3. Winners are CHOSEN and NOTIFIED on December 14. I will be notifying winners USING THE EMAIL USED TO COMMENT ON THIS BLOG – and all winners will BE LISTED AT THE TOP OF EACH GIVEAWAY POST HERE ON MY WEBSITE on December 14.
4. Winners have 24 hours to respond, then another winner will be chosen.
5. ALL PRIZES WILL BE MAILED ON DECEMBER 15. If I’m waiting on a winner to respond and they miss the December 15 mail date, that prize will be mailed when I get around to it. MY ANSWER
The holidays for me are pretty chill this year because I am spending them at my daughter’s house instead of everyone coming here to the farm. Which I kind of like because it means I don’t have to cook or clean! 🙂 That’s pretty much it. My kids are grown and one lives very far away and the other about an hour away. I’ll probably ride the horse on Christmas morning if the weather is nice.

My daughter is hosting the family get together this year!
My December Holiday plns are as always. Decorate our home and tree. Bake nice Holiday treats and watch Christmas movies. Go to my family’s home and exchange gifts in Cbristmas and have a nice dinner. That’s it. We also did check out the city’s tree lighting a.d probably will go to festival of lights.
This year we downsized from a large tree, to a small table top tree. We aren’t exchanging gifts, just doing stockings. We don’t have to make dinner, since our sons girlfriends family invited us. So it’s going to be a chill year, and I’m super thrilled!
I’m doing a twist on the 12 Days of Christmas for my employees where I’m bringing a different sweet treat every day for the 12 days leading up to Christmas. Just a little something to show my appreciation!
My plans are to spend time with family and work.
I honestly don’t know my plans yet , my daughter-law has to work Christmas, So we will probably have Christmas before that when she is off. My son is a amazing cook so I look forward to him cooking Christmas dinner
Sadly not many holiday plans for December I am at work up till Christmas Eve and my children are now 18 & 24 so the magic has officially left my house
We bought our first house so we are hosting our first xmas family dinner here 🥰 I’m excited to show everyone all the renovation we’ve done this past year 😀
We are doing our first Christmas at home this year. We are gonna make some good food and spend the day together.
Actually going to Rovaniemi Finland to Santa Claus Village with my niece and nephew. I hope they love it!
Our family is small and all live in same city. So holidays are always spent at my Sister’s house as she is the one who likes to host. Other than that it will be enjoying a day off as I pretty much work everyday
We don’t do a lot till Christmas eve. We will take my daughter to see santa a few times. We will go and see a huge lite display at the Creation Museum. Then on Christmas eve we go to my husband’s aunts house. Where santa will come to see the kids and give them an early gift. Then later that night we end at my sister’s to just have family time. The next day we will go to my mother-in-laws sisters for brunch and a gift exchange. Then back to my sister’s for are family Christmas. It’s such a fun time. Making all the memories that I hope my daughter will carrie on
It’s the first time we’ve all been in the same country since before Covid, so it’s all about catching up with family and enjoying the summer.
We do solstice with friends then travel by my dad before Christmas this year. Then for the actual holidays, we have my husband’s dad’s side and my grandma on the Eve and his mom’s side on Christmas day. We still need to plan for his brother’s family. It’s a very busy time of year
Our holiday plans are my family for Christmas eve and Christmas morning, Christmas is for my grandmother, it was her birthday and our tradition is no Christmas on Christmas just celebrating her, we keep it going even though she passed. Then Christmas day and night will be with my husband’s family.
Just spending time with my family. We’ll probably have a family game night.
My Holiday plans makes this month magical for me. Starting with the annual Christmas parade and tree lighting in town. I live in a small town, so it makes it’s extra special seeing everyone come together for it. Then it’s on to endless trails and rides for sightseeing of Christmas lights up until Christmas eve. I will also be celebrating my mom’s birthday, hopefully she enjoys this year’s surprise I set up. I’m also hosting the annual Christmas party for the family for the first time. We have a bunch of new generations that were born this year. So it’s going to be magical and knowing I have my family altogether in one place, there will be love and happiness as well and I can’t wait!

We are hoping for a nice relaxing holiday this year. My kids are teenagers and want a trip to a Waterpark for Christmas so we are planning something for president’s day weekend when they are off school.
My holidays this year will be surrounded by family and friends…it’s just myself and mu husband and we usually go to my mom’s or my dad’s for a Christmas feast 🙂
Our plans are mostly the same each year. We go to my parents house on Christmas Eve to have our dinner then we all wake up together on Christmas Day and open presents with my nephew. Then after breakfast we drive to my partners parents house and cook and eat dinner there. We normally stay there until the evening then me and partner come home and chill together for the rest of the holidays.
Were hoping to spend Christmas in Florida with our middle two kids. If that ends up not being possible, we will just stay at home.
To relax and reset with my family I love the Christmas events but mostly just want to rest and spend time together ❤️

