Welcome to my annual 12 DAYS OF GIVEAWAYS!
If you’re new to this – here’s how it works:
1. Each day from December 1 through December 12 I will put up a new giveaway HERE on my website with instructions on how to enter, a detailed description of the prize, and some stuff about the book or series. Each giveaway is different and each has ONE WINNER. MY GIVEAWAYS ARE ALWAYS OPEN INTERNATIONAL
2. Each giveaway runs UNTIL DECEMBER 13.
3. Winners are CHOSEN and NOTIFIED on December 14. I will be notifying winners USING THE EMAIL USED TO COMMENT ON THIS BLOG – and all winners will BE LISTED AT THE TOP OF EACH GIVEAWAY POST HERE ON MY WEBSITE on December 14.
4. Winners have 24 hours to respond, then another winner will be chosen.
5. ALL PRIZES WILL BE MAILED ON DECEMBER 15. If I’m waiting on a winner to respond and they miss the December 15 mail date, that prize will be mailed when I get around to it. I live in the middle of nowhere so a trip to the post office is a “thing” for me. 🙂 So make sure you’re checking for winners on the 14th.
6. I will send newsletters announcing giveaways on December 1, December 6, December 12, and a Winner newsletter on December 14. I NEVER send this many newsletters in a month so sorry if that feels spammy.
7. You can also FOLLOW MY BLOG. I will also make a blog post HERE announcing ALL WINNERS on the 14th. If you want to follow this blog there will be a form at the bottom of each post to do that. Then you get an email when I POST HERE. I don’t do that often – December is the exception because of the 12 Days and my yearly “Wrap-up” post.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
THAT’S IT! I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY THIS!
All prizes this year are self-care gift sets filled with holiday and luxury items, plus a $25 gift card and a signed copy of a a book.

IN EACH POST I WILL HIGHLIGHT A BOOK
TODAY’S BOOK HIGHLIGHT IS THE RUMBLE AND THE GLORY
ANGSTY, TWISTY, SPICY SMALL-TOWN ROMANTIC SUSPENSE
Collin Creed is a killer. But he’s Lowyn’s killer. And after a twelve-year separation, she wants him back.
Deep in the hills of West Virginia, three small towns have found a way to flourish in the face of extreme poverty. Disciple runs a side-show tent revival that brings in millions of dollars a year. Bishop flaunts traditional ways in the vein of Colonial Williamsburg, luring weary city people to the slow-living lifestyle. And Revenant offers them an experience of sin filled with tattooed bikers and live-music dive bars.
It’s a sacred trinity that worships the almighty dollar and everyone plays their role like a well-trained Broadway actor.
But these hills have secrets, and so do the people.
Twelve years ago, when he was just eighteen and dreaming of a future with his high school sweetheart, Collin Creed learned something about himself. Something so disturbing he left Disciple to join the Marines and didn’t once look back. But all that came to a screeching halt with the congressional hearings, forcing Collin to return home and rebuild his black-ops empire brick by brick.
Lowyn McBride’s heart broke when Collin shut her out and left town without an explanation just as they were getting ready to start their adult lives together. The death of her mother the following year was a make-or-break moment and Lowyn rose to the occasion, giving up her university education to parent her younger sister while building an empire of her own as a specialty antiques dealer.
Anger and desire, guilt and shame—the return of the enigmatic Collin Creed ignites the town and sparks an explosion of emotions inside Lowyn. But he’s not the only one with a secret in his past. Lowyn has always played the good girl to Collin’s bad-boy reputation. But it turns out—she’s just like everyone else up in these hills—not as wholesome and pure as she looks.
The Rumble and the Glory is a cinematic and spicy small-town secret, second-chance romance wrapped up in a cloak of mystery and suspense. It honors the themes of found family, redemptive anti-hero, and is filled with bigger-than-life, morally-grey characters against a backdrop of deceit and deception.

Hands down my favorite holiday dish is my mom’s homemade cranberry relish. It’s amazingly yummy!

