If you’re new to this – here’s how it works:
1. Each day from December 1 through December 12 I will put up a new giveaway HERE on my website with instructions on how to enter, a detailed description of the prize, and some stuff about the book or series. Each giveaway is different and each has ONE WINNER. MY GIVEAWAYS ARE ALWAYS OPEN INTERNATIONAL
2. Each giveaway runs UNTIL DECEMBER 13.
3. Winners are CHOSEN and NOTIFIED on December 14. I will be notifying winners USING THE EMAIL USED TO COMMENT ON THIS BLOG – and all winners will BE LISTED AT THE TOP OF EACH GIVEAWAY POST HERE ON MY WEBSITE on December 14.
4. Winners have 24 hours to respond, then another winner will be chosen.
5. ALL PRIZES WILL BE MAILED ON DECEMBER 15. If I’m waiting on a winner to respond and they miss the December 15 mail date, that prize will be mailed when I get around to it. I live in the middle of nowhere so a trip to the post office is a “thing” for me. 🙂 So make sure you’re checking for winners on the 14th.
6. I will send newsletters announcing giveaways on December 1, December 6, December 12, and a Winner newsletter on December 14. I NEVER send this many newsletters in a month so sorry if that feels spammy.
7. You can also FOLLOW MY BLOG. I will also make a blog post HERE announcing ALL WINNERS on the 14th. If you want to follow this blog there will be a form at the bottom of each post to do that. Then you get an email when I POST HERE. I don’t do that often – December is the exception because of the 12 Days and my yearly “Wrap-up” post.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
THAT’S IT! I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY THIS!
The world is INSANE right now so I’m just trying to spread some cheer and give back to all of you who support me and enjoy the stories I create.

TODAY’S BOOK HIGHLIGHT IS BLOOD LOVERS
Dark Paranormal Romance
The Devil craves beauty. Even in himself.
The vampire will make magnificent promises and I will say yes.
The man I give my heart to will steal my soul.
Syrsee
My grandma gave me these words of wisdom just before she died.
Then she told me to run.
Because if the old witch is dying, then he needs a new one.
And that’s me.
This is my curse.
I am the vampire’s power.
I am the vampire’s strength.
I am the vampire’s food.
And he is very, very hungry.
Ryet
I hate him, but I crave him.
I want to be rid of him, but I also want him next to me.
I want to feed on him and sometimes I dream about him feeding on me.
It feels like a trick. Like abuse.
Like Stockholm syndrome.
But it’s not. It’s just… the blood.
I am the vampire’s scion.
I am the vampire’s slave.
I am the vampire’s future.
And he will never let me go.
Paul
I am the vampire.
Once you make a deal with me, it’s done.
There’s no going back.
Once I bite my lip—
Once I bare my teeth—
Once I let it drip—
He’s mine.
She’s mine.
And together we are blood lovers.
Blood Lovers is a dark, seductive journey into a world where the blood runs black, the dreams are purple, and the demons aren’t just dangerous, they’re beautiful.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WINTER OR INDOOR HOBBY?
MY ANSWER
I’m not actually a ‘winter hater’ but I don’t have winter hobbies like skiing or snowboarding. Despite living in Colorado. So I don’t think I actually have a winter or indoor hobby. But I do have winter chores around the ranch–which might as well be a winter sport.
But I do love BOOTS! Fluffy boots, mostly comfy boots. I really, really love winter boots. So I’m gonna say that winter boots are my hobby and I am actually sad when it gets too warm to wear them again in the spring.
HERE’S A SNEAK PEEK OF TOMORROW’S GIVEAWAY!

