Welcome to my annual 12 DAYS OF GIVEAWAYS!
If you’re new to this – here’s how it works:
1. Each day from December 1 through December 12 I will put up a new giveaway HERE on my website with instructions on how to enter, a detailed description of the prize, and some stuff about the book or series. Each giveaway is different and each has ONE WINNER. MY GIVEAWAYS ARE ALWAYS OPEN INTERNATIONAL
2. Each giveaway runs UNTIL DECEMBER 13.
3. Winners are CHOSEN and NOTIFIED on December 14. I will be notifying winners USING THE EMAIL USED TO COMMENT ON THIS BLOG – and all winners will BE LISTED AT THE TOP OF EACH GIVEAWAY POST HERE ON MY WEBSITE on December 14.
4. Winners have 24 hours to respond, then another winner will be chosen.
5. ALL PRIZES WILL BE MAILED ON DECEMBER 15. If I’m waiting on a winner to respond and they miss the December 15 mail date, that prize will be mailed when I get around to it. I live in the middle of nowhere so a trip to the post office is a “thing” for me. 🙂 So make sure you’re checking for winners on the 14th.
6. I will send newsletters announcing giveaways on December 1, December 6, December 12, and a Winner newsletter on December 14. I NEVER send this many newsletters in a month so sorry if that feels spammy.
7. You can also FOLLOW MY BLOG. I will also make a blog post HERE announcing ALL WINNERS on the 14th. If you want to follow this blog there will be a form at the bottom of each post to do that. Then you get an email when I POST HERE. I don’t do that often – December is the exception because of the 12 Days and my yearly “Wrap-up” post.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
THAT’S IT! I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY THIS!

“Unique story and Top Read 2021”
Cort van Breda has won 35 death matches as a fighter in an MMA circuit so deep underground there are no rules and only the winner gets out alive.
They call him the Sick Heart.
They say he’s a shameless monster.
They say he’s a ruthless killer.
They say he’s as twisted as the man who owns him.
They say a lot of things about Cort van Breda.
But in our world violence is money, and money is winning, and winning is life, and life is the only thing that matters.
Except… he wasn’t meant to win that last fight.
And I wasn’t meant to be his prize.
But he did.
And I am.
And now his sick heart owns me.
WARNING: This is a sweet love story adrift in an ocean of evil. It is about two survivors dealing with their darkest secrets while they fight to change their lives. It is for mature readers only and has descriptions of deeply disturbing situations. There will be pearl clutching.

BOOK 2
SICK HATE
Irina van Breda escaped the hopeless life she was born into and started a brand new one in America all by herself. She has everything she needs—a condo in South Beach, a new accent that doesn’t betray her dark origins, a brilliant best friend, and an easy life of walking the beach and feeding the gulls.
But she is merely existing—until Dead-Eyes Eason Malone appears, asking questions. He knows who she is, he knows where she came from, and he’s got a plan for her. A plan that could help him get over his own tragic beginnings.
Irina and Eason are on a collision course with the truth—and when they finally come to terms with what really happened to them as children, it just might shatter them both into millions of pieces.
Sick Hate is the second book in the Sick World Series. It is a standalone but new readers should start with Sick Heart first if they want the whole story of Irina’s past.
What you can expect inside the pages of Sick Hate:
*DARK Past
*Friends to Lovers
*He Falls First
*Slow Burn MF
*Touch Her and Die
*Sick World/Evil Bad Guys
*Found Family

WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY THAT MAKES YOU HAPPY?
MY ANSWER
All the farm stuff I do makes me happy. I hate the thought of getting up and going right outside to feed but once I’m out there I don’t mind it at all. Not even in the worse weather. I like feeding because everyone is happy. 🙂 Also, picking up eggs is pretty fun. Right now my girls are not laying because they just went through molt and the days are short. I don’t have production breeds, so while they lay more eggs than I need most of the time, they’re not the breeds of chickens that lay one a day without fail. I choose my flock for egg color and you really just need some Rhode Island Reds if you want eggs all winter. 🙂 Still, I like it when they are clucking around and happy. So I guess my farm is my hobby and it’s worth all the hard work. Plus, it’s good exercise. I spent a couple hours a day outside. I’d never have a reason to go outside if I didn’t ahve a farm because writing and business stuff takes up most of my time.
Even though writing is my job, it also makes me very happy and satisfied. I can’t imagine what life would be like if I wasn’t walking around thinking about a group of fictional people doing a bunch of fictional stuff in a place that doesn’t exist. lol
Can’t wait to read what you all do for fun!

I cross stitch and bowl besides reading. I’m currently working on a Van Gough style Dr. Who stitch.
I love reading especially JA Huss & spending time making memories for my 2 foreign exchange students, Italy and Germany. Showing them our community & family traditions & learning theirs their’s. Have a blessed Holiday on the Farm 🚜
My favorite hobby is reading
I like to do crossword puzzles.
I love to do crafting such as diamond art and stitchery. Of course, reading definitely puts me in a happy mood too,
It may sound cliche, but reading is my hobby. Don’t care for tv, and I always busy between work and casting for my husband. So reading is my hobby, my escape, and it helps me keep my sanity!
My hobbies are reading and walking. I’m fortunate to live in the countryside with access to lots of public footpaths through the fields. I love to wander with my dog and an audio book.
I love reading and doing crafts.
Let’s i love to read or listen to audio books. I also like to crochet blankets hats and scarfs
My family, my dogs and my friends.
My hobby is reading. It allows me to get out of my head and feel something different. I have always been a reader but as an adult it is now a lifestyle more than a hobby. I am finally able to afford to buy books occasionally and am attending my 1st book signing next year!
I love reading but I also enjoy crocheting. When my eyes get too tired to read, I’ll crochet and listen to en audio book!
I love cooking. There is something about trying a recipe and having it come out delicious and everyone loving it.
I enjoy reading and making crafts during the holidays.
I love diamond painting, counted cross stitch and quilting. I usually listening to audiobooks while doing these.
Reading makes me happy as well as spending time with family, friends, and my dog.
The hobby that makes me the happiest is reading. Don’t lets my overactive mind calm down and think about one thing at a time versus multiple things at a time. I love the pictures that the words draw in my mind and if the author is really good I can actually see the film as I’m reading.
I don’t have a lot of time for hobby’s except reading haha… but I did just get into re-binding books. And that’s been a lot of fun!
I enjoy baking and listening to audio books! Mich love!
Reading and creating bookish content are my primary hobbies. My job isn’t very creative, so it gives me an outlet for that side of myself.
I make felt ornaments each year for family and friends.
I also love to cook and read.
I LOVE felt ornaments!
Reading and cooking. Love trying new recipes! I’m not a great baker though. Happy holidays!
Diamond art and reading
Other than reading I love making flowers out of book pages! I’m lucky because I work with books and we get alot of damaged ones so I can use them
I actually just read.. I wanted to try diamond painting but I don’t have any extra rooms and I have cats and one of them is insane they’re a little hyper but once just insane and there’s just no way I could do them because they would have those little b things just everywhere and it would be destroyed before I even pretty much got started so they were not even be a point in me trying. But other than that I would have already tried that LOL so I thought about trying The diamond painting I seen them in drink coaster size that way I can hide them from them cuz they’re so small
My biggest hobby is reading, but I also enjoy writing, drawing, hiking and I just started making candles. So I am all over the place, but reading is my most consistent hobby and my most loved.
I love to read and draw.
Reading and colouring in 🫣
I love to make crafts, I like to sew and make stuff with my Cricut machine
I like to crochet. It calms me. I make blankets. I have made baby blankets to give to new mothers. I have also made blankets to donate. Thanks for doing another great giveaway. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
I have a few i cycle through. My main one is reading and audio books (obviously) but I cycle through a bit of gardening in the summer months, growing tomatoes, cucumbers, runner beans, strawberries. I also enjoy making bread, haven’t got it quite right but it’s fun to try and the family enjoy trying the different ones I make. Finally I am learning Welsh. I am Welsh but was never taught it in school (that’s a complete history lesson that most probably would not be interested in) and because I am Welsh I feel I should learn my language. It’s a hard slog and quite difficult to learn but I am trying. I’m in my third year currently (takes about 7 years to learn to speak fluently when you’re learning part time apparently) and also passed my entry exam after year 2. I’m not a confident speaker, yet, but I can read and write in Welsh some basic sentences, paragraphs and phrases. When travelling around my local area I now try and read the Welsh signs before the English to see if I understood them correctly. There are some lovely Welsh words out there, probably my favourite is Cwtsh which means hug, but it’s more than a hug. The Cambridge Dictionary has the following definition
a loving cuddle (= an act of holding someone in your arms), especially one that makes someone feel very happy and safe.
Diolch 🙂
Reading and Cooking. 💛🤎💛🤎
Reading and running.
I love gardening, it makes me happy to grow things and to just stick my hands in the dirt and connect with the earth.
I love to color Adult Coloring books, puzzles of all kinds they calm me. And I am now learning to crochet. Merry Christmas 🎄🎅
Up until recently I didn’t have much time for hobbies as both my sons played Rugby League, my husband was the coach and I was the team manager so a lot of our time was spent at the club, but now I love to travel and go on several holidays a year my most recent was a road trip around a very small part of Texas and I fell in love with the place, other than that I have an extensive irregular choice shoe collection and am slowly building my pretty book collection so that when my oldest son moves into his new house early next year I can have my own reading space!
I love to read, this make me relax and happy
Baking. It’s been a passion of mine since I was in junior high and my parents came home to discover cream puffs all over the kitchen counters. It was an impulse to try something new and I’ve never stopped over fifty years later.
Reading actually makes me happy it keeps me calm and keeps me from going insane. I also love to bake and try new things and see how the family likes it
The HOBBY THAT MAKES ME HAPPY:
Is gardening. I have a giant garden that I grow lots of veggies and some flowers that attract birds, Then when it is cold outside I have grow lights that I grow plants inside so when it warms up outside I can plant them there.
Besides reading, photography is a hobby and my part-time job, but I love it. Tennis is another thing I do, but I tend to watch more than play these days. I also love vintage clothing and costumes and I am working on incorporating those into a personal photography project.
I wish I could say a have a hobby I flips and change all the time . I always start new projects spend heaps on it then after a while get bored with it . And start all over again .
I do enjoy Diamond arts but with my medical problems atm my hands don’t work 100% .
I guess reading my kindle and listening to autobooks is my main hobby well maybe not a hobby but it’s what I enjoy most and relaxes me .
My hobby is making crafts for my friends. I’ve made 10 no sew blankets for Christmas gifts this year. I also do bottle crafts with lights and I’m about to start resin crafts and paint marbeling for fun and if they turn out well, I’ll give some to friends.
I not only read but I also do legos to help soothe myself when I feel to overwhelmed with things. It’s very calming for me. Thank you for the chance.
I love to paint. I love most mediums, watercolor, acrylic, oils, pastels, charcoal, and even paint by number. My mind is totally still when I paint. My grandfather was a master Dutch painter and I am lucky enough to have a number of his works. At 50, I was in an all-consuming wreck of a job. It was one that just sucked you dry on a daily basis. Then I had at best a 45 min traffic laden drive home. With the right accident, it could be two to three hours of bumper to bumper assholes. Some days I arrived home in tears or throwing up in my driveway. I needed something and I looked at my grandfather’s painting and asked if he had given me any of his genes. I was willing to try. I signed up at a local art center and began my journey of discovering my inner painter. I thought of nothing while I learned to mix colors, create abstracts and learned to sketch. It was a godsend when I needed it the most.
I have a bunch of crafting hobbies. Jewelry making, crocheting, vinyl print, but my latest had been dabbling in resin. I love the little creations I can make.
My hobby is reading. It’s relaxing and let’s my imagination go wild.
I make jewellery & knit. The knitting is mainly for our dogs & the jewellery is for my business which I sell at show all year round.
Reading is my hobby. It lets me escape for a bit and live another life. Between work, school, and a 6 month old granddaughter, I don’t have time for much else but when I finally lay down at night, I read. It makes me happy.
I love feeding my birds and am an avid birdwatcher. Each morning i fill up feeders and the action begins!
I have a few that make me happy. I crochet, it’s a form of stress relief and quiet time and I get to make all kinds of cute amigurumi plushies or maybe a cardigan and sometimes I’ll make mittens, scarves, beanies or afghans for nursing home residents and homeless people that want them. Another hobby that makes me happy is baking.
Animals are my passion. I have four cats and my daughter loans a horse one day a week. They make me happy 🥰
My hobby is diamond painting and bingo. I am in a online group that plays bingo for diamond painting supplies. I have meet many new people with the same interest.
Running in a park; letting loose and enjoying nature!
I love to read and do diamond art
Reading makes me happy.

