on top. I cannot remember the name.
Cut out sugar cookies – made with my dad. They’d be tasty regardless but keeping the tradition going makes everything taste better
My favorite dessert….lol anything sweet! I do love gingerbread!
Cheesecake but at Christmas time I love Russian tea cakes or snowballs as some people call them
I love frosted gingerbread cookies and what we call forgotten cookies. Forgotten cookies are a meringue cookie with chocolate chips or walnut pieces in them. As you’re making them, you have the oven preheating but when you’re ready to put the cookies in you turn the oven off and “forget” about them for the next 12 hours. When done right, they just melt in your mouth.
Sugar cookies!
My favorite dessert was anything my mom made. Except anything with coconut in it! Now that she’s gone I have her treasured recipe box. Whatever I make from it I know she’s adding a little bit of love.❤❤
My favorite to eat and bake are Russian Tea Cakes. I’ve been using the same recipe for years and made right, they melt in your mouth. I’ve had a long time tradition with my children…we get together every year and bake cookies…now the grandkids do the cut out cookie decorating. We have a blast!
Home made shortbread is my all time favourite at Christmas & everyone gets some with their gifts.
My favorite is white chocolate covered pretzels. You can now find them in stores all the time (flipz) but my family and I have been making them since I was a kid, making a huge mess of the melted chocolate is as much a part of the tradition as eating them now lol.
My mothers peanut butter blossoms are my all time favorite cookie!
I have a few favorites: Spumoni ice cream ( when I can find it), my friend Kathy’s sour cream chocolate chip cookies, My friend Tami’s blondies, coconut balls, and buckeyes. If I wasn’t diabetic, I could live on this stuff. Oh, yeah, can”t forget the cheesecake and the dark chocolate cake with the pecan-caramel-coconut frosting! Yum!
I do love cut out sugar cookies, but I have to say the Russian Teacake is my favorite holiday treat.
I have two holiday favorites: Christmas cutout cookies (I thought yours looked yummy btw) and white chocolate puff corn (or Christmas crack, as we call it).

I love to make frosted sugar cookies with the grandbabies they get to give them away to the family and decorate them specifically for the family member they wish to have it.
Again, we agree Julie. My favorite is cutout sugar cookies too. With peanut butter blossoms being a close second. Enjoy!🎄☃️🎅🏼
I love my mom’s almond crescents!!! They are so light with almond flavor and powdered sugar!!! My mom is no longer here but when I start baking these at Christmas I feel like she’s their with me. Ty! So much for chance at a another great prize.💕💋
I love cherry buckeye cookies, they are like the buckeye cookies with a Hershey Kiss in the middle but instead of a peanut butter cookie it is a cherry cookie. YUM!
Sugar cookies with icing. There is something magical about a well made cookie.
Gingerbread cookies! So yummy!
Pecan pie!
My mother would make this coffee cake with chocolate chips on top and a layer of chocolate chips that would melt within the cake itself. Sometimes she would switch it up by turning this into cupcakes (altho, tbh, I don’t know how she managed to get the same effect w the cupcakes as well). But I’m not a baker. At the time, I could eat as much as I wanted — no problem. But since my metabolism has changed, I leave larger amounts for the kids and just eat much smaller pieces with, perhaps some vanilla ice cream to make the entire treat less sweet! It’s unbelievably good and probably 5 million Valerie’s per bite… 🥰🥰🥰
Peanut butter sugar cookies with the Hershey kiss!
My grandma’s carrot cake! It’s very simple but sooo delicious! And short bread butter cookies 😊
My mom made cranberry walnut cookies every year. Sometimes she would add dates from our tree as well. They sound weird but they were so good. I have tried to recreate them time and time again to no avail. She left no written recipe. So, they will remain a lost yummy childhood memory.
My mom makes the best Chess Bars. (What we call them) They are a thick lemony custard on top of a graham crackery cakeish crust. So yummy
I love home made canolis.
I am so blog challenged finding the right comment! But I love sugar cookie cut outs with homemade frosting 🧁

