Welcome to my annual 12 DAYS OF GIVEAWAYS!
If you’re new to this – here’s how it works:
1. Each day from December 1 through December 12 I will put up a new giveaway HERE on my website with instructions on how to enter, a detailed description of the prize, and some stuff about the book or series. Each giveaway is different and each has ONE WINNER. MY GIVEAWAYS ARE ALWAYS OPEN INTERNATIONAL
2. Each giveaway runs UNTIL DECEMBER 13.
3. Winners are CHOSEN and NOTIFIED on December 14. I will be notifying winners USING THE EMAIL USED TO COMMENT ON THIS BLOG – and all winners will BE LISTED AT THE TOP OF EACH GIVEAWAY POST HERE ON MY WEBSITE on December 14.
4. Winners have 24 hours to respond, then another winner will be chosen.
5. ALL PRIZES WILL BE MAILED ON DECEMBER 15. If I’m waiting on a winner to respond and they miss the December 15 mail date, that prize will be mailed when I get around to it. I live in the middle of nowhere so a trip to the post office is a “thing” for me. 🙂 So make sure you’re checking for winners on the 14th.
6. I will send newsletters announcing giveaways on December 1, December 6, December 12, and a Winner newsletter on December 14. I NEVER send this many newsletters in a month so sorry if that feels spammy.
7. You can also FOLLOW MY BLOG. I will also make a blog post HERE announcing ALL WINNERS on the 14th. If you want to follow this blog there will be a form at the bottom of each post to do that. Then you get an email when I POST HERE. I don’t do that often – December is the exception because of the 12 Days and my yearly “Wrap-up” post.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
THAT’S IT! I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY THIS!
The world is INSANE right now so I’m just trying to spread some cheer and give back to all of you who support me and enjoy the stories I create.

WHAT WAS YOUR BEST MOMENT IN 2022?
I bought my first horse. I actually bought two. I’ve been riding horses since I was four years old. I’ve owned donkeys for almost fifteen years. I’ve done the whole show jumping thing and I even majored in equine science in undergrad. I literally took show jumping as an elective in college. But this was the first year, of all my MANY years 🙂 , that I have owned my own horses. They are in my backyard. Actually, they’re in the front right now. But not a day goes by that I don’t walk by a window and see them outside. I love them! So that was a really cool thing that happened this year.
AND HERE is a sneak peek of tomorrow’s giveaway!
Make sure you stop by and enter!

I went with my husband, sister, nephew, and mom to Paris for a week. It was the first time any of us had been over in Europe and it was a total blast
I can’t specify a specific day, but I’ve recently come to realize that my new-ish dog is going to turn into a great little dog. Her predecessor was an absolute flake, so this is a very, very welcome feeling. Two dogs before her was what some call my “heart dog”, who was one of the all time best dogs in history.
My best moment in 2022 is when my mom came home from the hospital. We thought we were going to loose her and she was in the hospital for 6 weeks. ( not covid related) but she is home and doing well now.
I went to my first book signing event ever. It was amazing!

My husband’s lymphoma went into remission and we were able to travel.
My 82 year old dad had a heart attack in Oct. Through the testing they did for his heart they found a cancerous tumor on his left lung. We were devastated. The docs put 5 stents in his heart. Then we got the best news ever. The cancer is stage 2 and the prognosis after treatment is very good. It sounds crazy to say this is the best thing to happen to me in 2022 but without the heart attack they would not have found the cancer til it was very difficult to treat and the prognosis would not be good. We are calling it a miracle.
My best moment of 2022 isthe moment when I got the all clear on a medical test.
My favorite 2022 moment was when we adopted a new furbaby into the household. There are too many animals in the shelters and at the Humane Society who need loving families and loving homes. I wish I could have adopted them all.
Being able to see my husband and his siblings all together. It’s been years since we were all together

To have survived it. It has been a rather tough year. We gate guard for an oil field ranch. 24/7/365 from our RV. My hubby and I have been together 30 years but let me tell you the rv gets a bit small. But we are taking a week off to see our kids and grandkids open their gifts Christmas morning which will make it all worth it!

Watching my youngest son graduate high school and start college on full scholarship.
Exploring the west with my husband 🙂
My best moment of the year was my grandson being born. I wasn’t able to be in the room due to Covid but they were able to set up the phone with FaceTime. So I was able to watch him being born while sitting in the parking lot of the hospital
I have a few best moments of 2022, but my #1 moment would be watching my ypungest daughter sing with a middle school honors choir sing at Carnegie Hall…that was a wonderful experience…my son graduated from high school with honors, and my oldest daughter is making me a grandmother next June.
Homeschooling my little one is the best moment(s) of the year.
Senior night for my son and his tennis team, especially since I was in charge of it!
My best moment of the year was a career change after 28 years! I’m learning something new and will spend about 3 years becoming an expert and then will find my retirement job. Also, my two girls and granddaughter and the rest of my family are healthy and spirited. Can’t ask for much more :).
I traveled alone for the first time ever, and it included my first International flight!
Watching my granddaughter grow and change from an infant to a one year old. So much fun!!
My best moment in 2022 was getting to see “Hamilton” with my kids and husband.
I did A LOT of traveling this year, so I read a ton of books! As of today, I’ve read every JA Huss and KC Cross book! Just finished Royal Beasts yesterday. Amazing books by an amazing writer!!
Meeting some awesome women that got me thru my divorce. They will forever be in my heart.
I would have to say surviving a year of major depression and being here to see another year for my daughter’s.
I had a week with my brother for the first time in 25 years. We had zero kids and zero spouses just us. I met a man I really like without pressure just us. It was amazing and I hope to do it more.

I went to Edinburgh for RARE with my daughter and we bought the rest of the family and her boyfriend. It was so beautiful and wonderful and we had the best time!
My best moment came right after my worst. I was fired suddenly via phone call after almost 11 years on the job. BUT 2 days later I was offered a job making much more money, in a supervisor role. I brought my work bestie along(she was fired too). The best part is they are based in Colorado and are flying both of us out there for the week after Christmas. I’ve never been, and I’m from SC so excited to see a new place and some snow❄️⛄️😃
Finishing our basement edition! New floor, woodstove, windows….now my new favorite place to cuddle up next to the fire and read!!!
getting a raise.
Went to go see Harry Potter’s Forbidden Forest…gorgeous!!!
The best time this year was spending a week this summer camping near our son. He came by every day and we played games, hiked and ate.
My daughter got married!
When I brought my Guinea pig home from surgery and nursed him back to health
Learning to care for myself again… Started with going back to the gym.
Best moments in 2022! I got to see Reba in Concert in February , that’s was the tickets I got last year for Christmas. Then for my Birthday my husband got tickets to see Garth Brooks. I won two tickets from the radio station to see Garth so I got to give them as an early birthday present to my sons best friend and her mom. I got to share her first concert with her. It was a pretty good year considering I injured myself at work, had to have surgery, physical therapy, and sat at a desk (which I am not used to). Usually I am on my feet all day rooming and taking care of my patients.
My most grateful experiences were surviving all the doctors, tests, and surgery
I loom knit a huge blanket! I started it in February, knitting one row per day (1.5 – 2 hours) and finished it in November. It was hard work as I have limited use of my hands but I did it and now I’m knitting a shawl.
My best moment of 2022 was connecting with my daughter more. It’s been so amazing to have her full trust in me and knowing she can tell me anything and I won’t judge. I sit here with, patience and so much love and just listen and support her in everything she does.
2022 has been a rough year. My happiest moments this year have been watching my youngest daughter and sister in law be baptized, watching all of my daughters perform in their plays and musicals, and spending time together as a family
My son and dil live out of state. They got to come home twice within a six week period this year. It’s simple ,but the best moments, when it was with them or just my son and I sitting in the indoor patio just talking about everything and nothing.
Having hair again. I had decided on New Years Eve that I didn’t want to watch my hair fall out slowly so since I lost a fistful of hair that night and I still had two more months of treatments I decided to “one and done it” and I was rocking that bald head. Until about mid April it didn’t really start to grow back. I now have about 4 inches again, though still a long way to go until it’s down past my waist again. I am just grateful to be here today.
Best part of 2022… I became a grandma twice. My youngest and oldest boys both had babies this year. My youngest son had a girl, nicknamed Peanut and my oldest son just had a “turkey baby” because he was born on Thanksgiving.
My best moment of 2022 was when my aunt Patty came all the way from Bangor Maine to visit us, I hadn’t seen her in years.
The best thing was finding out I’m going to become a grandmother for the first time. But also traveling to Costa Rica and finally finishing our entire house remodel – which took over a year and half!
I’ve had some really great moments this year including going to a USC Gamecock game and watching my niece and nephew on the field with the marching band. My hubby and I are going to Dublin for Christmas so that may be the highlight
It wasn’t easy but I started a diet plan ordered by my doc. Sometimes feels like there is nothing on the “ok” list but I have lost over twenty pounds and rarely have to take any pain medicine. Even though this is a continuous thing, the moment was when I realized the improvement in my physical and mental health.
Mt best moment was my son graduating high school. It was very rough going through public school during the scamdemic.
My grand-daughter was born in 2022.
My best moment of 2022 was when my boyfriend took me Vermont in October for vacation! He took my on a horse drawn carriage and proposed to me! He even included my dog that passed away, because he knew how much I always wanted her a part of my wedding.
Finally was able to get my new blazer. It’s been a three year process and my ultimate vehicle goal. It finally all came together. Now I’m driving the car of my dreams
i’d have to say one of my best moments in 2022 was having my baby granddaughter and my daughter spend 3 days and nights with me at my house…wished they could live here…your horses are beautiful!
Easy to answer this one. One of my 3 cats, Skittles, knocked out the screen window and ran off back at the end of August. A full week of papering telephone poles and dropping fliers in mailboxes, spending countless hours walking a half-mile radius of the house, calling out pathetically for the silly cat to just… run up to me and jump into my outstretched arms as if that’s a thing missing cats do. But hey, heartbreak makes you do and hope for impossible things. Anyway, after a full week of this, I’m standing at my kitchen window one morning, getting breakfast ready for the sweet group of homeless neighborhood cats that I feed twice each day (and house in heated dog houses in the winter), and I look out past my deck toward my shed, and there’s little Skittles… his black and white head peeking out from under the shed, shaking and meowing pathetically (I just know he was calling “Mom, Mom, Mommy!” in his own little squeaky meows), and I ran out back with my arms outstretched and he came running up to me for that previously mocked at impossible reunion. Yep. True story. But BEST moment of 2022 without question!
I could write an essay on best moments this year, but picking only one I choose bringing our little Frenchie home. This nugget of a dog has changed our world and improved my life.
Good, bad, or indifferent, nothing happened this year that stands out as a great moment or event. My family is healthy and I am grateful for that.
Best thing of 2022….. I retired! Am a nurse and after the last couple of years dealing with covid, I was ready to hang up my scrubs!
I finished the first draft of my first romance novel.
Your horses are beautiful!!! My best moment in 2022 is when I had my son in October. We tried for 2 years with many ups and downs. We were finally blessed with our little man!
I took my family on our first cruise this year, something that I never thought I’d be able to do growing up. That just wasn’t the kind of life we lived as kids. So being able to experience this was definitely the best part of this year for me.
One was taking my hubby with me to an author convention, so he could see how I socialize and work in my spare time. Two was getting to meet Joe Arden.
