  16. Second-chance romance will forever be my fave trope. When that couple sees each other again…if written well…oh, man it is pure bliss in every angsty way. Congrats and happy release day!

  24. I don’t really have a favorite, I tend to go off of whatever I feel at the time and that is what I will read. Though because i can never decide, i tend to read a paperback, a kindle book and an audiobook all at the same time.

  25. Opposite, secret, forbidden.
    Not a trope but I like series where same plus new characters intertwined. 3 or 4 books to maybe 8 or 10….not long drawn out. Thank you

  29. This is always such a difficult question for me. I’m an emotional reader. I read tropes in cycles depending on my emotions. My favorite tropes may also change from book to book. Right now I’m reading urban fantasy romance with an enemies-to-lovers trope.

  32. I can’t say one trope specifically. I like a story with great characters, angst, surprises, danger, comedy…..lots of things. I most like stories that have returning characters that feel familiar. I believe that’s why you are my favorite authors. The characters and the worlds you build keep me wishing for more. Your stories are so evolving. Thanks for always keeping me on my toes trying to figure shit out. I have a whole notebook of your stories so I can remember shit that’s happened.

  46. I enjoy the forbidden love trope, when 2 people that are forbidden and end up in love, it tends to heal 2 entire families and thats truly a happy ending. I do like others too, but I suppose that’s my favorite.

  56. Wow. This is a tough question for me because I read a lot of everything. In the JA Huss world, I gravitate towards angsty romance, if that’s even a trope. But that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

  78. Maybe I’m an odd ball but I don’t have a fave trope. I just love all the books I read and I’ve only ever had one that I thought I didn’t like but really it was just a slow starter and I mean really slow starter and i was a kid when I read it.

  93. My favorite tropes are Dark romance, RH, Why choose, surprise baby (sometimes), and Strong heroine(s). I get tired of the the MFC being slightly dumb and or blind to everything around her.

    You ask some very difficult questions.
    My favorite Trope is ever changing with my mood for the day.
    Sometimes I want something with a lot of angst and danger.
    Other days I need something really mellow .
    I guess if I had to pick a favorite …….🤔
    I would have to choose Touch her and die/Thriller/Suspense/Alpha Hero/Strong Heroine.
    I don’t mind when my books are dark with TW.