Reading is the hobby that makes me happy! I also love taking photos and sharing book reviews.
Reading and cats make me happy.
Reading makes me happy
I do sweepstakes and giveaways. It helps with the bills and you can win some awesome stuff.
Reading, music, and dancing makes me so happy!
Reading is definitely a hobby of mine. Tough question because I realize that I don’t have another hobby. At one time, it was gardening, but the older I get I realize that it’s really tough on my aging body.
Cooking. My grandmother (100% polish) taught me to full blown cook when I was 7
My hobby is reading (obviously). But I also love traveling, going to the museums, and going for long walks.
My hobby that makes me happy is reading and most crafts, because I like to change things around, so I do reading just for me and the crafts I do for others because they are always a gift.😄
Reading and doing diamond art is a hobby that I enjoy todo.
Reading, of course! Also my husband and I like to restore old cars. Not old old, most have been hot rods or muscle cars. Right now we’re doing a 1965 and a 1966 mustang.
Music, I love singing and playing guitar. I started learning percussion meditation and it feels so good to meditate through rhythm and sound.
Reading would be the number one thing that makes me happy! I never go anywhere without my kindle. I also crochet and am currently making a counted cross stitch Christmas stocking for my second grandchild, it won’t be ready for this year lol.
Reading is definitely a hobby of mine but I also enjoy hiking. But more importantly my family is what truly makes me happy.
Reading is my main hobby. I love how you get pulled into the story. I also love puzzles, crocheting, diamond art, and coloring. All things that helps me with my stress levels and makes me happy
I absolutely love reading. I love how you get pulled into the story. I also love puzzles, crocheting, diamond art, and coloring. All things that helps me with my stress levels and makes me happy.
I love crafting, scrapbooking, journaling, making things out of recycled items makes me happy 😊
I make quilts. Just simple imperfect quilts. I havent made one in awhile but I love making them. My daughter cuts the squares of fabric for me and I make them.
Reading and playing games on my phone.
My biggest hobby other than reading is home making. I’m a homeschooling sahm of 2 girls! Currently pregnant with baby #3, it’s a boy!! I love all things parenting and I too have chickens lol. I also have 2 dogs.
Reading, baking and watching shows about murder!🤪
Right now my hobby is toting my kids to and from their activities haha. So when I can I read or listen. That’s my biggest hobby that I love. And watching trash TV with my hubby in the evenings when we can.
A hobby that makes me happy is painting. I don’t get to do it often because I’m afraid of my 3yr old getting into the paint and making a mess. While I’m trying to paint. Therefore making me not happy.
I love to turn Pandora on and sing along to my favorite songs. Alone, of course!!
Reading is my hobby. I am not a craft person. I would love to learn to crochet tho
Absolutely Reading is first, whether physical, ebook, or audiobook. Watching great programming on streaming tv, and my most favorite is travel. My mental health therapy requires lots of travel! lol 😆 Just returned from London and Paris, and planning Wales, Italy, and Croatia this spring. Therapy is important.. 💜
Reading and gardening
Making Bracelets and Pens ,I currently have made so many I enjoy giving them away
Well of course reading is my biggest hobby followed by window shopping. I don’t buy very often but I love looking.
Sitting outside on the front porch when nice and sunny to read, nothing like that natural vitamin D.
Happy Holidays 🎄🎅🧑🎄
I love reading and babysitting my grandchildren. Merry Christmas 🎄
I like doing crafty things, scrapbooking, bujo journalling, making wreaths and centerpieces and diamond art to name a few.
I paint rocks. Lol luckily i live near the beach and have access to a lot! I paint them and gift them, i especially love leaving them in random places for people to fund and usually take them on vacation with me and leave is the new cities I explore. I leave a little tag on the back so people who find them can post on FB when and where. I have had a handful report back. It makes me smile.
I like to create scrapbooks with pictures from various trips or sporting events, or just random pictures
Reading, I’ve always enjoyed it.
I love reading and golfing
My favorite thing to do is curl up with a great book and read! Going somewhere away from reality in my mind is my happy place! If I’m not reading for fun, I’m in the yard, cleaning up, mowing, clipping, watering and pulling weeds. I like to garden, but I’m not a big fan of the heat so I tend to do more in the Fall/Winter and Spring and then sit back and watch everything grow and bloom…Summers can get very hot and humid here on the East Coast! I tend to retreat to the air conditioning or head to the beach to read when the heat becomes too much.
My favorite hobby is sitting by my pool and reading. Even in the winter I sit outside to read by the water because it relaxes me.0
Reading, diamond art and hanging out with my family
I like to crochet 🙂 I just finished up some crochet coasters that look like a succulent when you put them in the basket that goes with it for Christmas gifts for the ladies in my family (the guys do NOT care about their furniture!) I am now working on a baby blanket for my soon-to-be niece or nephew. I also think I will crochet some games like Memory and Tic Tac Toe for him or her. It should be fun! I hope everything turns out well 😀
I love to play cards. It really does not matter what game it is. I like the game but I also love the Fellowship and the snacks that often come with playing. It is something I have been doing since I was a small child and it just makes me happy to be shuffling a deck of cards.
I enjoy crafting and making homemade by hand tshirt quilts for my family. Right now I am making snowman ornaments and door wreaths along with two tshirt quilts. One for my youngest son and one for my future son-in-law as christmas presents. I sew them by hand, so they take several months to make, but I can’t wait to see the looks on their faces when they open them christmas morning. 🎄
Read and playing games with my family
I like to read and bake. Oh and I love to watch anime.
For me it is reading and photography

