Welcome to my annual 12 DAYS OF GIVEAWAYS!
If you’re new to this – here’s how it works:
1. Each day from December 1 through December 12 I will put up a new giveaway HERE on my website with instructions on how to enter, a detailed description of the prize, and some stuff about the book or series. Each giveaway is different and each has ONE WINNER UNLESS you are the winner and you are from Australia or New Zealand.
IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ!
MY GIVEAWAYS ARE ALWAYS OPEN INTERNATIONAL BUT the United States Post Office has stopped all mail delivery to AUS and NZ. Shit is weird BUT you can still win if you’re from AUS or NZ because each giveaway has a GIFT CARD as well as a physical gift. So if the winner chosen is from AUS or NZ – there will be TWO winners. The AUS/NZ winner will get the GIFT CARD and the second winner will get the physical prize but NO gift card.
2. Each giveaway runs UNTIL DECEMBER 13.
3. Winners are CHOSEN and NOTIFIED on December 14. I will be notifying winners in various ways depending on how people enter. Sometimes on FB, sometimes on IG, sometimes in my FB fan group (Shrike Bikes), sometimes via email – and all winners will BE LISTED AT THE TOP OF EACH GIVEAWAY POST HERE ON MY WEBSITE on December 14.
4. Winners have 24 hours to respond, then another winner will be chosen.
5. ALL PRIZES WILL BE MAILED ON DECEMBER 15. If I’m waiting on a winner to respond and they miss the December 15 mail date, that prize will be mailed when I get around to it. I live in the middle of nowhere so a trip to the post office is a “thing” for me. 🙂 So make sure you’re checking for winners on the 14th.
6. I will send newsletters announcing giveaways on December 1, December 6, December 12, and a Winner newsletter on December 14. I NEVER send this many newsletters in a month so sorry if that feels spammy. I just have quite a few readers who do not do socials and there will be at least three giveaways that do not involve socials in any way. So I need to get the word out.

I LOVE audiobooks. That’s the only way I get any reading done because my eyeballs are too tired to read at night. I look at this computer screen for too many hours each day to focus on words once work is over.
And I NEED to have the perfect narrators! lol I choose each one. Most of the time I choose them before I write the book but definitely I know who I want to narrate before I’m done. I don’t know if I can pick a favorite. You really just need to look at my audiobooks to see who I love. They are all there. 🙂 I really can’t choose one. There are so many good ones. But you can be sure, if they have narrated for me, I loved them!

I listen to audio books almost all day! That way I have my hands free to work and chase kids around! I don’t have a favorite reader. there are so many good ones I have found! But I can listen to about a book a day depending on the length of it!
Love audiobooks! My favorite narrators are Teddy Hamilton, Savannah Peachwood, Tracy Marks, Ava Erickson, Zachary Webber, Eric Rolon, Kylie Stewart.
I’m mostly an ebook reader only because it sticks better in my head when I read it. I do listen to audiobooks sometimes though, and I really like Sebastian York and Kylie Stewart.
My favourite audiobook narrator is Le Petit Mort. Apart from his unusual name his voice is very deep and sexy.

I absolutely love audiobooks. I’m a huge fan of multitasking and can get more “reading” in if I listen to books. (However, there is no substitute for the feel of a physical book in my hands, but it’s hard to find time to be able to sit and read 😭) I also have an hour long commute to and from work and find myself having less road rage if I’m listening to books rather than the radio. I think this is because I get to listen to more of my book if I’m stuck in traffic or whatever before I have to deal with people (whether at home or at work 😂). It is extremely difficult to choose just one person as my favorite narrator but if I had to choose one male and one female I would probably go with Sebastian York (I love, love, LOVE his voice) and Savannah Peachwood. No, I really can’t get into the audio. I have tried several times, but my mind has its own voice for each character and the audio kills it for me.
I’m not an audio bookworm & don’t have a fave narrative for audio. I prefer reading. That’s it.
I love listening to Audiobooks when working or traveling in the car. I haven’t got a favourite but need the same voice for a series or they don’t sound like it the same book.

