DAY 9 – 12 DAYS OF GIVEAWAYS – 2024 – THE BOSSY BROTHERS

  • Giveaways, JA Huss

Welcome to my annual 12 DAYS OF GIVEAWAYS!

If you’re new to this – here’s how it works:

1.   Each day from December 1 through December 12 I will put up a new giveaway HERE on my website with instructions on how to enter, a detailed description of the prize, and some stuff about the book or series. Each giveaway is different and each has ONE WINNER. MY GIVEAWAYS ARE ALWAYS OPEN INTERNATIONAL

2.   Each giveaway runs UNTIL DECEMBER 13.

3.   Winners are CHOSEN and NOTIFIED on December 14. I will be notifying winners USING THE EMAIL USED TO COMMENT ON THIS BLOG – and all winners will BE LISTED AT THE TOP OF EACH GIVEAWAY POST HERE ON MY WEBSITE on December 14.

4.   Winners have 24 hours to respond, then another winner will be chosen.

5.   ALL PRIZES WILL BE MAILED ON DECEMBER 15.  If I’m waiting on a winner to respond and they miss the December 15 mail date, that prize will be mailed when I get around to it. I live in the middle of nowhere so a trip to the post office is a “thing” for me. 🙂 So make sure you’re checking for winners on the 14th.

6.   I will send newsletters announcing giveaways on December 1, December 6, December 12, and a Winner newsletter on December 14. I NEVER send this many newsletters in a month so sorry if that feels spammy.

7.   You can also FOLLOW MY BLOG. I will also make a blog post HERE announcing ALL WINNERS on the 14th. If you want to follow this blog there will be a form at the bottom of each post to do that. Then you get an email when I POST HERE. I don’t do that often – December is the exception because of the 12 Days and my yearly “Wrap-up” post.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

THAT’S IT! I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY THIS!

All prizes this year are self-care gift sets filled with holiday and luxury items, plus a $25 gift card and a signed copy of a a book.

IN EACH POST I WILL HIGHLIGHT A BOOK

TODAY’S BOOK HIGHLIGHT IS THE BOSSY BROTHERS

SPICE, FUN, DANGER… !

THERE’S A BROTHER FOR EVERYONE…

Bossy Jesse

A hilarious enemies-to-lovers romance that features a bachelor auction gone wrong, four bossy ladies who botch a crazy revenge kidnapping, a reverse dream-date, and a misunderstood billionaire called Jesse who just wants a second chance to win the girl he accidentally ghosted thirteen years ago.

Bossy Joey

A delicious, hot, MMFM, surprise-baby, fake fiancée story with a twist that proves committed couples don’t just come in two’s, mistakes can be a good thing, and for some people, non-traditional love is exactly the kind they should fight for.

Bossy Johnny

An enemies-to-lovers romance features a prince saving his princess from a life of hell, one or ten romantic gestures from a tattooed bad boy, swimming with glowing dolphins in the Bahamas, and secrets so deep everyone almost drowns.

Bossy Bride

Jesse and Emma are getting married. Kind of. Bossy Bride is a rompy, whirlwind trip down a rabbit hole of “Fantasy” Vegas weddings planned by a man called “Fingers” and just when you think nothing else could go wrong—a mermaid descends from the ceiling.

Bossy Alonzo

A long-distance game of online catfishing filled with dirty talking and scrumptious selfies between a tatted-up fisherman and a small-town librarian. Until the day all their safely-hidden secrets come spilling out and they realize… Love in the Land of fake Far, Far Away can’t ever compare to the real thing.

Bossy Tony

A friends-to-lovers AND enemies-to-lovers romance featuring two girls falling for the wrong men and two men falling for the right girls. A story filled with second chances, grand gestures, and the unexpected soul mate that will drive you crazy but leave you satisfied at the end.

Bossy Luke

A sweet and seductive MMF with two hot, committed men and a pink-haired gossip reporter desperate for a scoop. But when she stumbles into more secrets than she can handle, her boys need to call on all the Boston and Dumas brothers to keep her safe.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY MOVIE THAT YOU TRY AND WATCH EVERY SINGLE YEAR?