I retired a year and a half ago and now I have time for these hobbies. We also have a great neice or nephew coming in June so I am looking forward to that. Thank you again for this opportunity.
Reading, cooking/baking and growing tomatoes in the summer are all hobbies that make me happy.
I used to cross-stitch for fun, but the. I had kids and now my vision won’t alllow it. Currently my hobby is reading, audiobooks or Kindle; I always have a book with me.
I do paintings and my grandkids love them so they are excited around their birthday or Christmas to get a new one I try to do what they really like. My daughter asked me to do a paint party for 2 of my granddaughters and their friends in a little of a month!
My hobbies include reading, painting, drawing, crafting, and watching sports. This is my favorite book that you have written so I really hope I am picked to win. I hope you continue this story as well.
My hobbies lately have been painting, crocheting and reading.
Quilting, knitting, and listen to audio books.
Hi , my love of reading has no bounds ! I’m a stay at home wife who loves to read , depending on the day , a good coffee, tea, hot cocoa sitting on my porch and watch the sunrise and sunset reading !! My other hobbies also include diamond art painting !
My hobby is reading and listening to books. I love escaping into other worlds. It also gives me perspective into some of the issues I’m dealing with lets me see other points of view. My mother gave me this gift and it’s been a passion my entire life.
For years I did crafts and counted cross stitch. But I got bored. I returned to reading. I loved reading from my early childhood through my teen years. I got married and left that behind. But after I got bored with my crafting I returned to my love of reading.
I enjoy crocheting, but I like amigurumi best. For some reason, I dislike making sweaters.
Reading is my number one hobby that makes me happy, but coloring is a close second. Escaping to another world in a book will always be my favorite.
My hobby is Reading. I just love to sit and relax while reading a good spicy romance.
Favorite hobby is reading.
Reading is my favorite hobby. I started reading when I was 4. I’m never without a book. I have 4 Kindles, so if the batteries run down I have one to use. It also helps when my granddaughters visit there’s enough for them all.
I love to read.
My main hobby is reading. But I also make things on my cricut, paint, make dream catchers, and knit some weird shapes for the hell of it.
Audiobooks…audiobooks..audiobooks!
Well of course my favorite hobby is reading. It takes me out of myself, to different places, so I can see the world and its people from a different perspective.
I was debating saying baking, even though I rarely do it lately but after reading your answer I realized it’s mine too. I have a couple rescue dogs, guinea fowl, chickens, and currently 5 goats, but considering #5 was a buck between Feb-May I’ll probably have 2-8 baby goats as well. I love going out and caring for my animals. I love that they all come running to me when I go outside and the joy I get caring for them.
Listening to audiobooks is my hobby/obsession.
In the summer I garden. I became obsessed with daylilies years ago and have over 50 plants. In the winter I read.
I love doing arts and crafts with my children. It’s hectic and crazy but I love the finished projects and the fun along the way
I honestly love DIY projects around my home. I get a sense of pride at having been able to either fix, make more pleasing to the eye or create something from scratch with my own two hands.
All of the things we do around the ranch. Taking care of the horses, alpacas, our llama, chickens, turkeys, guineas, barn cats, dogs, and our house pig – Hamilton. You truly can never have a bad day when one of them shows affection in their special way.
My hubby is making jigsaw puzzles. 1000 piece is what I enjoy. My daughter and I make 5 or 6 a month. It’s very relaxing. I’m also an avid reader. I belong to Kindle unlimited and read endless romance books.
I love to read and make cookies with my youngest daughter!!
I’m a crafter. I love making things and sewing. But I have to make them for other people. I don’t like making things for myself.
I love gardening and all things that keep me moving! Golf, tennis, volleyball and just jogging is totally fun for me in my spare time!
I do a lot of reading (probably when I should be doing housework) crafts love making things all crafts and like to try something new. I love it when I can make something different
My favorite hobby is reading. Or maybe legos, but they are more expensive than books. Lol. Adding the kindle app to my phone was a dangerous choice because now I read all the time. My goal this year is to read 300 books, and I’m a 35 away. I need to pick shorter stories, but I like big books. Lol
I got into sewing during the pandemic and I love it. It’s my alone time to wind down and I get to be creative. Thanks!
Besides reading, jigsaw puzzles. Especially if it’s the 1,000 piece puzzles.
I l8ke to craft. Lately I’ve been making jewelry and beaded suncathers.
Crocheting, reading and lately jigsaw puzzles. I’ve done three 1,000 piece two 500 piece and one 300 piece. It’s a fun way to pass the time and hang out with my beau in his man cave, lol.
I love to read, draw, crotchet and write fanfiction. I love expressing my creativity. When I draw, it lets me take a little bit of the beauty in front of me with me. When I read or write, I’m falling or creating new worlds and I love to make people smile and laugh. When I crotchet, I throw on my headphones and listen to my music or an audiobook and just enjoy creating something warm and beautiful. They’re all very relaxing to me except the writing when I’m stuck on a plot, LOL!
I have two hobbies reading bring a calm to my soul that is so therapeutic for me. However cooking for my family or someone who needs a meal is the best thing I do! I love to cook, I spend hours in the kitchen to make the meal in my head come to life to feed the people I love most is the happiest you will ever see me!
Reading!!!!!!
One hobby is that I collect vintage and antique jewellery. I love trying to find out the history of each piece.
My second hobby is of course reading.
Hmmm I do love reading but my main hobby that gives me the most pleasure is music. I like slot of different styles from Elvis Presley to Roy Orbison to Bill Haley to Kylie Minogue to The Cure to Sarah Jory to Shakin Stevens to Mikey Cyrus to Roxette . I love my music. It once took me 15 years to track down one LP by Roy Orbison and soon as I did the damn thing came out on CD the following week 😝
I have 2things that I love to do. Reading is one and swimming is another. I read every day without fail and swim five out of seven days a week weather permitting. I love in Naples FL so the weather is pretty good most of the time.
My favorite hobby besides reading is making herbal remedies. I love to learn about new herbs and how they can help heal the body naturally. I also make my own homemade body oil, fave serum along with salves and tinctures.
Reading, Buying Books & Raising & tending to my Chickens and Quail!
Reading is the hobby that makes me happy. I’ve read 249 books so far this year and have no plans on stopping. There’s nothing better than living vicariously through each one.
Reading has always been part of my life. I love it!
Any downtime I have is spent listening to or reading books. Walking on the beach while listening to a book is a best day for me. Unfortunately I don’t live near water so walking in my neighborhood while listen is the norm.
I LOVE to read – it’s my stress reliever. My other hobbies are doing puzzles and baking yummy treats.
I have a few hobbies that I absolutely love. My very favorite is reading. I love an author that can pull me in right away with an awesome story…. you might know who I am talking about… hint… hint… My second favorite hobby is Legos. I have all the botanical sets. I could not keep a real plant or flower alive so I have my pretty Lego flowers. Last but not least, I love to do jigsaw puzzles. I have an app on my IPad that I use. We also bought a camper over the summer and have been camping quite a bit.
Prior to having kids, I loved to scrapbook and make greeting cards. It’s just too difficult to keep them out of everything right now so that has been put on hold. I also love reading. I’m so thankful for the Kindle app because I can easily read from anywhere as long as I have my phone.
I have a handful of hobbies that I enjoy to keep me occupied. I enjoy DIY felt needle kits ( do as gifts) knitting scarves & blankets (as gifts as well) if I get bored with those I’ll switch to a puzzle to finish.
Hobbies with the kids are paint rocks with paint markers or bling out some of there shirts for school with them.
I love to read and also binge watch tv shows late at night.
I’ve gone through stages in life where I’ve really poured myself into different hobbies. In my early twenties through my early thirties, I was really into ceramics. I have an entire nativity scene that I poured, cleaned, painted. The camels stand about 16″ tall and the wise men, Joseph, the sheperds, they’re about 12″ tall. I also created an entire Christmas village with a church, tavern, house, wooden bridge, etc. So cool. And tons of ceramic ornaments on the tree. About the same time I was doing that I was heavy into Cross-stich and have tons I’ve framed and hung or gave as gifts. Reading has always been there, I need to read at least a little bit every day. I would love to start taking some different cooking classes and I think I’m going to try my hand at Diamond art.
For me all I have is reading. Due to health issues I can no longer get out to go places. Guess you could call me a home body now lol but I just feel safer being home. Occasionally I do try to color and absolutely LOVE jamming out to music daily.
I have 2 things that make me happy. Reading in my library or playing with the grandkids.
Reading is my main getaway but I also enjoy crafting , making my kids tshirts and holiday decorations.
Besides reading, I love cooking. Since my son was born I was trying to improve my baking skills. With much or less success. 😅 Thanks for the chance!❤️
Other than reading, knitting and crocheting make me happy, as do gardening and building furniture.
Growing my fruits and vegetables and then canning. I get to share all the good eats with my kids and their families.
Reading is the only hobby I have right now. It makes me happy, but it’s not a cure for my grief. I probably should try to find something to do that helps more, but a 3 yr old and 1.5 yr old are hard to work around.
Reading, painting, crafting or listening to music are my favorite hobbies.
I have a few hobbies and it’s my greatest pleasure to indulge.
I love reading and now I’ve added listening to audiobooks. I love music so I can listen to music for hours and I love to dance. I dance when I’m cleaning sometimes 😂
Pyrography (burning pictures on wood) I have burnings in 10 states at the moment.
Reading is my main hobby.
Competitive Scrabble!
The Hobby that makes me Happy:
House plants. I have lots of house plants That I love to tend to and care for. Its my moment to be amazed and the growth of life.
Also love playing VR games with my husband. Anytime I can get a win its a great day in the Barr Household 🙂 .
We both enjoy listening to audio books. So while fishing in our VR we have J.A. Huss story time 🙂
One of my favorite hobbies that make me happy other than reading books would definitely be doing my type of puzzle. Could be word search, cross words, Lego, 3D crystal puzzle, wood puzzle car, plane or train models, diamond art, or even just plan puzzles. Doesn’t matter what I love doing them all.
Mainly reading, tho I have started listening to more and more audiobooks while getting fairly mindless tasks finished. And I’m trying desperately to get my mother to try to listen and enjoy audiobooks now as her eyes are slowly going blind, and I’m concerned about what she will do when the mascular degeneration gets to that point. Also, watching movies w her, which is becoming interesting, bc aside from her constant Qs, she is rewatching favorite films & classics she’s seen maybe hundreds of times but now she has no memory of seeing them and she has the joy of watching them as if for the very first time. Admittedly (while NOT wishing to get ill) I often think I would love it if I could go back and see fav films or read fav books for the first time. Read the Turning Series or Jordan’s Games for the first time. That would be so amazing! (And if I could go back in time to when I first read them, that would be the chef’s kiss!! )
I love to READ!
I love to read, create various types of paintings, and write poetry
My hobbies now are reading and making mini books of all the books I have read. I used to do so many things I couldn’t really pick a hobby but since I became disabled my reading hobby has gotten to where I read most all the time when I’m awake. I love that it takes my mind away from the thoughts of what is wrong with me and my pain at that moment. I can open up a book or my Kindle and immerse myself in a good story. I have also began making mini books of all the books I have read since I started reading again at the very end of 2020. They are far from perfect, but I love doing it. I’m still working on getting caught up to where I am now, and it’s fun to see all the covers again and look back at them all. My plan is to put them in clear “Christmas” balls and hang them from rope I have to hang on my wall in my room. It keeps me going and gives me something physical to do when I can.
I enjoy sewing and crafting. I can also do this with my kids.
I have two hobbies. One is reading and the other is showing my boxers. We have an rv and travel to dog shows with our 3 boxers, Journey, Ziggy, and the baby Halo.
My hobby that makes me happy is Baking! It helps with my stress, and lets me spend more time with my nephews.
The thing that makes me happiest is being outdoors. It can be sitting outside reading, going on hikes, traveling to national or state parks. I love to see this beautiful country and feel so blessed that I can enjoy the beauty.
Ok so my hobby is reading it truly makes me so happy. Spending time with my kids and family watching a movie and eating popcorn 🍿.
I love making cards, really any paper crafting.
Reading and gardening makes me happy. Having my dog around me makes me happy.
My hobby that makes me the most happy is reading. I love getting to live in so many situations/worlds/stories while creating my own.
I really like quilting and machine embroidery and also flower and veggie gardening. Stained glass will happen again one of these days.
I like reading but in the fall I like to walk in the woods looking for mushrooms.
Honestly, reading is my hobby. I’m a bit of a home body and I enjoy reading. While it may take me some time to finish each book I pick up, I enjoy every word. I love finding new authors through social media and reading their work. That’s how I found you ❤️
As I live in Florida, my hobby is shelling. It provides such a zen atmosphere with the sounds of the waves, the birds flying overhead or scurrying past your feet, and the warmth of the sun.
Reading and walking.
Thank you
Reading makes me happy! I feel like I’ve missed something if I miss doing a bit of reading every day. In the warmer months I like to sit outside on the porch and watch the world go by. That’s about it, nothing too exciting. Lol
I enjoy your farm! Outside of reading, hockey is a hobbie of mine! We support our local SPHL, southern professional hockey league, Knoxville Ice Bears. It is a lot of fun and something we do as a family. It is a great time and we have met a lot of great people.
I enjoy reading and trying out new recipes.
Besides reading, I LOVE baking! I am not an artistic baker but enjoy making sweet treats and breads to share with people 💖
Reading obviously 🙄. But painting and such. Don’t get as much time for either lately.
Reading mostly. And while I tend to be lazy when I’m home, when I’m on the clock I love to organize. (And I do a lot of that at work, and also why when anyone is looking for something specific, they come to me to see where they might find it.) lol
My hobby is running a virtual bookclub. We meet once a week on live events . Spin a wheel to pick our next book. It’s been a really fun adventure past year! I love it
Reading always makes me happy. I have also found great joy in gardening and branched out into vegetables 2 years ago, which has been mostly a success.
I’ve had many hobbies over the years (collecting Thomas Kinkade plates, collecting medieval pewter figurines, and collecting English teacups and saucers). But the one hobby that has stayed the test of time is reading/ audiobooks. It’s wonderful to step into a world that takes me away from all the stress real life throws my way…. Although I have very little stress these days, I still love the escape. Not only is it my favorite hobby, it’s my addiction.
I love my yoga class so I try to make it at least 3-4 times a week. My other favorite thing is to bake my winter desserts. It’s a lot of work because I make several kinds of cookies but my kids love them and it’s usually a once a year thing so I do look forward to eating them 😉
Well reading is the obvious one but I also love baking and by no means am I a professional baker but I just love making treats to share with my family, coworkers and friends. Hubby and I also love hiking.
I work on old cars! People are always amazed that a woman is into restoring cars and always ask my husband the questions. He usually defers to me because he doesn’t remember things : )
I’ve alos just taken up painting. Painting to Gough has so easy to do paintings with step by step videos that cover everything I need.
I loved hearing about your farm. Sounds like my kind of fun.
I love to make handmade cards. Coloring, cutting and creating something fun. Sometimes it’s for myself and other times it’s for others. ☺️🎄
My husband’s grandmother makes cards like this! I collect the cards she makes, because of the love and work that she puts into making them for people.
Cooking and baking. It relaxes me. I love doing for others and feeding people is seriously along the same lines for me as taking a Xanax. I love the peacefulness and the calmness that I get every step of the way, even when I’m planning a menu, and buying supplies.
I don’t have a whole lot of hobbies. I love to read and color for relaxation in adult themed coloring books. My days are pretty hectic at times taking care of my elderly parents who still live on their own but need assistance.
My hobby is reclaimed wood working. I have always loved making thigs that have been discarded into something amazing and beautiful!
Reading and watching reality tv like The Traitors (UK and US versions) or Survivor or The Voice☘️
Recently, I’ve gotten into crochet. I love it because it relaxes me and I can also listen to audiobooks or watch tv while I do it. And it gets me away from doom scrolling on my phone.
Listening to audiobooks while doing EVERYTHING. I also love to cook and try new recipes. And during the season, watching my Chiefs play football.
Love to read! It takes me away from everyday stress, if only for a short time.
Favourite hobbie is reading. Hoping to increase my book challenge next year but I will thankfully hit my goal for this year!
My hobby is not a physically active hobby, I love researching and learning about random things. I wanted to be a cultural anthropologist when I was younger… I research cultures, languages, anything that catches my interest I’ll become interested in and go down the rabbit hole of information. It keeps my mind occupied and it’s quite interesting. I do wish I enjoyed physical activity more, but I enjoy my research so much.
I love crafting and playing cozy video games!
Being outside is always the best but if I’m hiking, or following my camera lens or foraging, then being outside can turn into a sublime adventure.
My favorite hobby is writing. I’ve written my first book which is on Amazon (I’ll avoid the shameless promotion out of respect to Julie…), and in a few months I’ll be fully retired. That means I can make real progress on the sequel and another stand-alone not in the series. Both are half written and I can’t wait to finish. Julie, I envy your tenacity. It takes a TON of work and endless creative drive to write, and you just keep going. I’ll never be as good as you, but you’re a great role model, and your books keep me motivated.
Oh wow, crocheting, puzzles, listening to audibles, gardening, doing stuff with grandchildren. I’m working on a cross stich stocking for my son in law but I wouldn’t call that a hobby ! Lol