I love audiobooks and I am probably slightly addicted to them 🙂 dont get me wrong I also love “reading” books (mostly on my kindle) and when I absolutely love a story then I will buy a physical book to have for myself on my bookshelf. My favorite narrator is Tad Branson, especially for the Original Sin series 🙂 I absolutely l Iove that series truly amazing
I absolutely love audiobooks!! I usually listen while reading so I can get the whole experience and vibe of the book. It’s so hard to choose a favorite, but I would say Ava Erickson and Jason Clarke are perfection!!

I haven’t listened to an audio book for quite awhile but I do like them. I especially enjoy it when the author narrates the book.

I love audiobooks but I can only listen to them when I’m on the treadmill or driving in the car, otherwise I get too distracted and miss parts. I LOVE Shane East’s voice for the British accent. I also love Teddy Hamilton, Jason Clarke, Trina Nishimura, Hathaway Lee, and of course, Tad Branson!

I DO listen to audio books often. I’ll be honest, I don’t pay much attention to WHO is narrating for the most part although I love Michael Pauley, Sebastian York, Teddy Hamilton, Andy Arndt.
I am sorry to say I have never listened to an audio book. I’m 68 and kind of set in my ways. It took me years to get a kindle (I now have 5). Have no idea how to do bookfunnel, so I know I’m missing out there. I have no idea how i would do an Audio book. All though if i play around with Alexa I have gotten her to read for me a couple of times.

By then end of the day my ears can’t take any more and I just want the quiet time to get lost in a great book. I listen to audio books any time I’m by myself in the car. Sometimes my son and I will listen to a story we pick together. I like Troy Durand, Andi Arndt, Sebastian York, Connor Crais, MacKenzie Cartwright, Wen Ross, Michael Pierce, Reba Burr … to name a few. It all depends on what I’m in the mood for…there are narrators for laughter and mystery and also those that can fulfill your fantasies. I’ll try anyone once maybe twice. I’ll be honest, I’ve returned a book or two based on voice, sound and delivery. Then I can reference the names and make sure I don’t make the same mistake twice.

I have never really been able to get into audio books, but maybe that is only because I have not found the right one for me. I am a very fast reader and I feel like the audio books take too long, or the narrator doesn’t do the reading voice in my head justice. Reading is the best as I’m probably addicted and cannot function without reading everyday. If I forget my Kindle or phone, cereal boxes and shampoo bottles will suffice. When I commuted for my job, I decided to get a free Audible subscription to try out. I decided to start with the Outlander series. I have absolutely loved this series. I think the narrator Davina Porter does an excellent job with the different voices. I’ve since dipped my toes into other audiobooks, but it’s not my favorite.
I can not ever pay attention to audio books. My mind just has to do the reading to my self. I have always had to follow along reading even when I was in school.
I haven’t really gotten into audiobooks. I don’t care for one voice narrating all the characters…maybe if there was at least one male and one female narrator to separate the main characters in a book 🤷🏻♀️ Therefore, I do not have a favorite narrator. Thank you.

I have never done the audible books. I’ve always wanted to try it, but haven’t yet. I am not into audiobooks. Not because I don’t like then, it’s just don’t find the time to hear them. It’s easier to read for a few minutes. My drive to work is only 5 minutes so car is not an option. Maybe someday.

I listen to audible all the time. I finish around two sometimes three books a day. You asked who my favorite narrator is and as you know that’s like saying here a bag of chips but you can only have one!! Just not doable.
So I’ll give the short list of narrators that haven’t narrated for you before. I know they’re might be a couple of books I might have missed sorry for that. Here we go. Joe Arden he does an awesome job and if you ever need a Scottish sound he does the best I’ve ever heard!! Aden Snow, Wen Ross wonderful with the Russian accent. Kai kennacot (that might not be spelled right but she’s awesome)

Yes, Audible is my book addiction 100%. I listen and work. Listen and cook. Listen and ignore the people who want to talk. Audible has multiple uses for me. Being able to multitask and listen is a good day. Favorite narrarator? 100% would leave my husband for Shane East.

I have just started to get into audio books – I have always just preferred to have the book or kindle in hand. With the pandemic and working from home I started listening to some while I worked and it goes ok depending on what I am working on.
I love audio books! A friend of mine recommended audio books a couple years ago – I was resistant at first, but did a 30-day free trial and got hooked – so much so that now I have to make a real effort to read a physical book – though I haven’t stopped purchasing them – lol. My favorite narrators, ahhh, it’s hard to choose, so here is a very narrowed down list: Andi Arndt and Ava Erickson for the female characters and Sebastian York and Teddy Hamilton for the male characters. But there are so many more!!