Bonus Points if you Say DIE HARD! haha 🙂

IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME COMMENTING ON THE BLOG IT HAS TO BE APPROVED. SO DON’T WORRY IF IT DOESN’T SHOW UP RIGHT AWAY.

MY ANSWER

Well, duh. DIE HARD! I love how this is some kind of point of contention. Clearly it’s a Christmas movie. It’s really not my fav, but it’s a good one for sure.

Oh, to be back in the day when Hollywood made movies people actually wanted to watch…

My real favorite holiday movie is called Holiday Switch. It’s kind of a low-budget Hallmark-y type with Nicole Eggert. It’s a spin-off of A Wonderful Life, Housewife version. Anyway, I think it’s cute.

ELF and Home Alone are also favs.

AND HERE is a sneak peek of tomorrow’s giveaway!

Make sure you stop by and enter!

My favorite is an old french movie called Le père Noël est une ordure (Santa Claus is a Stinker). It’s dark, gritty and so dang funny! My kids watched it for the first time last year and they couldn’t believe what they were watching, hahaha! Truly, it’s just brilliant!

I always watch March of the Wooden Soldiers on Thanksgiving morning while cooking. I feel this kicks off my holiday season. Absolutely, no one else in my family likes this movie and they think something is wrong with me for not only watching it while I cook but also I DVR it so I can enjoy watching it over and over again. There is just something about Laurel & Hardy that cracks me up. 🎄🤣🎄

My favorite holiday movie is The Polar Express. There is a great deal of sentiment attached to it for me. We took my son to see it when he was very young when it released in IMAX. He absolutely loved it. We all did. After that, we made watching that movie a bit of a holiday tradition.

Not entering because I have these books.

It’s tradition for my family to get together on Christmas Eve at my parents house and we watch a Christmas story. I live in Cleveland and the Christmas story house is in Tremont so it’s about 20 minutes from my house. It’s probably pretty embarrassing that I’ve never been to it. I always find that these things are disappointment in real life. But a few of my brothers have been and they think it’s pretty cool. So I should probably go.
I know that movie by heart. It’s so good.
Elf is another one of my favorites. And bad Santa is really good. I love Billy Bob Thornton. He is an amazing actor and that movie is so funny. And The supporting cast is amazing
But other than that I don’t really watch Christmas movies. A Christmas vacation is good. Of course. That’s probably it

He said yes. I asked if there were Christmas decorations in it. He said yes. So I asked again. He said ok I’ll give it to you but, it’s a guy Christmas movie. (Eye Roll). My favorite is Holiday Inn. My favorite Christmas movie to watch is the 1951 version of “Scrooge,” a British adaptation of Charles Dickens’s “A Christmas Carol.” The version which was released in the USA was titled, “A Christmas Carol” and starred Alastair Sim as Ebenezer Scrooge. I’ve seen almost all the versions of “A Christmas Carol”/”Scrooge” movies, but this one is my favorite! The 1938 version starring Reginal Owen isn’t too bad either! Of course, I love all the newer holiday movies like Die Hard, Elf, Home Alone too, but I tend to gravitate to the older films like “A Christmas Carol” and “White Christmas” with Bing Crosby & Danny Kaye. I guess they just bring back lots of happy memories watching with my parents who are now gone.

My father passed away 30 years ago this year, but every year when I am wrapping presents I put the DVD in and watch the movie and think about my dad.

There are several Christmas movies that I love and look forward to watching every year, but my all-time favorite is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. I love how Clark truly wants to give his loved ones the perfect family Christmas, and it makes me think about and laugh at how my family and I have experienced many of the conflicts and issues that the Griswold’s encounter. Thankfully, our mishaps were no where near as over the top as the events in the film. I always cry at the part where Clark is watching old home movies while he is locked in the attic because his movies look so much like the home movies my dad took, and I have tons of happy childhood holiday memories. 🎁🦃 🎄🔥🐿️👮‍♂️🌌⭐❤️

I always tried to catch them every year, then many years ago found them on DVD so now can watch every year. Let the Christmas season begin! I don’t really have one I try to watch every year. Most of mine are favorites from when I was a kid or teen and I am not sure if I would still enjoy them now if I sat and really watched them. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and Love Actually are two I would say that for. Yes, I’ll agree that Die Hard is a contemporary favorite, along with Home Alone. But the one movie I’ve always watched around the holidays, ever since I was a very young child, is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. And every once in a while (when I’m fueled by competition) I quote Gene Wilder’s “You get nothing! You lose! Good day, sir!” Some people get the reference, and others just think I’m being rude (which always just makes me giggle a little).