I really love to read. Also, I enjoy baking different treats.
I record my son’s basketball games and edit his highlights for social media. He loves getting the clips and I love sharing them.
I love to cross stitch!
I enjoy feeding our 5 horses. We have a older stud that has to be fed a special diet twice a day. So when I feed our older horse for the 1st time I give the other 4 horses treats so they don’t feel leftout. Also, I enjoy looking for goodies to resale in my shop.
Reading & baking
My hobby is reading! 🤣🤣. I also love teaching my 7yo daughter cooking and baking. I plan to have her help make some chocolate chip banana bread today! 😊
I love sitting outside to read. Moving to Florida has helped that immensely. I also love live music. This past summer, I got a lawn pass at the local amphitheater and was able to see 11 shows starting the season with Chris Stapleton and ending with Hootie and the Blowfish.
My hobby is reading and do crafts with my great nieces and nephews
My hobby is a two-in-one I guess you could say. It’s books but not just reading, I have also taken the on the adventure of writing my first book and I plan to publish it on KU hopefully in 2025 once I figure out how to edit it and create a book cover. (By the way, damn these two book cover models are pure fire)
I read at least one book a day. I love to read and it drives my family crazy that I would rather be in a book world than in the real world. I get it naturally though because my Grams who loved to read got me hooked on her historical romances when I was a teenager and I will never forget when 50 Shades came out and she was reading it at the kitchen table and I was like Grams OMG you are just going to read that sitting there and she was like sure am and if any one has a problem with it they can leave. This was in the middle of Thanksgiving Lunch at her house I thought my uncles were going to hit the floor from shock. She then proceeds to tell everyone that it was a great book and she couldn’t wait for book 2. This was at the hype of those books. After I sat down with her and I was like weren’t you embarrassed and she like CandyCane (her nickname for me) sex in books in nothing to be embarrassed about I had 5 kids if people don’t know what causes that its there problem. Enjoy what you enjoy and never be embarrassed about it. life is short live for those moments that make you feel alive.
So books today are big part of what I enjoy, wish she was still here so I could recommend her better books.
My hobby that makes me happy is: I like to write for fun it makes me feel happy, accomplished, less stressed & also heals too & it’s fun to do.
Reading!! 📚💓
Mine is jigsaw puzzles. I don’t take a close look at the image and that makes it more of a mystery to put together.
I make crystal bracelets
I’m happiest when I’m reading or traveling
My dog, friends and family make my happy!
Baking is my happy hobby. If I could bake everyday I would. I just have to be able to give it away as soon as possible.
Reading makes me happy.
I don’t know if you consider listening to audiobooks all day a hobby. But I do it very well. Haven’t had many interests in other things the past couple if years. It keeps me occupied abd happy. And you can get things done while listening. I probably listen more than the average person but I like it better than watching TV.
I would have to say trying out new recipes for my family.
My hobbies are reading and baking. I enjoy them both because when my mind is being loud and anxious I can always count on baking to distract me and ease my mind. Reading also distracts me and I love how it can transport you to many worlds.
I feel like most of us will have the same hobby of reading, lol. Which I love to do to escape reality. But I also love to turn pictures into cross-stitch patterns, and then make the cross-stitch. I usually do them as Christmas presents for someone each year 🙂
I love to read alot! Spending time with my 3 beautiful children and shopping sometimes lol.
Reading
I love anything crafty. Recently my two biggest projects have been finishing a cross-stitch that my great-grandma started before she passed, and a scrapbook that follows my husbands military career! But I also love painting, I’ve been making Christmas cards as well !
My hobby is reading and coloring in adult coloring books. I’m a stay at home mom at the moment, and will be going back to school soon hopefully to further my education in healthcare. Another hobby of mine is, collecting perfumes and lotions, specifically niche and indie perfumes. When I can afford them anyway. I would love to eventually learn how to make my own perfume or perfume oils and start a small business with that.
Reading and baking.
Reading makes me happy. Because when I read I can do everything. I have cerebral palsy and I can not walk. So when I read I can walk and do everything that I only dream about.
I love to sew and restore old furniture. I paint chairs, cabinets, etc. I reupholster what needs it.
I play video games and do embroidery and I also mess around with electronics repair.
My favorite things to do are reading, gardening, doing puzzles and of course spending time with my family
I have tinnitus and to alleviate the noise I almost always have an earbud in one ear. I listen to audiobooks and podcasts. I am retired so I can listen while doing my daily tasks, shopping, driving, etc. If I’m not busy I enjoy playing word games on my phone. None of this sounds very exciting but at almost 75 it’s my pass time.
I love to embroidery, read, and cook and bake as well as spending time with my family.
Reading, crafting and baking make me happy.
Reading and I like to cross stitch also its a been awhile but sometimes I do scrap booking.
I love to read especially when the weather isn’t great, but I also love to hike and am lucky to live where there are lots of opportunities to explore the mountains, forests and beaches right outside my front door!
Reading would definitely be my number one hobby, but I also enjoy puzzles, whether crossword or physical and spending time playing with my pets.
Reading I love getting lost in the world you create as well as some of my other favorite authors.
I love to knit.
Reading and working on jigsaw puzzles, which works as mindful meditation for me. I also love playing board games and video games with my husband since we’re both fiercely competitive, but it’s all in good fun.
Reading and gardening….
thank you !
The only thing that makes me happier than reading are my fur babies. My 4 dogs are my children, I would love to someday be able to have them approved as therapy dogs so I could bring them to Children’ Hospitals to help bring a smile to the kids faces.
Gardening – as the results are delicious and healthy
A hobby that makes me happy is reading.
I’ve been an amateur photographer since the 8th grade back when there were things like a darkroom for developing photos. Almost all the artwork in my house is photography and most of it is my own. I love being able to admire a photo while at the same time reminisce about what I was doing when I took it. Subjects include people, animals, nature and architecture all attached to good memories.
I enjoy reading and baking.
Camping! Getting ready to camp, when I’m camping, and even after getting everything back in order. We bought an RV two years ago and it makes me so happy.
Baking and ready make me happy
The hobby that makes me is reading because I can get lost in a book for hours at a time and it relaxes me.
The only hobby I have right now is listening to books. It is my escape from everything.
Karoake makes me so happy. It literally makes my heart sing ♥️
I sing barbershop (a cappella), with a chorus and a quartet. Singing always puts me in a good mood.
My favorite hobby is gardening.
My main hobby that I do every day and day dream about is reading. I’m an introvert and other than my parents and my husband and my dachshund furbaby my social group consists of my bookfriends/ bookboyfriends.
When I’m not reading I’m knitting. I’m an experienced beginner who makes a lot of mistakes. I mainly knit blankets for our local animal shelter. It relaxes me to knit for animals because they don’t mind if I mess up and have little mistakes.
I also LOVE to play bingo! If we’re at a casino that offers bingo that’s where I am. If the casino doesn’t have bingo then I’m a big fan of video poker.
That’s all I can come up with for my hobbies.
I love to hike and explore waterfalls! I have a waterfall bucket list for each state I’ve lived in (MN, MI, WI) and have visited a couple hundred so far.
I’m learning to do acrylic Painting. It is relaxing and stressful at the same time lol.
Diamond art
Reading and listening to books
Reading or gardening
I was in love with doing stain glass but time and space stopped it . Now I am a reading junkie!
Planning on retiring soon so I will set up a new workshop and listen to audiobooks while I try and get creative again
Win win right?
For me, anything I can make or learn how to make with my own 2 hands. I have made soaps, been a beekeeper, made candy for Christmas and crocheted blankets, tops and sweaters. I am making a teddy bear right now for my future grandbaby.
And then there is my absolute favorite hobby of escaping into a good book and going through all the emotions. Love you Julie for making me feel!
I like doing crafts. Everything from sewing to making cards.
Diamond art, crochet, sudoku and mostly reading.
I love reading, listening to music(dancing while I listen) and baking cookies and cupcakes.
Reading and knitting
Other than reading (which is a given) I love doing diamond paintings. Right now my falls are filled with Christmas themed pictures.
I love reading because it allows me to escape into different worlds and experience lives and emotions beyond my own. It sparks my imagination and helps me learn new things about people, places, and ideas. It’s my way of exploring, growing, and connecting with stories that resonate deeply with me.
My hobby that makes me happy is gardening, unfortunately I can’t in the winter so I watch a lot of movies all winter long and look forward to being back out in the hot summer sun.
Reading is definitely my most loved hobby but I will occasionally color also.
Two years ago for Mother’s Day, my daughter got me a crochet hook and yarn. After watching countless YouTube videos I can make a blanket LOL. It is relaxing and I feel like I created something special.
Reading is my hobby, I also like to paint and draw and recently write
I love watching my flowers/plants grow. I also love being crafty. I’m just getting into making shirts/cups with my own graphics (mostly inappropriate cuz that’s me!!). Making my family fun personalized stuff for Christmas this year.
I also LOVE reading!!
I also enjoy my nature walks/hikes. I love close to some beautiful spots.
I love to make shirts and other crafty things. I am getting ready to try my hand at spray painting my book edges because I want all my books to be unique.
Reading of course is my favorite, I am really enjoying doing yoga. I started recently. Just spending time with friends and family cooking good food and laughing
reading and coffee
My hobby is walking. It really helps to relieve stress. I also like to garden. Also, watching classic television shows and movies are other things I like to do that make me happy.
I love my 45 years contesting hobby.
Not really nothing besides reading and collecting reading swag and books
Reading is my happy hobby! When I first came to look at my house before I bought it I loved the floor plan because it had the 3 bedrooms that I wanted but then had a great room and a formal living room. I walked in the house and saw that formal living room space, said “library! I’ll take it!” like 27 days later the house was mine and it’s still my favorite room in the house. My books make me happy. Reading books, looking at books, shopping for books, reading books, buying more books. All the books. 🙂
Reading is the hobby that makes me happiest!!
WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY THAT MAKES YOU HAPPY? Obviously reading but also DYI around the house and playing with my animals ❤️
I love trying to keep plants alive in my house & during the spring/summer months I love trying to landscape my yard.
My hobby is reading. I love to read or listen to books. Every spare moment I have I read. And second is baking but nothing crazy complicated just simple baking. Yum. Happy holidays.
Reading makes me happy. Just forget the real world for a while and get into a great book!
I adore going to visit new places and enjoying live music- gigs, well known bands or unknown artists. I used to quill paper but not done so much for a few years.
My favorite hobby is to spend time with family when we can all get together.
I love to make handmade greeting cards and to scrapbook but, I don’t do either of them often due to lack of space.
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
Reading is definitely my favorite hobby ❤️
Audiobooks. I’m disabled because of Lyme Disease and so this hobby is something I can do while laying in bed and doesn’t zap my energy. Love the romance genre and I’m a huge Julie book fan!
My hobby that I love to do is crochet, I can crochet hats, animals, winter accessories, plants, purses and etc. I love a challenge.
I love to read and cross stitch.
I love to crochet, I’ve been making baby blankets, baby cardigans, hood hats, it makes me so happy, and when I gift what I’ve made and see how happy I can make others it brings me joy. Thank you for the chance.
Don’t really have a hobby really enjoy reading as a way to relax. Also spending time with my twin grandkids brings me joy.
My favorite things to do is quilting, canning every thing I can think of and watching movies. I know this is gonna sound weird but up until 5 yrs ago, I never liked books. A friend I worked with introduced me to the world of audiobooks then and I have listened to thousands of them now. Day and night I have them on listening; in my car, while I sew, while I’m canning even while I’m in bed sleeping. I just remember the last chapter I’m on when I lay down so I can find my place when I wake back up. Lol weird I know but it helps me sleep and works for me!! I average about 400 hours per month listening according to Audible. I love it 💜🩷💜
I like to repaint my outdoor ceramic decorations, like gnomes. But my main hobby is probably playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I didn’t pick it up until 2021 and I know a lot of people are over it, but I like doing my daily challenges and interaction with the characters.
I’ve never met a craft I didn’t enjoy. My preference is for making weird or odd accessories and home decor.
My hobby is reading. I have a abundance of ebooks, paperback and hard cover.
My only real hobby is reading. Occasionally I’ll break out my adult coloring books and color to relax.
Reading – I can literally read all day. Also online jigsaws, and doing tapestries – in real life, not online!
My hobbies include bowling, diving into a good book, sharing my thoughts through book reviews, and supporting authors whenever I can. It’s a joy to combine my love for reading with helping others in the literary world!
Crafting, scrapbooking, crochet, wreaths, and all sorts of other crafty stuff. Pinterest has so many great ideas that my sisters and I like to take on.
Reading and papercrafts (scrapbook style cards etc) are my expensive hobbies. I also like gardening but not the weeding part so I’m happiest if my garden mostly just grows itself other than water and fertilizer.
But reading (audio, ebooks and paper) … often at least one of each on the go at once keeps me busy. And paper crafts + audio is the best of both.
I enjoy baking all year long. When I bake I give it to numerous friends around my area. I enjoy seeing their smile and their eyes light up tasting a treat I have for them. My sons are grown and not around to sample the goodies and my husband doesn’t need all the snacks, so I share it as much as I can. When I am not baking I am playing around with my Cricut machine. The ideas for that machine are endless.
Reading, gardening, and cooking/baking. Reading for those relaxing quiet times to recharge and gardening, cooking, baking cause I can share the fruit of my labor with friends and family.
Reading makes me happy. Gives me an escape into other worlds.
Reading, baking and adult coloring books make me happy.
Thank you for the chance
Reading ❤️❤️
Knitting woollen socks, picking up mushrooms in the forest, reading and traveling make me happy!
I’ve taken up doing my nails and I enjoy it a lot
Reading, walking my grandpup and watching Christmas movies during the holiday season!
I have a few hobbies. I love reading my mother gave me that gift. I sew clothes and other items. I love crafting. My other hobby has always been baking. Christmas usually means 72 dozen cookies in a variety of flavor, shape and sizes.
Reading and knitting – both relaxing.
Reading is the thing that makes me happy. Read about 150 books a year. And JA is one of my favourite authors
Reading is my first hobby that makes me happy. Doing my nails is my second favorite hobby that makes me happy because I always feel better about myself when I have my nails done.
reading
Reading is definitely my number one hobby. I do like movies and TV as well, and jigsaw puzzles and board games (though no one ever wants to play them with me). All sedentary pursuits lol
Going for a ride on the Harley with my husband. It just feels so freeing being out there on the open ride the wind in your face. It helps me release some of my stress and fills me with a sense of peace.
Reading makes me happy, but I also like baking cookies a d cakes
My hobbies include quilting and cross stitching as well as trying new recipes.
I like reading, and taking on sewing projects that I never seem to finish. And watching eye make-up tutorials (even though I don’t wear make-up very often). Talk about a rabbit hole!
Kia ora – I read fiction books to escape from life. Its my refuge.
Listening to audiobooks and making stuff. Beadwork, cross stitch, watercolors, collages, whatever the crap I can get my hands on.
I have ocd and adhd. For whatever reason hand writing list, either it’s a grocery list or things to do around the house or books I want to read; for some reason it is so calming.
Reading is my favourite hobby. Being stuck inside and basically being bed bound due to my health its about finding stuff i’m physically capable of too. I love spending time with my dogs and i also love mini legos!
Crafting keeps me sane
Besides reading. Doing puzzles especially word searches and jumblers
Thanks for the chance!
Reading and listening to audio books!
Going to the gym and swimming
A hobby that makes me happy is crocheting. I just started relearning how to crochet and I’m in the process of making a blanket. I also love to read. I try to read a few chapters a day but sometimes I don’t get to it. And I’m also teaching myself how to tattoo!! I’ve been practicing for a bit now and I’m thinking of giving myself a tattoo soon. I just need a little bit more practice.
I like crafts. I especially like trying new crafts and creating things from scratch.
Researching genealogy is one hobby that makes me happy. It’s like solving a giant puzzle, digging through newspapers, land records, wills, censuses, family stories and relating them to what happened in history during those times is really cool!
Hobbies that make me happy are baking, reading and doing cross stitch
Reading and Knitting
I guess I would say my hobby is my participation and work in my Parish Choir. My Choir Director likes to tell everyone that I’m his secretary/administrative assistant. 🙂 I do all the music planning and scheduling of cantors, send out the communication emails to both of our choirs (he directs two parish choirs). I also cantor at both of the parishes he supports as well as at all four parishes in our cluster for funerals and weddings. So, I’m at Mass every week for at least one Mass, if not more. It’s a lot of work and a big time commitment outside of my actual 40-hour business job to keep my creditors paid (LOL), but it also brings me satisfaction and I feel more centered and content after Mass or rehearsal.
That’s pretty easy – reading, lol 😆
Thanks for the chance 😁
Reading! I loose myself in the books I read and find myself loving the worlds and characters created. It’s a nice escape from the day to day task as adults we have todo to survive.
Well of course I love to read!! I love to spend time with my daughters. Go to see movies and watch them play volleyball. Thanks for the giveaway.
Out in my garden, just me and the worms! It’s my happy place!