Best thing of 2022 was fully enjoying my newly renovated kitchen.
I think my best moment will be when I walk into to my new house on Tuesday! We will see.
We spent two weeks in Alaska. I finally got to go to Denali National Park which has been on my bucket list forever!
My best moment was being able to take a vacation with my kids & husband- we only went to a hotel out of town but it was amazing to go somewhere finally!
Adopting our newest dog. Gumbo – 1 1/2 year old shepherd mix.
getting a new job
2022 has been pretty quiet; but I think the best thing is waking up to a healthy hubby, and 2 healthy boys. Some years we just never knew if that was going to happen
The best day of the year was on June 29 when I signed the papers to my first new home! With my new key in hand it was so exciting driving from the attorneys office and pulling into my driveway for the first time. Oh and June 29 is also my birthday. What a gift!
We’ve been jumping through so many hurtles trying to buy a house, but FINALLY there is light at the end of the tunnel! It’s a big time fixer upper and so much red tape. Ugh. But should be closed by the end of the year!
I got to go visit my daughter and her family
When my husband recovered from his eye surgery to reattach his retina.
My son turning 18 and the 3 of us going to The Harry Potter Studio Tour the same weekend as the Queens Jubilee 👸 🇬🇧
Going to Turkey to visit family and do some travelling with my sister and baby nephew.
Standing beside my oldest watching my other 3 kids skate off to play hockey. With all their health issues I never thought we’d get to the point they would get to do something like this. (Considering some of the other awesome things that happened this year, it’s pretty cool this takes the cake.)
My best moment was after 65 years getting a job I love. It’s perfect for this time in my life and everyone has been so kind.
2022: grateful for everyone in my life . Husband, parents, brothers, in-laws and extended family, including friends of course
Looking forward to 2023 !!!
Got to go on vacation with my brother and his family
I won’t lie. 2022 was a tough year for my family. But we are all still here. That’s my cool thing.
Merry Christmas!
My best day was when I finished radiation after breast dander diagnosis and three surgeries. Now I’m cancer free !!!❤️
We took a family vacation to the Sacred Valley in Peru and visited Macchu Picchu!
2022 has been pretty unremarkable…but thinking back to 2021 was going to iceland for 10 days! And next year we are heading to Switzerland!! So getting to travel at this point in my life is amazing!
Swimming with the pigs while in the Bahamas!
Beautiful animals! I love your farm pictures!
2022 was completely non-eventful for me. I think what the best thing for me was staying healthy. Everyone around me fell into that Covid black hole, including my kids.
Well as sad as it is to say my best moment was pushing through my agoraphobia to go to my mans Grandparents funerals. It was a rough year full of losses. It was not easy pushing past my agoraphobia and dealing with grief at the same time. But I did it and they wouldve been proud of me. They were like my own Grandparents hard loss
nothing out of the ordinary has happen this year but glad all is healthy and looking forward to a great Christmas morning.
Beautiful horses!
My family is dealing with some health issues, but things have been alright. Staying positive!
My best moment was when I moved back to my hometown after over 50 yrs. It was a journey back to my roots.
My family is healthy and that’s the greatest thing this year. Nothing else has stood out. I will take it.
Being able to get out and enjoy life again after the Covid shit show. Being locked down for 2 years sucked. Our family is still being careful when we go out but we are beginning to feel a little more normal.
Buying a home after years of rv living.
My best moment of the dumpster fire that has been 2022 was when my husband’s surgeon told me that they will be able to save his leg and he will be able to walk again. Since March, we have been dealing with the fact that my husband got an infection in his heel, which lead to gangrene, strep and staph infections in his heel and Achilles tendon. After one botched surgery and a very scary trip to the ER, we switched surgeons and hospitals and finally had competent professionals who were more invested in finding the best form of care for my husband so that he will have the best quality of life going forward. After seven surgeries (including the removal of his Achilles tendon) and three skin grafts, my husband is on his way to recovery- with both legs intact.
Being able to quit my job and stay at home. Also, celebrating my 50th birthday in Cozumel, Mexico with my husband and brother and his wife.
Best part of 2022 – I’m still looking for that. It’s been a struggle all year but hopefully the holiday will bring the family all together. That will be the best for me.
Honestly it’s been a pretty rough year. So my family’s support and love for each other is the best thing from 2022.
So far we have all been pretty healthy with only a couple minor issues. That in itself is very good.
2022’s best moment was getting my promotion!
My best moment in 2022 was getting my kitten and my cancer surgically removed.
That my dad is still here even though he’s had several medical hiccups.
My best moment of 2022 was definitely when I was hired to go to Montana and work on 1923. We just wrapped yesterday, but what a great cast and crew I got to work with.
Spending time with my grandchildren!!
Nothing great has happened this year hopefully next year will be better
I got to see my grandsons when they visited in the summer.
It’s been a quiet year for me but I would say all the time that I get to spend with my grandson. When he wakes up I can hear him telling my daughter “I go play with NaNa”. Then we spend the rest of the day playing and watching Disney.
It’s been a fairly quiet year here but we have all stayed healthy so that has to be a good thing.
My best moment was getting my puppy Cami! She brought new life and energy with her.
I’ve been in constant pain for years and tried everything. This is going to sound stupid but I saw an ad on fb for tourmaline socks. Apparently they help with edema, neuropathy weight loss and pain, Well I bought a few pairs, mainly because I wanted to see if it would help the swelling in my feet, and yes I know I was living in hope.
Anyway they arrived and after a few days I thought yep I was stupid. Decided to wear them a little bit longer and after using them for a week I realised I was getting out of bed with no aches and pains. I wasn’t in constant agony anymore. Sure there was still pain but probably more like a 3 than a 10. So I now call them my magic socks.
When I helped move my daughter
My best moment has been reconnecting with an old friend that I had not been in touch with for a few years. It has been great!
Watching my husband hold our first grandson So precious!
I got married to the absolutely most amazing man! I am finally healing and in a healthy relationship! it has been an amazing year!
A great highlight of this year was when my brother came up to visit us in New York. He lives in Tennessee and hadn’t seen him in couple years. We had a great time bbq big and beers and lots of laughs..
Thank you
My most precious moment this year was when my autistic daughter learnt to ride horses and went hacking just this week. It has helped massively with her anxiety and made my heart a little lighter.
My best moment was watching my middle kiddo graduate high school and her finally deciding on a major in college, veterinary medicine. Proud mom moment!!
Was able to get my kids a pool… Merry Christmas!!
My best moment was standing on the scale at my doctors office last month and seeing a weight drop of 60lbs from the beginning of this year!!!! And the cherry on top was the nurse who helped encourage me and was my biggest supporter gave me a big hug and said I knew you could do this!!!!
Ty! For the chance at this great prize!!💕💋
My best moment was going back to NY to see my family in May I moved to the Orlando FL area in December of 2020. It was great to see everyone in person Zoom and FaceTime are great but nothing beats physically being there
It’s been a busy and stressful year, so I surprised my husband with an overnight trip to see The Big House Allman Brothers museum in Macon and dinner at the Rookery. Super chill and the first time for both of us, and not packed with too many activities. Just a quick trip to get out of town, take it slow and relax for 24 hours. After dinner, we sat in the parking lot of the hotel and had a few drinks and listened to music, talked, and laughed like teenagers. My favorite moment of 2022! 🥰
I love your horses and Blue. 😂 My best moment of 2022 was the realization that we’re the creator of our reality. Our outer world is a reflection of our inner world. It’s a mirrored reality. If I don’t like seeing what’s in the mirror, change my inner world (my thoughts, beliefs, assumptions, etc). Quantum physics is proving that the law of assumption is true. We live in the Matrix. I can go on and on about this shit, but it’s pretty deep-ass shit and most people don’t want to hear about it. Anyway, I’m still working on my self-concept, getting rid of the habitual self, etc., but I’ve proved to myself this shit that Neville Goddard and other people from the past has said and taught are fucking right. So yeah, that’s been the coolest thing that happened to me this year (so far). 😊
My favorite day off 2022 was June 26th. The day my first grandchild was born. We have a lovely little granddaughter by the name Serenity Ann Rose. She is the best thing that has happened in the last couple of days.
I got to visit the mountains of Colorado for the first time and fell in love with them. I can’t wait to go back.
💜💜💜🙂
Starting up my dog rescue
Thanksgiving. It was just us this year. Kids helped make everything. We had a blast.
Actually I have two best moments of 2022!! First one is grandson #5 Raiden was born in February and grandson #6 Bentley was born in August!! 💙
💜
My only niece, from my only sister finally got married Nov weaver 26. I’d love to introduce her to these books but, I’m just a little shy about it 🫣. Her mother and I use to read the same books. SHE DOESN’T EVEN READ ANYMORE!!!😞
I got a Golden doodle puppy we named Roxy. We love her so much! she is so much fun even when she is being a brat.😃
Went on a trip -first one since Covid shut down- to Hawaii. We got to see the volcano, and left four days before it erupted! So that was the start of my best moment in 2022. I got to have a lovely 2 week vacation and come home to a brand new company pick up. I’ve put in my time with this company for years, and I have to say it feels good to be appreciated. I finally feel like I’m a part of the team.
The birth of our new grandson.
We finally caved and bought a Harley Davidson Heritage Softail. I had to really think about the year and there are many things that happened, spent a week in Arkansas kayaking, hiking and exploring as well as so many things outside appreciating the world, but buying the bike has to be the highlight and the smile it put in my husbands face was worth everything.
My best moment of 2022 was adopting our rescue dog.
My greatest moment was more of a revelation that came from my worst moment. I had an accident while vacationing out of the country that resulted in 3 fractured bones in my ankle. 5 days abroad in a wheelchair, the long trip home, surgery being delayed 2 weeks for the swelling to go down, and 8 weeks of being non-weight bearing before I could even start PT was rough. But through that all my husband of almost 30 years was an absolute rockstar. He just took care of everything that needed done without a single complaint or even grumble of frustration. Seeing firsthand how loved I am, when definitely at my worst, made me really appreciate the blessings in my life.
Probably when it came time for raises at work. Last year was hard for our company…it’s nice that management recognized that when considering reviews. We did a lot of extra work because, like every other company, we struggled to fully staff three shifts. It was nice to hear that my boss was truly grateful for the job I was doing and that he truly liked working with me. I’ve been with the same company for 18 years and have never had that great of a review. Companies sometimes forget that employees need to hear when they’re doing well and not just when they’ve done wrong. It felt amazing to be appreciated.
Thanks for the chance ( I love the Creeping Beautiful books!) and, happy holidays Lovely!
The best thing for me in 2022 is that my husband and I have remained healthy thru all of the crud going around in the world. Happy holidays! Thanks for doing these wonderful giveaways!
This year I was able to make my son’s dream come true to see Paris.. we were originally going to go somewhere more local but because of covid prices made it cheaper to travel to France then to travel within the US. It was incredible to be there and speak French with him it was such a joy to see it all through his eyes! 😍
We were approved for a mortgage and now are moving to a newly constructed house. This is our first time owning a house. We are planning to move around Christmas time maybe early next year. It’s been such an emotionally, mentally, and physically draining year. I think we deserved this great news.