Reading and crafting
My favorite thing to do in the winter is crochet. I just finished one off a broomstick.
Mine favorite thing to do in winter would be hot cocoa and a great book…. Even though I did have a great time when we went ice skating and tubing down an ice slide when we took our son to a local winter wonderland… I’m sure if my husband ever gets us to take a trip yo Colorado where he grew up- trying to ski my be in our future. Lol
My favorite winter or indoor hobby is reading, Coming in second is cooking and baking.
Skiing ⛷️ is my favorite winter hobby!! Also LOVE a good hockey game….go Bruins
My winter/indoor hobbies are reading, scrapbooking & crafting.
Staying onside and reading 🙂
should say inside
Baking cookies
I’m a figure skater for life. My favorite sound is the hiss of a sharp blade cutting the ice.
I love to do scrapbooking and puzzles. If I’m outdoors, then I like to go for walks.
Absolutely not a winter person. Moved from Midwest to SoCal to get away from winter. If there’s snow involved count me out. Indoor hobby is gonna be a nap and I do jigsaw puzzles on iPad. I listen to audible so I’m multitasking.
I’m weird I love to ski but I hate the snow and cold. If they could keep it to the ski slopes I’d be much happier.
My favorite Winter indoor hobby is baking Christmas treats. My favorite winter Outdoor hobby is to feed wild birds. Both of these activities are fun.
I recently started to enjoy puzzles. It’s a bit obsessive at times. But, I also can listen to my JA Huss audiobooks at the same time!
My favorite hobby is to read by my fake fireplace. I hope for one day of snow so I can watch it too. I’m not talented enough to any arty type activities.
Love to bake and read when I can
I don’t really have a winter hobby. I just read more when it’s cold outside.
I’m trying crafting this year and so far I love it.
Living on the ocean in SoCal means winters bring the cold mostly at night. I absolutely love it. I love snugging in a soft, fuzzy blanket with a book and tea. I love the single light turned on to read by in the early dark. I love fuzzy slippers and warm pajamas. Such a great break from the heat of the rest of the year. It’s like a hobby to go with my favorite reading hobby!
My favorite winter hobbies are reading and making cards, but what I would much rather do is go somewhere warm and be outside. LOL.
My favorite indoor hobby is reading. Yeah, I know it’s kinda pedestrian to say so but there is nothing quite like curling up with a good book when it’s harsh outside.
Thanks xx
If I do anything in the snow- sledding would be it. As long as there is a lift to take me back up! Lol
I hate the cold weather. Fortunately I live in Naples FL so we don’t get too much cold weather. But I love to read and when the weather is bad I’m indoors reading a good book.
Born in England, immigrated to Canada I never quite got the cold weather thing. Tried x country skiing and even winter camping (YUCK ) but my favourite winter hobby is vacationing in the South .
Love going indoors ice skating and driving through the city to see all the Christmas lights and displays.
Curling up with a nice fire & a good book!
I love baking cookies in the winter, especially on snow days! Warming the house with good smells and sweet treats to eat at the end is perfect.
I love to read, especially in winter. Always feels good to get lost in a good book!
I actually live in the south so we don’t get Midwest to northern winter, which I love. My favorite indoor activity is reading or baking.
I hate winter. I have arthritis, so it hurts my body with all the cold. So, my favorite winter holiday is doing diamond painting when I am not reading or editing for the authors that I work for.
Staying inside where it is warm and reading while drinking hot chocolate
I am not. Big winter lover..as long as the snow stays away I still try and walk outside day otherwise use my treadmill. But in the winter I like to try out new recipes, casseroles, stews, soups and use my family as Guinea pigs to try them all.
I’ve lived in tropical environments my whole life, but when it gets colder or inclement, I love making warm drinks… Mexican hot chocolate, mulled wine, Irish coffee. Collecting those recipes and making them for myself and others could be considered my “winter” hobby.
Reading, cooking and sometimes coloring!
Reading is my favorite winter, spring, summer and fall activity lol!
I don’t have a hobby really. I’m terrified of bugs and it’s so nice to be able to go outside and not be attacked by horrible little creatures 😂 It’s great that there’s no flies and wasps around the horses. I hate being cold but it’s worth it to go outside in peace 😅
My favorite indoor hobby is reading. I don’t have a favorite outdoor hobby in the winter. I’m not an outdoorsy person.
My cold weather go to is reading, but to keep active I go to the Y twice a week to swim in the heated indoor pool. It reminds me of summer
I love to sew! I sew dresses for little girls. I’m not an outdoors winter person. I can’t stand the cold. My cats don’t like it or my car. I am a summer beach person.
I’m not so much a fan of winter so I don’t have many hobbies for the next how many ever months. I do delight in watching my kids sled & the enjoyment they get out of it so I guess watching others sled is my hobby lol!
Reading, always reading 🙂 I hate the cold so it’s the perfect excuse to stay inside
Long and slow dinners. Let the home smell so good, anticipating meals after a cold day. The added warmth of the oven being on, if the crock pot is resting that day.
I’m not really a winter person but if it’s not too cold I like walking around after a snowfall to see the untouched snow
Riding 4-wheelers on our property. BBQing and bonfires. Thank you for the chance. Merry Christmas 🎄
Not a cold weather person so fav winter hobby is staying warm.. Buying new blankets and/or pajamas to wrap myself in … finding new soup recipes to warm my soul and reading romance books to warm my heart..
Reading is my jam in the winter, preferably by the fire
I love winter! Favorite thing is walking when it’s snowing. The world gets so quiet. For hobbies I bake, cook, read…😂
I love to do crafts with my niece! Reading and watching old movies.
Well, reading! Duh! lol But other than that, watching hockey! 🙂
My favorites are reading, sewing, cross stitching, and diamond paintings.
I’m not a fan of cold weather, however my favorite hobby is being able to sit with a book and get lost in the story.
Reading and wearing warm comfy socks
I am not a winter fan but I love to look at the snow but unfortunately it doesn’t snow a lot where I live and I would love to learn how to ski 😊
I love snuggling on the couch with my puppies and watching movies with my family.
Just reading is my hobby , I don’t know how to sew or knit, sometimes I wish I did!
This one is easy, sitting up in bed listening to audiobooks while playing games, surfing internet, looking for new audiobooks or authors or just listening while staring out the window.
My favorite hobby is reading. Of course I participate all year long.
I really used to enjoy cross-stitch, but I really can’t do that anymore because my eyesight is too poor. Oh well, I’ll just keep reading and appreciating audiobooks
I read all year round, don’t like going out if it’s too cold, prefer to stay in with the log burner going as it warms my whole cottage. I do a lot of knitting, got a pattern for a Christmas Wreath I’m going to start next, also catch up on indoor jobs as I’ve spent summer in the garden ❤️
I don’t have a winter hobby. I lived in rural North Dakota for almost 14 years, and now I live on the Southern Coast of Oregon. I’m done with winter – the freezing cold, the ice, and the snow. 😂 Our winter here is the rainy season. The coldest it ever gets is 35 at night. The hottest it ever gets is 80, and both temps are rare to reach. But I digress . . . My winter hobby is . . . 🤔 . . . reading more.
I LOVE WINTER!!! I love walking in the snow. The first snowfall of the season I would walk in it at night. It was just beautiful. Quiet and peaceful. When my youngest daughter was old enough to go, she went with me. Then we’d continue to walk all winter. Now my granddaughter loves the snow too. Such special memories. Now I live in Florida and miss it. Someday I’ll go back to Illinois. I might be too old by then to walk in it but I’ll have a chair right by the window to enough it. ❄️❄️❄️❄️
My favorite indoor activity is horticulture. I really love making wreaths and centerpieces for the holidays out of evergreen branches. I also LOVE spending time with my daughter and her Girl Scout troop. I’m a scout mom and co-leader and our troop is booming during winter! We get so many projects and badge work done when it’s cold out. Once the weather is nice, the girls are off and impossible to herd into a meeting!
My winter hobby would be creating chore lists for kiddos to do over their Christmas break. They generally hate me while I’m making them do the chores, especially my youngest teenager who has adhd, but afterwards they love how their bedrooms are neat and tidy going into the next school term.
Sitting by the fire 🔥 and reading. Or doing puzzles with the kids
I like crafting… I have a cricut.. and reading. Merry Christmas 🎄
My favorite winter hobby is hibernation.
Reading is my indoor hobby all year.
We snowmobile in northern Wisconsin during the winter months
I’m obsessed with warm, fun socks. I collect and wear all kinds in the winter. I’m not into crafts or baking. I love my socks.
I’m a summer girl, so winter and I have a love-hate relationship. The cold, dark, dreary makes me want to hibernate. I’m thinking my winter hobby is sleeping. 😴 💤
In Arkansas we don’t get enough snow to really develop a winter hobby. I do love to go camping when it’s cold and sit around a campfire.
Turning the fireplace on and cuddling under a blanket
I love seeing the snow but hate being out in it. So mostly my wintertime consists of drinking hot cocoa with marshmallows and reading. It’s harder to do now since moving to southern Arizona. But the nights are getting chilly here this months so that helps. Thanks Julie ❄️
I really like to make quilts, also baking, and like to read every night
You had me at “boots.” 🙂 I do spend most of my winter time indoors if I can (although I do like hiking in the snow) but when I venture out it’s always in boots. I bring them out in Autumn and will wear one pair or another, until spring is almost over. LOL
When it’s really cold & blustery outside, I love to cuddle on the couch & eat popcorn & watch a movie with my hubby. I do enjoy going to play in the snow for a few hours but afterward, I want to cuddle up & get cozy!
Doing “nothing” lol. Which usually involves watching TV, scrolling on my computer/tablet. I’m “boring” 😂
I love to sew and color.
Where I live we don’t really have winter hobbies, it’s too warm. But I do like wearing winter clothes, hoodies sweaters, etc.
Reading and crafting
I sing with an a cappella choir. So my favourite past-time in winter is singing with them, especially at Christmas.
I love curling up with a book, blanket, and warm drink.
Diamond painting and reading
I love to snuggle up in bed or on the couch with a soft comfy blanket and watch movies
I really don’t have a hobbies that I just do in the winter but I love reading so I do that all year
Thanks
Martha L
Living in South GA means not having much of a winter. We only have MAYBE 2 months of really cold weather, for the most part it’s just hot here. There’s not really any winter things to do here unless it’s Christmas time. I do love winter clothes more than summer clothes though but we don’t have much chance to wear them 😂
Hmm. Well, considering i’m very vulnerable to the cold of the winters here in canada 🥶, i generally spend most of indoors. And for the most part, I enjoy reading and crafting with music on. Although atm, I’m mostly just working on getting this house in better order. For the new year. Because come the new year, i’m gonna be trying hard to get my online business up and running. And getting my writing routine/ritual down so i can get myself into better shape mentally, if not physically. Thanks for asking such a good question. Happy Holidays! 🎄💕
Reading and going to the movies.
I don’t have any winter activities either – I’ve never been skiing or anything like that despite being in western WA and close enough to do so. I like to read, like always, but in the winter it’s in fuzzy socks and bundled up with cocoa 🙂
In door honey is going to be just reading. I love winter…it is my favorite time of year, but living in SE Texas we don’t have much of a winter. I grew up in Kansas so I’m used to actual winter. I miss a good old snow day where you can’t do anything but stay inside under a blanket and read or watch a movie.
I enjoy reading and baking.
My favorite winter hobby is reading or listening to music, sitting in my recliner, snuggle up with my dogs
I love to sit in front of a roaring fireplace, wearing my pyjamas, reading a good romance and drinking a hot chocolate with marshmallows. (Only in my dreams, I’m afraid). I don’t have a real fireplace.
Reading of course but if I need to add more…….baking!
I prefer winter to summer and I tend to craft more. So I guess making things for the holidays. I also tend to read more. I snuggle into bed earlier during winter which means more reading time.
My favourite winter hobby is knitting wollen socks. I don’t knit anything else, just them and I donate many pairs to charity and to friends and family of course.
We don’t experience snow on this side of the world, but my favourite indoor hobby is snuggling under a blanket with a good book.
My favorite winter hobby (and sometimes year round hobby) is scrapbooking. I have volumes of beautiful memories showcasing our family and friends.
Indoor hobby is painting and crafts, reading and movies
My favorite indoor winter hobby is reading!
Winter or not find me indoors with a good book or crafting!
Honestly I’m not a winter person either. Most of the time I’m working out in the snow. When it’s cold out I find myself doing puzzles and reading more. So I guess that’s a hobby
My favorite would be reading and crocheting
My favorite thing to do on a cold day is stay in with the grandbabies and have a hot chocolate movie day.
The only thing I enjoy about winter is wearing all my fun sweaters. I live in Phoenix so winter here is more like fall in other places. I also enjoy all the extra family time with so much time off. Thanks!
I live in the Mid-South and our winters are chilly and wet with at least one ice storm every year. I occupy my time with word games, puzzles, crossstich, and reading when the weather is too yucky to get out. But the hobby I enjoy most is my Disney/ Mickey Mouse collection. Just being surrounded by the hundreds of Disney themed items I’ve collected over the past 40 years brings me great joy! When we do happen to get more than a couple inches of snow, I make the most of it by building a snowman and make snow angels. ☃️
I gave up skiing, but I read, crochet, latch hook, and do puzzles. I love to listen to audiobooks while doing puzzles!
I’m not much of an outdoor lover in general but did used to love skating in the winter. These days I just stay inside and read and craft
Indoor reading of course but if I’m outside the ice skating is fun whether indoors or outside
Hot chocolate, mallows, cream and a good book in front of a fire 🌲
Reading dancing, and listening to music are what I like to do in the winter.
Reading, reading and more reading. When I’m not reading I’m loving on my three dogs!
I can’t tolerate the cold any more. My favorite winter hobby is staying bundled up inside reading.
winter activity – shoeshoeing
indoor – reading
Reading thanks for the chance
I’ve been learning to do acrylic paintings. It can be really relaxing as well as really frustrating lol
I love contesting!
I get cold easily, so winter is my least favorite season. The only “hobbit” I have is baking. It warms the house, and I love cakes, cookies, and breads! I spend a lot of time reading on the couch with a blanket and watching movies.
Reading is my number one hobby and listening to audio but I like knitting and it’s great when you finish something a proud moment you created something x
I was going to say crafting because it’s my year round hobby, but after I get my Christmas orders done I like to knit. I also picked up diamond painting last year after Christmas and I enjoy that. It’s very relaxing and I don’t have to think while I’m doing it.
I love Ski-jumping. All my weekends are reserved for reading and watching the Ski-jumping games.
I like driving around to see the decorations.
Reading is the only hobby that I have.
I love decorating the house for the holidays and baking holiday treats 🙂
Reading which is really just year-round.
I actually like winter. I love when it snows, which only happens a few times during the winter here in Tennessee. I love cuddling up in my chair, under my soft fuzzy blanket with a book and my cat cuddled in my lap. Which is what I am doing now. We don’t have any snow here cause its 67°, but we are under a tornado watch until like 7pm. Fun times!
Living in Georgia we rarely get snow but I don’t like the cold dreary days so I stay in and read and cook. I like to find new recipes or make some favorites that I don’t have time to make when it’s warm and I’m outside as much as possible.
I guess I read more in the winter but I read year round. I do more hand stitching in the winter since i’m inside more than the other seasons.
Having a cup
Of hot chocolate and binging my favorite book series. Thanks for the opportunity!
I love cozing up with a warm blanket and a good book.
For us it is playing lots of board games and Yahtzee! I still do a lot of reading in the winter as well.
Best time of year for hiking in AZ. Also love to sew.
I like to watch movies and read☘️
I don’t really have time for hobbies in the winter. I dispatch for a towing company so winter means the phone ringing nonstop pretty much.
My favorite winter hobby is avoiding the outdoors at all costs! 🙂 I like to keep warm indoors with books, baking, and creative projects.
Hockey! We watch on TV, go to games and even try to play, minus the skates lol, with the kids.
My winter hobby is the same as every season. We don’t get much winter weather in the south. I like to read, sew, crossstitch, ect.
I don’t like winter, this is why I moved from Chicago to Florida. To cope with seasonal depression disorder, I would play guitar and sing my favorite songs, something dance. Music is magic IMO.
Soup making. I love soups in the winter and finding new recipes. Living in AZ, I don’t make soups in the summer. 😉
When I’m not reading I like to crochet and make gifts for family members and friends.
I would say being cozy by the fireside with a warm beverage but, we have no fireplace, ha! I guess my favorite winter activity is staying out of the snow, lol!!!
My favourite indoor hobby is reading and watching tiktok videos.
Puzzles while listening to audiobooks.
Not a fan of winter but I love chilling under warm blankets…the fuzzier the better, hot cup of apple cider and watching movies…
Love snowshoeing around our property. We usually find deer, rabbit and sometimes wolf tracks!
Reading under a ton of blankets!
Well, clearly, it’s reading. But for some variety, I greatly prefer outdoor activities, but if I had to pick something indoors, it would be watching movies with my husband while snuggling with our dogs with a fire going.
In SC “winter” usually comes a few days at a time, with moderate weather in between. No specific hobbies associated.
I do an extreme amount of baking and reading!!!❤️
Sitting around the fire and reading. I get to read more in the winter since I do a lot of outdoor winter things.
My favorite winter hobby is making Christmas ornaments with my loved ones.
I like to curl up and read when I’m not coaching hockey.
Crafting!!
Watching movies and drinking hot chocolate