I love to craft. I like painting wood items or ceramics. I love to create new things. I also love to diamond paint. It is soothing to sit let all my cares go. Reading is also a big hobby.
I really love to read and thrifting! I feel like I’m treasure hunting and love the thrill of a good deal. I also really enjoy my job, I teach 11th grade US history honors.

I love to read romance books. It’s my escape and stress reliever. I love to bury myself in a book and let it take me on a journey.
Reading and writing are my two biggest hobbies with occasionally making a dream catcher or two.

Reading is my relaxation and collecting paper and hardback books signed when possible is my hobby
I won’t read them just keep in immaculate condition x
I love cooking, and woodworking. My wife has only had to make dinner maybe…30 times in the past 10 years. Lol
Reading is what I do to just relax, but I absolutely love to travel and experience new places. Researching and planning trips is just as much fun as the travel itself, and luckily my family are good sports and seem to enjoy our adventures. I always include something cultural/educational (pasta making class in Italy) and something adventurous (cage diving with sharks in Hawaii). Memories are my favorite thing to collect!
I love gardening. My garden is happy place. In the winter my she shed is my happy place where I can read and do puzzles
Reading or binge watching my favorite shows is my go to. I am a person who is very happy to stay home so not many hobbies really.
Reading is such a relaxing hobby. Its peaceful but yet exciting. Doing things, going places but most importantly meeting people. Okay so they are imaginary people but yet when I read It gives me a feeling of being there, enjoying the things they do. Oh and I do enjoy Thrifting.
I decided this year to plant a small garden and plant some flowers in my backyard. It was so full filling to see my veggies and fruits and flowers bloom and grow. I love to be outside and this gives me a feeling of satisfaction.
I love to write poetry, I have been writing poetry since I was in the fourth grade. It calms and relaxes me. It also helps to get out all my emotions and feelings on paper. I also love to color in my free time, its great to rewind and shut out the outside world for a while.
Other than reading, which is ever and always #1 for me, I’m a crafter (crocheter, to be precise). Working needle and thread or yarn is meditative…plus, bonus, pretty/nice things to gift 🙂 <3
I like painting!! I love taking old pieces of woodwork and painting or restoring them. And of course I enjoy reading. That’s a major hobby of mine as well
I love to craft and create. The last year and a half or so I’ve found my way back to water coloring. I water colored gifts for my family this year and can’t wait to see them opened.
Gardening is my hobby i love to change my flower garden up most years.
I love reading and playing with all of my pets (I have 2 dogs and 3 cats)! I also like to give blood (platelets) and help people!
I love reading almost anything that is well written. I love learning new things-especially about horses. I am training 3 yr old and 4 year old mares. I also really enjoy observing animals and people.
Collecting books! I listen to audiobooks and read ebooks. The physical copies are trophies for my shelves.

Finished projects make me happy. I have made a baby blanket for all of my nieces, nephews and grandies and they were never ready by the time they were born but we got there eventually!
Besides reading, I love jigsaw puzzles
My hobbies are reading and gardening (flowers only) and both make me happy🙂
Diamond painting and of course reading
I love gardening. I may not be great at it but I enjoy it so much. I suck at keeping any plants alive inside the house though.
I like drawing, painting but I love read books and manga. I love to watch anime too. But I have an other side who likes parashooting / tried once/. :)):)):)):))
I love to garden, to read, to decorate, to raise animals, to hike and even to drink … but I think my passion is probably my biggest hobby and unfortunately it’s my job too … I teach.
My cars, and my photography!
My husband and I are big into classic & muscle cars. He has a 68 Camaro, that was his first car. I have a 69 convertible Camaro that he restored for me. It’s my dream car! We “share” (hint, it’s mine 😂) a 2010 Camaro SS. Those are the biggies.
I am a photographer, have officially been one ever since I got my art degree. I rarely go anywhere without a camera. I photograph our local minor league hockey team, and concerts for 2 different web based publications. I don’t get paid, and I don’t mind because I do it for love of the game / show! For my day job, I’m the school picture day lady, and I love the kiddos! Photography is my life!
Reading is the hobby that makes me happy.
I love to read
My bestie and I love crafting together. We choose each other a different craft each of our birthdays. We paint pottery, make clay figurines have painted canvases and door signs. It’s one of my favorite hobbies ever. Personally I love photography and have made a few scrapbooks or books online. My one hobby I wish I could afford more of is travelling. Love exploring different cultures or states. Especially warmer climates! Thank you so much for this chance ❤️📚
Reading is my favorite hobby. If reading doesn’t count, then doing crafts with my grand daughters would be it.

I’m a pretty mean poker player and of course, I love to read
I love to take pictures, especially of my kiddos and my nieces!
Love to garden and crafting. Making wreaths was my favorite. Was really into craft shows and selling wreaths but my husband’s health declined and I turned into a full time care giver. I lost the joy of crafting. I have tons of beautiful ribbon and craft supplies but I can’t seem to find my passion again. Grieving is a bitch…maybe someday I’ll find the joy again.
My newest hobby that makes me happy is puzzles. I bought a couple nature scenes that were so pretty, now I look for new ones to do all the time. For the past year there has been a puzzle board on my living room table at all times .
Of course reading will always be my #1.

I have 2 which are reading and baking.
Reading, swimmng, baking, gardening and volunteering at my local library
I enjoy refinishing furniture in addition to reading
My hobby is reading, even books with subjects that I don’t always agree with or like. It’s interesting to get a perspective outside my own and I feel like it keeps me from too harsh or judgmental with people whose life experiences may have been vastly different than mine.
I have ADHD so my hyperfocus hobbies change almost quarterly but my biggest hobby that never changes is collecting books. Whether going to book conventions, or signings, or the bookstore, or thrift stores, I am always on the lookout for books I dont have and want.
I know this is hard to believe haha but reading is actually my hobby. That and traveling when time and money permit, but we prefer to travel in the U.S. for now since we like to drive.
I love to crochet and sew!
Reading, puzzles and crocheting.
I love reading. It makes me happy and relaxed.
Reading had been my happy place. My normal hobbies are crafting but I guess in my old age in getting tired of it! I just want to relax and reading is my jam!
My hobby is reading since COVID. Before that, I read occasionally but was addicted to mindless TV. When I had to start working from home during the lockdown for a while I just couldn’t stand the noise of mindless TV anymore. My husband didn’t know who I was cause I mean I watched tv constantly. I started reading more and since then I read and listen to at least 70 books a year if not more. I love these books.
I also love to garden but I’m really bad at it. I just can’t seem to grow anything. Ugh
Reading, Cross stitching, and Coloring
My favorite hobby aside from reading is hiking. I love getting out in the fresh air, the sun on my shoulders and just being for a bit without distractions.
I enjoy reading and gardening as my hobbies
Roller skating! Quads. Outdoors, when possible. Love it.
Aside from reading? lol I don’t really have any hobbies other than reading.

reading and collecting stuff to decorate my kindle in😍😍
My favorite hobby is reading. It lets me get away from reality and stress for a while!
I love reading and collecting books. That’s what really makes me happy. It’s a costly affair! My husband (as with many) isn’t always on board with my addiction but I have this need regardless. I also love looking for pens. Every where I go I’m always drifting to pens if I see them. This makes me happy. 😊
My hobbies are all over the place. I like to read, crochet, knit, working on my small hobby farm, making quilts, and doing different things on my silhouette machine.
Reading is my number one hobby, followed by gardening..working in yard, as my back permits
Does reading count? I’ve lost a lot of myself and hobbies since becoming a solo mum, but I still like to bake, crochet and draw when I get the chance. Reading is the only consistent hobby lately though
The only thing extra I have time to do is read. I read a few chapters each night before bed. It helps me wind down from the day!
I am a quilter. I love making quilts, and a variety of other sewn items including bags, table runners, wall hanging. They are like art, everyone is unique and are created with love. I love to make special quilts for my family and closest friends.

