DAY 5 – 12 DAYS OF GIVEAWAYS – 2024 – ROOK AND RONIN

  • December 5, 2024

  • Giveaways, JA Huss

Welcome to my annual 12 DAYS OF GIVEAWAYS!

If you’re new to this – here’s how it works:

1.   Each day from December 1 through December 12 I will put up a new giveaway HERE on my website with instructions on how to enter, a detailed description of the prize, and some stuff about the book or series. Each giveaway is different and each has ONE WINNER. MY GIVEAWAYS ARE ALWAYS OPEN INTERNATIONAL

2.   Each giveaway runs UNTIL DECEMBER 13.

3.   Winners are CHOSEN and NOTIFIED on December 14. I will be notifying winners USING THE EMAIL USED TO COMMENT ON THIS BLOG – and all winners will BE LISTED AT THE TOP OF EACH GIVEAWAY POST HERE ON MY WEBSITE on December 14.

4.   Winners have 24 hours to respond, then another winner will be chosen.

5.   ALL PRIZES WILL BE MAILED ON DECEMBER 15.  If I’m waiting on a winner to respond and they miss the December 15 mail date, that prize will be mailed when I get around to it. I live in the middle of nowhere so a trip to the post office is a “thing” for me. 🙂 So make sure you’re checking for winners on the 14th.

6.   I will send newsletters announcing giveaways on December 1, December 6, December 12, and a Winner newsletter on December 14. I NEVER send this many newsletters in a month so sorry if that feels spammy.

7.   You can also FOLLOW MY BLOG. I will also make a blog post HERE announcing ALL WINNERS on the 14th. If you want to follow this blog there will be a form at the bottom of each post to do that. Then you get an email when I POST HERE. I don’t do that often – December is the exception because of the 12 Days and my yearly “Wrap-up” post.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

THAT’S IT! I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY THIS!

TODAY’S BOOK HIGHLIGHT IS ROOK & RONIN!

ANGSTY, TWISTY, SPICY CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE

(LONG SERIES – COMPLETE!)

THIS IS A LONG SERIES BUT IT’S 100% COMPLETE!

THE FIRST THREE BOOKS ARE PART OF THIS MASSIVE SPECIAL EDITION HARDCOVER IN TODAY’S GIVEAWAY

She’s down on her luck. He’s got a sketchy history of breaking girls.

TRAGIC
Down-on-her-luck Rook meets top-model Ronin and gets offered the opportunity of a lifetime—a modeling gig with a famous photographer for a campaign called Tragic. It comes with a paycheck, a roof-top apartment, and a bad-boy called Ronin who has a sketchy history of breaking pretty girls. Despite his reputation, Rook finds herself falling for his charm. But can she trust him? Not just with her safety, but with her heart?

MANIC
The money is flowing but stripping naked and letting your boyfriend’s best friend paint your body in order to sell custom motorcycles isn’t the ideal way to start a brand-new relationship. Add in a TV reality show, another best friend who seems determined to make Rook notice him, and that in order to get paid she will have to strut her stuff in public wearing nothing but body paint and yeah—there’s not a chance in hell the love of her life is going to be OK with this.

PANIC
Rook and Ronin are both chasing the same dream. Love, a family of their own, and a future that has nothing to do with modeling. But both of them have been running from a secret past and all those mistakes are about to catch up. Lies, secrets, and shocking truths will rock the foundation Rook and Ronin have built. Can they put the past behind them and move forward together? Or is this just another too good to be true relationship that will crash and burn in the end?

MY ANSWER

I am really looking forward to selling the house and buying a new farm out of state. I’ve been planning this for about a year and a half now and i’m hoping it’s a relatively stress-free adventure! I really want a big garden and either a big shop or a big barn in the new place. Also, it would be nice to have a proper riding arena, but that’s probably pushing it. 🙂

Can’t wait to read what you’re looking forward to!

I am looking forward to spending quality time with my Autistic teenage son. This year was a sh*tshow & we were so busy with bad luck, school, moving & job-hopping. Now that things are stable & the bad luck dealt with, we should be able to make daytrips, weekend getaways & weekly vacations together!

in the year of 2025 I am not really sure what I am looking forward to. I have no HUGE things that seem to be happening except one, I am taking care of a bucket list item of going on a Caribbean cruise. Other than that I am hoping to get a different job outside of my current department, but so far it is hope. I am thinking of going back to school so that I can explore other avenue’s professionally, but that is just a thought at this time. I am also looking forward to 1 year closer to no longer having to co-parent with my narcistic ex, with only 3 more years to go. June of 2028 cant come fast enough, but at the same time slow enough.