Honestly Die Hard is really it, with the exception of the short animated films of Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer, and Frosty The Snowman. They are classics! I’m 55 and still love them!

Ok First I will answer the question, and I have several. I have to watch them with my kids of course, and they are Polar Express (while drinking hot choc of course), How the Grinch stole Christmas (Jimmy Carrey version) Elf, one of my favorite Christmas movies. I also love to watch All of the other Christmas movies out there new and old (AKA “Hallmark” movies. I think Holiday in Handcuff’s and Santa Baby are 2 of my fav’s). But second I have to say the Bossy series is probably the dearest to my heart, because it is what introduced me to JA Huss. And I have read almost every single story since. I still have a few left to go, but I am getting there. My Fav series so far is the Rumble and the Glory, but bossy has a special place!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY MOVIE THAT YOU TRY AND WATCH EVERY SINGLE YEAR? Probably Elf. Whenever its on the TV, we just watch it. I know Xmas is here when it’s on and I just love it. Elf reminds me of all the old Christmas stop motion movies I would watch as a kid. We would scour the TV Guide, circle all the movie like Rudolph and when they came on, I would lay on my stomach, head propped in my hands and watch as my mom studied.
I know those classics are still on but they don’t capture me like Elf does.

I have always watched Scrooge with Albert Finney. It came out in 1970, 2 years after I was born. My parents loved musicals and we went to see local plays and musicals each year at an outdoor amphitheater called Dogwood Dell in Richmond, VA. The Dell is iconic. Families bring blankets and picnic baskets and wait for the show to start. My oldest son loved the song “Thank you very much” so much when he was little that my mother bought him a top hat from a costume shop so he could dance around the house imitating himself dancing on Scrooge’s coffin and singing that song. Both of my sons are grown, but they always expect that we’ll watch this version every year during the holidays. My husband watches the Christmas Story every year. The best thing about that movie is that lamp. It’s a metaphor for so much.

Scott from 1984) I am old school for some reason on my holiday movies. My Grams would watch them and she passed that love of these two on to me so much so I used to have an imaginary friend that lived in my ear as a child named Clarence from Its A Wonderful Life but he looked like a blue smurf in my mind (I had a lot of ear infections its a long story of how this happened LOL)

When I was a little girl It’s a Wonderful Life would play on tv on any given channel at any given time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Watching Jimmy Stewart play George Bailey always warmed my heart! My mom and I used to watch that movie so often we had all of the lines memorized. That movie is an integral part of our holidays.
In recent years we’ve adopted a second favorite movie that we found on TCM called It Happened on Fifth Avenue. It’s a lighter hearted story but still delivers a meaningful message.
If you haven’t seen either of these classic movies I highly recommend each of them! They’re great for all members of the family. It’s a Wonderful Life may be a little darker when the main character loses all hope and contemplates suicide, but all works out in the end. Also, for those wishing to see Mr Potter get his due Saturday Night Live does a great skit of the Baileys getting their justice. (If you catch the SNL holiday program be sure to watch for the Talk Radio skit featuring Schwetty Balls. It’s hilarious!)