Tad Branson will always be my favorite narrator. I’ve even searched audiobooks with him as narrator and enjoyed them. But there are none so good as the Huss or Huss/McClain books! Audiobooks are great as I have tinnitus and silence causes it to really bother me. If I can pop in an earbud and turn on an audiobook I’m a happy camper for the whole day!!

Favourite audiobook Narrator – Zachary Webber was totally my favourite until you introduce me to Tad Branson. OMG he sounds the way my internal dialogue voice feels. Ok maybe that makes no sense. I am female, he is male but his delivery is just the same as in my head. Sorry Zachary. That said I love all the narrators you choose they are all regulars in my audio library. (I also have a special place on my heart for English narrator Stephen Fry. But please never never get him to read any of your books with sex scenes! All kinds of wrong!)

I’m a sometimes kind of girl…it really depends on the narrator. If they get me interested right away or just leave me floating. I never listen to a book I haven’t already read. I read fast and the narrator’s usually don’t…I like knowing what’s going to happen. I don’t have a favorite.
Yes! I tend to use whispersync a lot. I listen to the audio while I am doing chores or arts&crafts. Whispersync allows me to easily switch over to reading when I get a chance to sit down and read. Teddy Hamilton is my favorite male narrator and I would have to go with Hollie Jackson for female. That said, I need variety. I binge listen/read authors and series, so when an author uses the same one or two narrators for every couple in their books or their series of stand alone books featuring different couples those characters start to lose their distinctive voices in audiobooks. This doesn’t help when authors already struggle with giving their characters distinctive voices/personalities.
I don’t really like audiobooks. The only one I liked was the multicast Jane Eyre and I actually loved it!

Like the hubs can drive and listen to his. Audibles and will understand every word. His Audibles are philosophical too. So the narrators voice is so boring, well to me anyways.
I will admit though, that the Audibles that I’ve heard, I did like the ones that had different voices (gender specific), instead of just one voice the entire time.

I listen to audio books all the time and this is by far my favorite set. Rook and Ronin got me hooked. I first found a body book then realized I needed the background after listening to those funny and amazing EOBS’s. You are by far my favorite author.

Just in the last couple of months I have listened to my first few audiobooks. My best friend swears by them but every time I have tried in the past I found my mind wandering so far that I had no idea what had happened without the words on the page keeping me anchored. She kept hounding me to try some so I did some while working and of the ones I tried I enjoyed Zachary Webber the most (very limited candidates though so I’m sure there are lots of other great narrators). I don’t think I’d ever want to do a really important book to me via audiobook but I didn’t mind having one of my fluff books playing while I did some mindless tasks at work.

My absolute favorite narrator is Jason Clarke. I even dreamed about him last night! It was an odd dream and not at all sexual but I heard his voice like he was right there in the room! Honestly I have never tried an audio book. I know me though and I am so used to reading on my Kindle that I wouldn’t have the mindset to stay still and listen to the words. I love curling up in my reading chair to read and get a visual from the pages. I haven’t done audible books yet. I do want to try it though. I’ve listened to the audio books that you put on your sites and have liked them. I do prefer hearing male and female voices, not just one voice for all. Have enjoyed the people I’ve heard on yours. I have been listening to audio books for years as a way to get off to sleep. I discovered JA Huss 3 months ago and am completely hooked! Teddy Hamilton and Sebastian York are my favourite narrators. I’m always amazed how they change their voices for the different characters in different series. Really great talent!

I LOVE audiobooks! I spend a lot of time on the computer building online courses and the tasks can be mundane. Listening to audiobooks has changed my world. I feel guilty saying (darn Catholic upbringing) I read this book or that book because I listened but I really enjoy them and the narrator is key. A great story can be ruined by the wrong narrator. I love Johnathon McClain, Jason Clarke, Zachery Webber, Shane East Sebastian York, Joe Arden and Jack Calihan for the guys and female Erin Mallon, Andi Arndt, Kylie Stewart, Saskia Maarleveld, Vanessa Edwin and Sophie Eastlake.