As sad as this sounds, I’m excited to finally be able to fully block some of my crazy and deranged family members that always go out of their way to make and keep so much drama built up and stirred up. I have to wait until after a court case and will reading before I feel comfortable fully blocking them so that they can’t use that against the normal and sane family members.

My hubby and I spent the first 7 yrs of our oldest grandsons life, raising him and we want to see him, and his siblings again, even if it’s just a Zoom video call. We aren’t going after grandparents rights, just the right to see the kids. Hopefully, 2025 will be a better year for our family.

Me not so much…I just go with the flow. If I feel like taking a trip I go, not really a planner. I have lived in Vegas my whole life. Can’t say I am leaving (the no state ta thing) I just hope 2025 is calm go with the flow no big changes kind of year. Sorry to say my comment won’t provoke the “Wow” response. We are both embarking on whole new careers and I look forward to seeing where these new adventures take us. I am also looking forward to planting a new garden this year.

2025 is going to be a bittersweet year for me. My baby girl graduates high school. She is still weighing her options on where she wants to live, but has been accepted to a few colleges and is planning on doing all online school and get an art degree. I love seeing the woman she is becoming, but yet she is growing up way too fast.

Hopefully it will be a calm year. The last few have been rough. Probably what I’m looking forward to most is my disability hearing. Hoping and praying all the time that it gets approved. The rest of it will be spent with family when I can.

I’m looking forward to getting to spend more time with my sons and their wives and my granddogs. Hopefully grandkids someday but for now the dogs are good. I’d like to get back to horseback riding. It’s been years and years and I’ve just never had the time or money to go to a riding stable. Hoping this year it may happen and of course another go round with trying to actually grow something in my garden. Nothing grows for me. Ugh.

As a nanny, jobs can sometimes be short-term. This year I’ve had trouble finding families. In fact, a couple I’ve had this year, have ended abruptly with the children getting into a daycare earlier than was planned. Next year, I have a family lined up, that is supposedly meant to be for the year, so I’m hoping this is the case.
So, what I’m looking forward to the most in 2025 (also a bit nervous, lol) is starting work consistently again, and being able to take the child/ren to playgroups and to meet up with my nanny friends more regularly.
    Thanks for the chance 😁

I had back surgery and I’m looking forward to continuing my therapy and not having anymore pain! I’m looking forward to kicking pain to the curb when I go to the gym! When I’m at the gym I’m always listening to audiobooks so I’m looking for to new audiobooks. This year I’ve listened to over 300 books. I don’t watch TV and I listen anytime I’m awake!

I started my weight loss journey about 2 months ago and even with my weight fluctuating, I have kept 10lbs off. That may not seem like much but my BMI score has improved & so have my weekly scans. I started my journey to help with my chronic pain. It’s amazing as you see the changes in all areas of your body. So I do plan on continuing so by summer I’m where I want to be. That’s my personal goal.

Hoping to visit my son more in 2025. He’s not to far away, about an hour and a half, but I don’t like driving very far anymore, and driving in a busy big city seems more difficult since I’ve been living in the country for the last 34 years! Would love to go hear my son Ryan’s band Ashes Reign play at some of there venue’s while they are touring. As long as I’m not driving 🤪 they just came back from touring in Texas, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. They have hit some places around our state of Virginia and I was able to go see them perform a few months ago. It was great fun! Hoping to have more fun things to do next year. I love reading all your books Julie. Thanks for the chance to win anything from you. Happy sugar cookie making! 🎄❤🎄❤🎄❤🎄❤🎄❤🎄

I’m ready for a new year. This year has had some ups and downs. But the downs outweigh the ups. I did turn 50 this year. And celebrated my work anniversary of 25 years. But my mom passed away in August after being on hospice for many months. Also lost my dad. So for 2025 I want me and my family to have better health. Also want a vacation somewhere. I’ve not been anywhere in 6 years. So hopefully I can save a little so I can go.