Thankfully I had a lot of great moments in 2022. One of my best involves a foster dog that we took in. We have fostered many dogs, she was the 10th we had fostered. She was only 3 weeks old and was extremely sick. She had severe pneumonia as well as being unable to nurse. She was relinquished by the breeder to the rescue. They handed her to me with an ominous warning….3 different vets has said to our her down but we want to give her a chance. They assumed she had many underlying unknown health issues and figured she wasn’t going to survive. Well…after 5 weeks living in a homemade oxygen chamber, round the clock syringe feedings, and lots and lots of love…she made it! And then she was adopted BY US! She was our first “foster fail”. She is going to have her first birthday soon. We are blessed.
2022 has been a really difficult year full of a lot of grief, but the best moment was probably a family vacation we took, our last one, with our foster kiddo.
My best moment of 2022 was having My 4 Grandchildren come visit me for no reason at all. But when they were here we set up Christmas decorations just like the old times when they were young kids. Now all young Adults.
Love to watch your videos of your animals ❤️
My best moment was when I spent February house-sitting for my sister-in-law in the tropics (Suriname).
My great nephew was born my niece came to stay with me for a while and i got all the baby snuggles i still do makes life brighter then it has in a long time
My best moment of 2022 was having my daughter finish her freshman year of in person hs with a a 4.0 after being at online school. Remind me how resilient kid are.
When I got a promotion to boss at Mu Bath And Body Works store.
I think the best moment of this year was watching my 7 year old get an award for truthfulness and being in the top ten for higher reading level out of all the 1st grade year.
My best moment for this year was when my friends and family came together to support me in the annual MS-Walk to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis research. Some friends walked for me, donated money or did both. Ultimately we raised more money than we had in previous years. My personal goal for the event is to bring awareness to the public what a life changing disease this is that has no cure and the activity did that.
Moved in my first new apartament bought at the end of 2021…
Love you. 🙂💜
I got to semi-retire this year. Lots more time to read!
My best moment of 2022 was on a trip with the hubs when we had a great reconnecting moment. We’ve been together over 20 years and after that long, those moments just strengthen what we have.
2022 has been a rough year with the loss of a close friend who was my teammate at work. My role has had to evolve & I am proud of myself for facing all these new challenges & caring for our clients despite my fear & doubt. My hubby & kids have been a great support! Then in October we rescued a 4 mo old Golden so that’s the best family moment of the year. His name is Goose & he is just the sweetest pup 🐶 😍
whenever my family came together to visit me ☺️ (which isnt often)
I had two, actually, my daughter’s wedding and the birth of my grandson.
The birth of my first grandchild!
My best moment in 2022 was on my birthday when my son sent me a long note with a saying. The message was that regardless of the stage in his life, where he was, or who else he loved, I would always be his “home.” He later told me he had searched for the right message, and it brought tears to his eyes to find the right one! ❤️
Trip from Wisconsin to Tennessee to visit my grandpa.
Finding out we was expecting our 9th baby!!!
2022 has been a difficult year for me. Some hard losses. But yesterday my long-adddicted, 6-years recovered daughter graduated from college. She’s now active and working in women’s recovery from drugs and alcohol. She’s the most amazing person you could ever meet.
That’s easy! I had to go away for 6 weeks for a new job leaving my husband and 9 year old son behind. It was the longest 6 weeks of my life. Getting off that plane and coming out to see them waiting was the best thing ever. I instantly starting crying as my sons face crumpled and filled with tears as he starting running to me. I wrapped him in my arms and we both cried. Then my husband wrapped us both up and squeezed. We stayed like that for a long time. Full of love ❤️
Seeing relatives I hadn’t seen in a long time.
My best moment in 2022 is when my adult (and only) son surprised me by giving me a gift I never expected (but really needed) for no reason other than because he knew I needed it and wouldn’t get it for myself. He’s grown into such an incredibly kind and generous man, and I could not be prouder.
Meeting up with a bunch of old friends I have not seen in ages. Perfect!
My brother came home for the first time in 3 years!
Moving into our forever home. It has been a long time coming.
Finding the tree I spent all year looking for, and buying it to put in my garden.
My best 2022 moment had to be meeting Ian Somerhalder, Charlie Hunnan, Kellan Lutz and Luke Evens. Comic Con!
This year I was accepted into a Master’s program to go back to school. I started my degree 15 years ago, but left the program for a job before I finished my thesis work (did all the classes). I’m finally going to get my M.S.! I re-start college Jan 2nd.
My best moment this year was going to Virginia Beach with 4 forever friends. We usually travel to Caribbean islands. We’re all in our 60’s with compromised people in our households. So getting to any beach was incredible. Being in the ocean bobbing around made us all have smiles so wide.
My best moment of 2022 was when a friend came to spend the weekend with me. We went to the museum and ate seafood.
We went on our first cruise since the pandemic and we had so much fun.
Probably our family vacations. I had such a great time.
family Thanksgiving
I got a full time position at my job
Spending many days at the beach!
Attending a Coldplay concert with a Dutch friend of mine in Berlin together with 70 000 other fans. We stomped and dance so hard that there was a headline in the newspaper the next day that an earthquake of 1.48 Richers had been measured in Berlin during the song a Sky full of stars!
Congrats on the houses and horses!. Best moment of 2022 was an anniversary party that was well attended. Got to see some folks that I hadn’t seen in years. Also connected with some younger family members. Great day!
Thanksgiving with my daughter was the culmination of a good year. We all stayed healthy and busy.
Easy, my niece finished chemo and is back on her feet again!
I was able to go on a once in a lifetime trip with my 15 year old son as a school sanctioned trip to Greece and Italy. It was amazing and exhausting. One of the days we were on the island of Capri and my son doesn’t like smaller boats so we were on the island by ourselves while the rest of the group took a boat tour. We got to spend the day together just the two of us, taking pictures and making memories in a beautiful place while in the middle of a fabulous trip. I will cherish that time always.
Seeing my dad even though it was on a sad occasion of the death of my grandmother his mother earlier this year. Other than that the year sucked for me
My best moment in 2022: being at my youngest granddson’s 5th birthday party. He finally lost his fear of water, and went in the swimming pool, and even had the bravery to go down the big slide. All my other grandchildren were there, and it was fun!
After 7 long years, i finally got the stamp that i’m not being able to work in april this year. I have rheumatic arthritis and fibromyalgie. (Im 29) years and years of fighting against the system, and at last someone heard me.
Congratulations! My Best moment was my son’s first birthday. I made his cake, it was ugly but yummy. 😅 Can’t wait the next birthday, I’m trying my best to make his cake better.😊 Thanks for the chance!❤️
First big vacation since the pandemic started. Nice to get away and enjoy some quality family time.
My best moment was June 8th, when my son’s first Diaversary hit. We have made it one year with a new lifelong diagnosis and muddled through the muck of an ongoing custody battle, learning how to eat properly and learning a new way of living. 💙
Best moment of 2022 was the birth of our miniature Mediterranean donkey, Dolly! She was so cute!!
Finally having answers for my sons. Youngest and eldest both diagnosed as ASD. That means I have four amazing sons with autism or awesometism as one of them calls it.
It was a long time coming, but my best moment was early in the year when I finally stood up for myself at my workplace. I’ve been at this workplace many years and have never had to fight for myself like I have the last couple of years. It’s better now, but so much has changed!
Reunion with my sister cousin after 30+ years , we had an amazing time together
My daughter won 1st place in the state gymnastics meet in March!! So happy and proud of her 🙂
My best moment in 2022 was being able to spend two weeks with my mother. After a two year battle with stage 4 cancer, she passed away in April. Now that she is gone, I am so thankful that I was able to travel across the country and spend time with her.
My best moment of 2022 will be in a couple weeks when my youngest graduates from homeschool! I will finally get to move on to my desired career, something I’ve been wanting to do for over a decade! I cannot wait.
My best moment in 2022 is getting my basement back to fix up and make it a game room
My best moment in 2022 was changing jobs. I didn’t even realize how conditioned I had become to being micromanaged and controlled until I woke up one day and realized that my life wasn’t my own anymore. This new transition has me relearning and allowing my muscle memory reflexes to kick back in.
Best thing by far this year is when the grandson really started talking in sentences, running up and saying I love you.
My best moment in 2022 was when I got separated from my job. It landed me at a better place that sees me for who I am.
This year has been a pretty crappy year for me but I lived to see another year!
My best moment of 2022 was going on vacation with the family and just totally being relaxed. It was a novelty because most times I don’t get to fully relax because it’s our vacation home so sometimes to cut back on the expenses I’ll cook a few meals and find something to do. This time around I did absolutely nothing. I ignored everything until when we ready to leave. It was truly refreshing and having both kids home from college for the summer was also a blessing
Meeting my best friend Mike. Even though we’re 8 years apart in age he’s my brother from another mother and I’m his sister from another mister 😂
Making the tough choice to pull my Autistic son out of public school and start homeschooling him instead. It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make…but I am so glad I did!
2022 has been an amazing year! I became a grandma! My youngest daughter graduated high school and had a baby. She knew it would be hard, but she is doing it and making it look easy. I started a new job in a career I chose versus one that I accepted due to qualifications and availability. I now work from home! I am having a great year and I hope you are too! Thank you for this chance to win your books! <3
Getting to visit my son in Georgia.
Selling our former home in Pennsylvania after our kids moved into their own homes. We moved to Louisiana 3 yrs ago and the kids stayed in the old house until they could save money for their own homes. We were in that house for over 20 yrs. Such a relief to know we are done with that and our kids are happy with their new homes.
The best part of 2022 was learning my daughter’s IVF journey was going to be a success. She’ll have a healthy embryo implanted 12/21/22 , the day after her 29th birthday. We also know it’ll be a precious little boy. And, I read more books in 2022 than I have my entire life, which brings me so much joy. Thank you for all that you do!!💜
Starting a new job and leaving behind a toxic and stressful environment. I didn’t know how stressful until I left.
My best moment was my nephew’s wedding.
I don’t have a best moment this year. Next year may be even harder. Your horses, and the rest of your animals, are beautiful. I love how you have taken the bull by the proverbial horns and gone out to do what you want to do for yourself. Hats off to you!
Someone dropped a 10 week old puppy into my dads backyard this year, while that was a horrible thing to do, the best moment was when my dad realized he could keep her. I tried to find the owner by posting about her on all the lost dogs sites and facebook. We took her to the vet and she didn’t have a microchip. I started calling her by her now name and my dad was like “Well you named her, I can keep her now.” She is his best friend.
Getting closer with my cousin. It wasn’t through a good situation, but we have grown very close and I’m happy about that.
The best part of 2022 was celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary. Runner up, a fabulous girls trip to Steamboat Springs, CO with my besties.
My favorite moment in 2022 was celebrating my Grandson’s 3rd Birthday with our whole family❣️❣️. He and my daughter’s family live 14 hours away from us, so anytime they can come visit is Special❤️. We all went to the Great Wolf Lodge water park and He and I everyone had so much Fun. Family time is Precious🥰. Thanks again!
My best moment of 2022 wasn’t about me, it was about my friend, her husband, and the baby that God blessed them with. My gf and her hubby lost a baby at 5mnths gestation several years ago. It destroyed them. Years later they decide to try again, but mother nature wasn’t accommodating. For years she cried on my shoulder about her “failures” and wanted to give up. We talked and talked, and talked some more. I told her to give up, to let nature do its thing. Well hell, 6 months later she was pregnant again! Although because of health reasons, the baby was born 5wks early, but healthy! Mom and baby boy made it through everything and they are both alive! Eli, the BLESSING that he is, is now 8mnths old and a happy chubby baby. I am in love with him! I declared myself his Aunty and I treat him like he’s my family. I love all 3 of them so much!
