JULY 2019 WRAP UP!
Summer is just about over. I saw some posts today celebrating kids going back to school! Funny how when we were kids the summer felt like an endless stretch of time. Enough time to have hundreds of adventures. So many things that by the time it was over you were looking forward to school and the coming fall.
Now most of my adventures come through books but that’s how it is when you get older, right? I spent most of my summer working pretty hard but tomorrow I leave for a road trip to Kansas to see my friend Nicole and then we’re on our way to Texas for Book Bonanza 2019 at the Gaylord Hotel. The trip will be short and lots of work but I think it will be fun too. I’m looking forward to a few days “off” because when I get back I will have to double down to finish Bossy Brothers: Johnny, which will release in September.
HERE’S WHAT HAPPENED IN JULY
In July I released LADY LUCK: HAREM STATION, BOOK 4 and BOSSY BROTHERS: JOEY, BOOK 2 in the BOSSY BROTHERS series.
If you’re new to me Lady Luck is part of a sexy sci-fi romance series called harem Station and features the Harem Station brother, Luck, and his wild and crazy silver-haired princess, Nyleena. Each time I write one of these books I fall for both the main characters. I loved Serpint and Lyra in Booty Hunter and Jimmy and Delphi in Big Dicker, but Nyleena and Luck quickly became my favorite couple in the series so far. Nyleena is just nuts. She and Luck are the perfect pair even though neither of them is looking for a “soulmate” especially a genetically engineered one! There’s a lot of action, a lot of secrets, a lot of sex, and answers to questions finally appear. I really enjoyed writing Lady Luck so if you’re one of my SF romance readers I hope you picked it up and enjoyed it. If you’re not a Harem Station reader yet, just FYI, these books must be read in order (listed below). And BTW – Lady Luck has been cast for audio and Jacob Morgan will narrate Luck and Emma Wilder will narrate Nyleena.
The second book I released in July is Bossy Brothers: Joey. This is a MMFM reverse harem kind of story, but of course, if you know me at all, it’s not that simple. It’s “sort of” a continuation of Bossy Brothers: Jesse, but if you decided to pick up Joey before Jesse you would not miss out on much of the continuing mystery. No real “answers” to that are revealed in this book, it’s mostly still building. There will be one more book like this for Johnny (releasing in September) and then all the major mysteries will start to unravel. I will continue this series at least through January 2020 because I’m enjoying the world and the characters and writing the Harem Station books has reminded me of how much I enjoy writing a long, connected series so I’m going to keep it going.
BOTH ARE FREE TO READ IN KINDLE UNLIMITED!
I also had two audiobook releases in July – Booty Hunter (Harem Station Book 1) with Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood narrating, and Pretty Thing – the first in a trilogy of standalone romances called NAUGHTY THINGS – with Christian Fox and Emma Wilder narrating.
I constantly get messages asking if such-and-such book will have an audio version and the answer is YES. The answer is always yes. They just don’t “typically” release at the same time as the eBook.
I only have one book and one audiobook releasing in July.
On August 19 HAREM STATION Book 5, PRISON PRINCESS, will release in eBook and paperback.
And on August 20 Sweet Thing, standalone book 2 in NAUGHTY THINGS series, will release in AUDIOBOOK.
Prison Princess is on pre-order now and Sweet Thing will be on pre-order a week or a few days before audiobook release.
Bookbub is the easiest way to keep track of what I’m doing because they send those new release alert emails out lickety-split and they almost never go to spam.
The Friday Night Freebie is still going strong. It’s been a great summer for giveaways. This year I started making these things called “junk journals” and I’ve been giving a bunch of them away. But I made a few this week that are super cool and special. I found some old, falling-apart romance novels from the 40’s and they actually still had their dust covers. Not in great condition, but that’s the best part of a junk journal. It’s all about using old things to make something new. So this past weekend I made three of them and I’ll be giving them all away in the next three Friday Night Freebies.
So make sure you follow the blog so you can be reminded when the Freebie goes live. Or you can join my newsletter. I almost always send a newsletter announcing the Freebie.