Oh dear. I amabout to show myself up…my favourite indoor activity during winter, if I not reading, is knitt6blankets for friends and family I go for bright colours, which work for the gifted, bringing colour into the darker months..and keep my lap warm in the process!!
Puzzles, and of course- reading! The more Hygge I can make my home for these indulgent activities, the better.
Ive been such a slacker….. well my favorite winter activity has changed over the year. I grew up in Alaska and I liked the snow, playing and sledding but not much else, so reading was my fun in the bay window with a hot tea ( I wasn’t a coffee drinker back then). Now, that I live in California, I actually like going to the beach in the winter, the waves are great and it is colder (sometimes) and it doesn’t smell like seaweed. The other winter activity we do and I love it a lot in riding around the desert in out UTV.
My indoor hobby all year round is knitting!
i have to say that reading is my winter hobby but also crocheting
I like doing puzzles especially in the winter.
I enjoy snuggling up in my bed with my electric blanket, cats, and either a good book or something good on television.while drinking some hot cocoa or tea.
Having always lived in the deep south (north Alabama and North Carolina) it’s summer and/or two degrees from h3ll hot for 9 plus months of the year, so I LOVE winter. My favorite indoor winter hobby is snuggling under a lap blanket while crocheting and reading. Also making up new soup and stew recipes to warm us from the inside out.
Baking, reading and playing word games.
Reading of course. But if I couldn’t say reading it would be Diamond painting
My winter hobby is still the same for the rest of the year…..I sing in my church choir, and I do that year round with the requisite rehearsals!
Reading is my favorite indoor hobby!!
Living in SoCal there isn’t a winter like in the mountains, but it does get cold. My favorite hobby is a combination of things and goes like this – a fire in the fireplace, a great bottle of wine, a warm blanket and my journal or a book. “Wintering” for reflection and rest.
I would have to say baking for my friends and family. I have been told my infamous banana bread is exceptional and having a top secret recipe makes it more delicious. 😂
Reading, cooking, and baking while listening to some good music.
I am not one for outdoor activities- even living in Montana and now Colorado-skiing doesn’t sound fun- more like a way to break something. I do like to ice skate but don’t do it very often. My favorite hobby is reading and working with my dogs. Show dogs take a lot of training.
Unfortunately I’m not that interesting, I enjoy sorting (organizing) my kitchen, recipes and baking. I can bake a mean snickerdoodle but I can’t make a meatloaf even if my life depends on it.
I love to read covered in a warm blanket.
Years ago I used to ski but not anymore. Now it’s reading or watching something good on TV.
Reading and hanging out with my friends.
Reading by the fire while Christmas movies are on.
I’m not a winter person, I want my summer back. Lol During winter, I can be found in my she shed, listening to a book while playing a game on my tablet, or reading a book. If the book is something I’ve been waiting to read for a while, I put a note on the door that warns of harm to anyone that interrupts my reading. Lol lol. I don’t watch TV and I only play in the snow, if I have my grandkids over. Other than that, I don’t do much in the winter.
Puzzles or reading books ! Of course reading is my hobby 365 days a year!
I don’t actually have any winter hobbies. But I do love reading on the early dark nights, my fluffy tote socks and a big cardigan big enough to for 2 of me in LOL. Thank you so much 😘happy holidays🤶🎅⛄💗
Reading. I used to cross country ski, but not for a number of years
My favorite hobby any time of year is reading. It really is the only thing I love to do.
I love to do jigsaw puzzles
My fave indoor hobby is needlepoint.
Mostly it’s audiobook listening but recently I’ve been watching YouTube video reactions, ha. Whether it’s songs, movie trailers or anything. It’s quite fun seeing how people react to different things.
Not one who enjoys being outdoors in the cold anymore, I have to go with playing board or card games inside next to a cozy fireplace
Is holiday decorating a hobby? Decorating the tree, the yard, gift wrapping , and gingerbread house decorating .
Reading and watching old TV shows
Reading!
Crocheting and binge watching tv
skiing
Winter is not my favorite season because I don’t like cold weather. I live in Louisiana so we don’t get snow every year. I’m like you I do love wearing my boots. As far as hobbies go I would have to say reading even though that’s my hobby year round. I also like going to look at Christmas lights and take pictures of the beautiful lights.
My favorite indoor hobby is knitting and crocheting, especially in the winter.
I love to snuggle in my winter clothing, paint, stained glass, baking, and to play games with my kids. We enjoy the winter months together as a family time.
oh for sure reading… nothing better than a snowstorm, snuggle blanket and a great book
Several ankle injuries and surgeries have limited my winter hobby activities, but I do enjoy visiting the mountains in the winter. I may not be able to ski or skate anymore, but the scenery is amazing, and I like curling up with a book and a great view or strolling through quaint mountain towns in comfy boots (I do *really* love my winter boots). We actually took a winter vacation to Alaska a few years ago, and while I wasn’t able to ski with the family, I was able to hike a glacier and enjoy a snowmobile excursion. It was a pretty magical experience.
Honestly, my indoor hobby is reading. I read about 100 books per year. Outdoors, During the winter it’s mostly nice to sit outside (till the mosquitoes come out). I have a strong dislike for Summer. The winter gives us breezes, low 40-50 at night & 60’s or very few mid 70’s.
I simply love to read
I don’t really have a winter hobby. I live in Atlanta, GA so we don’t get a lot of snow here. I’m not big on really cold weather either, so I stay inside when it’s too cold.
Listen to audio books- crochet- mosaic
I do like to shovel the snow – and get cozy in the house and read.
Outdoor: My son and I love to hike, no matter the weather. We hail from Michigan, so we get lots of snow and ice! But there’s just something so magical about trekking through the snow in a state park and stopping suddenly to listen to….nothing. Everything is crisp, clean and quiet.
Indoor: My family does puzzles in the winter. We each have a table set up the our own puzzle on it. If you get stuck on your puzzle you can jump into someone’s puzzle until your inspired (or someone else fitted the pieces that annoyed you) to return to your own puzzle. It’s like a group project. The only “rule” we have is that if you’re working on someone else’s puzzle and there’s just that last piece left, you leave it for the person whose puzzle it is. They put in the final piece to their own puzzle.
My favorite indoor hobby is reading for sure!!
I’m in a wheelchair so I don’t do any outdoor activities especially in winter. But I love to read, do craft’s, look after my grandchildren, or do puzzles inside.
I’m not a winter person at all, so I stay inside as much as possible. I hangout in my she shed listening to a book, while playing a game on my tablet, or reading a book. If it’s a new book, I put a note on the door, warning others to stay away and let me read! Lol
I’m definitely not a winter person so no winter hobbies here. I will read, listen to audiobooks and listen to music. I love puzzles so I’ll do more puzzles during winter but that’s the extent of my winter extracurricular activities.
So reading is probably my biggest hobby. However I also like to go swimming to keep my body moving.
I love putting puzzles together, reading, and…running. I actually run all year. But I love when there is a cool, crisp, 45° day. Those set the stage for the best runs.
Reding is my biggest hobby year round.
Living in sunny Miami, there isn’t much to enjoy in the way of winter activities, but “winter”–that’s another story! Lol. Sitting on my 8th – floor balcony when it’s cool is my favorite activity, especially with a hot beverage and a good book.
It is a continuation of my regular hobby. I do wildlife photography so when it is nice out, I got out. When it is too cold or dreary I process photos.
I think I’m part bear, I prefer to hibernate in cold weather. This is also my excuse to stay in and read. I also knit and crochet. I listen to audio books while I knit/crochet also.
Love coloring, painting, and obviously reading. I’ve gotten my niece into it as well
Here in Australia, our winters aren’t bad enough that we need indoor winter hobbies, but I love to watercolour paint, I am not very good but I love doing it anyway.
Mine is definitely reading.
My favorite winter hobby is canvas painting. But I have a toddler (she is a tornado) and she has been making it increasingly more difficult to do until she gets older.
Ehhh, we don’t really have “winter” here in Southern Nevada. When our boys were young, we’d drive out of town to Mt. Charleston where it snows and we’d go sledding and then before we left we’d build a snowman in the bed of our truck and drive home (we’d get people honking and laughing all the way home) then we’d push the snowman out onto the driveway and the boys would spread the snow out and the neighborhood kids would all come running and play in the snow until it melted away. Nowadays winter is no different than any other season, it just gets a little bit colder. I grew up in New York where we had blizzards and freezing weather so I do miss wearing the fuzzy warm boots. Maybe when we retire we’ll move to a place that gets snow again and I’ll be able to boots again.
Born and raised in Iowa you would think I would like or be used to cold and snowy months, but I don’t like winter. My favorite indoor hobbies are reading and watching movies. For Mother’s Day my oldest child came out to see me and her present to me was a crochet hook and yarn. Yes, that kid taught an old dog a new trick. I have crocheted 4 full-sized blankets. It relaxes me so much. I haven’t learned anything but the double crochet stitch, but I will get there.
Mine is reading. I love to grab my fluffy blanket, a hot cup of chai tea, and snuggle up with my dog and just get lost in a book.
Reading is my indoor winter hobby
With my RA I don’t have any winter hobbies. Me and the cold weather don’t mix well. I like to stay indoors, keep warm and read a good book.
I love to read and color!!!
I love reading by the fire or simply watching the snow fall
I love to read and cooking. Thanks so much.
Puzzles on a snowy day!
My favorite hobby, any time of year, is to read! But, if I had to pick another hobby I’d say cross-stitch. I don’t do it as often as I’d like, and I go through phases where I’ll work on my cross stitch project for a few weeks and then not pick it up again for a few months so it takes me forever to finish anything, but I do enjoy it when I finally finish.
This is where I get to call my compulsive organizing a “hobby”. 😂
If I’m stuck inside here in Southern California it’s usually because of winds, fires or both and it’s more common than you may think. Today we have both and I’m tearing through storage boxes and listing things on ebay.
Getting the house back in tip top shape!!!! During the warmer weather I’m constantly outside in the sun!!!! I garden, read and just enjoy watching nature all day! I keep my house picked up and presentable but the closets and hidden places are total chaos!😂But if its nice out I’m not staying in. Merry Christmas to you and yours!💋💕
I love doing jigsaw puzzles all winter!
Reading, puzzles, crafting, and complaining about how long winter is. 😁
My favorite winter i for hobby is reading a book and drinking some hot cocoa
My favorite winter hobby is ice skating and sledding. I haven’t done other since I was a child, but I actually love getting out in the cold and snow. It’s too hot, humid, and rainy where I live nowdays.
My favorite winter hobby is baking. I love to make cakes, cookies, pastries and pies in the winter.
I hate winter so the only thing I really enjoy is snuggling under a blanket with some hot chocolate and a book.
It’s not so much a winter hobby as it is a year-round hobby–reading. Great when the weather is good or bad, hot or cold.
This one is easy! Sit down by the fire with a nice comforter, read a book and drink either hot cocoa or mulled wine. Love it. Perfect winter for me.
I love boots as well love ones that come up over my calf and love sweater weather!!! But I do enjoy just staying warm with hot cocoa or a good tea reading a book
My favorite indoor hobby is binge watching a show with a glass of wine or two. 😉
Reading and baking
If watching the snow fall is a winter Hobbie than that is mine. ❄️ I love the first snow of the year and get so excited for it. My kids and I will go out and catch snowflakes and then make cookies and hot chocolate. 😋 So, I guess you can say, I am a Snow Watcher!! ❄️
My favorite indoor/winter hobby is drinking hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows along with reading and writing for fun.
I love to bake this time of the year. I don’t cook much, my husband usually cooks but I love to bake. The sweets call to me in the winter.
I love sledding or having hot cocoa while reading under a snuggly blanket
Reading
When it’s cold outside, I like to bundle up in my favorite blanket and watch a movie trilogy or listen to a book. I’m not outdoorsy even when it’s warm so I don’t have any of those hobbies.
Reading and my counted cross stitch.
entering contests 😉 but my goal is to make dishwasher safe stickers with my cricut
Reading that is my favorite thing to do I love getting lost in a book 📚 🥰
Reading and baking and just staying home.
Indoor Reading of course.
Merry Christmas 🎄
Reading and baking with my young daughter. It gets too hot here in the summer to bake so as soon as the weather starts to cool off we usually start baking up a storm
Mine is definitely to curl up with a warm blanket and relax! Could be playing video games, could be reading a book or watching TV, those are bonuses. But curling up with a warm blanket with no where to go, my fav!
I love shoes of all kinds!! Boots are awesome in the winter but we have a very short winter. I usually work on some sort of project since the days or so short.
Definitely reading ! That’s a big hobby of mine 📚📚📚
Outdoor sledding
Indoor reading and watching football.
Reading
Just reading a good book by my fireplace.
I love winter!! Excited to curl up with a good book, comfy blanket, and iced coffee on my off day tomorrow!
I live in Wisconsin and I don’t do any of the outdoor winter sports.
My hobby is reading and writing…year round.
making crystal bracelets is my favorite winter hobby.
Reading is my year round hobby, but in the winter I go to lots of basketball games-my niece plays in high school and my nephew plays in college. We usually have a huge amount of family members in the gym!
Apart from reading I do like to knit.
I’m with you Julie! Boots and sweaters are totally me winter hobby.
My favorite indoor hobby is creating art.
I love finding Christmas craft ideas and put my own personal touch on them by reusing or repurposing items I already have. I have made mini triangular wooden trees with strings of microLED lights, bulbs & recycled decor; turned a vintage wooden children’s sled into a decorative piece on our porch just to name a few. I love the festive spirit of the holidays and this always makes me happy.
If I’m not cooking meals for the freezer, I’m crocheting. My husband is the best fed hunter around. All of the meals he takes to camp are homemade from the freezer. He starts asking me a month before hunting starts the different things he wants. It always includes lasagna, stuffed shells and meatballs.
Favorite winter or indoor hobby? Mine is really an all year round indoor hobby/ activity. I knit. I knit while reading, while watching tv, while riding in the car, etc. I make different sizes of afghans for the animals at our local shelter. It takes about a week or two depending on the size. That’s about all I do.
My husband and I do lots of outdoor activities. We live near the mountains so if it’s a nice sunny day we’ll go for a small hike even in the snow. I love comfy fluffy boots!!! I have several pairs too! We do like to ski but we’re much more Mello now that we’re older. Our favourite though is heading to our local gym to play badminton! Although some days we get much too competitive lol once again thank you so very much for the chance!❤️📚🎄
My winter hobby is curling up with a book and watching the bad weather from inside.
My favorite winter hobbies are reading and baking. I enjoy ice skating but as I age I find that I am valuing the health and safety of my ankles more and more!
I absolutely hate the cold! So I’m not big on outdoor winter hobbies. However, I do love to knit scarves so this is a great time for that!
Hi Julie, prior to this year I worked. Now that I am retired I believe I will go back to doing counted cross stitch and reading of course. Thank you again for this opportunity.
I love to bake cookies when it’s raining, I’m not sure why but I love it, not really a winter sports person and not a fan of snow even living in Missouri
Decluttering! I work on posting stuff for sale, cleaning out closets, donating, etc. Then my house is ready to go for Spring/Summer!
Favourite winter activity: winter hiking, and skiing. Indoor activity: READING, also knitting 😀
I have no favorite winter holiday, bur I spend a lot of time trying not to slip and fall on the ice and, of course, reading
I love reading! lol
But also doing crafts or coloring with my munchkin 🥰
I would love to say winter boots too! But probably books and series on TV. We watch all year, but winter comes and they nothing really ramp up!
We are a family of bowlers.
I don’t really have a winter hobby, but indoors I love to craft and read!
Downhill skiing, although I haven’t skied much in the last couple years. It’s been more of a challenge since my knee surgeries.
My favorite winter indoor sport is reading. I love to throw on my robe and knitted knee-high socks and snuggle down in my armchair or bed with a blanket. A good book and a hot cup of hot chocolate complete the package. ❤️
I love to read, crochet, and make jewelry. I found a new hobby in rock tumbling. I use the rocks to make jewelry.
I love reading
I love to color in my adult coloring books or play games .
My favorite hobby is painting ceramics and reading.
my favorite winter activity is ice skating.
I would say that I have two winter hobbies: quilting and avoiding snowblowing and shoveling the driveway. My poor mail carrier always has to plow through the unmanaged snow.
The more I learn about you … the more I’m shaking my head and grinning. There are really only 2 seasons: sandals and boots … I have a lot of both.
I hate the winter. I inherited terrible arthritis and I hurt a lot in the winter so my hobby is finding heat – I sit wrapped up in blankets in front of the big stone fireplace outside and I get in my hot tub a couple times a day.
No winter hobbies…. just stay warm!! And read!
Reading, of course! 😆 But being a basketball mom is a close second. I love watching my boy play. Here at home we have a wood burning stove that has a catalytic combustor. It’s a bit of maintenance and I find it comforting and therapeutic taking care of the stove, building fires, and all that that entails.
I live in Florida because I don’t like winter. My indoor hobby is crafting with my granddaughter. I’m not very good at it, but she is. It fun spending the days with her. If I’m alone I read.
My answer to this question is so predictable but my hobbies in Winter are my Hobbies all year around which is reading and listening to audiobooks.
It always has been..I used to draw alot but I am unable to do that anymore since fibromyalgia it effects my hands and I can’t even hold a pencil somedays and drawing is just impossible.