So you see, it wasn’t exactly MY moment, but yet, it was. Knowing that they both lived and knowing that they finally have the baby that they always wanted, made my year one of the best years ever.
Merry Christmas xoxo
Best part was being able to travel again internationally. We visited my husbands family in central america.
My best moment was watching my first great-grandson graduate from high school. So proud of this young man who has never been in trouble and is a true joy.
This is my favorite series! Love it so much! Ummm… I didn’t have anything amazing happen this year. I’ve been working a lot, which has been nice (and not lol). I guess the best thing is that when our parents finally caught COVID they were super sick but are okay now, though it was scary at the time. So far, we have stilled avoided it by isolating still (immunocompromised) and I am grateful for that.
My best moment was being with family and friends celebrating life’s small victories. One Granddaughter turned 5 one turned 3 and a new grandson.
Thanks for the chance.
My best moment was my first grand baby was born, she is 6 months old and such a cutie. Too bad she lives 4 hours away though cause I don’t get to see her very often.
2022 has not been a good year for me. I guess my best moment of 2022 was the trips my mom and I took together even though they were to take her for cancer check ups we got to spend some nice time together just the 2 of us before she passed away in June. I will never forget 2022 since it was the year I lost my best friend but I will treasure the extra time we were given together and that I was able to care for her and be by her side when she passed away.
My best friend found out she was pregnant!
2022 has been quite a ride, but my favourite moment was watching my oldest graduate high school
Spending time with my Dad before he died.
2022 has been a long hard year but I think I’d have to say actually getting into therapy and on medication was one of the best things that happened to me this year.
2022 has been a rough year for our family…hoping that 2023 is a better year.
Finally getting to see one of my favorite bands in concert!
After almost 2 months of being in the hospital and nearly dying, I came home in June. I have had Homehealth and physical therapy at home since then and I have to stay at home unless it’s medically related because I’m having a hard time bouncing back but I’m just thankful to be alive and with my family!🥰Thanks for the chance!
Nothing really happened this year. My sister is getting engaged though so that will be fun to see
2022 has not been too kind to me this year. I will say that I am thankful that I can get up on my own, I have a home, a family, and I do not go hungry.
I learned how to strip wallpaper and prep a wall for fresh paint. It’s the small things LOL! (PS – the secret to getting the wallpaper glue off the wall is fabric softener. Who knew? And the room smells great.)
Just last week I got a job on a cruise ship for 5 days doing what I love. Sewing. In 30 years in the industry this was my favorite and best job I’ve ever had and I’ve had some pretty great ones. I’m so appreciative. Thank you for your fun giveaways!
Kind of a strange thing to happen, but a mama duck laid 10 eggs behind my pool this summer and after 26 days, they all hatched and swam in my pool for the weekend and ran around my yard. Since my pool had no vegetation for them to eat, and the yard wasn’t that big, they walked away. Very cool experience!
This year has been focused on my health – and I have lost 60 ponds since Memorial Day.
Hands down winner, not losing my husband of 51 years to a failed stent and new 80%+ blockage in an artery in his heart. The one time I’m not sorry for nagging relentlessly that he go for a check up.
My best moment this year was definitely meeting my daughter in law, she is absolutely amazing and she and my son are so beautiful together and I thank God for bringing her into our lives. Thanks so much 💜 happy holida holidays 💚
Actually the year was fairly uneventful. Nothing in particular really stands out. Just taking the time for myself to read + craft.
The day the doctor said my husband was cancer free
Honestly, this was a fucking fantastic year for me, the biggest change was quitting my toxic job, getting a new one and starting my business, and after dealing with a job that had 2 terrible bosses, who were sisters, that constantly told me I wasn’t doing enough or I wasn’t being a team player, the list goes on, I started my new job and in less then 4 months, I was awarded employee of the month for my department and my manager stated it was my work ethic and always being a team player that made her pick me so quickly after being hired. I legit started crying, and then I post that shit on all over social media where I knew my old employer would see. I’ve always been a person who keeps their mouth shut and moves on, so when I could post that and the reasons why, it felt fucking good.
I got to attend 3 book signings and lived every moment.
Retiring from the VA. The veterans were a wonderful group to put your caring into.
Saying yes to working full time for one family. In the past I’ve nannied multiple families on different days. It was only going to be for a year but the family are staying for another year which is great for me and the little (now 2) boy, he’s such a delight 😁
Best part of 2022 was my son’s graduation and seeing all 4 of my kids at once after 11 months!
The best part of 2022 was having a close friend move back to our city after moving to take care of her parents for a few years.
Best moment was my husband taking me to the mountains in Tennessee fot our 26th anniversary. It was unforgettable.
My best friend and I were set to go in a cruise but she had to cancel last minute and I went BY MYSELF!!! I’m an introvert/ hermit and hardly ever leave the house in my own!! I stepped out of my comfort zone and went on the cruise solo!! Had a blast!
Nothing especially stands out, but that isn’t necessarily bad; sometimes the status quo is a good thing <3
When I started babysitting my friends little one. He has brought so much happiness to me and my kids.
This may surprise you to hear, but the best thing that happened to me on 2022, was being laid off from my job in the hospital. I had been there for over 7 years, and it was torture. I was doing the job of 4 people, they kept laying people and expecting people to work 12-14 hour days. God intervened, and I am doing so much better. Now I’ve been given more time for my health, my family, my sanity, and to take a class I have wanted to take for 15 years. I am super excited for the next steps on the path that God has for me. 😊🙏🏻❤️🎉
We’ll it’s not me specifically but my mom & dad bought a forever house here in Texas nearby. She went through a really low point with her health and lost like 40+ lbs in a matter of a couple of months. But now she’s doing better and gaining back weight and settling into their house with all their things that have been in storage for 10 yrs. I’m so happy for them. And a little thing for me I had shoulder surgery in October and recovering on tract. Hoping to have full range back soon.
Best moment of 2022: Finding out after 9 failed rounds of IVF that we actually have 3 embryos! I’ve just had one transferred so I’m praying for a baby for Christmas. That would make our life complete and be the biggest blessing 🙌 🙏 ✨️ 💕
I have stage 4 low grade serous ovarian cancer and 2022 is five years with no disease progression tumor is in stasis
Finally getting to take a vacation
We took a family vacation with my kids, nieces and Aunt and Uncle to Michigan . We stayed in a gorgeous house, played games, ate fabulous meals and just relaxes and laughed. It was amazing!
After the last two years it felt good to just have an uneventful year.
I bought my first house!
On a personal front; the 3 grandkids (#4 arriving in 2023) on a career note getting an amazing contract for work in a hybrid situation. It was recently extended.
I love that your best thing is about your horses. They will be with you for a long time to bring you joy. I have two best things (sorry). First was watching my oldest granddaughter graduate from HS with honors and then start college at her favored school. The second thing was going with my husband to a book signing in Vegas right before my breast cancer surgery. My Dr. had to make sure through scans that I was OK to go. We had the best time!!
The best moment came from all the kind people who helped us when we lost our home. Due to the new rent ordinance, our landlady couldn’t afford the upgrades that would allow us to stay at our old place and she gave us six weeks to move out. For six months we were homeless and would’ve been living in a tent at a campsite that we had found if not for the kindness of my daughter’s school. My husband is a three time cancer survivor but he continues to have complications so my daughter’s teacher started a fundraiser as she knew practically all of our money went to medical bills. Staff at her school were keeping an ear out as well as our friends and even our employers. And the kindest act ever was when two of the teachers took us in as they had two empty rooms. Eventually, a friend of a friend let us know about an apartment for rent and after getting everything settled, we finally had a home again! It was a very difficult time, my daughter lost the only home that she had ever known, but we made it through and it only brought us closer together. The acts of those people redeemed my faith when everything felt lost. I will never forget this year or the moment we realized that we had a new home.
Best moment was the birth of my 2 nieces.
Best moment was moving in to our very first home!!
2022 was a quiet year for my family, but I think the best thing that happened was that God blessed us by helping each of us recover a few weeks ago when we all came down sick. My father actually got Covid while the rest of us just had the nastiest case of cough/ sore throat that we’d ever had. Thankfully, my mom kicked it very quickly. Then we found out my father had Covid so we isolated him in his own area of the house. My grandfather was extremely bad, but once we got him Theraflu he recovered within days! I had a horrible cough for about four weeks that I could not shake but finally did. We were extremely lucky/ blessed that my father was the only one who got Covid and even more blessed that he’s feeling much better! God willing that’s all over.
Thank you for the 12 Days of Christmas giveaways, your generosity, and the fun they bring!
Best moment of 2022 was helping out my daughter
Getting awesome and positive feedback from my sons school. At his parent teacher conference. He is reaching almost all of his goals on his iep.
The best part of my year is spending time with my mom, just her and I. Due to family issues, we don’t get to do it much, but I treasure every moment with her. She’s my best friend.
I best moment in 2022 was getting something repaired for the house that needed to be done for a long time. It’s one less thing to worry about. It’s nice to not have to worry about it in the upcoming year.
Finishing my kitchen remodel. The house was a mess for weeks, but so worth it when me and my dad finished that step!
Seeing my dad after so long. We live in different states and with the pandemic it’s been hard seeing him.
My son, his best friend, and band Ashes Reign finished their first EP Album and have started performing again. Covid19 put them behind schedule almost three years. They’re wonderful, and dedicated young men, working full-time at other jobs while trying to have a music career. They are working on their next album that will come out next year. I’m so very proud of them following their dreams. ❤🎄☃️🎄☃️🎄☃️🎄☃️
My best moment in 2022 was getting my new house. It’s nothing better than having your own space and peace of mind. Happy Holidays!
Celebrating 9 years with my boyfriend John.
The day my great grandson was born
This will probably sound very odd. The best moment of 2022 was when my husband took a slipping leap out of the tub in July and broke his neck BUT he lived. It could have turned out so much worse.
Ironically he was showering then we were heading to Rome Baths to talk with them about renovating our bathroom to have the tub removed and a walk-in shower installed. We got our bathroom renovated in september.
My most memorable moment of 2022 was February 14 at 1:45PM, when my power was restored after a 12 day power outage caused by an ice storm. 🥶
My best thing to happen this year was to complete a raised bed garden area with a table and chairs beside the wall of giant sunflowers. What a wonderful place to have morning coffee and breakfast. We also replaced the fence! My husband taught this old gal how to build fence😊
I found my sweet spot careerwise after all these years.
I would say it would be receiving an official job offer from the company I have been co-oping at for almost 2 years now after finishing up my MS degree.
This year has been so hard I lost my grandpa 6 days before is 96 birthday but I held him as he took his last breath, our dog died a month later. The one good thing was meeting my boyfriend he has been so amazing and supportive an excellent figure for my teenage son who hasn’t had a man in his life!
Finally getting to have dinner with friends again.
Your horses are beautiful.
Best moment/s – all of my COVID testing came back negative. Life goes on.
I finally got out west and was able to hike the rim of the Grand Canyon with my family. It took a lot of planning, coordinating, and some serious saving for our budget road trip but it was so worth it (okay, maybe not the car camping we had to do on two nights, we discovered that you DO use up the air in the car if you don’t crack the windows…). Seeing the sun rise over the canyon with my husband and our kids was pretty awesome.
I always have trouble with these types of questions because I really can’t pinpoint specific moments in 2022 or previous year’s with the exception of 2002 & 2010.