My favourite is chocolate concrete with pink custard, it’s like a chocolate shortbread eaten warm and pleasant no custard is made with strawberry blamonge mix before it is allowed to set
Fudge
This seems to be the only time of the year I eat it
My favorite holiday deserts are Chocolate Crinkles, and Russian Tea Cakes. I have loved them since I was a little kid in Germany, and they always warm my heart <3. My family also always makes Scramble (like home made Chex mix) to snack on.
One of my favorites is the Greek. Cookies with white powered sugar on top. So easy to make and they look fancy. The other is the Italian struffolie with honey and sprinkles. Soooo good, I don’t even like to share them 🫣
I’ve got to say Christmas cookies as well. I remember making sugar cookies with my dad and aunt when I was a little girl. When my kids were little we would spend all day in the kitchen baking all sorts of cookies. My favorites being chocolate chip and Snickerdoodles
For the “meal”, my favorite dish is my green bean casserole. For dessert my favorite thing is my husband’s grandfather’s German Lebkuchen cookies that he makes every year. They are delicious and a real treat since they are so hard for him to make.
My favorite dish is always going to be green bean casserole. My favorite dessert, blueberry pie.
I absolutely love Trifle and Pavlovia
Ooh I have a few favourites! For treats I love peanut butter balls & molasses cookies (we always made them with my dad & when he passed my brother has kept the tradition going & they are so good! ). For drinks I love Egg nog especially if you mix a little captain Morgan in with it!

My favorite holiday treat is homemade apple pie 🍏🥧 easy amd a classic!
I love warm sweet potato pie during the holidays with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.
My favorite holiday dish was my mom’s homemade chicken and dumplings. She only made it for the holidays or special occasions because she actually didn’t like making them. She always did it for us, though. And they were the best thing I’ve ever eaten, still to this day.
I know it’s kinda basic but I always thought, Ew Yams and marshmallows. Thennnn I made it one year and NOW it’s my favorite dish to make every year.

My favorite is the cookies. Bourbon balls, snicker doodles, gingerbread, and more. All so yummy
My fave is Orange Salad!
Ingredients sound gross but combined correctly… magic! Orange salad is Cottage cheese, orange jello, crushed pineapple, mandrin oranges and whip cream. Soooo good!
Every year since I had memory of Christmasses, we’ve had the same Christmas ham with dinner rolls that is the absolute best! Reminds me of the time when the whole family was still complete!
Fresh baked apple pie with cinnamon.
It’s a tie between pumpkin pie with lots of whipped cream or mince meat pie with lots of vanilla ice cream- or both😆❤️
I love Rumble
The actual Christmas dinner itself is my favourite. We don’t have a traditional turkey but we do have all the trimmings with lamb instead. Although we do tend to cook lamb, beef and a small chicken, and we have a mixture of meats with our roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings, roasted parsnips and potatoes, mashed potato and all the vegetables you can think of. If I had to pick something off the plate that’s my favourite it’s probably the roasted veg, or maybe the meats, ahhh, i’m not sure I can decide
Fudge!!
My husband is in charge of the Ham each and every year. That’s because he slow roasts that thing for 24 hours before Christmas day lunch, it’s become a staple in our house. The kids love it even now they are older, and now this year they have told their significant others and they literally said they MUST attend lunch for this Ham. I think my poor husband is feeling the pressure! 😂 So it’s not a dish but it’s a very big Ham that slow roasted over time. And it’s moist, melts in your mouth deliciousness. 😋
Alison Hawkins dinner sounds amazing! We do roast beef. My kids won’t eat Yorkshire pudding so I quit doing that! It’s hard to pinpoint my favorite though maybe it’s the twice baked potato or the Canlis salad!
My favorite holiday dessert is probably gingerbread cookies. I use my grandmas recipe and they are amazing!
My favorite is egg nog.
Pecan Pie!
It’s hard to pick just one thing, I love it all! And Julie I’m with you on the Christmas cookies, I eat them all day😃
My favorite holiday dessert is my mom’s oatmeal cookies. They’re sweet with a salty aftertaste giving them the perfect blend.
I do like Port Wine Trifle.
Black rum cake. It’s a Caribbean delicacy 👌🏾
Every year, every Christmas.
Mine would be fruit salad. My dad made it for me every year before he passed and now mom carries on the tradition. It’s an awesome leftover as a late night snack
Christmas pudding and brandy sauce
love turkey, potatoes and rolls covered in gravy
It’s got to be the Turkey, love the dinner & all the leftovers for sandwiches & if there is any left after a couple of days then Turkey Curry
Cookies. Oh and fudge. LOL
My favorite dish for the holidays…. there are so many of them. I think it would be the lazagna. So time consuming to make but so good. All the cheese and meat. Made with love ❤️ and a day in the kitchen. But of course there is always the cookies. So many different kinds. But alot of that is the fun made special with all the girls, all together for the day. Very playful. I think alot of it is just making the memories and remembering the memories.

The holidays is that once a year everyone brings there signature dish that you can’t wait to have and nobody else fixes that dish but the person who brings. So I look forward to my Moms lemon meringue pie. My sisters homemade noodles. My niece makes the best chocolate chip cookies. Our family does an old family punch recipe. Dressing hasn’t been the same since my grandmother passed away. And I love pumpkin pie.