And now that it’s the holidays I’m figuring people won’t hire until after the 1st of the year. Beyond that, we’re trying to plan a family Alaska cruise. That’s the last state my parents need to cross off the list, so they would have visited all the US States. It’s been a state they’ve wanted to go to for many years.

I also can’t wait for our family holiday next year with everything happening this year we didn’t end up going. I did go away twice for my 40th. Once with my bestie to stay on a yacht in London, and away with my hubby for a 4 day trip without the kids which was first time we’ve done that in 14 years! But the the year went to hell in a hand basket so all out trip plans went out the window. Lucky to have some amazing kids that roll with everything that comes along. So definitely look forward to a family holiday x

This is an easy answer for me. I’m looking forward to better health or at least knowing that research is being done, so there’s hope for better health in the near future. I’m hoping for new and better research on chronic pain, which will hopefully lead to new and better treatments. I’m dealing with a lot of “rare diseases”, many of which most doctors and specialists have never even heard of, let alone have answers for. So, hoping for more research to be done on these too, which will hopefully lead to better understanding and treatments. Crossing my fingers that 2025 brings more research and new understandings, which will eventually lead to new and better treatments. I’m also hoping for better health for my mom, dad, and partner. And it doesn’t hurt to hope for a miracle cure (or cures) — wishful thinking, but hey, ya never know. Thanks for doing this awesome annual giveaway, Julie. Happy Holidays!! ❤️🎄

In 2025, I’m really looking forward to finally getting fully healthy and feeling like myself again. After everything, that will feel like such a huge accomplishment. Plus, I’m excited about planning another amazing road trip with my best friend—nothing beats the freedom of the open road, great conversations, and discovering new places together.

I’m looking forward to a mini vacation. We really didn’t have money for vacations and didn’t take them. Since my husband passed away I am trying to get away at least to the seacoast for a few days. I don’t drive so my son will take me and stay, then my other son will drive me back home. I can’t wait to find some deals for a place to stay – July!

Changes. 2025 will be bringing a lot of changes as my son will ship out with the Navy and my daughter will be moving for a new job. No children in the house will be a new sadly wonderful experience. I am considering what other changes I can make but seeing my children grow and flourish in 2025 is the biggest goal and hope I have.

I live in Western NC and in September of this year and August of 2021 we flooded. Only our community and town in 2021 and all of Western NC in September. Who lives though two floods that have never happened this close together to this extent. Two bridges in three years and now idea how to fix the new one. I hope that 2025 brings a repair to that new bridge and we don’t have to drive on the one we lost the first time again. It’s like taking your life in your own hands to get home. I would love some peace and it saddens me the place I have called home my entire life will never be the same.

THE DANGER IN THE DAMAGE

A soldier searching for redemption.
A man addicted to control.
And the woman caught between them…

Ean Shephard knows trouble when he sees it and Olive Creed is the kind of trouble that can burn his whole world down. As Collin Creed’s baby sister, she’s completely off-limits. But her quiet strength, combined with her sad vulnerability, keeps pulling him closer. Shep came to Edge Security to escape his past, but falling for Olive could ruin his second chance and the fragile peace he’s fought so hard to find.

Brose Sinclair has always played the long game. He and Olive are more than just partners inside the shadow organization they both work for, they’re lovers. His absolute authority keeps her on track and Olive likes it that way. But her sudden attraction to their target threatens everything they’ve worked for and for the first time, Brose finds himself questioning whether control is enough to keep Olive by his side.

Olive Creed has spent her life learning to play her role perfectly. She can’t afford to mess up. Not with Brose watching her every move, looking for mistakes. Mistakes she sometimes makes on purpose just to spur on his titillating punishment. But as she starts to fall for her target and her world begins to crumble beneath her feet, Olive finds herself wondering—which one of these two men would truly be there in her darkest hour?

Brose—the one who owns her mind?

Or Shep—the one who wants her heart?

The Danger in the Damaged is a battlefield of betrayal and control, where loyalty is a weapon and obsession takes no prisoners. It’s a best-friend’s-little-sister romance caught in the crossfire of dark secrets and mind games—and this time, Collin Creed isn’t the one calling the shots.

Inside the pages you’ll find…

Enemies to Lovers
Best Friend’s Sister
Power Dynamics
Forbidden Love
Dark Protector
Forced Proximity
Possessive Love