The best of 2022 is when my son came to visit for a month. We reconnected and spent a lot of time together.
2022-well I didn’t get Co-vid!
I did get to go travelling with my friend (our husbands hate to travel) we went to Brussels &. Brugge Belgium and all around Ireland
So fun………..
Since our nephew was in a fatal car accident in January 2022 it has just been a rough year. As a family we have found love and comfort in small moments. I have made mental note of the times where our 14-year old twins boys are getting along and laughing together. Hug those you love.
After a hard year. Good health and my family being together again
My nephew’s wedding in Mexico!!!
Trip with my husband to California. Last time we were there was 2001, we live in Nebraska. One week trip that included family that we have not seen in person since 2001, the ocean, first time to Sanora Pass, General Sherman at Sequoia National Park, Jimmy Kimmel live, Hollywood, it was such a great time, so thankful for the opportunity to travel and see new exciting things!
My grandson was born!!!!
The birth of my grandson.
My hubby has health problem. His family came to visit him. They sing songs and we had a nice visit.
First, I really liked seeing the pictures of your horses, they are gorgeous. My cousin’s family lives on a ranch, and they raise horses, I love to go out to the arena to watch them ride. I’m not inclined to get on one though.
I spent some time thinking about my best moment of 2022, luckily, I had lots to choose from. We went to a family wedding this summer in our hometown. It was so much fun to catch up with generations of my family that I haven’t seen in a really long time. We planned the trip to spend a week seeing friends and family that we haven’t seen in person since 2018. Lots of catching up over good food and great company. We hit all of our old haunts and ate all of our favorite regional foods. It was a great week.
My best moment on the year was getting a job offer for a position that felt like a step in the right direction after being let go from my dream job (due to downsizing) and being jobless for several months. The relief and excitement was overwhelming. And it’s been working out great so far!
Best moment was when I got to meet my nephew for the first time. He is the best baby ever! I love him, and I am in love with him <3 (he was born 6 weeks early, which was a worry but he's doing really well!)
My best moment of 2022 was when my son’s best friend said this is home and I am his mom. Long story but it made me feel great.
Me, my momma, and my youngest (he’s 15 😳) traveled from North Georgia to Atlantic City and then drove the New England coast all the way to my sisters (not by blood) house in Maine! We lived like islanders for 4 glorious days before taking a different route home!
We saw and did so many wonderful things!
My parents both recovered from their serious medical issues
Seeing the look on my 88 year old Dad’s face when I gifted him with a gift basket full of goodies with his very first bouquet of balloons attached. He was like a kid 🙂
MY daughter getting into her first choice college with a scholarship
My best moment was when our 3 1/2 yr old grandson with autism kissed and hugged us for the very first time! Big obstacle he conquered.
Difficult year, probably ranks up there in the top 5…might even battle for 1st or 2nd place. I think taking pleasure in simple and small things this year a hug from my kids, cuddling with my husband, realizing when a happy moment is there and not taking it for granted and hoping and wishing for a wonderful 2023!!
My best moment in 2022 is when my sister-in-law got her house fix by some local donations through a great sponsor who gives up their time to help others. So glad they were able to help her !
My best moment of this year was finding out I was going to be a Grandma again.
I was able to break through emotionally from a dark hopeless place to where I am now. I feel so excited to enter the new year and expecting great things for us.
I didn’t have a good moment at all this year.
I think for me it would be meeting Luke Evans, Charlie Hunnam, Chad Michael Murray, Ian Somerhalder, Kellen Lutz and Jackson Rathbone all on the same day.
My best moment of this year was seeing my son healthy again after a long, hard fight against cancer.
On April 23rd I got to marry my husband. Best day of 2022 by far.
My best moment in 2022 has to be accomplishing the feat of writing 3 books for fun.
My best moment was coming out the other side of surgery cancer free.
The best moment of this year was going on my first cruise with my son, sister in law, and nephew. It was so amazing. We went to so many amazing new places. It was my first ever real vacation where I could relax and destress and not worry about my husband’s medical issues or my students. I even got to do my #1 bucket list item. I got to go on an interactive dolphin learning in the beautiful waters of Honduras. It was awesome to learn about my favorite animal and interact with them in an educational environment.
Spending time with my sister this summer for the first time in a while.
Finally getting to use my vacation time, sitting around doing nothing.
My best moment is any day I get to spend with my grandkids. They are my light.
2022 had quite a few good moments. Seeing “Hamilton” live on stage was absolutely amazing. 🙂
We took two long trips out west for weddings. One was family and the other a close friend’s daughter. Six weeks of driving through several national parks, taking roads less traveled just because and spending time with my husband.
When our daughter moved back home with us from Oklahoma.
My husband & 2 teenage sons went on a family vacation to Myrtle Beach, the first vacation since Covid! We had the best time and enjoyed the trip doing so many things together. It was such an amazing vacation and a much deserved getaway.
My sister lost her husband of 39 years in January to cancer. Well by September she was finally feeling up to doing something. So I bought us some tickets and we flew to Florida to visit family. She had a great time and I was happy to just see a smile on her face again.
Finally letting old grievances go with my brother and having our families spend time together. We went to Brookfield Zoo in June and Medieval Times in September. Good times were had by all.
My son found love and became engaged! Happiness to them both!
We bought a camper trailer and have started holidaying again in our fabulous country. We travel with great friends and have an exciting big trip booked for next year. So many great memories to be made and amazing places to experience.
Helping my father’s youngest sister family get through her sudden death this summer. Aunt Kathy was my rock when Daddy and mom died and I recognized the signs when it was her time. So I came and stayed with her and her family and got them through the transition and loved on all of them.
My best moment was becoming a great aunt to a beautiful baby girl! She is perfect in every way and so very loved💕
I wouldn’t say this was a moment but this year I have done a lot of soul searching and getting to really become myself again after ending a very toxic relationship. I got to be a stay at home mom with my 23 month old so everyday has been a new adventure. I hope to continue growing throughout 2023!
The day Dixie the Dog came into my life, 10/10/2022. I never know I needed her as much as I do. 🐾
First family trip with the new grand baby!! Had a blast
My niece decided she wanted to be a part of my of my life again which makes me so happy. I have meet her son and love him to death.
Spending the summer with my nieces and nephews.
Thanks for the chance!
Wow, best moment of 2022……thats a hard one. There were so many. I think I would have to say when my son went back to school and said it was the best year ever. He is autistic and doesnt really want to be at school. but this year his cousin is also at this school and he is making a ton of friends. I am so happy to see him put himself out there to meet new people. Just having his cousin there has been a blessing. But he is playing with a ton of other kids even when his cousin is out sick.
Unforunately its been a bit of a bad year for me so there are more unhappy moments than happy ones..
So alls I can think of is that I suppose the best part must be that I survived 2022 so far,I made it..!!!…Fingers crossed 2023 is more hopeful.
Thankyou so much for the chance.
Merry Christmas.
My best moment was finally getting into the weightloss surgery program…Now on the list for bariatric surgery coming up early 2023.
My Best Moment in 2022 when I was able to attend Book Conventions again and get back to travel to see my friends and Family. Congrats to you on your purchase of your 2 beautiful horses
This has been a rough year because my Mom died, but one of my nieces had a beautiful baby boy and another niece is due in December(she’s having a girl),so they are giving the family something to celebrate!
Having one of my clients play a live show together for the first time in 21 years. Thanks for the chance 💖
The best moment of 2022 has got to be right now. I live in Florida, but my friends and family live in NJ. My baby cousin got married on Thursday and it was great to be there to witness the event. Also due to my and my husband’s ability to work from home, we were able to extend our trip from December 2nd through the 28th. I got to see my cousin get married, i get to spend time with my 90 year old grandmother, my mom, sister and get to see the rest of my family and a bunch of friends. My husband is a trooper spending almost a month living with his in laws, but i love him all the more for suggesting it and being such a good sport!! Family is everything and I’m glad i get to spend Christmas with them all.
My best moment of 2022 was going to an all-inclusive resort with my family in Florida. We had the best time together and it was my nieces first plane ride. She loved every moment of it!
My best moment is that we were not under any restrictions due to Covid so grateful my family is all healthy and thankful we can travel and see family .Thank You soo much for the awesome giveaway
My best moment of this year? Well it’s hard to find the positive this year for me. A lot of things have happened personally. So, I will just say that best thing that happened to me this year is I have learned to rely on my self and my ability to overcome emotionally stressful situations. I have grown or been forced to grow in many different areas. I am hoping for a less stressful next year.
Best moment – my second grandson was born 🥰
My best moment of 2022 was moving my oldest daughter into her first apartment at college. Even though I miss her terribly, it was fun to decorate and see her grow with more independence and more confidence in herself.
My brother and sister in law telling us they were pregnant again after years of trying.
My son making Eagle Scout after being a scout since he was 5 years old
My best moment was finally getting to go on our family trip to Poland. It was amazing! 100% would go back.
Seeing my son in person after a whole year.
2022 has been a very difficult year for me, but I would say the best moments are the ones I spent with family and friends.
The best moment is that we got a house! We have been living in an apartment for over 7 years.
Took a while to enter this I struggled to think of best thing that happened this year. My life is pretty much the same day in and day out, and I just cruise along when I can. Have small health issues compared to some but I guess the best thing is I am still here and still have loved ones around. Xxx little things are sometimes the best things.
It’s been a hard year. In March we adopted a rescue cat, and she is so sweet. Thanks for the chance!
Travel. Went to California to see grandchildren, Peru for Amazon river cruise,Williamsburg VA where I lived for a year, Alaska, Cape Cod where we go for a family vacation every year, the Cotswold in England for garden tours, and Utah /Arizona for six National Parks. It was fabulous!
We took a trip to Salem, MA!
My best friend and I celebrated 50! Years of being best friends.
We have seen each other through both the good times and the bad times
Every health issue we have been there to support and take care of each other.
Truly an amazing gift from God!
My best moment was my oldest daughter getting accepted into her top choice university with a scholarship and going to visit the school with her.
The best moment of 2022 is getting my cancer free news from my dr and celebrating my son who is my youngest of 4 kids high school graduation and having a party for him, his 3 best friends who graduated also with our familes, it was so much bittersweet fun!
My family was able to get together for the first time in 5 years to celebrate my aunt’s 80th birthday. It was a wonderful weekend reconnecting with cousins, aunts and uncles.
I started taking care of my husband’s uncle. It has been a pleasure getting to know him even better.
Seeing my brother and his family again.
I am home for Christmas! I work in China (away from my family) and due to (still active) COVID restrictions I have had to spend prolonged periods at work. I travelled to China in September 2020 and returned home in March 2021, then travelled back to work again August 2021 and returned hom April 2022, then travelled to China again in August 2022 and returned on 3 December 2022.
During my 2020/2021 stint my husband got COVID on 20 December and I had to arrange a home care nurse to look after my kids (4&6 at that time).
I missed 2 Christmases, 2 new years celebrations, 2 of my husband’s birthdays (including his 40th) and my oldest first day of grade 1 in this last 2 years.
Today I am on a surprise holiday with my kids after arriving at home a week ago as a surprise as well. We have plans to spent Christmas with my extended family! I have planned a big birthday party for myself and my husband in January and I will be able to witness my youngest daughter’s first day of school. 2022 is good!
My husband and I got to visit Punta Cana which was something that we’ve wanted to do since we got married in 2006. It was amazing.