My hobby is Baking. Especially with my nephews on Christmas, it became a tradition.
I really don’t have much for hobbies but I spend my time before work watching my 1 and 2 year old grandchildren and that makes me happy, that and reading of coarse
My hubby is reading probably pretty common in this neck of the woods haha and window shopping at all the books I can’t afford ahahha
I guess I can honestly say my one and only hobby that makes me the happiest is listening to my audiobooks. It brings a peace to me that not much else does. I listen while I’m working, driving, at home cleaning, cooking yard work. Listening to books keeps me focused and encouraged to stay busy. I also have chickens and love to go out and take them food, I love cutting up fruits and veggies for them. And like you I enjoy gathering eggs! We have 8 Rhode Island reds and they lay good. And btw did you know they absolutely looooooove eating their egg shells!? I dry the shells out after I break them to use and crush them up, they go for eggshells before any other food!
My first hobby is listening to Audible books. I have listened to all under the JA Huss pen. And I have to say the Sparktopia was well worth the wait!!!! You have a way of creating stories that just suck a person in and leaving her wanting more! I think I listened to the first Sacred Trinity book 4 times in a row, lol. Ok fan girl moment over… 2nd hobby. After my son died by suicide 6 years ago I had all these vases with nothing to do with them. So I researched creative ways to recycle. Now 6 yrs later, I have a ton of painted (on inside of vase) and flower arrangements. I create them for holidays or just because. I pretty much kill any in live plant so the fake is fine with me. The are so colorful and brings me joy by brighten up my home. It’s difficult to find joy in my life after the loss of my son, so these are 2 things I do to help take my mind in positive directions.

I would have to say reading.
Sewing n crochet 🪡🧶
Without a doubt, reading is my go to hobby. I’m fortunate enough to have a job where I’m able to listen to audiobooks most of my work day. Then I often listen/read in the evenings, and I always listen to an audiobook to go to sleep. I love having my days filled with so many book, definitely a childhood dream come true!
I also enjoy painting, doing diamond art, and random Pinterest crafts that look easy but usually turn out horribly wrong LOL.

Gardening!…
Don’t always know what I’m doing or what I’m growing but I like that, it’s like a surprise to see what appears 😆
And I also like to buy flowers that are near dead to see if I can save them – so far so good!!
I absolutely love singing! It really calms me and the more upbeat songs also get me dancing around! It’s such a fun activity to do!
Crocheting is my all-time favorite hobby. Nothing beats curling up on the couch with a cuppa tea, lots of yarn & true crime shows.
My biggest hobbies are reading and photography.
Reading. Yes, an escape, but something I love. I do occasionally do counted cross stitch, but I associate it with stress. When I’m massively stressed ill pull out my sew box and work a pattern. It allows me to blank my mind and focus.
The farm life sounds great!!
I love to photograph nature. It’s also good exercise with all the walking I do to capture the perfect shot.
Reading, being with my dogs, and crossword puzzles. I also like watching true crime shows and my very secret indulgences are watching The Challenge on MTV and Sister Wives. My husband thinks I am so weird, especially because I still watch The Challenge.

I do my own nails, making fun designs on them. It keeps my hands out of the cookie jar so it kills two birds with one stone. 🙂
A hobby that makes me happy is reading.
I love to read and love Goodreads to keep track. I read so many books I lose track of what I have and haven’t read! I used to crochet and might get back into that, but for now I’m just trying to keep up with youth sports and all the big kids school things. 🙂

I love running. Up hills, up stairs on flat lands or wherever.
Outside of reading I love to craft

I LOVE reading first and foremost. Then anything crafty – scrapbooking, card making, laser cutting, etching, I love it all.
Hobbies, ok I love to get up early and go watch sunrise at the beach. It’s my favorite way to start the day. I love to read & listen to audiobooks. I love to crochet & make up my own patterns on the afaghans. I am learning to quilt now. So far so good. 😊

If I’m by myself. I love to spend time in my shed shed doing anything creative. Coloring, building, puzzles, diamond painting, drawing, wood burning, printing pictures, cutting vinyl and/or writing. But the thing i enjoy the most is what my husband and I do together. We golf. Any day of the week as long as it’s above 53 degrees outside, and we will golf all day. We don’t always have the best scores but the more we play the better we hit and control the ball. It’s a new learning experience everytime.
I like working on older cars.
I read. That’s what makes me happy besides my family. lol

Watching movies makes me really happy.
Not sure if it is a hobby but I watch a lot of westerns.

My hobby is reading. I’m dyslexic and was always told (by my teachers) that I couldn’t read as a kid. The truth of the matter is that I could read it just needed to be a book worth reading. Which is where you came in. Thank you for writing such amazing stories!
One of my hobbies is doing Diamond paintings. Another is reading because it’s one of my favorite things to do and I’m obsessed with it. I also like to collect knick knacks like shot glasses and postcards.
It’s Bookstagram !! 🥳🤍 I take so much pride in my IG and truly love setting up photo layouts / writing reviews. My favorite thing is putting work into my book community and connecting with my bookish friends. It’s honestly brought me so much happiness this year that I can’t imagine my life without it anymore ☺️
My hobby is working out. I KNOW, most people boo me out of the room when I answer with that, but it really is a stress reliever, mood enhancer, & confidence booster.
I love to make greeting cards because you can finish them quickly. I am terrible about sending them out and have found people to give them to so they can do that. I listen to over 300 books a year. And most recently I started crocheting. I have been crocheting little ornaments for a Christmas tree. Unfortunately, I have developed tennis elbow while doing this activity.
I enjoy taking my dog Riley out for walks. I also like enjoy reading
I love to read, go fishing and take care of my pig.
Reading, reading and oh more reading.
The grouse grind hike!
My hobbies are reading, dancing anywhere and everywhere, singing to my favorite songs on the stereo pretending like I’m just as good (in my own way 😂🤪) of a singer as the original voice.🤣 Taking daily walks with my sweet cat Zazu and later giving her lots of belly rubs. ❤
Sewing is my thing. I love to make quilts and I’m beginning to dabble in apparel, but alterations are the bane of my existence! I have literal stacks of them. Sigh. I’m hoping to spend Xmas day sewing, finishing up a quilt made with firemen fabrics for my great nephew. His dad is a proud fireman and I’m hoping that the quilt will bring the family lots of joy.

So crafting has been my hobby for years. I’ve done it as a side job and it’s taken all my spare time. In fact that was my name inmysparetime. But last year I got burnt out. I decided to quit. I was already down to only doing one big show a year from four plus special orders, Now this year rolls around and my sister decides to have a craft booth. She asks if I can help fill it and set it up. I can never say no. So now I’m scrambling to make crafts. I was just thinking today what I was going to do with my time now. I don’t know what my hobby is going to be.
My heart is happy spending time with my granddaughter in the kitchen making her favorite cake, a Texas Chocolate Sheetcake and listening to music while its baking in the oven. Fun times!!!
I love to read!!! It would be my number one hobby. But I taught myself to crochet. It’s so peaceful just to get lost in the stitches and your own little peaceful place for a little bit.
Thanks so much for the chance.
I love to read.
Reading! Pure escapism and delight!
My hobby that makes me happy is reading.
Reading is probably my hobby that makes me the happiest. It’s a way for me to escape into another reality. I also really enjoy listening and playing music.

I love reading, playing games on my xbox and taking photos (photography)
Photography. Never alone with a camera.
My hobby is definitely the gym, it’s does so much for my mental health, I dont have any specific body based goals, I.e lose weight/gain muscle. I just love being there and pushing myself to the point of near failure then I know I did a good session and finnaly the adhd storm in my head goes quiet for just a few, pure, moments of bliss
Books, books, books, and more books…. everything books! Reading them. Being near them. Being around authors. Going to panels. Going to conventions. Going to signings. Libraries. Bookstores. Books.
I read, yep I read a lot!! So far this year I have listened to 48 books on Audible and have read 398 books on my Kindle. When I turned 65 I made myself a goal of reading every day to keep my brain active. I am noe 69 and I have only missed 1 day!! (It was stupid crazy busy that day at work on Saturday so when I got home, instead of reading I decided to take a short nap and BOOM..it was 4am Sunday morning!!). My crafts that I love doing are cross stitching and crocheting. The repetitive nature of them is very soothing. And I like have something at the end of my efforts. I tried adult coloring books but that was way too boring and just felt like a waste of my time. I now read so much that I rarely watch TV and have deleted my cable service!! I do a little streaming but I probably only watch 2 hours a day.
My hobbies are reading, watching tv and cross stitch.
Wigs! When I was younger I loved changing hairstyles and color. Now I buy wigs and go crazy. But I only use them on holidays to different countries. I even create alter egos for them/me. 😅
Normal everyday hobbies; reading and music ❤️
Reading, playing Sims 4, and Lego. I’ve also spent this year working my way through all of the Star Wars movies for the first time, which has been fun – I have three left to go!
I love to read, paint, draw, counted cross stitch and crochet.
Hmm..I find most of my hobbies enjoyable otherwise I’d probably not call them hobbies, but chores lol. I enjoy nature photography, chalk pastels, and creating adult coloring books in my spare time.
Besides reading, I love to crochet. I’m not the best and it takes me a long time to finish a project but I love seeing the final result and know I made it myself 😊
I grow a lot of daylilies, so gardening is a favorite hobby along with baking.
I love reading and photography. When I can find an absolute minute for myself, I am very happy.
I have a lot of hobbies I love. I used to love sword swallowing, but after we adopted our little girl, I had to give it up, a bit dangerous and we didn’t want her to see mommy do it and think she could too. I like crafting, traveling, writing, gourmet cooking and anything circus or circus adjacent! Sadly, I have the hobbies but lack the time!
I like to do crossword puzzles and read horror books.

Sorry, I have no idea why it entered the comment the first time, I must have bumped the send button!
My favorite hobby is reading and listening to music most times. Sometimes I like to go for a walk and listen to nature.