M6 favorite winter indoor activity is being curled up on the couch with my fuzzy blanket, hot tea, and my kindle!
Curling up under a blanket and reading!
I don’t do any winter sports and spend the cold days reading and making homemade desserts for friends that don’t cook or bake. Sometimes I will make wreaths for gifts. I used to sew and make clothes, but only do that occasionally now, since my main machine stopped working and only have an antique Singer Travel Sewing Machine. It works, but all the special attachments it has I’m not sure how to use them. Would love a new one with push buttons for all the pretty embellishments that you could think of to make things extra pretty. 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
My favorite winter hobby is reading by the fire. If it’s not icy and snowy, I do enjoy a winter walk.
I love to quilt and winter is a great time to do it. Nothing worse than a heavy quilt in your lap when it’s 90° ! Reading is also a great winter hobby…curled up under said heavy quilt!
I like to go snow tubing
Reading and crafting tons of things!
My favorite indoor hobbies are baking and reading
Doing puzzles
Born and raised in blustery, freezing Wisconsin, I hate the frigid cold. I don’t ski, snowboard, snow-shoe, ice skate etc. I do, however, love sitting in my room with the fireplace on reading and watching the snow fall. It’s beautiful when it comes down but wish it’d melt right away.
I like to snow shoe when it’s not too cold otherwise I like to make things on my Cricut machine
I used to love to ski but not so much anymore . I do love long winter walks, reading and jig saw puzzles.
Scrapbooking and reading.
My favorite winter hobby is also an indoor hobby. I love to snuggle with a blanket in my recliner and read.
I really dislike winter and the cold! Perhaps it is also because I don’t do any winter activities like ski, snowboarding, etc. My hobby is spending the winter wishing it was Spring or Summer. I’d really like to live in a semi tropical climate near the ocean or a large body of water.
Anything that isn’t outside in the cold. I do love watching my little girl make a small snowman on the porch every time it snows a lot.
My favorite winter hobby is making cookies and cupcakes
Does reading with hot tea or cocoa count? I spend lots of time making lists, designing a garden for spring and starting seeds early. I also try to clean out closets and storage areas to unclutter anything I can before spring planting season begins.
I will paint rooms and furniture if it’s not too cold.
My winter hobby is the same as my summer hobby – reading!!
Winter hobby… Shovelling snow? I like it for a while, but come February I’m over it. Indoor hobby would be genealogy or reading.
I love to do crafts & to bake cookies & pies
I love to get up to the mountains to cross country ski and snowshoe! It’s so peaceful and such a beautiful winter wonderland – and then I like to park myself in front of our fireplace with a book 😊
I live in Florida so it never feels like winter to me. I enjoy listening to audiobooks, podcasts or music while doing indoor & outdoor chores and diamond painting which is a year round thing for me.