I make a cranberry Christmas cake that’s so good. It’s my favorite. I’m also a big fan of peppermint bark.
We have a family cookie recipe from my great grandmother. It’s like a shortbread but it is flavored with cardamom.
I love my mama’s homemade pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving and I love fudge or cheesecake on Christmas (the cheesecake has a bottom layer of chocolate cookie crust, a layer of cooked not instant chocolate pudding and the top layer is cheesecake).
I love watergate Salad! It is more of a traditional thing . I have had it at Christmas every year for as long as I can remember, my mom always made sure it was on the dinner table every Christmas, it is such a simple dessert but even when my parents struggled financially at Christmas it was the one thing I knew would be ion the Christmas dessert table !
I make chocolate cookie cutouts, the Greek cookies with the powdered sugar, chocolate crinkles and shortbread cookies with mini chocolate chips. Yum 😋
I love snickerdoodle cookies and brown sugar pie
I love cheese cakes this year I’m going to try a Christmas cheesecake that has cranberries
I love baking lots of different things! I usually spend about a week making gift baskets of treats for family and friends. If I had to choose 1 favorite it would be a Toblerone chocolate shortbread. I love trying different ways to make shortbread cookies a little extra!
Okay so it’s not really a recipe but something i do. I love the holiday oreos (in my opinion they taste different) with a small amount of milk, typed with whipped cream.
My moms whipped shortbread are delish!
No bake cookies!
M favorite cookiecis peanut butter cookies and dessert to make at Christmas is buckeye balls….

Stauffer’s holiday shortbread cookies from the dollar store and Royal Dansk danish butter cookies in the blue tin.
It would have to be almond meltaways. Mouth watering just thinking about them…..and dark men.😍
Cozonac. 🙂
Love you! 🙂💜
***Can you give us your cookies recipe?
My gram made these Czech cookies called kolaches with almond, apricot, or poppyseed filling every Christmas. Man! I looked forward to those every year! She also made cannolis that were amazing. (My family is Czech on her side and Sicilian on my gramp’s side)
When I was a teen, my mom’s friend, Wilma, always made us a confection called John Wayne’s Balls. Delicious chocolate, coconut, sweet milk, I think there was graham crackers. I know I have the recipe somewhere but I haven’t discovered it since we’ve been in our new home. But it’s in a safe place! 😉
Shortbread or mince pies 😛
Ricotta cheese cookies are my specialty. I will vary the recipe to lemon or plain or almond.
I love baking at Christmas..shortbread is my favourite with my chocolate orange shortbread and my toblerone shortbread being family favs.. I make 25-30 different cookies each year and then giveaway tins of the goodies to friends and neighbours.
Cutout Christmas cookies and those peanut butter chocolate balls… buckeyes.
My fave holiday cookie is pumpkin with cream cheese icing. My fave dessert is pineapple upside down cake.
so my favorite would be our triple chocolate pecan pie! or my moms cheesecake! or my great grandndmothers pumpkin pie!
For any holiday, tiramisu is my all time favorite

My favourite strawberry cheesecake!
I love a delicious cut out cookie also and the best ones are always homemade! My favorite Christmas cookie is the Pizzelle, a crisp snowflake shaped cookie sprinkled with powdered sugar and flavored with vanilla beans. So yummy!
My mother’s butter cookie recipe, which we used to make every year before she died, is a treasured favorite. Sometimes we’d use the cookie press to make long narrow cookie logs, cut them when still warm, then press two together using melted chocolate (picture Italian cookies, just more homemade and yummy). Her cookies were always so special.
My best friend’s mother makes Holiday/Christmas cookies for people every year. There’s a particular cookie, I dont know the name of it, has orange zest and coconut (I hate coconut) with a thin glaze on top. I swear, I live for these cookies come Christmas. I’ve dreamt about this damn cookie! 😆 😍
My favourite is butter tarts
We have a grandma special apricot horn recipe we do..they take two days to make but 100% worth all the time.
My kids are finally at that age where they want to help mommy cook! So we are gonna make tons of yummy treats. Have to say no bake cookies 🍪 and peanut butter balls are A must. Gonna attempt homemade sugar cookies with cut outs! 🎄🎄
Not really a dessert person, but love ice cream Hokey Pokey or mint chocolate chip. Biscuits anything with chocolate.
Peanut butter balls. I don’t know why we only make them this time of the year because they are the bomb.
My favorite is Snickerdoodles cookies.
My favorite holiday cookie is snikerdoodle and favorite holiday dessert fruit cake, especially when made with lots of rum
Snowballs are my all time favorite cookie but I also look forward to Pizzelles and Kolachi (nut rolls). I’m going to start making the Kolachi this week so I can mail some to my family members up north. I’m the only one who carried on the tradition of making Kolachi in the family.
My favourite holiday cookie is my gram’s sugar cookie recipie, absolutely amazing! <3
Pumpkin pie with whipped cream
My favorite holiday cookie is chewy gingerbread cookies – yummmm
Would you share the recipe??
Sugar cookies. I always order caramel apple with holiday color candy on them. They are super yummy.
I love making desserts like cookies and nothing beats making an awesome gingerbread house but to eat it’s all about the abundance of fudge available this time of year! Chocolate mint and chocolate peanut butter specifically.
Pecan pie torte. It’s just thinner, about 1” thick instead of a pie 21/2” thick. Same taste, less calories but delicious.
Peanut Butter Blossoms and Fudge
I make a mean cherry chocolate Biscotti which is delicious but my all time favorite is chocolate chip with more pecans than chips…yum!
My absolutely favourite Christmas treat is gingerbread cookie with a bit of blue cheese on it and a glass of port wine as an accompaniment. The combination is to die for! A must for every Christmas!
I don’t know about holiday sweets, but I love chocolate cake. 🙂
Cheesecake or butter cookies I just love the buttery crunch!
My favorite treat at Christmas are my Aunt Suzy’s sugar cookies. They are always so soft with a hint of lemon and she frosts them. So yummy!
Homemade peanut brittle I make it every year
My favorite holiday treat is my Grandma Eula’s “nut bread.” Better known as Povitica, it is a yeast-raised dough rolled into thin sheets and topped with a sweet walnut filling that gets rolled up jellyroll-style and baked in a loaf pan. My grandmother made a hundred loaves each year, and everyone in the family got one wrapped in aluminum foil tied with a red curl ribbon bow. Delicious!
Christmas sugar cutout cookies are my favorite! A close second are the peanut butter blossom cookies with the Hershey kisses. Yum!
Green cookies! That’s what we (my siblings and I) always call them anyways 🤣 They are pistachio chocolate chip cookies that my Grandma always made. Once she passed away I became the designated green cookie maker, they are super delicious!
My sweet tooth loves it all!! I do miss my aunts fudge she used to make every year for the holidays though. It was soooo good! 🤤
My Aunty makes me wedding tea cookies and they are amazing. It’s my favorite part of the holidays.
Pineapple Bundt cake my mom makes for all special occasions. It’s made with crushed pineapple and it’s simple. It’s been passed down from my great grandmother to me. It’s special and my siblings and I always look forward to it. Now my husband and sons also love it.
My favorite holiday desert is two vanilla wafers sandwiching a marshmallow fluff mixture that tastes like ores cream rolled in sprinkles. Yummmmmm

