DESCRIPTION
When I answered an ad for a caretaker at Saint Mark’s Sanctuary I thought I’d be dusting chandeliers and polishing floors. I didn’t expect to be tricked into a curse, going in debt to a monster, and being forced to take a self-paced “Let’s Learn Magic” course so I can fix a two-thousand-year-old problem.
And that monster?
Not your ordinary, everyday beast.
He has hooves, and horns, and fur on his legs.
But ya know where he doesn’t have fur?
Yep. There.
Which is fine.
Except he doesn’t wear pants.
Nothing at Saint Mark’s is exactly what it seems.
The entire inside is magic, the hallways upstairs are nothing but parties from the past, and the super-hot guy who lives in the dungeon?
Yeah.Not human.
My name is Pie and all I want is to be a normal girl with an average life.
I refuse to get stuck in this curse.
I refuse to learn magic to break it.
And there is no way in hell I will fall in love with a monster.
Famous.
Last.
Words.
DAMAGED GODS is a fun paranormal monster romance about a girl named Pie who accidentally stumbles into a monster’s 2000-year-old curse only to find she’s exactly where she’s supposed to be.
EXCERPT
“If this kills me—”
“If this kills you, you should thank me. Since you’re immortal. That means your curse would be broken.”
Well. She’s got a point there. I put the test tube up to my lips, almost pass out from the horrible smell, then down it in one gulp. It hits my stomach with a burn.
“The burn passes,” Pie says hurriedly. And she puts her hand on my arm, either faking compassion or really meaning it.
Her touch is warm too. And something about it does make me feel better. Soon, the burn is gone and in its place is a tingling feeling in my hands. Then a buzzing in my head.
“Did you get to the buzzing yet?” she asks. I nod. “Good. You’re almost there. Now, while we’re waiting for it to work, let’s talk about this job.”
“No.” I put up a hand. “Not now.”
“Yes. I need a job. Just a part-time one. The Honey Bean is looking for a waitress. I need that, Pell. And I will use all my money to buy what we need and then I won’t have to go into debt.”
“You don’t get it. That won’t work. The harder you fight the curse, the more it works against you. The less magic money you use, the more the curse will force you to use it. Bad things will happen. And that will force you to work harder to…” I pause, not really wanting to say the last bit.
“Harder to what?” she presses.
“Please me. The harder you’ll have to work to please me with the debt book stuff.”
She points a finger in my face. “I will not be blowing you. Just… FYI.”
I cannot hide my laugh. “Good to know. And for the record, Pie, you’re not my type.”
She lifts her chin up in indignation like I just insulted her. “I’m not your type?”
“Nope.”
“What kind of type do you like? Bull girls?”
“I’m not a bull.”
“A satyr chimera girl?”
“There are no female satyr chimeras. We’re all men.”
“Then what is your type?” And now she’s annoyed.
I shrug. “I’ve always been partial to the nymphs.”
“Nymphs.” She crinkles her nose like the thought of nymphs is distasteful. “Water fairies?”
“Not fairies. Nymphs. You know. Willowy girls with evil intentions lurking in the forest.”
She laughs. A real laugh. “You like bad girls?”
“I do.”
“I’m not bad enough for you?”
“Not even close.”

hiking
I haven’t been doing anything this summer but reading.
I have been waiting for this to drop. I m so excited..
My summer so far has been working from home still and I am thankful to still have my job. And listening to books and spending plenty of time out by the pool it’s Hot 🥵 here in Texas. I am definitely ready for Fall 🍁not so much winter 🥶 as we had Snowmageddon this past Feb. Thank you for the Chance to win and congratulations on your New Release.. 🔥🔥🔥🔥😏
We’ve been spending lots of time with our grandson.
Congratulations on the new release and new trope! I can’t wait to listen to the book.
I haven’t done anything fun this Summer. Summer has always been about Concerts, baseball games, and Wrestling shows for me. But with Covid, I’ve just been at home babysitting and reading wishing I could do those things again.
Didn’t do anything for fun I went through my back I was all summer recovering.
But I got to read a lot so that’s a plus.
The only really fun that comes to mind is that my brother threw my step-sister a surprise half birthday party. Her birthday is Christmas day and she has never really had a birthday party that I know of. My brother of course doesn’t remember that my birthday is 2 days after the surprise party he threw for our sister. Oh well, I don’t really care. I got to see my brother and sister that I haven’t seen in over a year. I got to meet my grand nephew (who is turning 2 this weekend). I got to see my nieces big pregnant belly. I got to see Aunts, Uncles and cousins I had not seen in years. The best part? I got to HUG all these people. Bonus! The hubby and I ate at the bar the party was held at. This is the first time in over a year we had ate in a restaurant. Oh, I got a little tipsy LOL.