Sitting by a fire raging
We get together with friends and we play cards and we just laugh and laugh because the cards will have you do something it’s soo funny and fun with friends we just love doing this.
There’s not much to do in Texas outdoors during the winter but my favorite indoor winter hobbie would probably be reading by the fireplace or puzzles by the fireplace.
My winter in-door hobby to do is sewing/crafting and watching Christmas movies! I will alot of time turn on one of Julies books and listen to it while I sew. It has to be something on at all times though, I don’t like silence at all! Weird I know🥰🥰
I don’t like to be cold, so my outdoor activities are relegated to the warmer months. This time of year, I spend my free time on the couch reading while I am covered with a nice warm fluffy blanket. Otherwise, I’m working on cross stitch or card making crafts.
My favorite indoor holiday hobby is reading romance and reviewing books when I can. Thanks so much for the chance!
Favorite indoor hobby is doing crafts for gifts and Baking.
The only thing I like about winter is its hockey season. It is the only sport I like to watch.
My favorite indoor hobby is reading and baking
I know it is not a great hobby, but when you can’t do anything else, I love watching the people sliding on the road on the news when it is icy. They tell you not to drive but people do it anyway and you feel for them but you can’t help but laugh sometimes.
I can’t really call it *my* hobby, but we just got into hockey for the first time this year and I have been loving watching them play. Go Avs!
Baking or jigsaw puzzles
Rewatching the Harry Potter movies haha
In my younger days I loved to ski. Anytime I could get away and get on the slopes was fantastic. Sledding in the back yards with the whole neighborhood gang was always a hoot. My Dad who was a fireman would grab a sled and ride the sled down the hill (to the firehouse) whenever the fire alarm went off.
But now in my 70’s and living in Florida, when the temperature dips down past 60 the only thing you see me doing is sitting in front of my electric fireplace reading my book.
I love to cross stitch!
My indoor hobbies are reading, entering contests and watching TV. My favorite activity, though, is spending time with my grandson.
I’m not a great baker, but I love it.🙈😅 Thanks for the chance!❤️
I like to crochet. I like walking outside just after the snow has stopped falling. I love seeing the snow on trees.
Winter is a good time for catching up on reading. I’m not much for outdoor activities in the cold
Reading is literally the only thing I do for myself, my kids have sports and so what little free time I get I escape into my own little world.
Listening to audio books, knitting or quilting.
I love to play with the dogs in the snow and take pictures.
I also read more in wintertime.
My favorite indoor activity is baking or crafting while listening to an audiobook.
I love to watch my Golden enjoying her first moments of a fresh snowfall .. burying her nose under the snow, rolling around on her back or sliding down the hill on her back as a sled( my fav).!
This might not be a real hobby but I enjoy Christmas shopping for myself and my little family.
Growing up I was that child that watched others open awesome gifts while I got socks or something generic.
Now I don’t want my kids to experience that so I like to buy something I think they will truly appreciate. I don’t spend lots of money because that single mom life but I don’t want them to feel what I used to feel and sometimes still feel.
My winter hobby is the same as my summer hobby Reading 📖 it really is my only hobby.
Besides reading, because that can be done all year long, I tend to kint and crochet in the winter time.
As a kid, I used to go cross country and down hill skiing. Now, I stay indoors, read and hibernate away from winter.

