I’m so happy to finally present to you the cover for my fall Romantasy release, SPARKTOPIA!

This book is angsty to the point of hyperventilation, spicy, a little bit dark, and, of course, overflowing with morally grey characters and plot twists! There are four first-person points of view, three different story lines, two new worlds to explore, and NO CLIFFHANGER.

I worked on this cover for about a year. The book had a different title when I first started writing it because I always have a title before I start writing because it just helps me with world building. But about half way through writing it, this word, SPARKTOPIA, made an innocent appearance as graffiti on a ceiling. I don’t even know where it came from because I was just type-type-typing away one morning and this image on the ceiling didn’t mean anything at the time. I only mentioned it to build up the atmosphere of the tower in which the scene takes place because graffiti on the ceiling implies a certain type of living space and this was the feel I was going for.

But as soon as I wrote it, I knew it was my title. And then, because I had already made several iterations of the cover with the original title, I immediately went back into Photoshop and came up with this. I worked on it for a couple months afterward–just kind of moving certain elements around, and trying to find the right hands and how I wanted to display the Spark, and then I had to find a font to make all those symbols on the arms. So it took a while to get to the finish line, but the very day I came up with the new title I KNEW what this cover looked like. I just had to find a way to bring it into reality.

So I hope you love it as much as I do. 🙂

At the same time, a rebellion is brewing. The forgotten underclass is plotting the end of the god and his tower with strategically-placed Rebel spies that will bring it all down. Jasina Bell is a young woman on a mission to make history and she will stop at nothing to get the fame she deserves.

When Clara is forced into the tower against her will, she makes an unexpected discovery.