An excellent giveaway!
As for this summer? Truthfully?…not very freaking much! #ImAbore!
I’ve enjoyed sharing meals with extended family and close friends and LOTS of HUGS!
I took my daughter to her college campus tour- the walking portion was rained out – we were drenched with torrential rains – they gave everyone free blankets and t-shirts and we had to stay the night in Flagstaff because of flash flood warnings! Took my girls to the beach foe a few days and turned 50 a few weeks ago!
Whoohoo cant wait!!
I took the deep dive into reviewing & Bookstagraming. It’s been interesting & fun.
We have been around mostly, enjoying going to some outdoor concerts, seeing friends again. Going in a girls spa trip in 3 weeks
We visited Etretat in France, so pretty !
We went to the beach in Florida, my husband bought a metal detector and we spent several days roaming the beach. We found .40 cents but it was fun.
This week I will be watching my nieces & nephews show their livestock at the county fair.
I got to visit with a friend I haven’t seen in 5 years!
Just this last Sunday we went and had lunch with my little sis then went to the beach (Lake MI) for a couple hours. The day was perfect for it.
Congrats on the new release!!!
I haven’t done anything that interesting this summer…a lot of reading, mostly 🙂
On chapter 2 right now and I want a Pia!
I’ve been reading and writing lots of reviews and posting them all over retail and book sites. When not reading, I’m working on my Cozy Mystery Launch Party FB page, taking longs baths (and reading), going to various wineries around the state with hubby, and I recently became the V.P. of our library board!!!
Because of health problems with my breathing, I’ve been spending a lot of time inside doing crafts and reading.
Had a BBQ at my brothers house on the 4 th of July then fireworks 💥
Congratulations 🎉
Doing quite a bit of hiking and walking, packing and reading… good summer so far!
Spending quality time with my kiddos hiking and taking day trips places
Reading and working in the garden.
I am retiring.
Haven’t done much this summer but work on my garden. Thank you for the chance
We’ve been doing a lot of traveling to CA to visit my mother in law who we had to put into assisted living. But sitting with her gives me lots of time to read! And I’m still plugging away at building up a succulent garden.
The fun thing I am doing this summer is going to the pool to do my physical therapy exercises. I have a routine that takes about an hour. I go in the morning and am usually the only person there. I’m definitely the only one in the water. For an hour I dance around in the pool oblivious to anything going on around me. In the water I am free and feel great. Then I have to leave the water and return to reality.
Haven’t really been able to do anything so far this summer but at the end of this month is my nieces engagement party.
Congrats on the New Release!!! I have been working over the summer.
I haven’t done much but read and take care of my boys 🙂 Thanks for the chance!
I spent Memorial weekend in San Diego with family and had a great time!
Thank you so much for the chance!!🖤💜🖤
I have been reading all summer 😊 along with spending time with my mom before I go back to work in the fall.💜🖤
Loved Damaged Gods
We went to Spain to visit my brother and his family who live there. We had planned to go last summer but had to cancel when the pandemic started.
This is an awesome giveaway! Thank you so much for the opportunity! Congrats on the new release, and I can’t wait to read this one! 😍

I took my grandkids to the zoo for the 1st time and the joy on there faces priceless 😀
We have a new young pup so we are still training him and getting him used to everything.
Hope you have a wonderful summer!
Made a butterfly and hummingbird sanctuary on my porch with all kinds of beautiful flowers. And hung all kinds of beautiful chimes with different sounds!! Can’t wait to read this book!!! Love guys with horns!!! Congrats on your new book!!!💋💕
Haven’t done much this summer. A little swimming and went to the county fair
We went to FL to visit my mom, so much fun! We went to Animal Kingdom, kids loved it. We closed on our house, so in 20 so years we will own it lol. It has been a BIG summer. We put up a fence for the dog and a new vanity in the bathroom! Next we start some more remodel 🙂
Reading lots of books and going to lots of movies
I went to my best friend’s,son’s wedding and had a great time visiting with people who are like family to me!
Love this and can’t wait to read this! Congrats on your new release ❤
Congratulations on your new book that will I’m sure will bring in 5 Star ratings. My summer has kinda sucked except for reading your books and anticipating reading your books!❤😜😁
Love your books! Happy release day, can’t wait to start Damaged Gods!
Loving the new book! How many books are you planning for the series?
Two for now. I’m not making any long-term plans for this series because it’s only for fun. 🙂
We bought hummingbird feeders, bird seed feeders and squirrel feeders. We fill them in the morning. We have them on the front porch and hanging around my husband’s work shed. We love watching them all day…so do the cats…who are inside.