I’m not sure I can pick a single favorite? I love to read, watch crime documentaries, do jigsaw puzzles and plan my garden. I’m going to take up knitting and just be an old lady, lol.
The older I get the less I like the cold, so I don’t have any outside hobbies. Indoors would be snuggling under a warm blanket and reading or having a nap!😁

Well I used to paint kindness rocks but it’s been a while. I’d have to say watching football, listening to audiobooks or watching tv. Kinda boring right? 😂 🤷🏻♀️

I like puzzles
I don’t have any winter hobbies either. I would say reading, but I do that all year round!
I like reading and crafting. My mother in law used to bake tons of christmas cookies, but when she got Alzsheimer’s I had to take over. I’m not a big fan of cookies (I like cake better) but I love to try new chocolaty treats every year. Last year I made tons of Christmas Toffee, this year it will be caramelitas. Lots of calories :-), but they will be given away as presents.
Making jewelery

Love to do crafts, paint and puzzles, and color
I’m a winter gal. I love how quiet it is in the winter – the snow absorbing so much sound that the traffic noise is dimmed down, and the trees look beautiful coated with fresh fallen snow or even ice. My hobby is embroidering greeting cards – while listening to audiobooks, of course!
I absolutely love winter! Maybe it’s because living in Australia 🇦🇺 that the summers are so hot, especially the humidity 🤢🤮 Winter is great, and I love going on road trips with my hubby.
I live in Florida now, so I don’t really have a “Winter” hobby. But I love reading. When I lived in Colorado & Illinois, that was my favorite indoor hobby in the winter time. But I loved ice skating and skiiing when I lived in Colorado.
I hate winter but I do like using my instapot and crock pot in the winter!!
It used to be skiing, but my knees are so bad now I just can’t do it anymore. So how about chilling in sweats with my hubby with a bottle of wine watching Netflix!!
Definitely reading! With everything going on around the world, it’s an amazing escape!