Hmm I don’t really know, it’s been a meh year although there are a lot of little things I’m still grateful for. Maybe our household of 3 surviving Covid earlier this year.
My mother surviving breast cancer and getting through Covid.
When my kid was able to stop their uncontrollable weight loss
The best moment of 2022 was seeing my daughter get married and begin her life in England after they faced many delays and hurtles.
Quitting a job with a company that didn’t appreciate me when I got a better job making much better money.
The best moment of 2022 was the day my husband was released from rehab after a serious back surgery.
Retiring on Jan 1 (after 42 years as a civil servant) and moving out of a dark apartment to my own little 2 BR home near the beach… a sunny warmer climate and an active retirement community filled with so many activities and clubs — new friends, new lifestyle.
The birth of my second grandchild.
Thanks for a chance!
When I met some of my favorite authors in Edinburgh at an RARE event. <3
When my little boy came out of surgery all fixed
My favorite moment of 2022 was getting to go on a beach vacation with my son and his girlfriend.
My best friend had a heart attack and they saved her!
We had a couple health scares early in the year, so I’m just glad everyone is healthy now.
I quit my job as a Finance Officer and became a PA to an author! Dream job! <3
I graduate in 5 days and that will be definitely the best part of 2022!
My best moment of 2022 was when my in ground pool was completed in April. Thanks for the chance to win one of your great prizes. Merry Christmas
I was blessed to see Elton John in his farewell tour with my son. We had the best time. It was a night to remember.
My best moment of 2022 was seeing my daughter graduate from college. She is first in the family to do so. So proud of her.
My daughter bought a house with her boyfriend so they can start a family of their own.
Family Thanksgiving. colby69@verizon.net
We moved halfway across the country over the summer and purchasing a house beforehand was very difficult because of the distance and the market. My best moment this year was visiting the house for the first time and seeing it was even better than the virtual walk through.
My best moment of 2022, was when I realized I will be ok on my own. It is a scary world and being married for 20 yrs and it abruptly coming to an end was a scary way to start the year. But I have a great tribe and I am in a much better place now.
My best moment of 2022 was my birthday.
My best moment of 2022 was meeting a softball mom who changed my life. I was overweight, depressed and didn’t have a lot of friends. She owns 2 nutrition clubs and I starting going and just talking with her. We clicked instantly and became good friends. I started using the products and started losing weight, my depression was fading and I made new friends. Now I work at the clubs and also have become a distributor for the Herbalife products used there. Thank goodness for softball!
The best moment last year was in January when I got a call that my promotion went through. I love my new job! Thanks for the chance!
My best moment this year was a compilation of events with my oldest son. He graduated high school in May as Valedictorian. I didn’t think he would do well with his speech, because he is not social or a good public speaker, but he did really well. Then, he went to college and received several scholarships and admitted to the honors program.
Learning that after a year and a half of 5 day a week reading intervention with a specialist, that my daughter had finally caught up, she was starting the 3rd grade “on track” with reading. It’s been a long road, lots of tears, lots of hard work and I am so incredibly proud of how far she’s come!
Didn’t really have a good moment
nothing stands out
I really haven’t had any outstanding moments this year….
After battling metastatic kidney cancer for 4 years I am finally in remission
I don’t think I’ve had it yet.
I haven’t had any good moments this year.
My best moment was seeing my niece & her husband. I haven’t seen them in 15 years because we live in different states and with my health & them having jobs there’s no way to just up & go. They happened to be at a fishing tournament close to me & we made plans to meet up & have dinner . It was so wonderful . I love your horses, they are beautiful ❤️
My best moment of 2022 was to finally Celebrate our 35th Anniversary Trip to the Galapagos on our 37th Anniversary
This is a difficult question because I lost my 49 year old brother to cancer last December and this year has been rough. I think the best moment for me though was learning who I could lean on during this time in my life. I learned A LOT about my relationships and I moved away from the toxic ones.
2022 has been a good year but tge best part for me has been my personal journey and the inner strength i have gained
Learning to take care of myself
I got to visit with my friends that I have not seen for over 2 years, it was so much fun and we had a great time. I really enjoyed it and hope we can together this year.
Watching my 15 year old fight his way to a starting position, on the O-Line in JV Football then continue his fight to make the Varsity team as a Sophmore.
Birth of my granddaughter on September 27,2022 Harmony Diane
2022 Best Moment was my son moved to the same Island as us to live. Now we have two sons and a daughter-in-law all living close to us. Such a happy ending to a crazy year.
Being able to travel again with the kids in the RV. I mean I so enjoy making lasting memories with the grand children.
The day I stopped wearing masks daily
My best friend reached out to me after several years of no contact. So happy to have her back in my life!
Watching my daughter graduate twice in the same year. She graduated highschool in June but took college courses throughout high school and in May she also graduated from the local college with her Certification in applied Science in Mechatronics. What made this such an achievement for me is because I am disabled plus I had a cast on my leg from a surgery I had in April on my foot and ankle yet I was able to be there to see her graduate.
Not much really happened this year…… wow. I can’t think of anything! So I guess that made for a good year!
When the kids got to go back to school without masks!
Probably when we got contracted for another 6 months for the commercial we took part in for Hefty which came at a time when we were completely broke! It was such a blessing!
In 2022 I got a promotion at work and finally got a new car. New to me. Lol
Finding out I’m going to be a grandma
The horses are beautiful, I wish I could have one! My best moment of 2022 was when the doctor said my daughter’s kidneys were back to normal function!
Have a magical holiday season!
My best moment of 2022 was starting my weight loss journey! I had bariatric surgery in August and have lost over 70 pounds. I feel like i have finally starting living instead of surviving, and your books have gotten me through a lot of those hard times. Thank you for everything you write and being such a big part of my life !
Well, since I can’t think of one, must have been too many (rather than none) haha. How’s that for glass is half full logic??!!??
There wasn’t many but the one that sticks out to me is I paid my car off finally. This is the 3rd car I’ve owned now I’m just hoping to get some other things taken care of so I’m not so stressed out. Thank you for doing these giveaways I look forward to them every year.
After years of doing ancestry dna research I thought I’d finally found the sur name of my biological father and where to find the tombstone of my grand parents and three of their sons. So I took the hour and a half drive through the country to the small church side cemetery, hoping to compare the dates of the lives and deaths of the three sons.. maybe one of them was my father..
I found myself praying at the headstone of my grand parents.. like a nut.. I introduced myself to them told them about myself and my family and begged them to show me a sign or point me in the right direction if they had any ability to do so. I was a hot sticky midmorning so when I got back to the car I wanted to cool off in the ac before hitting the road while cooling off I remembered there was another name in the family I wanted to look up. This name had popped up in the recently released census info from the 1940’s. So I googled it while cooling off in the cemetery parking lot. Turned out the man I googled lived right around the corner from where I was … I shot you not !!! I drove by just to take a look.. thinking at least I could see where my people were from, there was a man waving from the porch, I call it the country wave, anyway deciding he looked friendly I decided to see if he might be able to tell me something about the family I was looking into. As our conversation began, he started to glow.. seriously.. I’ve never seen such a thing.. my husband could see it from the car.. he ask for my mothers name then told me he used to work with her, lol, he said “yeah, I know her” I said “umm how weelll did you know her?” He gives me this huge grin while spreading his arms wide open to embrace me and says” come here kid, it’s me, I’m your father, I’m so glad you’re hear, that you found me!”
Cue the endless tears and hugs!!
Not just best day of 2022 but really best day ever !!
I own a small farm. I always have a huge garden and either can the harvest, give it away or sale it. This is the first year that my grape vines were fruitful. I made so much jelly! I’m also trying my hand with wine. My apple trees also had a big harvest. I canned apple pie filling, apple butter, and apple jelly. It’s all hard work, but nothing makes me happier than a good harvest.
Being asked by my brother and his wife to go with them to London. I live in Midwest America so leaving the country for the first time was great. What made this so special is my brother knows that I love the history of the British Royals as far back as 1300’s and asked me to join them on there trip. This was also their 25th wedding anniversary so that was so nice of them to ask me to come.
I found my dog! I was driving home from work and found her running down the middle of the rural road. After searching for her owners for a month I came to the realization that she had already found her forever home. She goes everywhere with me and completes me. Bonus, I was listening to this series at the time.
The best thing about this year is that my family and I are happy and healthy. We are so incredibly blessed with good health. My very good friend was diagnosed with a brain tumor and is recovering now with its removal. I pray everyday for his recovery.
My best moment is traveling to South Korea with my best friend and exploring the country for a month. It was a great experience and we learned a lot about each other. Lol
I bought plane tickets to what will be my first time flying next year ♥️
My brother in law for getting a kidney. So grateful he only had to wait a year. Sad for the family who suffered the loss.
Best moment for 2022 for me is finally taking the steps to obtain my passport. It’s major for me, because I am plaining on living outside of the United States in 2 – 3 years from now, so I can have a better life and balance!
It hasn’t been a great year, but probably when it became real that my son got into a really good college. I mean, he got accepted into all the schools he applied to, but when he got the letter for the one he really wanted to go to, it was awesome. But it didn’t feel real until we went to orientation and had to drive halfway across the state and I cried when I had to leave him there overnight. We see the school merch in local stores, so my daughter and I still say, ‘hey, we know someone who goes there’.
We have sort of gotten used to him going there and what he studies, but when we tell people and they are like ‘whoa, that’s super hard’, then we have to be like yeah, that is hard, Ethan is awesome, and spoil him extra hard when he comes home for the weekend. It’s still hard having him so far away, then he tells us about various crimes that are happening around the campus because it is an open campus or when something really funny happens at home and he’s not here. But I know it will be worth it in three and a half years. I’ve just got to get through them.
Had a few crappy moments that throat punched the bank balance but the best thing was that my family was safe and happy x
We bought a house! Never thought we’d be able to but here we are!
I was assaulted in October 2021 by a man I trusted.
I had to go to court as a witness and testify.
I was scared, anxieties but I did it and won the court case.
I was relived after that and brave
Thanks for the chance 💕
I know it is not exciting to most but, the best moment of 2022 for me was the day we got the last Air Conditioner. We spent most of the Summer without a really good one. That’s a whole other story. Southwest Louisiana in July and August with no A/C is not a good time.
Moving back to my hometown after living away for 37 years ❤️🥰
We adopt a kitten this year after 21 years wanting to have one. Finally, I feel like I’m settled enough to commit 🙂
Best moment was my mum getting out of hospital after pneumonia and sepsis!
My best moment of 2022 was watching my son who had just turned 11 earn his black belt in taekwondo. Him earning his black belt was years of sacrifice and he had to push through something that up until this was the hardest thing he had ever had to do. He started when he was 4 1/2 and he continues to push forward everyday! Such a huge accomplishment for an 11 year old.
We finally decided to get a golden retriever puppy- we lost our last golden two years ago at a fairly young age and we were just not ready to take that leap of faith again. We bit the bullet this past February and brought home a big chonk of a puppy that has grown into a 95 lb. love bug. It was an awesome addition to our family!
My best moment was my brother reaching out to speak to me after a couple of years. He used to be like a father to me since ours died when I was very young. Then my mom had to go to a nursing home and he legally owned her home and moved someone in he knew she hated. He never told me and then gave me two weeks to remove all her stuff or he was throwing it out. He blamed me for the fallout because he said I did know but I did not. Anyway he texted me on my birthday this year out of the blue. It was nice.