I love this. I want bird feeders but I’m afraid our magpies will just chase everything away. It’s weird here – in the middle of the summer all the birds (esp the magpies) go away. And then they come back for the rest of the year. I don’t know what that’s about. lol
I went on a camping trip with the extended family. There were 35 of us there and it was so fun.
Been doing a lot of sitting outside in the nice weather reading and helping my daughter in the garden. She has the green thumb I do not.
I got adopted by a tiny black kitten. He just walked into my house about 6 weeks ago and made himself at home. I named him Poe.
AWWW
I’ve been hiking.
Just been watching my two grandsons and hanging out with my mom and kids. This weekend heading out of town to help my daughter move into a new apartment.
We finally bought kayaks in March (they were hard to find for a couple years) and been on the lake a ton. Also made a trip to Denver to see youngest
I read the excerpt for Damaged Gods and just giggled, then ordered on Audible. Can’t wait to dive in. Speaking of dive in, one fun thing I did this summer was that I went with my BFF to her new lake house and we “floated”. Was so relaxing! The neighbors invited us up for lunch so we “floated” over to their dock where they gave us towels and then treated us to homemade stir fry, veggie wontons, homemade IPA (delish), apple pie and then freaking made the best cappuccino’s. After we just “floated” back to our dock. 🙂
Nice giveaway
My daughter and I visited my parents (the grandparents) for a few days. We’d hoped to spend a few weeks, but our upstairs air compressor broke, and we’ve had to be home to wait (and wait, and wait…) all summer – since the first of June – for the incompetent company our homeowner’s insurance hired to attempt to repair it. We’re still waiting.
Damaged Gods certainly doesn’t sound like a typical romance. After reading several darker romances, I’ve been looking for something lighter and outside the norm and this certainly seems to fit. Looking forward to reading it. 🙂
I’m so excited to read this and these giveaways are incredible!!!!! This summer hasn’t been much fun for me due to a decline in my health but one incredible, funny and great thing that happened over the summer was seeing my puppy [a pugzu called Mim after Madam Mim in Disney’s The Sword in the Stone] who is 10 months playing in the sand pit we got for my baby cousin and watching her ‘panic’ when she can’t find the treats she’s buried in the sand
I read a lot and baked some yummy goodies
I gone to some festivals and parade
When my four year old great-grandson Isaiah stays at my house, he gets up in the morning and we talk about everything. He’s like a little man so serious and also funny. He lights my world up.
A very quite summer
Lots of reading, plus meeting with friends that I haven’t seen in over a year so that we could exchange big, yummy hugs!!
I got to go see to go see my favorite band the Avett brothers play and it was awesome!!
Thank you for the chance! I’ve been working, reading, and trying to entertain my son all summer.
Congratulations on your new release! I am looking forward to reading “Damaged Goods”!

The best thing about this summer – my 2yr old grandson and books!!!!
I can not believe we have to wait until APRIL to find out what happens! Grr!
I started a new job! 🙂

The only fun thing I did this summer was play softball
This is an awesome giveaway. Thank you for the chance.
A few weeks ago, I went to a local sunflower farm and cut two buckets worth of stems. It was hot, but fun!
i have been spending the summer getting ready for my daughters royal 17
I really haven’t done much more than mow the lawn and move my daughter into her new college apartment but getting to see her is a major highlight for me.
I bought a house!!! We have been moving and unpacking. Lots of that 4 letter word called work but almost done unpacking everything I got my library done 1st!!! You can see where my priority’s are!!!
You always have some of the neatest things in your collections. I adore your crafty side. As for me, making release collages is my main Summer activity. I sort though posts, e-mails, recs from readers and authors to create them. Other than that I am trying to organize and catalogue my book shelves and doing some sewing.
Wow! I’m hanging out with my amazing 6 month old nephew! 😀 Thank you for the opportunity to enter.
Thank you!
I’m reading. How much more fun can that be?
I learned how to edit this summer!! I absolutely LOVE editing!!
Spent time with my nieces and nephews
Thanks for the chance
not much and what stuff that normally goes on around the area has been cancelled by the pandemic.
I got to take a trip to Hawaii & finish the Bossy Brothers while doing it! WIN WIN!
Thanks for having this giveaway!
Made a teapot cozy.
So far, I’ve read and read some more.
I’ve been to a couple wedding events for the same couple (Indian weddings are HUGE) and also read like twice the amount of books I normally read in a month because summer means freedom!
I am reading lots of great books while hanging out at the beach this summer!!!
My two adult aged girls from out of town will connect with me at Horseshoe Lake Park in 12 hours. I’ll also see 4 grandkids and it’s supposed to be great weather, 70’s and sunny. I haven’t seen them except on Whats App for a year.
I’ve been having a lazy summer. But reading is fun and I’ve been doing plenty of that. 😀
Had a birthday celebration with family and loved ones.