Crocheting is a new hobby I’ve learned and I love it .
Reading and gardening when weather permits.
I LOVE reading!
Scrapbooking, I live to design pages with pictures and graphics with a theme.
Reading is first, but I love to cross stitch and have been trying to teach myself how to crochet. So far I can’t get past a straight line. There are only so many straight lines you can have (Zander I mean one solid straight lines). My husband keeps showing me classes at the local community college to learn whatever the hell I am supposed to be doing.
I love to crochet – it is almost meditative.
Reading does it for me.
My favorite hobby is Baking and Reading. Both are special in their own way. I definitely read more then baking because well its easier to do through out the day.
My hobby is reading books, collecting books, buying selling and trading books, and also rearranging my precious books on my shelves😆
Reading, of course!
I am almost 70 so I have acquired many things that make me happy. I love doing crafts, working in my flower beds, reading, play guitar and hang out with my grandbabies. I just love living life
Reading, crocheting and rearranging my book shelves (trophies) 🙂
I recently got into bookbinding and it’s been a great way to create new editions for my bookshelves!
My me time is reading. It helps me escape the stress of the day. Even if it for an hour.
My hobbies are reading, working on image graphics, and posting for authors about their books. I also love bowling—I bowl on two leagues, which keeps me active and motivated. There’s something so satisfying about improving my skills and enjoying time with friends at the lanes. Hobbies really do make life more balanced and joyful!
I’m not good at art and crafty things, but I am learning computer design and am utilizing it for my book reviews. I am trying to get better at making short films to accompany my book reviews.
Reading and planting. I love working in my yard and having flowers/plants in my home and office!
Baking makes me happy
My hobbies that make me happy is reading and crafting. I like to make shirts, ornaments, and tumblers.
I like to do online coloring. I start and have a hard time stopping.
My hobby that makes me happy is of course reading/listening to books. I love being taken to another world and live there for a while. Once I finish a book, I immediately start another! My other hobby that makes me really happy is coloring and diamond painting. I love doing this and it makes me so happy. I also love crafting, but being a perfectionist, I never think that what I craft is cute, and then it turns into a “not so happy” hobby. But I still keep trying. I have that ADHD thing that I love to pick up hobbies that I never finish. There is the intention of finishing, but it just never happens as life gets in the way, or the excuse of life gets in the way; i haven’t figured out which of those is the true statement yet.
The thing that makes me the happiest is doing crafts with my grandbabies to surprise their parents. I have three granddaughters age 5 (seperate parents lol) and one grandson 3
My hobby is listening to Audible books, listening to music. Both ease any stress that may arise during the day.
My hobby that makes me happy is listening to audiobooks, which is why it makes me so happy that you make one for every book! I have close to 1500 audiobooks (shh, don’t tell my husband) and I’m super stoked that you are taking your audiobooks to the next level by having a full cast production, it’s like a movie in my head!
My only real hobby is reading, and it makes me infinitely happy!
My hobbies are teasing, listening to books, and playing with my friends son (I’m his surrogate memaw). I’m a stay at home wife with one teen still at home, so I have a lot of free time for reading. I do what I can to help my friends, bc they’re also my “family”. They all know that I love them and I’m always here for whatever they need. Today, I’m babysitting for my friend bc she’s down with the flu. That just means I get to play with an AWESOME 2yr old!
Reading 1st and foremost! But also enjoy gardening, indoor plants and baking (especially during winter the holidays. Thanks for the chance and hope you and yours have a Great Holiday Season❣️
I’m an audiobook junkie, last year I listened to 777 books, this year I am listening to #699. (I love your books because I never even need to read the blue I just know I can download and enjoy. So thanks for that!!
Reading is my first & dancing is my second ❤️
In addition to reading every genre of books, I also crochet in my spare time, which is getting more rare since I am now also babysitting my two youngest grandchildren on different days of the week.
My favorite hobby has become Reading. I love to read new books and feel all the emotions and excitement. I also love to collect writing pens. Pens of all kinds from everywhere. They just make me so happy.
Reading is my favorite inside hobby but my joy is creating memories with my family. We have passes to the Aquarium, High Museum of Art, Fernbank Science Museum (a favorite) and a pass to all State Parks! I’ve slowed down but love seeing the kids’ play sports: soccer, volleyball and flag-football! P.s. my adult daughter has chickens and we love them. They truly are little velociraptors! 🙂
I really don’t have a hobby… I work a lot, and I travel a lot with my job. It may sound fun but it’s work. I am an EA. I can’t tell you whom I work for but it’s a great job and I am grateful
I do have two dogs that are super demanding, So I am up very early and take them on a nice four miles walk every day. When I am not here my family is called to service. They are not so happy about it.
While walking I listen to audio books. Yours of course are my favorite (such a brown noser)!
I love to sing and cook 🙂 I actually went back to college by joining the choir there first. Now I’m taking other classes again too.
I also listen to audiobooks… pretty much all the time. I listen while I drive, while I clean, cook, etc. I don’t have time to sit down and read a physical book, but the audiobooks give me the freedom of multitasking.
Reading obviously, 🙂 I love to bake – breads, pastries, desserts, anything really. I also video game with my kids. I’m really bad at it, but it’s fun and I love spending time with them. I also enjoy going for drives with my husband. We explore the small towns around us (rural TN) and get to find new places we didn’t know about before.
I am an avid crocheted, crocheting makes me happy. My favorite items to crochet are baby items. The look on the parents face when they open a hand crocheted gift is priceless.
Besides reading, I enjoy working in Photoshop. I do a lot of photo editing for people in various Photoshop groups on Facebook.
I really enjoy getting comfy and reading a good book 🥰
Honestly it may sound cliche but reading is the hobby that makes me the happiest
Running is my favorite hobby and makes me very very happy
I paint, I read, I listen to the seasons change, at one time this place was abundant with delightful creatures, horses, pigs, sheep, chickens, dogs, cats and the lovely noise they made. Alas, time has made most beautiful ghosts that dance through my memories. But they are still there, I hear them whispering to me, their soft sounds comfort.
I love how much you love your farm! It’s fascinating to me since I’ve always been a city girl. My #1 hobby is reading and listening to audiobooks. They are my escape. My #2 and #3 hobbies are baking and doing jigsaw puzzles. This means my heaven is listing to audiobooks while I bake and popping in a few puzzle pieces while my bake goods are in the oven and cooling. ❤️

I love to take our therapy dogs on visits, do things with my Girl Scout troop and read. You are an awesome author. Your bookscarevoutside of the norm.
Reading is my favorite hobby. I used to paint ornaments and holiday stuff but had to stop. Just had my 2nd cataract surgery yesterday so I just might try it again once I can see again.
Artsy crafts are my hobby. Mainly diamond painting stuff, I do journals, bookmarks and coasters the most. Starting to get into resin crafts and recently bought a resin 3d printer that I can’t wait to try. I love to create and give gifts so this all makes me happy
I have several hobbies but my most favorite hobby is dancing. It takes me to my happy place and always makes me feel better. 😊
My favorite hobby is reading. Takes me places and allows me to meet people I’d never dream of meeting. I also like to bake.
Reading is my favourite hobby but I love gardening and canning. I also love growing indoor plants. I’ve had a “jungle “ in my house before it became a popular thing to do.
The hobby that makes me the happiest…. I am going to go with crafting. Especially if I am making it for someone else. That is where my dopamine comes from. 😆 Creating for others to enjoy and love.
Reading, of course! I started really devouring books when I was 13 years old and haven’t stopped. I also love to craft. I’ve done many craft hobbies over the years (cross stitch, jewelry, scrapbooking etc. ) Recently, I made some decor items for my maximalists gallery wall in my bedroom. And a faux fireplace for Christmas stockings and Christmas decor. All out of my cardboard stash. 😀
I love to complete challenging jigsaw puzzles because it helps me zone out and relax.
Reading and crafting as I can get lost and picture myself in that world
Reading is my happy place right now. I love to paint and do crafts but can never seem to find the time. But I can fit in a few or more chapters of a good book every day.
A few of my favorite hobbies are reading/listening to audiobooks, hiking, board games, and puzzles. Just have to find the time to do them!

Like everyone else has said. Reading is my go too. I read upwards of 500 books per year in every genre (I don’t sleep much). But I also love writing just for my own pleasure. Sometimes there is a story I just

Reading and watching TV. I like mindless reality TV (i.e., Bravo) and crime shows on ID. Thank you 💙
I have always enjoyed art, and recently discovered watercolors. They are really hard for me because leaving white space goes against my nature.
I did, however, paint an ABC book.for my goddaughter’s baby to be. It is full of nature – B is for Bear, L is for Luna Moth, U is for Universe, X is for Xantus, etc. it’s not professional quality by any means, but I don’t hate the results!
Reading.

Reading, baking, and going to listen to live music.
Reading makes me really happy and I also love to cross stitch.

Reading! Opening my kindle, audible or physical book and disappearing in a new world is my favorite thing.
Btw, LOVED the SH duet. The audible was amazing too. Bought both the kindle and audible because I didn’t want to put it down. Major book hangovers!

I understand what you mean about feeding and seeing how happy the animals are when it is feeding time.
Every, night my dogs get medicine. I sing a song about medicine (and it always makes my teenager either laugh or roll her eyes at me) to them and it makes me laugh how they get all excited to get their medicine wrapped in a treat.
Homemade greeting cards and decorating cutout cookies for all the Holidays are my hobbies.
I honestly have too many hobbies. But at the moment journalling is my happy place. I love the creativity and record keeping.

Putting puzzles together with my daughters
Fun – spending time with my animals refreshes my mind and reading is my escape. Both activities are essential to my wellbeing. Also lining up a vacation for the following year to look forward to is important for my mental health. I enjoy baking, cooking, spending time with my kids and their friends as well as volunteering for their different activities. I also enjoy doing at least one thing new every year – a place I’ve never been to, an activity I’ve never tried, a new restaurant, a new museum, a different sport – whatever it is – something new to try for the first time so I don’t lose that sense of wonder at new things so that I can remember the enchantment of experiencing something new and unique in addition to stretching my brain.
Reading (I average about 240 books a year), photography which I use to create my own composited art, I absolutely love Photoshop. I have also been learning surface pattern design and am currently learning how to make Chinoiserie patterns in Illustrator, Tessellations are next. My plan is to market my pattern designs along with my artwork. I also make stained glass and plan to create better patterns with my new skills.

I love making things- creating something that I like and people like is the best feeling and I like to stay busy doing things I love.
Listening to 1980’s stuff
Lets see, what craft haven’t I done. ha ha ha. But recently I’ve been hooked (pun intended) on crocheting amigurumi creatures. I was terrified to try because I thought it would be really complicated. But my local library was having a month long open session class, so I went. It’s been super fun. I also got hooked on diamond art too. It’s so cool to see the picture start coming together as you work across the picture.
Baking is my new hobby I am now gluten free and needed to find recipes to make my favorite foods that I can still eat. They also need to be vegan/paleo.
Reading, baking, and traveling are all things that I enjoy.
Reading (of course!) and planning my next vacation.

Reading, of course!
My hobby is crafting. I enjoy crochet and various crafts.
Reding is my hobby, and it makes me so happy!
Listening to Audiobooks 📖
I would say reading is probably my most consistent hobby. I have my reader, phone, and books. I’m not confined to a particular genre. Just something with a good story and isn’t totally predictable.
I love crafts of all kinds. Just made Scandinavian star ornaments with my mom and daughter. Making my kids large chunky blankets for Christmas. Just anything that allows for creativity.
My current hobby that makes me happy has to be listening to audiobooks while I clean or cook.
Reading,
I absolutely love when I find a book I get totally lost in a story, that question if I actually did read it or if i watched it 😅
I tend to pick up hobbies like crows pick up shiny prizes 😂😂 Reading is the only thing that has stayed with me through the decades, thankfully now that I’ve got glasses I can see to read again! 💜
Yaaaaaassss Sick Hate! Thanks for the chance 🤍 A hobby that makes me happy is reading. In 2022, I actually picked up your books and they got me into reading again 🥰
Painting! I wish I could spend more time at it.
Reading and sewing make me happy as well.
I am teaching myself a new language. Very interesting…
Sewing in my little 10 x 20 studio is my hobby and happy place! The large plate glass window gives me a view of the pond and a variety of birds and animals. It is my definition of peaceful. I make clothes, costumes, quilts, whatever strike my fancy in the moment or when a family member asks. My granddaughter contacted me in October to make her costume for the ACOTAR fantasy ball she’s attending this month. It was a lot of fun being able to do this for her!
I Am a crafter.
Reading is my passion and the best part is that I have travelled the world through books, I’ve been to fae festivals, lived with dragons 🐉 and so much more. Thank you for the chance.
I am happiest when in my garden (growing lots of fruit and veggies) or reading a book.
Most of my time has been taken over by kids things. The only hobby I currently have is reading. But I’ve been looking into new crafting things because I like to stay busy
Reading of course!! I love reading with background music playing 🙂
Reading, listening to music, going to shows and concerts (I’m a metal head ), and baking! Baking cakes, cookies, different things to see if I can.