I have listened to samples of audio books and the person speaking never matches the voice in my head of the character when I read the book. I don’t care for the samples I have listened to. A lot of my friends and family ask if I listen to audio books and no, I don’t. I love diving into a book and watching and listening to the book that makes a movie in my head while I am reading the book.
I’m afraid I don’t have the patience to listen to someone read to me. As I read very quickly, I would be screaming at it to hurry up and tell me more. So while it’s lovely for others, I shall continue to read all your kick arse books the old fashioned way x
I don’t like listening to audio books, I think my main issue with them is the narrator’s voice that throws it off for me. I’ve only ever tried it with a couple books. It ruined the whole feel for the book. I have seen different comments about the audio book narrator s being there favorite. Maybe I just need to give it a go with a different author who uses different narrator’s. I also only ever listened to books that I previously read before listening to the audio book. So I had a voice in my head then hearing the narrator throw it completely off of my own thought of how a character be. So it does effect alot of different things about a book by having it turned to audio. I can see why alot of authors are doing this though. It’s the new big thing! So people can listen anywhere. It’s just not for me, at least I don’t think it is.
I enjoy Audible, listen when I’m cleaning makes the job more fun.

I have only listened to 1 audiobook. It was a Christine Feehan book Murder at Sunrise Lake but I don’t know who the narrator was. It was hard to get into because I have an idea in my head of what the characters sound like so listening to someone else makes it weird.

I like non-fiction as audiobooks because it feels as if I am listening to a great radio show, but I’m not a fan of fiction as audiobooks or then each character should have an own narrator and that becomes expensive. I’ve tried to like them, but they are just not my cup of tea.

While I spend more time actually reading instead of listening, I absolutely love audio books. Normally I can listen to books while I’m at work but since I’m training new people I unfortunately can’t at the moment. There are several narrators that I absolutely love so I can’t pick a favorite. Although I will say that if the voice doesn’t vibe right with the story it ruins it for me and I have to read it.

I do not like audiobooks. I can not focus on the story when someone else is reading it to me. It makes me feel bad for my kids because I try to get them to do their reading. Kids only willing to do it if I am listening and it’s so hard to stay still and to pay attention and know what is going on.

I love audio books. I have since they were on CDs and I drove from Pennsylvania to Baltimore to work. These days, I listen to more books than I read. I listen while I work, while I’m driving, if I’m waiting for the doctor, I listen all the time. I don’t have a favorite narrator as most authors know who works for their stories, and I agree with them. Some books, like yours, I’ve listened to so many times, that I hear the narrator even if I’m reading.

I have listened to a few but I prefer to read myself. When I do listen to audio books though, I prefer multiple narrators. Especially for m/f books. Males doing a female character and vice versa is so hard to wrap my head around.

I’m not the biggest fan of Audio books as I have some hearing loss ☺️ but my sister and Gran adore them. Gran because she is partially blind and my sister as she is always in the car so she enjoys that time to herself catching up on her fave authors.

I love audiobooks! I’m a big fan of multitasking and can get a lot more “reading” done if I listen to books. (However, nothing beats the feel of a physical book in my hands, but it’s so hard to find the time 😭). I also have an hour long commute to and from work and I’ve found that I have less road rage when listening to books rather than the radio. I think this is because when someone cuts me off or I’m stuck in a traffic jam I GET (it’s all about your mindset) to listen to more of my book prior to having to interact with people (whether at home or work 🤣).
It is difficult to choose just one person as my favorite narrator as there as so many good ones. If I had to choose one male and one female narrator I would choose Sebastian York (I love, love, LOVE his voice) and Savannah Peachwood. Thanks for the opportunity for winning some free swag 😎

I don’t use audiobooks. I find I can’t concentrate on them and my mind wanders. also I need to see the words to understand what’s going on, which I realize not everyone is able to read physical books or kindles for whatever reasons.
I would probably enjoy audio books but for the fact that I suffer from tinnitus. The constant noise in my ears makes hearing things very difficult. So, I’m relegated to reading. I do enjoy your writing style though!