I love the butter cookies the most at Christmas.
I can’t bake to save my life, but I do make 849376 chocolate covered pretzel rods every year. They are all decorated in different colors and fun christmas sprinkles.
It is a toss up between fudge and Pecan tassies.
Gingerbread cookies are my favourite
I bake a lot of things and cookies tend to be my least favorite because of labor intensity, but Lace Cookies are my all time favorites for the holiday. They are mostly cashews, butter, and sugar. What’s not to love?
Great Grandma’s recipe soft sugar cookies with buttercream frosting & mom’s cinnamon rolls. DELICIOUS!
I can never say no to a peanut butter blossom! So yummy!!
I love cut out cookies too – my family recipe is called Plain Cookies… my mom’s pound cake, ideally with frozen custard on the side, also says to me ‘it’s Christmas’.
Peanut brittle and then jalapeño jelly over cream cheese on crackers

My favorite is my MIL Chesscake! Those things are so good 😋
My favorite thing to make is Christmas Crack. They say it’s called crack because it cracks when you bite it, but I call it crack because it’s addicting!! Haha! It is so easy to make – crackers, caramel, chocolate, and Christmas sprinkles on top. It’s delicious!!
I make a kick ass fudge and my molasses cookies are not too hard and not too soft. They are just right, and they make the house smell amazing.
My favourite holiday cookie is shortbread.

Christmas cut out cookies are my favorite too!! We love baking and decorating them every year.
Definitely my mom’s homemade Christmas candies. For over 50 years, she had spent all of Thanksgiving week off work (or during retirement just during that week) making between 25 and 40 different kinds of candy to share with friends and neighbors, co-workers and loved ones. When I was a little girl up until I left home at 23, I would help. As I got older, I’d be handed one of the recipes and simply be asked to just make that one. I had three sisters who also helped, one of whom has since passed away.
This year is the first year Mom won’t be making her candies. First, she will be 80 in May. She’s tired. It’s a lot of work to do it all by herself, and she just simply doesn’t want to do it anymore. Second, all of the ingredients are not currently available due to the ongoing covid shortages on this and that. She tried to buy some ingredients for just a smaller amount of candies, but she couldn’t even find enough to do just a few recipes.
She’ll be emailing her recipes out to her remaining daughters and all of the grandchildren since we all loved her candies so much. Many have turned out to be terrific cooks (my own kids included) and desperately want to duplicate their favorites from Grandma’s recipes. I can’t wait to have some chocolate-covered peanut butter balls. They put Reese’s to shame. LOL
I love making Christmas bark with my teenagers. It’s not a dessert or cookie but something we like to make and enjoy eating afterwards way too much!!
That is a toss-up between my grandma’s pumpkin pie and the M&M cookies we make.