My grandson was born🥰
The best moment of 2022? When my twins both got their drivers licenses AND jobs. Yes, they both got in accidents several months later a week apart from each other, but they are both working to also help pay it off with me.
I’m in a chat group about all things audiobooks books. Finally meeting those girls face to face after 2 years of daily chats and the occasional zoom was the highlight of my year.
I turned 70 in July and my husband turned 80 in August. We could not see our daughter for our birthday since she was out of town both times. But in early August she threw us a surprise party in a huge barn. She tookk our Christmas card list and invited everyone. I saw people I have not seen in years – some 20 years ! It took our breath away,
Not much. Just glad my health is better
My best moment in 2022 was going camping with my family to our favorite Campground! Some of our friends came too and everyone had a great time!
Life approaching normalcy.
When my doctor asked “How does it feel being cancer free?” Was diagnosed with breast cancer late 2019. After chemo, surgery and radiation life is looking damn good.
Buying a home for my children was a big plus
My fiancé and I both starting new jobs and taking new chances. It’s been great!
Hiking through the mountains of Breckenridge, CO.
My daughter got engaged and we have been redoing some of our house Remodeling I should say Creeping Beautiful is one of my favorite books of all time
My granddaughter was born on December 5th!
Your horses are truly beautiful! My nieces came to visit me in July. I hadn’t see them in over 2+ years, mostly because of Covid. They are teenagers now and such great kids! We hung out and did stuff they used to love to do when they came to visit me when they were little like going to the Aquarium, watching movies, shopping, and doing crafty things. We had a blast!
When I dyed the underside of my hair in the middle of a mental breakdown. And my surprise birthday party.
When I dyed my hair and my surprise birthday party
I was finally acknowledged for all the extra things I do at work and got a nice promotion. It’s been years and years coming.😅
I guess it would be getting to have an in person Christmas celebration with work. We haven’t been able to get together in person for a couple of years. We went to Enchant and it was great. Loved the maze of lights.
My best day was the day before Independence Day when my husband and I were hiking at our rural property and a random isolated thunder storm showed up, dumped hail, and caused a flash flood. We ended up being stranded overnight due to flooding. Luckily we have a small camper we stay in sometimes and stock with some essentials. We had an impromptu getaway and our teenagers had to fend for themselves in town alone. Not only was it kind of exciting but we got some beautiful pictures that day and a happy memory.
Watching my sister graduate from college this year (first in the family)! While her path wasn’t the easiest I’m proud of what she accomplished. She motivates me to keep going when facing obstacles & inspires me to believe in myself & my capabilities! I wish that our dad could have been there as he would be the loudest one cheering her on but I know he was watching over her with his biggest smile.
My best moment for 2022 was getting my job back at the place I love to work it’s fullfolled my every dream
I conquered my fear of paddleboarding when I went paddleboarding with my girlfriends on a lake.
We had a huge surprise party for my mom’s 80th birthday in 2022. My best moment was seeing her have the perfect party with friends and family she hadn’t seen in years. It was a grand and special day like none she had ever had before.
This year as well as the last few have been rough. But the best part of this year, is when I’ve been able to laugh or smile so you can see happiness in my eyes. It doesn’t happen nearly as often as it used to, so those moments are treasured.
????????????????
My daughter got picked for a Co-Op in her field of study!
I started back to school this year for my AS in early childhood education
It has been a really rough year. Both my parents are very I’ll. So we are just spending as much time with them.
It was a crazy year in my house. The kids are trying to get life going after all the COVID stops in their life. My youngest struggled a lot these last few years. No grad no 18th birthday and his job was in a gym which of course closed and was his release. My other son in school in another city was doing classes online which for him was difficult. We decided to try and fulfill a life long dream and we made it to Mexico for the Day of the Dead. I painted our faces we took in the culture and we truly had an amazing family adventure which was worth the expense to finally try to get them going into their new adventures. We all want what’s best for our children and hope that we’re doing well by them. Thank you so much for the probing questions that makes us think about the most positive things in life and what truly matters. Wishing you and yours the most incredible holiday season and a very Merry Christmas ❤️📚🎄

Relaxing during the summer vacation with my family
Our 25th anniversary…..and both of us forgetting it!! LOL (That’s what happens when you’ve now spent more than half your lives with each other, than not together)
Best moment of 2022 was seeing my mom surrounded by all her family at Thanksgiving. Her health has declined dramatically over the past couple years with a big scare a few weeks before Thanksgiving where we weren’t sure if she would be with us for the holidays. Thankfully God blessed us with more time with her, looking forward to spending the rest of the holidays and each and every minute with her that I can!
2022 has been a horrible year, I guess my best day was getting home from being in the hospital and rehab after 5 months
The best moment of 2022 was the purchase of my new ride. About 6 years ago I took my car in for service and they gave me an IS 300 as a loaner. I feel in love with it. I never buy cars just to buy them. I drive my cars until the wheels fall off! But I never stopped thinking about that car. This past April it was time for a replacement. I got that IS and absolutely love it.
Keeping in touch with everyone and knowing they are all healthy
My family celebrated my husband becoming a US Citizen in September! He works so hard for our family and we were so proud of his great accomplishment. I think we partied the whole month. 😀
Seeing my only son complete his first year of university. Go Gators!
Having my great nephew tell me I wove you wenea. 🤣🤣
One of my best moments of 2022 had to be when both of my kids made the dean list at their colleges. The second best would be recognized at work for the achievements I have accomplished and the bonus I received.
One of my best moments of 2022. I know there was quite a few but one that sticks out to me is walking the beach with my daughter. Finding a secret spot that we had never found before. It was pretty awesome.
BEST MOMENT IN 2022 was the birth of my granddaughter
I became a grandmother in 2022.
Looking for. a house. Still haven’t found one, but it’s been fun lol

My best day in 2022 was the birth of my granddaughter on Oct 2. Now I have 5 gloriously wild grandchildren that I can spend more time with because, whoopee! I also retired this year from my counseling/teaching career.
Getting our bengal cat, Cooper, last month from a rescue.
Watching my son graduate high school.
The best day was visiting with my sister and nephew recently. We live far apart and usually only get to see each other in person about once a year, so to be able to get an extra visit was pretty great.
I think my two favorite moments were my vacation to Emerald Isle, NC (since I haven’t been out of town since 2018 for vacation) and getting my diabetes under control.
I have a few highlights for 2022. Hubby turned 50 and I gave him a surprise party. The surprise remained and he only found out on the day! What a fantastic day! I went to Germany for work and it was a wonderful trip. Cold but great! And now I am waiting for my wov renewal on the 13th of December. We are doing the whole shebang! The official that married us 25 years ago will be doing it again! I cannot wait
Visiting Fontana Wellness in Iceland. After a day of getting soaked and frozen, sinking into the hot pools was bliss. Then going into a freezing cold lake was crazy but amazing.
My new job. I have really enjoyed my new company and the work life balance that I have.
My best moment in 2022 was when we found out my daughter-in-law had been able to adopt our granddaughter.
The best part of 2022 was welcoming my daughter, Felicity into the world on 9/2/22 🙂
I don’t personally have a ‘best moment’ but my husband got a clean bill of health from his cancer…and he officially retired.
You know what?…I can’t really think of any. Maybe finding and giving the perfect early Xmas gifts to my parents and bro.
I would have to say January 1st because it was the start of the year ,an a new begin but unfortunately it didn’t turn out good
My daughter started college. It was both the best and worst. I miss her terribly, but am so proud of her!
My new grand baby
After being a SAHM for 13 years, I went back to work this year. I get to talk to adults again. Everyday. Lol
OMG it’s so hard to choose! I got a new grand baby, Husband was sick but is now healthy, Son is getting married Christmas Eve, I got a new job . . . . It’s been a great year!
Adopting my new kitten Juniper. I already have a one year old cat named Luna and I wanted to adopt another so Luna could have a sister and playmate. She has really enriched my life since and I couldn’t be happier with the two of them. They make me so happy every day and I can’t wait to spend many more years with them.
Having my eye surgery which was successful
Maybe my 40th birthday!
Early in 2022, my precious baby girl Dixie (my 12 year old Beagle) was in so much pain that she wasn’t getting up unless we carried her outside to go to the bathroom. She was scheduled to be euthanized… I don’t know how I got so lucky, but I got a miracle the very next day when she started getting up on her own again!! Needless to say, I canceled her euthanasia appointment, & 6 months later, she was back to going on hour long walks! She is still alive today, struggling with cancer, liver disease, hypothyroid, degenerative disc disease, chronic ear infections and something new, bothering her stomach area that I am taking her to the veterinarian about today, but she is happy. And as long as she remains happy and comfortable, I will enjoy every second with her until she’s ready to say goodbye for real!
Be able to still stand tall after everything 2022 put me through.
Ps I’d like to change my day 12 answer to this giveaway!!! Love this one
Watching my oldest daughter graduate from high school! She has been struggling with anxiety and depression so I’m so proud of her and now she is attending community college! Thanks for the chance!
Promotion at work!
My best moment in 2022 was being able to spend a weekend with my sister and brother and spread my dad’s ashes. We were all able to reminisce memories of our dad and we went fishing together because that was his favorite thing to do. We all caught fish and we felt connected to him during that time. It was a sad but rewarding weekend for all of us siblings.
My best moment was family vacation at viriginia beachwith my family.
My best moment actually occurred this past weekend where I was able to take a mini vacation with my brother & some family friends to see our first NFL football game! Never in my life thought I’d be there in person. Go Cowboys!! 😃

2022 brought my first granddaughter and my daughter’s first child after years of IVF.
The birth of my granddaughter in October.
I rang in my 60th trip around the sun with some of my very favorite people on the planet, most importantly, my son. I learned how to make candles, had a wonderful dinner, and generally had the best birthday I’ve had in quite some time.
My best moment this year was getting to know my 2 nephews. My sister in law moved in due to financial hardship. This has allowed me to have a relationship with them that I will forever be thankful for.
My best moment of 2022 was (finally) attending the wedding of two dear friends that had been postponed twice due to the pandemic,
My best moments are my beach days. Always feeds my soul.
My son starting secondary (high) school without any major problems. He’s suffered from anxiety for the past few years and returning to school after the holidays has been when it affects him the most. He’s been working on coping techniques and managed to make to with only a minor hiccup and has been managing much better since then. I’m so proud of him for how hard he’s worked to overcome it.
I am honestly not sure, I don’t have the best long term memory. But I can say we were very excited that our yearly spot that we go and see massive displays of Christmas lights finally reopened this year.
I live in England and my whole family lives in Indiana. My best moment was finally seeing them after a long 2 1/2 years due to the pandemic. You do not realise how much you need to hug and spend time with your family until you are without them for so long.
I self-published my first 2 books. 🙂
The best would be getting our two new kittens! Happy Holidays
My son came home from the Air Force. Best Day EVER
My best moment of this 2022 is the day Mimì my cat came to live with me, she has a broken nerve in her right foreleg so she can’t uses her paw anymore… But she became my companion now my only distraction from my life! She is so cute and a lovely kitten 😻
Seeing James Taylor in concert
When I get to see my father
Weirdly, it was last week when my daughter went through the side door of her school with her class at morning drop off, rather than needing me to walk her to the office.
When we get together for family gatherings because we went from a big family to a small family in the last 5 to 10 years.