I don’t do audible books because I don’t have the time for them, oddly enough. I would if only I could multi task, but I can’t. For example, I was once driving through the mountains and forgot my turnoff so I went two hours out of my way—all why listening to a book on cassette tape (you can obviously tell that this was a long time ago). If I did listen, it would be to your books, Julie. I love to read them, so again, you’d think I’d listen to them. Maybe it’s a habit thing.

I’ve tried to listen to audio once. I had started reading a book (I can’t even remember which one it was bc it’s been awhile), but I heard the characters’ voices in my head when reading. I switched to audio bc I had about a two hour drive alone. After one chapter I was finished. The characters didn’t sound like they sounded in my head so I couldn’t do it. I’d love to try again, but nothing beats a cup a coffee & a blanket curled up on the couch reading 🙂
I hate to say it, but I do not like audio books. A lot of time I feel like the narrator does not match with character. I also feel forced into feeling certain things when some reads to me. I like to read on my own.

I used to listen while I was driving between home visits, but I’ve been on disability for over a decade and it helps now keep me company when I’m alone and helps me drop off to sleep at night. Love audiobooks! It’s the only way I “read” books now. It also brought me back to my love of books. I stopped reading a while back cause I just couldnt (or wouldnt lol) find the time to sit and read. Audiobooks just made things so convenient for me! It’s also great that I drag my 2 best friends into this addictions so now Im not only enjoying audiobooks but enjoying audiobooks WITH my BFFs haha.
My fave is Ava Erickson. I actually first heard her on your book, 18. My first JA Huss book too. I was a Huss goner after that! But I couldnt just have 1 narrator, I have a few but I’ll just give another one and it’s Christian Fox. Ava and Christian are both amazing performers! Top notch.

I looooove audio books! It gives you a complete different take on the story as you hear it being interpreted. It doesn’t take away the thrill of reading a book yourself. They are conpletely different experiences and I like them both. My all time favorite narrator is hands down the wonderful Jason Clarke.

It was over 30 hours and a book I had already read, so did not distract my driving. I have no idea who narrated it, but they did a great job! LOL
I should know these things, because I’ve tried myself to get into the voice-over industry. I got smaller assignments, like small bits in documentaries or some business’s voice mail system. I may pursue it harder after I’m done homeschooling my youngest. Maybe. Or I may fulfill my wish to write.

I love, love, love audiobooks! I have read 400 books this year and 95% were audiobooks. I love that I can do other things like the dishes and laundry but my favorite is going out on my kayak and listening. I actually remember I was on the kayak while listening to Ford. And Jason Clarke is by far my favorite 😍 His voice is amazing! It was a dream come true to meet him in Philly last month!

I do like to listen to Audiobooks when i’m driving long distances, mostly because i feel like I’m going thru reading withdrawal when i am stuck behind the wheel for hours. I live 8 hours drive or further from the majority of my family, so long car trips happen often. However, i’m much more likely to listen to a mystery or adventure novel than a romance. Romance needs to be savored, with pages/scenes read more than once to get the full effect.

I don’t really care for audiobooks. I’ve tried, but it’s never compared to listening to it in my own head. I’ve always imagined the characters voices when I read (accents and all). It’s been that way since I was a little girl. Even when I read out loud I do all the voices. I used to get teased in school when I got picked to read out loud. But after a while, they all started doing their version of the voices too. Made English class a whole lot more fun and entertaining lol

Ive never done audio books before
I tried an audiobook as a trial and lasted 5 minutes. Couldn’t get into it. I love the hot of reading on my Kindle app as I can imagine the characters and their voices. I do, however, want to listen to Sick Heart on audio. That book gives me chills and I’ve already read it 3 times!

I don’t do audiobooks. I like the quiet while I read. At night it helps quiet my mind so I can sleep. I love for my mind to wonder imaging the setting and character in my mind’s eye. Some people use audiobooks while they drive. I personally would not get as much enjoyment out of the book because I would be focusing on driving.

I have not had the chance to listen to a full audiobook yet. I have six kids and it just doesn’t work out for me. I hope to be able to take a long road trip one day and be able to listen.