My favourite dessert.. homemade fudge/tablet.
Favorite holiday food candy yam and green dean casserole.
I don’t have a favourite. My nan used to make the best dinners but since she died I haven’t enjoyed food as much as much. Maybe I’ll find a new favourite. Cookies and ice cream sounds amazing 🥰
That’s hard because I like the main foods and desserts. So roast with vegetables and a cheesecake cake.

When it comes to Holiday treats I am more of a traditional girlie. I love me some peanut butter blossoms, My family also makes these oatmeal bars that they call “Mock Baby Ruth Bars” (not really sure why as they have nothing to do with the candy bar Baby Ruth’s), but they are also my fav, but I have went to eating these year round when I get a hankering for them. I love making Sugar cookies and frosting them and having my kids help, but I actually dont care for them. Which is good for me when people want them. I dont end up eating them. LOL
I have so many favorites, but I especially like a homemade cornbread dressing recipe that I got from my mother’s old Betty Crocker cookbook.
I can hardly pick one but I’ll go with my homemade Scottish Shortbread. You can buy something in the grocery called Scottish Shortbread but it’s not the real deal. The real deal is not too sweet and it’s quite hard. It’s cooked in a sheet pan and cut into squares immediately after exiting the oven because you won’t be able to cut it once it’s cooled. No icing or sprinkles or anything added because it’s perfect just the way it is. I don’t know how it became a Christmas treat but in my house December is when it gets made.
My grandfather makes the best sweet potato crunch. There’s like an inch of sweet pecan goodness on top.
Pie – apple or pumpkin
I like my tiny chocolate-swirled cheesecake–packs a punch, but we don’t have to eat it for a week like a regular-sized cheesecake.
We don’t have a traditional menu for Christmas-this year everyone is bringing their favorite appetizer/snacks. But my husband loves cheesecake and I usually only make it at Christmas so that’s my favorite dessert. My sons is the cookies that we always make “for Santa” and he’s now 26 yrs old! Lol
I love cornbread dressing. If you grow up in the south it’s a typical dish for holiday meals. Some chicken, chicken broth, cornbread, eggs, sage, and onions. A little celery if you like celery. I put mine in the crock pot with butter on top for about 6 hours on low.
My favorite dessert is a poke and pour Christmas layer cake with Cool Whip frosting. One layer is green jello pokes and the other red jello pokes. Frost an add red and green sugar sprinkles. Very festive.

My Grandma E’s hand rolled Povitica. My grandmother has been gone for many years, but she baked over a hundred loaves of this delicious nut bread to give as Christmas gifts for family and friends each year for many, many decades. I treasure Grandma’s handwritten Povitica recipe, and I made a few attempts to keep her tradition alive. Sadly my attempts to reproduce the tasty treat were all massive failures. One of my earliest memories of Christmas is my mom making cookies. All kinds of cookies. When I was 8 I was deemed old enough to get up a 6am to start the baking that would go on for two days only stopping long enough to fix meals. The early years there were a few tins she would fill for people who visited, but by the time I was 20 and working there were about 20 Christmas tins ready for goodies besides the big tin for us and that year I counted over 1200 cookies. She so loved seeing people smile when they got their tin of cookies. Mom made a special cookie only for us, a round raisin filled open top cookie that she and I loved. So, when the last cookie was out of the oven and the cleaning was done, she an I would share a pot of tea and a few of these delicious cookies. I miss her cookies, but I miss her more. So when I enjoy a spritz or roll out cookie or any other Christmas cookie I think of thousands of cookies, and my mom.

My favorite holiday dessert has to be my grandma’s S cookies. They are not sweet and not frosted. Making them and then sharing them with the remaining family members brings us so many wonderful memories. We usually start with a few memories and then we continue with funny things that grandma would tell us. The best is how grandma would not allow her children to make any letter except S, but once the grandchildren and great grandchildren came along they could make anything they wanted. The cookies are about the memories more than the cookie. Best Memories Ever!!

I make fudge, chocolate pretzels, Grandma’s peanut butter bars, Grandma’s cherry salad (really a dessert), my Aunt’s scalloped pineapple casserole, huge quantities of party mix, and usually try something new (I’ve never been great with pies). My favorite dessert spekkoek. This is a Dutch Spice cake that my Oma would make and now my mom or my dad will make. Very time consuming with every layer to make (as thin as a crepe) and the cake having over 100 layers. So worth it and the presentation is gorgeous.