My hobbies are puzzling and reading. They both put me at peace while books also take me to a whole other world.
Reading and listening to music.
Gahh this is my favorite series by you. My new hobby as of this year is reading and listening to stories! After studying philosophy in college and heading thousands of pages in nonfiction, I finally found the love of fiction and have spent this past year indulging. I also like various forms of art.
What hobby makes me happy… let’s see, I love to learn which i take on different courses regularly, some are really random, like viking mythology, or practical like childerns course on autism and adhd/add, or really random cake decorating courses. So I guess learning for me is kind of a hobby lol, but obviously my biggest is probably reading. I read everyday, I read everything and anything there isn’t much I wont read to be honest. One day can be a reallllly dark romance, next day fantasy, next day cutesy romance. The is really nothing better than snuggle with a book while the kids watch a movie x
I do a lot of crocheting and reading. There’s just not enough hours in the day.
Reading, kickboxing and gaming makes me happy 🙂
Books and running. And now with audible I can combine the two 😊
I love genealogy research. Several years ago I found an envelope with the names and birth dates of my grandfather’s siblings written in pencil in my grandfather’s handwriting. Curious, I looked up the names on a genealogy website, and I was hooked.
I’m a hopeless crafter I flit frome one thing to another very rarely finishing anything! My house is full of half finished projects but I love it!
The hobby that makes me the happiest is creating beautiful AI art to share with others.
It used to be reading. But I’ve really been in a rut this year. Other than that I am really enjoying crocheting since picking it back up at the beginning of the year. And I am planning on getting back in to scrapbooking which I used to love doing.
Audiobooks and books. Just love them and makes me soooo happy.
First is reading! 📖 Second is crafting. Lately it’s crocheting and cross stitch. The great thing is I can listen to audiobooks WHILE crafting to join together the two. Oh and if it’s something I can share with my kids, then it’s just total bliss.
Besides devouring books??? I love to make bath and body products…crafting wonderful smelling lotions and shower scrubs!!
I have a few hobbies i love to read, I love to crochet when I can afford yarn, I really like doing diamond paintings, I sometimes do adult coloring books, and in the spring I garden
Reading/watching true crime
Oh reading for sure is my number one hobby. I also like those little diamond art kits, cross stitch, and puzzles. My mom and I thrift together, too.
Ooooh, great question! I have a few hobbies that make me happy! Gardening, reading, hiking, cooking, and baking 😀
Reading and watching horror movies.
Reading and traveling make me happy!
Proofreading, I do this in my free time
I do not have a hobby anymore. Unused to collect teddy bears which I still have but not I just enjoy reading and playing games on my phone.
I’m a crafter. I dabble in a variety of mediums. Just love seeing a completed project that came from raw supplies. Sharing this with the grandchildren now too.
I love to jog
I love cooking and making all things Sourdough. I have been doing Sourdough for around 4 years now. I also love to fish. We have a drift boat we take on the Colorado and Yampa every time we get a chance.
I love to read every day and I love to walk, fresh air helps me to relax.
It started out as a hobby, still is, and I turned it into a career cause I’m good at it: Tarot reading
I have three hobbies that I like to do: Walking, Coloring (adult color books) and reading. I enjoy doing all three of these things. I may spend more time reading but sometimes I can go walk while listening to an audiobook.
Reading and Diamond painting kits are my hobbies. Book nook kits are also fun haha
My hobby is coloring and traveling when I can.
A hobby that makes me happy is reading
My hobbies include reading, paranormal shows, crime shows, and most importantly my family.
Hobbies include napping, the Morbid podcast, and audible books. I gave up crafting years ago so the only thing I make these days is chaos.
Playing on my switch, reading romance books, and my group therapy
Funny you should ask READING. I love to read. I am not sure how I was lured to your books but I have LOVED all of them. I have to admit I haven’t dived into the Sci-Fi genre yet- I am getting there. It is not a typical area that interest me but I do love and trust your writing so eventually I will get there. I also enjoy gardening and organizing my house.
I love to read…it takes me so many places and introduces me to so many characters that feel like friends.
I have 3 hobbies that keep me entertained, the first is my family, I love been a part of my children’s and grandchildrens lives. They keep me very busy.
The 2nd is paper crafting, I love making 3d modles out of a flat piece of card, I even sometimes impress myself.
And my 3rd hobby, is to unwind reading in bed, it’s an important of my nightly routine. It helps to clear away all the stresses of the day and aid in a good night’s rest, as long as I can be strict with myself and not start the next chapter
I love reading and putting together puzzles! Although funny enough I can’t do puzzles at home because my cats would knock all the pieces on the floor so I can only do them when I have free time at work.
I love baking during the holidays and passing out tasty treats to friends and family. But my great escape is books, books and more books.
My hobby that makes me happy is gardening.
Genealogy
Um, did you really just ask us that?
Duh, reading/listening to audio books!
I do my audiobooks when I’m showering or in the car. I have a hard commute but not as bad as when I was outside Chicago. Sometimes I’ll add in some during home tasks and while doing paperwork.
Reading is my few minutes here, a few hours there, primary book consumption. I love living in other worlds, feeling others’ feelings, etc. And even in fiction you can learn a few real-life things.
I like to garden, and I’m addicted to audiobooks. Always listening to something
I like making decals, weeding is very calming for me. I also enjoy making clothing for my pups.
Reading is the hobby I’m enjoying most right now. I also love horse back riding, and I’m not so patiently waiting for life to throw me a bone so I can get back into it.
Crossword puzzles and reading are 2 of my hobbies, but my favorite hobby is decorating cakes. I find this to be the most relaxing bobby in the world. I can be upset or have something on my mind, but by the time the cake is decorated I have solved the problem. And we have a pretty cake to eat!!!
My guilty pleasure which I also call my escape cause it shuts my brain off from everyday adulting is audiobooks. I started crocheting as a hobby and I couldn’t crochet and read at the same time so I tried audio books and got hooked. A good audiobook with some of the best narrators is my obsessive hobby now. By the way I have sick heart and sick hate audiobooks and I loved them it would be great to have the actual books for my shelf
I enjoy making quilts
Photography
Baking — all the cookies I can bake
Doing anything crafty/artsy makes me happy. I try to do one thing a day, no matter how small. I’m currently making a mini album for a friend.
My hobby is helping people that need it like clothes or whatnot

I love arts and crafts. I love to paint and just get lost in my art work. If I don’t have paints and a canvas, I’m reading. My two best stress relievers.
Reading, I am listening to an audiobook, reading a different book on my Kindle, and a physical book so no matter what I am doing or where I am I have a book to read listen to.
Baking allows me to be creative, try new recipes, and experiment with flavors. It can be both meditative and fulfilling, and sharing a meal with others creates a sense of connection.

Well…. I have 2 (maybe the beginning of a 3rd).
1. Reading – this has been my happy place since I can remember. (I happily received a prize for reading 100 books in Grade 1). Somewhere I escape to daily, where I loose myself in other people’s lives…
2. Sewing – there is just something about creating….
(3.) Lego building – I don’t know if this qualifies… I recently started buying and building Lego sets with my kids (and by myself). They are just so pretty!
Reading! Also, doom scrolling….
Reading is what makes me happy and puts me at peace
My favorite free time is reading, and playing video games with my kids. We also like hiking and camping.
Reading of course. Although audiobooks make it so you can still read while doing other things. That’s the best invention ever.
I’ll e baking, crafting, photography and of course reading.
Besides reading is doing my garden every year.
My major hobby is reading. When I’m not reading I enjoy cryptograms. I guess I’m kind of nerdy.

I like to send happy mail, letters, cards, postcards, and stickers to my pen pals to make someone’s day because you never know if they are having a good day or a bad day so if they are having a bad day, then they get some happy mail to cheer them up. I also love scrapbooking with stickers, stamping, coloring pages, pictures, magazine pages, literally anything, it’s really fun.

I like to knit and crochet. I recently found diamond painting. I find it relaxing. Whatever I’m doing I’m listening to a book at the same time.

I also love solving puzzles whether its crosswords, word games etc. Figuring out the mystery relaxes me.
My third happy place…lies in music…I go through all genres. Like reading there is a song for all moods. Music and reading are mood shifters. I am always playing music. It keeps me grounded. And lately in an anxiety ridden world my hobbies keep me grounded and happy.

My only hobbies are reading & plants! They make me incredibly happy though.
I had SO MANY hobbies and things that I just loved to do, that brought me so much peace, joy, relaxation, and happiness. However, in my late 20’s, I was struck down with chronic illness and chronic pain, which changed everything. I pushed through, for years, trying so hard to maintain my hobbies, all while being extremely ill (constant trips to the ER, tons of procedures, hospitalizations, etc.) I absolutely love art, so even though my ultimate goal was to become a chef, I wanted to first receive a degree in art history. So, I attended UCSD, and received my degree in art history, with a special focus on The Renaissance. During those college years, I worked at a chocolate shop, selling and making chocolates, and a bakery (as a second job, during the summers). I also spent every free minute I had, cooking and baking at home, which was my absolute passion!!! I loved making everything from scratch. Nothing canned or store bought, except for the absolute basics — things like meat, eggs, rice, flour, sugar. I loved being creative and putting my own twist on recipes. I loved making food from different cultures: Mexican, Spanish, Indian, Italian, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, and so on. These are just some of the dishes I remember loving to make and serve: chicken enchiladas verdes, handmade tortillas, mole sauce to drizzle over different dishes, lasagne with Béchamel sauce and bolognese meat sauce, potato gnoccchi with pesto sauce, risotto, shrimp scampi, spaghetti carbonara, eggplant parmesan, chicken marsala, pad thai, green curry, panang curry, tom kha gai, mango sticky rice, Vietnamese spring rolls (shrimp, chicken, and/or tofu), samosas, mint and various other chutneys, naan, hummus… And so many more main dishes and side dishes. Then, there was baking… I don’t even know where to begin: cookies, brownies, biscotti, scones, muffins, cinnamon rolls, tarts, cheesecakes, cakes, tiramisu, pies, dessert breads, non-dessert breads. Then there were things like ice cream, sorbet, puddings, chocolate mousse… Then there were various candies, chocolates, truffles… Anyway, the BEST part about cooking and baking, was sharing it with others — serving up meals to family and friends, and bringing in baked goods to coworkers, brought me so much joy and happiness!!!! Cooking was my “love language”. Also, for me, cooking and baking was a major stress reliever. Unfortunately, I never made it to culinary school, due to my health issues. And very unfortunately, I was diagnosed around 2004 with Celiac Disease. As time went on, I became intolerant to dairy, soy, yeast, eggs, citrus, tomatoes, strawberries, and so many other things. I was living for years with debilitating, excruciating migraines, 10 – 20 days out of every month. I did an elimination diet and discovered that anything spicy was the main trigger for my migraines. I literally love all things very hot and spicy. So, having to cut out spicy foods was way worse and even more difficult than having to cut out things like gluten or dairy from my diet. At least there are substitutes for gluten and dairy. There aren’t substitutes for anything hot and spicy. I’ve tried adding in some spice over the years, and every time, a migraine from hell would follow. It wasn’t worth it. I had to give up all things hot and spicy. So, like I said earlier, I pushed through chronic illness and chronic pain, and tried to keep up with whatever (“hobbies”) brought me joy. Instead of getting upset at everything I couldn’t eat, I challenged myself to try new ways of cooking and baking, using different ingredients and different foods. It was a learning curve, but I did figure out ways to make some pretty delicious savory and sweet foods. Fast forward a few years, and I became too sick to cook or bake at all. That was really hard!!! I could no longer cook, I could no longer bake, and I could no longer enjoy most of the foods I once loved. Fast forward to today, and I can literally only tolerate about 6 different foods. Other hobbies that I once loved, but can no longer do: running (especially near the beach or on the beach/sand), hiking, going to art museums, making jewelry, spending time with family and friends (especially while eating out at a restaurant and enjoying great food), cleaning and organizing, decorating, and just living life in general. I’ve been homebound for at least 2 decades now and essentially bedridden for the last 10 years. I can no longer do any of the hobbies I once enjoyed, with the one exception being reading (which has now translated into listening). My new and favorite hobby has become listening to books on Audible…. Especially Julie’s books… Eighteen was one of the first books I ever listened to on Audible and I was blown away by it… I had to know who the author was which led me to discovering Julie, and I can honestly say that her books have become an addiction rather than a hobby. LOL. I’ve bought every book on Audible that she’s ever written. I love escaping into the worlds she has created. Thank you so much, Julie… Your writing has brought me, and continues to bring me, so much joy and happiness… Thanks for the annual giveaway and for the opportunity!! Happy Holidays!! ❤️🎄

I love reading and traveling. And since my husband and I take mostly long haul flights to visit family, I can get the reading done on the plane. I also love to cook, as I am able to. I have multiple health issues, some severe, so I don’t get to cook as much as I would like to.
Does singing count as a hobby? if so. I love to sing. And that brings me happiness. I don’t sing in-front of people any more but I love singing to my children and my husband tries to get me to sing at every opportunity he can. He says my voice is pretty and it makes him happy as well.
My favorite hobby that makes me happy is reading. There’s nothing better than getting lost in a good book, whether it’s a gripping suspense, a heartwarming romance, or a thought-provoking novel. Reading allows me to escape, explore new worlds, and experience different perspectives. It’s my go-to way to relax, recharge, and find joy.