Snowball cookies were something my grandma and I used to make every Christmas among others but those were both our favs. She’s been gone for 11 Christmases now. I’ve tweaked my recipe, as my son has T1D and we don’t use regular sugars or flours in our house and you can’t tell the difference.
Tuxedo cookies
Better Homes and Gardens old fashioned sugar cookies with a bit of lemon or orange zest in them. They are a buttery treat. They can be a challange to cut out but a cookie press makes all the difference. They even taste better when they start to go stale. I love them!
I have two. My first is a baklava and my second is peppermint fudge. I try to not over due baking. My son is a type 1 diabetic and he loves sweets so I minimize when possible.

My favorite holiday treat to make is peanut butter fudge. I make batches to give out as gifts. My favorite to eat are my grandmas recipes of home made chocolate chip cookies. I love them warm out the oven with a big glass of milk.
Ooohhh, an easy on the mind one today – can’t go past a proper butter shortbread for my cookie of choice and traditional home made Christmas pudding, rum sauce and a dollop of cream. Horrendous amount of calories but so delicious and there is fruit, right?
My favorite Christmas cookies are Snowballs, they are packed with a ton of chopped pecans then I like to roll them in powdered sugar when still warm out of the oven, but the secret is to roll them in the sugar two more times, because the cookies aren’t sweet at all, but they melt in your mouth along with the powdered sugar and then you get the nice crunch from the pecans. I’ve been using a recipe from the first cook book ever given to me when I was 21, it’s a Betty Crocker cook book from 1969, I’m 74 now and still enjoy making these cookies (my daughter’s favorite Christmas cookie) every Christmas, and I still have that book.😉❤

My sisters make really good cookies. Rugelach, spice cookies and cutout butter cookies.
I crave my aunt’s sugar cookies. Instead of using extracted almond or vanilla as it’s flavoring, the recipe uses whiskey. Really. The flavor is divine. I don’t even frost the cookies I eat because the dough tastes so good!
Sugar cookies that are decorated by my 4 year old.
Sugar cookies and home made bourbon balls,
Basically, my sweet tooth is out of control! There’s really no holiday sweet I wouldn’t love. However, if I have to choose one as my go-to, it would have to be Peanut Butter Blossom cookies. They’re super easy to make and who doesn’t love a cookie with a Hershey’s Kiss in the middle?!! I love to make them every year at Christmas. I struggle not to eat them all while making them!
i love italian rainbow cookies
There are sooo many good desserts my family makes for the holiday season, but I think my favorite is my great aunt’s cookies. They’re a melt away cookie made with a lot of butter and sugar. Little round balls that melt in your mouth! Food coloring is used to make them red or green. Along with them my great aunt used to make and now my mom makes Mexican wedding cookies. Each of these cookies melts in your mouth. They’re so beautiful with their red, green, and white presented together. And, of course, making and enjoying these cookies every year is one of the ways to keep and reminisce about our Aunt Ollie! ❤❤❤

Peanut Butter balls! Those sugar cookies look to pretty to eat.
I’ve always loved pumpkin pie with freshly made whip cream. Growing up my mom would make the crust from scratch. She always made extra so she could make pinwheels that we’d have for breakfast in the morning. They were not quite a cookie, not quite a cinnamon roll. She’d roll out the the extra dough, cover it in butter and cinnamon sugar then roll it up and slice them…pinwheels. When they baked they’d caramelize a little bit. She eventually stopped and our Christmas morning ritual when I was an adult were these soft baked scones with fresh cream and jam/jelly. She and I liked trying new and different jams each year. The first Christmas after she passed, I was in the store and saw this container in the bakery section with something that looked like her pinwheels. They weren’t exactly the same but so close that I cried. Now if I could just find her soft scone recipe….
I love the Christmas cookies we make on Christmas Eve with my sisters, nieces and nephews. One of my sisters bakes them, using Martha Stewart’s sugar cookie recipe, then we all decorate them!

I Love fruit cake cookes, only make once a year
I love the spritz cookies you make using that device that looks like a gun and that lets you affix different shapes of cookies to the barrel. The taste is similar to a sugar cookie, not overly sweet, and you’re able to eat just one because of their smaller size.
Almond Cresents and a swiss roll cake. Reminds me of childhood.
Cut out butter cookies with a powder sugar icing are my favorite. It’s something I’d never had until my step-mom came into my life. I think the fact that I associate them with her might be part of the reason I love then so much. 😉

They are both huge recipes that were made when families were quite big. The gingers uses 9 cups of flour and the vanilla one uses 8 cups. Every year my mother would make over 50 dozen cookies of all types to use as gifts and for us to eat. There was one she made, a cream cheese cookie that was just so divine. I don’t know how she did it but she made her cookies from memory and although my sisters and I asked her how she did it, we could never get the cookies to taste like hers 🙁 personally I think her fingers were infused with the magick of love.