I have to laugh a little because I gave my son-in-law a Die Hard Tshirt for his birthday in October so he could wear it throughout December. He loved it! And of course we talked about it being a Christmas movie. And it’s a favorite of mine, I have already watched it. But another favorite is Miracle On 34th Street the black and white version…I guess it’s the original one., Home Alone is up there too! The Christmas Cronicles, the first one was a great surprise how much I loved it! 😍

There are 3 that I always watch. First is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. It makes me laugh at the silliness of the comedic scenes, yet it still delivers messages we need to focus on during the holidays. My second watch is Polar Express. The cinematography is incredible and Tom Hanks is perfect in his role. The message it delivers makes me cry every time. Lastly is It’s a Beautiful Life. It’s a tradition I’ve continued since I was a child. It wouldn’t be Christmas without it. ❤️

I watch Jim Carey’s Grinch and Nightmare Before Christmas all year long because my niece sees no reason to deprive herself the rest of the yeat.

My all time favorite Christmas movie, is an old TV movie titled, It Happened One Christmas.
It’s a remake of A Wonderful Life, but with Marlo Thomas in the lead. Orson Wells is the bad guy.
It’s a great movie. I was able to get it on DVD years ago, from some company that could get hard to get movies.
But every year, we always, always watch A Christmas Story. Takes us back to the good ole days!

I don’t usually watch Die Hard during Christmastime, but it’s definitely is a classic. I should! I usually watch several. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, Home Alone 1 & 2, Elf, and Bad Santa. Don’t forget Trading Places! Lol.

I do not have a favorite holiday movie. I will watch Scrooged (starring Bill Murray and Buster Poindexter) if I happen to run across it on the television. Also, I’d watch “Feast of the Seven Fishes” as I know some of the movie extras.

Okay… Maybe this is really weird, but I’m just not one to watch movies on Christmas. I will say, growing up, my family would gather around the tv to watch Miracle on 34th Street, on Christmas… I have always loved this movie and as an adult I know I’ve watched it at least a few times on or around Christmas. Also, growing up, I remember my family watching The Sound of Music
on or around Christmas. And I don’t know why I happened to watch these two particular movies on Christmas, but I did: Chocolat (Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp) and Moulin Rouge (Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor ) — I have a memory of watching these movies, on Christmas, as a one time deal. Maybe they just happened to be on tv? I don’t know? I do really like both of these movies but they are not my “go to” favorite Christmas movies. Like I said, I’m really not a “watching movies” on Christmas type of person. Does this make me weird? Maybe. LOL. Thanks again Julie for this awesome giveaway and for the opportunity. Happy Holidays!! 🎄❤️

The Holiday movie that I try to watch every year is Prancer. The little girl Jessie just tugs at my heart, she has so much goodness and belief in the goodness of people. It’s heart warming and also sad. Her father played by Sam Elliott os very gruff , but means well.

Sacred Trinity

THE DANGER IN THE DAMAGE

A soldier searching for redemption.
A man addicted to control.
And the woman caught between them…

Ean Shephard knows trouble when he sees it and Olive Creed is the kind of trouble that can burn his whole world down. As Collin Creed’s baby sister, she’s completely off-limits. But her quiet strength, combined with her sad vulnerability, keeps pulling him closer. Shep came to Edge Security to escape his past, but falling for Olive could ruin his second chance and the fragile peace he’s fought so hard to find.

Brose Sinclair has always played the long game. He and Olive are more than just partners inside the shadow organization they both work for, they’re lovers. His absolute authority keeps her on track and Olive likes it that way. But her sudden attraction to their target threatens everything they’ve worked for and for the first time, Brose finds himself questioning whether control is enough to keep Olive by his side.

Olive Creed has spent her life learning to play her role perfectly. She can’t afford to mess up. Not with Brose watching her every move, looking for mistakes. Mistakes she sometimes makes on purpose just to spur on his titillating punishment. But as she starts to fall for her target and her world begins to crumble beneath her feet, Olive finds herself wondering—which one of these two men would truly be there in her darkest hour?

Brose—the one who owns her mind?

Or Shep—the one who wants her heart?

The Danger in the Damaged is a battlefield of betrayal and control, where loyalty is a weapon and obsession takes no prisoners. It’s a best-friend’s-little-sister romance caught in the crossfire of dark secrets and mind games—and this time, Collin Creed isn’t the one calling the shots.

Inside the pages you’ll find…

Enemies to Lovers
Best Friend’s Sister
Power Dynamics
Forbidden Love
Dark Protector
Forced Proximity