I love my audiobooks. I drive for a living and the people I drive, their culture doesn’t believe in radio or tv so I get a lot of books done each week and I wish more authors had their books done in audible but I do with what I got.
To answer your question there are so many that I like: Jim Frangione, Joe Arden, Erin Mallon, Kia Kennicott and Wen Ross those are some of my all time faves.
I’ve tried to get into audiobooks, but it’s just not the same experience as reading. Too noisy. and I have to pay attention. I am almost never alone, which means someone is usually wanting to converse. i cant listen and hear at the same time. lol.

I love audiobooks and have 352 audiobook titles in my library. I can drive, cook, clean, exercise, and do multiple things while listening to them. There are some amazing narrators out there! Some favorites are: Jim Frangione, Derek Shoales, Xe Sands, Dion Graham, Dawson McBride, Erin Mallon, Brad Wills, Luke Daniels, and too many others to name! The good ones really bring a story to life!
I read when I’m home, but I like audiobooks for work and when I’m driving or attempting to work out. My favorites are Sebastian York, Andi Arendt, and Teddy Hamilton. Rook and Ronin series holds a special place in my heart because it started my love for all your books. ❤

I LOVE audiobooks. I can get so much done while listening. It helps calm me too. I can get into a different mindset. Especially if I’m feeling overwhelmed. I don’t have any favorite narrators yet. But I can tell you the voice makes the difference. There have been times I’ve stopped a audiobook because I hated the narrator.
I LOVE audiobooks as I have an hour commute each way 3 days a week! I feel like I get so much more out of my day working through my reading list while I drive. I love Andi Arndt, Mackenzie Cartwright, and Jeremy York.

I LOVE AUDIOBOOKS! I work in an office for around 8-9 hours M-F so I will listen to podcast or audiobooks all day everyday! I do not have one favorite narrator. I have a few I like but if I like the description of the book I will listen to it regardless of who is the narrator.
I’m a little obsessed with audiobooks! I feel like I can get more done and I’m willing to do more if I’m listening to a book. I miss the feel of a physical book but I cannot remember the last time I read a book with my eyes. One of my all time favorite narrators is Jacob Morgan. I can listen to almost anything if he’s narrating.

I love audiobooks! I love being able to multi-task. Though i will say usually i end up reading the book later. I still haven’t found a narrator that sticks out to me. I do love hearing the ones that get into the story. They don’t just read the story, they are the story.
I’ve only recently started listening to audiobooks, I always preferred to get lost in a book but I can’t manage it quite the same with ausiobooks. I’ve still found the audios handy when I’m busy working on other things and can’t sit quietly with a good book though. So far Sebastian York or Joe Arden have been my favourite but that might change the more I listen to. 😀
I love listening to audiobooks as a way of re-reading my favourite stories. I listen to them when I’m ironing and cooking mainly, and sometimes in the car. My favourite narrators are Callie Dalton, Erin Mallon and Stephen Dexter. I also loved Amy Stricker when she did her debut narration for a new adult novel that I loved, although I’ve yet to see another audiobook on Audible by her.

To be honest, I am not an audiobook person. I’ve been a caregiver for years. I have to be able to hear things, so putting earplugs in to listen to a book and close off the outside world just doesn’t work for me.

I love to listen to the audiobooks when i am working medical billing charges. I helps spice up the monotony! I don’t have a favoriate narrator, but there are a couple I do not like. Their voices lack characterization, so I will not pick up the audio even if it is by an author i like. I will just wait to read the book.

I love audiobooks, but my favorite narrator is actually one who narrates for the National Library Service for the Blind. I don’t know if she does any commercial narrating. Her name is Martha Harmon Pardee. There are many good narrators, but she is the one who comes to mind.

Hi – I have never listened to an audio book. I need my eyes involved in reading or else they will latch on to something else and I can no longer focus on two things at once. Maybe if I had a long commute, or ran/jogged long distances I would try to listen to them, but I spend most of my day sitting in front of this computer with a news station on the TV. =) If I am reading I don’t hear the TV, so I usually just turn it off if I am going to read.

I am not a huge fan of audio books for a couple of reasons. I naturally read quite a bit faster than the books are narrated and it makes it harder for me to enjoy the book. Secondly, I’m very particular about the voices that go with both books and characters. However! I did use a free audible credit on Lucy Score’s The Worst Best Man and I greatly enjoyed that.