I enjoy yoga to stay active when the weather is too cold to go out.
Reading, crochet, jigsaw puzzles
Indoor hobby is reading under a warm blanket. Outdoor is skiing/sled riding with my kids.
Reading and video games
Reading. I could basically hibernate during the winter! So I catch up on my reading.
Reading and watching movies/tv series. Including my favorite Christmas movies 🥰
I live in South Texas so we really don’t have a winter season but when it does get cold I like to stay inside a read.
Well, I’m sure this will be a completely unique answer only given by me but reading would be my favorite hobby. My mom has grown progressively fearful of fire but when I was young, it was cool to read w a fireplace cracking around me. At college as well. (Difficult to find but something I wanted to remember – like say now – for when I was older and looking back.)
There’s no winter in my country (Caribbean), but my favorite indoor activity is reading( whether eyeball or audio).
Favorite hobby period is photography. I love it during winter for the creative aspect.
my fAVORITE IS BUILDING SNOWMEN
My favorite indoor hobby is reading. I rarely watch TV, but read a lot—especially in winter when I can wrap up in a soft blanket and wear fuzzy socks. My hubby and I take walks every day, and I exercise every day as well. I also love to learn, so I take a bunch of different classes so that I continue to grow. I’m working on my photography skills, but have a long way to go. I also enjoy coloring when the weather is bad. I also love to play card games with friends.
My favorite indoor winter activity is baking cookies, and curling up on the sofa with a good book, a tea and the puppers. My happy place!
I enjoy making Soap and Candles in the winter – I don’t mind heating up the house I like to get it done!
Hobby? I don’t really have one. I know but I don’t knit or scrapbook. I don’t needlepoint or cross-stitch. Those are my ideas f hobbies. Reading is not a hobby for me but an essential part of my daily routine.
Reading and binge watching tv mostly in the winter because I hate the cold.
When I was much younger skiing was my winter sport. Now it’s dressing warm enough to shovel my way to my vehicle to head to work lol. My favourite indoor activity is reading or listening to audiobooks while I do chores.
Baking as it’s too hot to do it in the summer and taking a good book and getting lost in it on the couch.
My favorite hobby is reading. The season doesn’t really matter.
I love the winter. My favorite thing to do is relax. Whether watching a movie or reading a book I just enjoy the down time. I feel like during the summer there is a constant need to do something because of the “nice weather”. So being able to just be home and relax makes me happy.
Winter is when we travel, so it’s not really a hobby per say, but preparing for those vacations by planning, shopping, and then taking them does take the boredom out of the cold months.
I’m always cold so my favorite winter hobby Is curling up on the couch with a fuzzy blanket, book and a nice drink!
I like to do puzzles and play board games with my family.
Favorite indoor hobby would be catching up on movies I wanted to see or books I wanted to read.
Living near Jacksonville, Fl, we don’t get much of the traditional winter (much to my dismay). I love the cold and snow. We do have a cool days here, and that helps. On those days, I’ll grab some tea, a book, a blanket, and just relax. It’s even better if it’s an overcast day outside. I’ll definitely open the blinds for that!
Sitting by the fire reading a good book.
It used to be bowling when me and my husband was dating. Perfect indoor hobby at the local bowling alley when it’s cold out even though I sucked at it but now since we are married and have a daughter who is actually 19 now our favorite indoor hobby is bowling challenges on the WII U, board games or card games. It’s our way of always having family time and staying connected
I love the cold weather I’m a real jumper and boots girl so I love days when it’s really cold but bright sunshine and going for walks in the countryside but I also love to stay in light the fire and read, do jigsaw puzzles, watch an old movie, try a new comfort food recipe or just nap.
I love snowshoeing! Getting out into the middle of nowhere in the winter, snow untouched, it’s so peaceful.
I like doing puzzles.
I love making soups and chilis, which I only make when it is cold outside. I also like getting in some comfy clothes, curling up in bed, and listening to audible until I fall asleep.
Reading, of course! Also politics; my TV channel rarely changes. If I want to watch something else I set the DVR to record so as not to miss any updates or breaking news. I guess that reading and politics are my year-round hobbies!
My favorite hobby is baking. Love trying new recipes and having the help of my grandson. At only 7 years old he is still learning but he loves to help in anyway he can which is mostly eating what I make.
He use to not be willing to try stuff but now he is willing to try the food I make.
I love reading or doing word search puzzles.
Winter? I live in the South! We don’t really have a “normal” winter with snow. It might get cold (well, cold for us), but snow is rare. Like everyone goes crazy if there are snow furries. Schools and businesses shut down. Regardless, I am an artist so indoor activity is creating something! LOL
We are here in Southern California, so it really doesn’t get very cold, so in the ‘winter’ my favorite thing to do is to garden. I repot (bot indoor and outdoor) , trim and do clean up to many of my plants. I plan for spring and look at gardening blogs and books.
Sitting in my hot tub and listening to an audiobook. Both hot n steamy!
Love to bake during the holidays and go to all the Christmas fairs with my mom !
Curling up with a good book, or wrapping up well and going for a long country walk, sometimes and sea swim if I have plenty time
My winter hobby is my all year hobby. i like to crochet and I am only good at blankets or scarves as I am very slow but all of my nieces, nephews and grandbabies all get blankets and they are usually ready by their first winter. I am a quarter done for my next grandson’s blanket as he is due in the next few weeks. I am thankful it is summer where I live!
My hobbies are reading, bargin shopping/coupn clipping and watching TV. I am thinking of doing some crafty new things this winter when it’s too cold out to be out and about. I love watching Youtube for new ideas.
Same as all year round…Reading
My favourite winter or indoor activity would encompass a few things. I love taking my Airedale for walks in the winter because she plays in the snow & is so cute! I also love sitting by the tv & watching the movies I love. I love the Bourne series, The Equalizer, but I also like older movies like Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘Rebecca’ with Sir Laurence Olivier! It’s a true classic with haunting mystery & love! Of course a warm hot chocolate would come into play for each of these!
My favorite indoor hobby during winter is catching up on all my movies & tv shows. I tend to slack off in good weather & since I’m stuck indoors anyway, I catch up on all my shows.
My favorite Winter activity is snuggling up on couch and watching TV and Streaming shows.
Always reading!
Snuggling up under blankets and Reading to my hearts content.
Driving around, looking at decorations and lights with my daughter. We do this at Halloween and Christmas time.
Reading is at the top followed by coloring.
Reading. Catching up on movies, tv series that I didn’t have time for in summer. Winter-cleaning that I don’t care to do when the weather is nice. As I’d rather be nice outside.
If I am not reading, I am working. So reading it is!
Favorite indoor activity is reading!
My favourite winter indoor hobby is obviously listening to your books! I put them on my speaker, so I can listen while I’m putting around my apartment. And yes, I do have to stop and rewind a few times. I’m just coming out of being ill, severe long sepsis, so your books certainly keep my mind going and healing.
This time of year I love reading under a cozy blanket with a coffee or hot chocolate. I also enjoy cooking more this time of year.
Reading is my favorite indoor hobby.
Living in Arizona winter is the best hiking season. Something I love getting out to enjoy.
I have no winter hobbies. I like walking in parks, the weather is more suitable in winter in my country, visiting museums and handicrafts. I have noticed that I am more involved in these activities in the winter.
My favorite hobby is going to estate sales, garage sales and thrift stores, I redo furniture and resell vintage finds and the repurposed and refurbished furniture. It has given me the opportunity to meet some good friends and acquaintances along the way. It has also put a little extra spending money for the extras.
My favorite winter hobby is putting puzzles together.
I don’t know if it counts as a “winter hobby,” but my favorite indoor hobby to do in the winter is to read! Shocker, I’m sure. Warm jammies, a fuzzy blanket, coffee and a good book are all I need, really.
No time for winter hobbies – for me winter means preparing lots and lots of tax returns.
So I haven’t been in Korea for long and I haven’t tried skiing before so my favourite winter hobby is limited to ice fishing, and the best part of this winter activity is we get to eat the fresh sashimi (raw fish) after we hang up our rods. YUM!
Crafting (all kinds of crafts) and planning our post winter vacations.
Like so many, reading is my go to. I also love puzzles, old movies and music if all kinds.
My favorite indoor activity is to read, if we get lucky enough to have snow I will always pick sitting in front of the window with something warm to drink and watch the snow fall
My all time favorite hobby any time of the year is reading (I’m currently on booy 193 of the year) so having the cold weather force me to stay inside and read isn’t a hardship at all. I do spend more time playing board and card game with my son since he’s also stuck spending more time indoors than he normally would.
Reading (more listening to books now that my eyes have gotten so bad) is one of my favorite indoor things. Still love to watch movies/sports with the family all together doesn’t happen as much anymore but it is always nice. Every year we do like to go right before Xmas out to the movie theatre with my kids and husband, usually Christmas Eve if all stars align..
Indoor hobby-Cross Stitching
Definitely reading, or binge watching some of my favorite movies like the Hunger Games, Twilight or FSOG. Thanks for the chance and Happy Holidays!!