1st day of school back in August – oldest went to Middle School (1st year we didn’t walk her to class) and my youngest riding the bus all by himself like a big kid. 🙃
I passed my Equity Compensation Associate Exam with a 96. And I got promoted shortly after. They’re kind of tied but also a little connected.
The best day of this year was when I received a letter in the mail saying I was being accepted for the remaining of the year to get my new migraine medication, that cost $1,000 for 10 pills, for free. I feel so blessed because there is no way I could afford this medication.
My best moment this year was the small wonder of a very beautiful ink in a smooth fountain pen.
When I met author Patricia Briggs in June or when I met author Kristen Ashley in September!
My new job! Doing what I love make all the days so much better.
Starting my new job! Doing what I love again means all the days are that much better!
It was a difficult year. The best moment of the year was the little kitten we found on the street. She was sick, she made it and now our lives are better with her.
My daughter being born in May! She’s our second baby, our son is now 7 so it’s been really fun having an infant and seeing our son play with her

Being able to travel with my son to watch him compete at the State and then National championships and graduate high school all in the same month.
Cross-country skiing on a frozen lake again after 30 years!
Sending my husband off to a concert of his favorite band. It was a surprise gift that I bought for him at the end of 2019 but the world shut down and then the lead singer got Covid19. My husband was finally able to go in September of this year!
*I don’t remember if I’ve entered or not. If this is a duplicate, disregard, please.
My best moment in 2022 was being at my grandson’s 5th birthday party. All my grandchildren were there, and it was such fun!
2022 was a rough year for me. Covid twice, luckily I’m vaccinated! Also bronchitis, 3 fractured ribs and e coli. Then a knee replacement so I couldn’t do BB! But I’m healing nicely so I’m just trying to make it through the rest of the year. The best part is that my 16 year old diabetic cat is still with me.
We paid our house off this year! My kids were even excited about it! We had a count down and celebrated afterward. It should set us up for a very nice 2023!
The best part of 2022 is my family being there for each other through the good, bad, and the ugly ❤
Watching my oldest son cross the finish line of the Chicago Triathlon (his first!) after training so hard for it!
My best moment of 2022 was getting to foster a 2 year old little girl. I’ve had her since October. Hoping to adopt her soon. Biological mother isn’t emotionally mature or stable enough to take care of her.
I would have to say when my niece and nephew came up from North Carolina to visit us in June. They moved there in 2021 and I have only seen them 2 since they moved down there (from PA) and it is so special when we get to see them.
Seeing my niece, who I helped raise, walk down the aisle and get married to a wonderful guy <3
My granddaughter being born was the best.
My best moment was going to a Five Finger Death Punch concert with my friend.
Going on vacation with my family and my mom. The best!
I would probably say going to Tennessee with family and seeing the Smokey Mountains
2022 became my definition of survival (so far)! Survived my first mugging in Lima, Peru, survived COVID with 3 months of physiotherapy, survived pneumonia, survived too much silly family drama. Cheers to 2022!
My year of 2022 has been mostly about business. I am a self-employed photographic artist, contracting is too left-brained for me…but I’m back on GSA and that enabled me to continue a 16-year project doing art for our US Army medical center at Landstuhl GE, I’m about to be the only artist approved to sell to the VHA, and if all goes well, I’ll have the funds to be able to be back out seeing the world now that (hopefully) the pandemic crisis abates. The best thing about 2022 is being able to lay the groundwork that will let me see the world again. That, my darling (adult) son, feeding the critters (possums, raccoons, skunks and our Kitty!) that came when the world got quiet during the lockdown. Not much cuter than a raccoon gently taking a grape, fingers-to-paws).
The best thing in 2022, hmm… My husband turned 70 and retired in August. I kind of followed along, but detoured and opened a leather shop, buying all the equipment, tools, hardware and stuff from my former employer of 13 years. I’ve not had time, to work in it yet, as my sewing customers are still keeping me busy.
My chronic pain finally disappearing was the best moment.
I was able to go visit my sister for the first time in a couple years
My best moment was finally getting on an international flight and travelling around the UK. In Australia, we have been so locked down…it’s fabulous that we are finally going back to (a new) normal.

My husband and I bought a house that we are repairing and fixing up.
My daughter starting her senior year of high school!
I got to fly home again for a longer period and enjoyed the handful that are my nephews
Spending time with family and friends
My best moment of 2022 has been not losing my husband he’s been dealing with some serious health issues and the tests have come back in his favor so far and we still have more to do but I consider it a blessing in a year of losses that include his father for some of the same things that my husband is being checked for. Also my niece is getting married the day before New Years and she’s having another baby
Meeting my great-nephew and great-niece, finally!
I started writing my first book!!
Aw, congrats on your beautiful horses! They are gorgeous. Best moment of the year is going to happen in a few hours. I will have finished my last exam for my last course, completing my business degree!
Watching my kid start college, blows my mind still.

Family trip to Europe was the best moment!
My favorite moment was taking my son to his first Sabaton concert. Watching him enjoy the show was priceless.
I’m still looking for that but there are a few weeks left to the year so who knows.
Finally filing for divorce after almost 36 yrs. and feeling good about it. Was a long time coming and I had to be ready.
My health was pretty good this year.
I would say my best moment in 2022 was when we moved to California. My husband got a job there and had to start in May, but our 8 yr old son still had to finish up the school year until the middle of June. I stayed back with our son to finish school and my husband moved. For the first time in our 17 year marriage, we were apart. When school finished, that same weekend we flew out. Seeing my husband after so long and watching our son see his daddy again, after 7 weeks, was such an emotional thing. That was my best moment.
Getting my dad through his heart attack and stroke and all the months of therapy. He is still with us and mostly independent. Yay!
2022 was a rough one for me, so I’d say just getting through this last year was my best moment.
My daughter’s wedding day!
Our middle child getting a divorce from her abusive husband and seeing her happy and thriving.
Having my older daughter graduate high school and make it through her 1st semester of college all while battling suicidal ideations and going through an attempt
I’m gonna be honest and say that this year flew by so fast, the days blending together with complication after complication that I can’t really think of a best moment. I think come the 31st, I’m just gonna be happy that I survived another brutal year for this family. 😬🤷🏻♀️
All my kids were together for the first time in a few years. I was one happy Mom having the full family in one place. It doesn’t happen often.
Your horses are so pretty! I’m glad you’re enjoying them.
My best moment this year was finally finding a good preschool for my 4 year old where she is thriving.
My best moment was getting a cortisone injection and discovering (at least for a time) that it made a huge difference in how I felt.
My favorite moment this year was a random conversation with my eldest son when he told me that I had been a phenomenal mother. We women never give ourselves enough credit. I raised two young men with special needs and often felt completely adrift and incompetent, especially during their teen years. I had tears in my eyes when he said that to me.
to tell the truth each day of 2022 has felt like all days of 2022
Hmmm. I think my best moment of 2022 was a compilation of moments spent with my oldest son. He and I went on a school trip together to Europe and he preferred to hangout with me over the other teenagers which made my mom heart full.
My sister’s wedding and my family trip❤️❤️
Getting my two Chewiennies and my great Dane puppies.
Flying to Chicago to catch a Blackhawks game with my two oldest sons as their graduation gifts. They are two years apart, but Covid messed up any plans for my oldest’s graduation. He moved more than 4,000 away from me, in Alaska, to Providence, RI. So being able to see him was actually the highlight of the whole trip.
Well I have to say this year has been a chalenge. But I will survive.
I have to say this year hasn’t really been special for me. There was really no special things or great things that happened for me in 2022.
I started my own business. 😊
I had some fought moments in 2022, bit the best was opening my eyes each morning to a new day.
So it’s been a rough year. My dad had a stroke, my mom’s breast cancer is back, my 4year old with DS had his 4th surgery, and I’m currently recovering from a hysterectomy. My favorite moment is now because we’re all still here together with love and support surrounding us from family and friends. It’s the best feeling ever. ❤️
August 6, 2022 the day I married my soulmate.
Deciding to love myself as is and not wait to live my life till “fill the blank” happened.
Surprisingly it was getting laid off. I was able to take some time off for myself. I need to get something new lined up for the new year but it’s been really nice to have this time!
My best moment was when I was able to get a full time job after 9 years of being a stay at home mom..
I left a very toxic job and have now found a job that appreciates me and allows me to colour outside of the lines. Now, weeks later, my previous job is calling me for help and doesn’t know how I was able to juggle all of the workload alone.
Hands down, going to Paris with my daughter. Ala Gilmore Girls style.
WHAT WAS YOUR BEST MOMENT IN 2022?
Best moment…my beach trip with my sister!
My best moment in 2022 would have to be having surgery, I know sounds crazy who’s wants that?!? But I have had tummy problems for over 10 years and finally someone listened to me and didn’t bounce me around from doctor to doctor. I have been pain free for 4 weeks and they think it will only get better!!
It has been a really tough year personally. There is no extreme thing that was great but I did come into some personal realizations on why I am the way I am that will help me go forward. That is a great positive outcome. vague, I know but it is a public blog.
Ahhh I have to say any moment I see my son growning and learning and showing me that he is turning into an amazing ‘big’ boy
It’s been a rough year health wise for me, so the highlight of my year was attending my stepson’s wedding. I got to see my other kids and their significant others and my biological son had plenty of time to hang out with his siblings and I love those kids so I was over the moon. I needed that.
Being able to finally travel again
Graduating from pulmonary rehab when first started I did not think I was going to be able to finish with how bad my lungs were but finishing and getting the certificate was the best
For me the best moment of 2022 was the day I turned in my resignation to my full time job and be able to continue doing the same job (working with special needs kids) on a part-time basis and work when I want (and am able) but not feel financially stressed.
Spending time with my mom and having 2 temporary jobs
My best moment of the year was getting to check a long-anticipated trip off my bucket list after two years of staying home and avoiding travel.
We got a new puppy – a Rottweiler! My kids are in love with her and I love all of the memories they are making with her.
My best moment was watching my son marry the love of his life. Thank you!
My best moment in 2022 was a girls trip to Tampa Bay with my bestest friends! So so much fun and wonderful memories!
I have two things a long awaited trip to Gatlinburg with lifetime friends and my dad is successfully fighting lung cancer.
Challenging myself to try new things
This was the year of the road-trip. Wedding, college visits and trips.
I have two best moments this year. One, my entire family went to magic Kingdom and Hollywood studios. My boys are 4 and 7 and we all wanted to see their reactions to their first times going. Second, was a few weeks ago when I got to meet and hold my first niece.
With 2 of my adult children we went to Chicago for a long weekend. We are Cubs fans and got to see our first Cubs game inperson. Whirlwind tourist things that left us totally exhausted but very happy travelers.
My best moment of 2022 was my daughter and son in law moving back from out of state! Having my family all together again is the best thing ever!
My mom has been battling cancer for the past year and it looks like the treatment is working!
My daughter starting 1st grade. Kinder last year was HARD. She is autistic and adhd and going to school after being home for 6 years was really really hard on her. trouble a lot, teacher principles counselor etc. So many meetings…. but we started 1st grade and it was like a switch flipped. She was engaged, no trouble, talking and communicating effectiveley with adults and other kids. Such a good feeling!
My best moment was the joy of my two youngest finally buying their first house right before the housing prices skyrocketed here in Tampa Bay.
The birth of my first grandbaby is the best moment. I love the covers for this series!!! Thank you for this amazing giveaway!
Definitely when I got my first job recently 🥺💕