Favourite dish… The turkey!
I love both homemade Christmas cookies and fudge
Oh my gosh… I could write a list a mile long, including my favorite holiday savory dishes and sweet desserts. I love food!! From the time I can remember, I had such a passion for eating, cooking, and baking. I had seriously planned on attending culinary school and becoming a chef. However, I was struck down hard with chronic illness and chronic pain in my late 20’s. I’m currently in my mid-50’s. Due to a diagnosis of Celiac Disease around 2004, along with other conditions piling up over the years (other painful G.I. conditions, lots of autoimmune diseases, other chronic diseases, Mast cell activation syndrome, Lyme disease (and co-infections), major food intolerances that have crept up over the years, etc., I haven’t been able to eat or enjoy any of the foods I love so much, let alone holiday foods that I have such fond memories of. Growing up, the holidays were always a huge deal in my family, including major holiday feasts. I loved the holidays so much mostly because there was always lots of cooking and baking involved, and lots of delicious food to enjoy. Unfortunately, in my current state, I’m seriously down to only about six foods my body will tolerate, and none of these are what I would consider delicious. So, yeah, life in general, when it comes to food, is pretty darn hard, but during the holidays, man, it really sucks!!! Even though I can no longer make or enjoy this “holiday dessert”, it’s probably the dessert I most looked forward to enjoying on Christmas (and in the days after, as we always made lots of it). It’s a really simple, easy to make dessert, but it was always my favorite. My mom made this delicious dessert at Christmas time only, and I would always watch and help her out. Once I learned the recipe and could make these on my own (I was fairly young), I took over the job of making these mouth-watering Crème de menthe bars for my family to enjoy… And enjoy we did… We would gorge ourselves on these!!! Everyone in my family loved these. There are lots of variations on this recipe/dessert, but it consists of three layers. The bottom layer is a homemade graham cracker crust (we always added in cocoa powder) that needs to be baked, set aside, and cooled off. Middle layer consists of the best part: a festive, green colored, creamy filling made with crème de menthe liqueur. Once the graham cracker crust is cooled off, this filling is poured over the crust and put into the refrigerator to set. The top and third layer consist of combining melted dark chocolate with melted butter, which is then poured over the crème de menthe liqueur layer, and put back into the refrigerator. Once the top layer of chocolate sets enough, but not too hard to cut through the three layers without the chocolate cracking, it’s pulled from the refrigerator, cut into squares, and put back into the refrigerator. And voilà, the dessert is finished and ready to eat (more like gorge upon). My mouth is seriously watering just thinking about these delicious bars that are so, so simple to make. And just writing this is bringing back so many wonderful memories. From memory, the main ingredients in this dessert are graham crackers, egg, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, crème de menthe liqueur, green food coloring, semisweet and bittersweet chocolate, and lots of butter throughout. So, yeah, I couldn’t eat these if I wanted to (unless I wanted to end up in the emergency room, no thank you). Oh, and did I mention that I’ve been dealing with burning mouth syndrome since my thirties… And that I need to avoid anything with mint or mint flavoring at all costs, because it makes the burning of my tongue and mouth 100% worse? So, this dessert that I loved so much, is completely off limits to me — the minty taste of the crème de menthe liqueur would end up “scalding” my tongue and mouth and setting it on “fire”, and almost every other ingredient in this I can’t have for various reasons. The vanilla extract is about the only “safe” ingredient in this (and it would need to be gluten free). I believe the question prior to this one in the giveaway was regarding what we were looking forward to in 2025… My answer was better health… Things like gluten, dairy, eggs, alcohol, food coloring, sugar, etc., will always be off limits to me, unless there’s a miracle cure for every ailment I have. Although there’s a long list of foods that I haven’t been able to tolerate in years, it’s only been in the last two or so years, that I started reacting to almost all foods, and am down to only about six that I can tolerate. So, I really do hope that I can improve my health situation in 2025 so that I can start adding back in some more foods that I enjoy. Not in a million years, especially back in the day when I had seriously planned on becoming a chef, did I ever imagine that I’d only be able to tolerate and eat six foods. It’s ridiculous!!! Hoping for health improvements in 2025!! 🙏 Thanks again for this opportunity, Julie… It’s an awesome giveaway!! I hope you enjoy lots and lots of delicious Christmas cookies… And I hope you’re able to find some ice cream with Christmas cookies (if not, crumble up some Christmas cookies and sprinkle them over the top of your ice cream or let your ice cream soften up a bit and then mix into it your favorite crumbled up Christmas cookies). Enjoy!!! 🍨 🍪😋 Happy Holidays!! ❤️🎄