Reading, art and baking. I love trying new recipes during the holidays.
If I am not reading, I am crafting. Better yet, I listen to audible and craft at the same time.
I don’t have a winter hobby at all, but one thing I like to do when it get cold is to drink flavored teas. I love a good flavored tea, English Grey, Raspberry Zinger, Peach Mango Green Tea a good flavored hot tea and a good book I can crawl up in my bed or on the couch and read all day especially if it is raining, snowing or just too cold to do anything outside.
Reading. You’ll always find me with my nose stuck in a book

I crochet all winter, well all year round really but mostly in the winter. I call it my Granny Sport even though I’m not a grandma!
Getting cozy by the fire and reading with tea and fur baby snuggles
Mini golfing since I live in the South where the cool weather is perfect for outdoor activities.
We haven’t lived in a place where there’s an actual winter in years. So I wouldn’t say I have a winter hobby. But I do love when the kids get a break from school for the holidays!
Sewing or making quilts
I enjoy taking my dog Riley for nice long walks he loves them and they are good for both of us
Drawing.
Keeping warm, snuggling and reading.
I don’t really have a winter hobby mostly because I live in Texas and it just doesn’t get cold enough and hardly ever snows. I love Christmas though and enjoy spending time finding just the right gifts. So shopping I guess.
I love skiing
I’m gonna have to say i do more baking as I can warm up the house and enjoy the ‘fruits of my labor’ and reading books in between then.
Reading is my winter hobby. (Also my spring, summer and fall hobby,)
I don’t have “winter” hobbie per se, however, I do make a lot more soups for the freezer during the winter months and I do a lot more home baking. I also love to dig out the sweaters! Course don’t get too many actual sweater days here in north central Texas, but we do get some.
I love to stay inside and be warm while making greeting cards. Crafting is my winter hobby. But, I also enjoy curling up with a warm blanket and a great book!
I bake more in the fall and winter. I also tend to read more, I’m not really a outdoorsy person so outside stuff is limited to decorating the yard and that’s it.
Books and reading are my winter hobbies. And the occasional puzzle. I used to ski but probably aged out . Thanks for the fun. I’m only entering a couple but each of your posts is superb.
I do not have a winter hobby. I like to read year round 🙂
Curling up under a blanket listening to books
Omg! My favorite is listening to Audiobooks and or reading them❤️❤️❤️. It’s my favorite time of the year.
I live in Michigan and I used to love skiing, sledding and ice skating but now I prefer to stay inside and read or do jigsaw puzzles. I’ve been thinking that this winter, after the holidays, I’d like to take up rock painting. I love all the quotes and graphics that people paint on rocks. I’m not really artistic but I would like to give it a try. Then I can give them away and put some in our rock garden.
Getting to get back into crocheting now that my little one is older and a bit more independent.
Hi Julie
I love to listen to an audiobook whilst knitting for our local baby bank.
My favorite winter activity/hobby is ice skating.
Audiobooks and hiking. The pnw is beautiful this time of year. It’s a waste to not go out and enjoy it.
Baking and crafting
Well, this time of year, nothing beats waking up early on the weekend and sitting in the quiet house in front of the Christmas tree with the lights glistening. Sometimes I sit quietly and think, pray, ponder or whatever else. Sometimes I drift off to sleep while other times I listen quietly to the TV or read a book while snuggling under a cozy blanket.
Favorite indoor hobby
Love staying inside and reading. Would be great if I had a fire to sit by. Maybe one day I’ll have one.
Love movies as well.
I’d say reading with a cup of hot chocolate or tea, but it’s not just a winter thing for me. Maybe watching winter sports, in the comfort and warmth of my house, but I’m not a fan of participating in cold weather sports.
Sleeping, napping and reading – although that’s pretty much year round, not just winter!
Reading
Cooking
Cleaning, yes I’m weird
I hate the cold, so staying inside by the fire reading is the best.
I would say my favorite indoor hobby is beading! I was taught o bead by my MIL who was Choctaw. Gosh I miss her! I love to bead!

After moving to a cold winter climate, I swear my indoor hobby will be bread baking this year!
Reading and baking.
I love reading . Crafting and listening to music or baking and listening to oldies on the radio
I love reading and crafting and cooking and snuggling up in winter. BUT if there is a streak of sun I HAVE to go out for a walk if at all possible. Or failing that sit and bath in the weak sunlight. I actually crave the sun in winter.
Snuggle under a blanket, watching some TV and drinking some peppermint hot cocoa.
I enjoy snuggling in my chair wearing warm clothes or a blanket, with a book and a cappuccino. If I watch TV, then I have to also knit in the meantime
Crafting, making jewelry, reading, eating and drinking coffee with a delicious pumpkin dessert

In Arizona the winter is the best time of the year; I love to travel all over the state and ride e-bikes with the hubby.

My winter hobby is the same as summer. Spending time with my pets and kids.
I like to ski and do puzzles.
Our indoor winter hobby is cooking a different soup every Saturday until the snow goes away the first week of April. We live in Rochester NY on Lake Ontario, all the snow that passes over Buffalo NY hits us next. My parents never taught us any winter sports, but our teenagers taught themselves to ice skate. So my husband and I make the soup from scratch and bake breadbowls to enjoy with it while the kids skate on Saturdays.
My favorite indoor hobby is reading.
My favorite indoor hobby is reading.
I live in Texas so we don’t have “Winter” weather very long but I do love those cold days when we can have a fire in the fireplace. I love the smell and crackling sound of the word burning. Plus making homemade soup, and enjoying hot chocolate with marshmallows in the cold evenings.
Reading and doing puzzles
Thanks for the chance!
Listening to audiobooks and music. (I can no longer cook or bake due to illness and pain, but in years past, I would bake like crazy during the holidays. Baking brought me so much joy. I really miss it).

I either read or crochet.
Thanks so much for the chance.
Hi Julie, hands down it’s reading. i can read all day, everyday. Curled up in a blanket, drinking hot chocolate with a good book is bliss.
I don’t like winter or cold weather in general so I try to stay inside. I have a farm so I have lots of farm chores but when I have extra time at night I do crafts. My latest love is carving little people from wood. I’ve become quite good. It takes practice for sure just like any craft or art. My winters are for my creative side.
Reading!!!!
Thank you so so so so so much for the years and years of enjoyment you have given me through your books!! And thank you for the chance to win!
I hope you and your family have the happiest of holidays!!!!
I’m a history buff and love doing genealogical research and finding interesting facts about our family.
I am a winter hater too! My favorite hobby is staying warm. I used to live in Phoenix, and I miss it so much right now. If I can be warm and read it is a double bonus.
I like to craft and scrapbook