My holiday plans are to make ham and all the sides for Christmas dinner like I do every year. And have my mom and in-laws over to spend time with my husband, our 2 kids and I.
For the month of December I like to try and do at least one thing as a family. Last weekend we went to see Christmas lights at the local AAA baseball field (illumination at coca-cola park). This weekend we are going to see Moana 2. Next weekend is my husband’s union’s children’s holiday party.
This year I have nothing planned yet. I was sick on Thanksgiving, I’m not really feeling like it’s holiday time. I think I’ll probably host a low key dinner with immediate family. We usually binge some movies after.
The holidays have always been a stressful time for me, so for about 10 years now, we have decided to ditch the family conventions and expectations. We will spend the holidays in hermits in the mountains. Snow, quiet, good food and a little bit of ski are on the program. Happy holiday, everyone!
I am going to my brother’s house this year. My daughter will be with her dad.
My holiday plans: well let’s see with 8 grandchildren and 4 adults to buy for I will be doing a lot of shopping, which I love. We will be hosting Christmas at our house so there will be a lot of cooking, baking, decorating and wrapping.
Ny holiday plans include a trip to Alberta to visit my kids and grandchildren. We always spend christmas at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.
Ours is always hectic we have my inlaws Christmas Eve, 2 weeks we have my mother in laws entire side big family Christmas, we meet my family halfway to lunch and shopping together, and our Christmas we do whenever my oldest 2 girls get back from their dads house.
My December plans are to spend time with my parents and with my family. We like to go to the movies on Xmas Eve and then have dinner with my parents. My husband is having surgery on the 31st, so we’ll also be preparing for life after surgery. Merry Christmas!

We’re going to a relative’s house for Christmas Eve.
Christmas will be with just my hubby and son. After we will head to my grandparents to see all my aunts, uncles, cousins, parents and grandparents. Then come back after a couple days to have a late Xmas get together with my in-laws.
It all feels like sooo much driving but it’ll be worth it to see my son’s face light up.
I go to my daughter’s house. I’m in charge of cooking. She does a few special sides. We’re considering going to a movie theater to actually watch a movie on Christmas Day.
We have 2 older kids and our youngest is 15. So our holiday plans are pretty relaxed. Every year I get everyone Christmas pj’s and we open presents, eat and just spend time together in our pj’s all day long.
December is sad and happy for us. We lost our 5 year old nephew to brain cancer on the 14th. (It will be his 5 year anniversary this year.) So every year we eat McDonald’s cheese burgers on that day. He loved those. And then for the rest of the month we try to make christmas as happy as possible for the other kiddos. We love christmas in our household, so we go all out with decorations. And that is what helps keep us going each December. A little holiday cheer.
My holiday plans are to spend my first Christmas with my daughter home in 11 years, and to have my other 2 kids come to my house. My youngest also turns 13 on the 17th. I’m just excited to spend time with family.
Our plans this year are just to get through it really. This is the first Christmas without my husband since he passed away in August so it will be a bit different for my 3 children and i.
It’s my year to work Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so my family will be getting together the weekend before at my parents place 🙂 All the Polish food… I can’t wait!!!!
We finally get to be together as a family and enjoy the the season. We have a fantastic Christmas breakfast and a wonderful New Years Meal.

Oh December so much going on… 13th My Granddaughter’s Graduation from NC State. Bring my 98 yr old Dad home to Florida for the winter. I do Christmas dinner at my house. Hey but lets sprinkle in some Birthdays in there also on the 21st, 26, 28th, 29th and 31st has a birthday but also an Anniversary.
I always say I’m going to do it simple, but who am I kidding when you come from a large family its always something fun or interesting going on.
My daughter is hosting. She has two small boys and I cannot wait to spend time with them
Well I got to mail package to son who lives in NC. Next need to finish shopping. Make time to go do family time with everyone. And one of my granddaughters birthday is Christmas 🎄 Eve so got to squeeze that in as well.
Basically: work; pause on working; visit family; eat
Don’t have to work this year so will have brunch instead of a big dinner with the grown kids. Then just relax and read!
We will spend Christmas Day at my brother in laws house with family. We do a white elephant game that usually is very entertaining.
Normally we go stay in our hometown once the kids Christmas breaks from school start. But this year, I think I want to stay home and have a chilled break. Just relax and do as I please. That doesn’t happen a lot.
My plans, are to try and stay sane. lol and keep the magic alive for as long as possible for the kids.
My work closes for two weeks over Christmas and New Year so this time of year is my annual reset where I can laze and really relax and recharge ready for the next year. My youngest daughter is home from University for a week so we’ll have Christmas dinner together and I’ll have lots of walks with the dog and time to read.
It’s our usual family time. We have a brunch with my siblings and their families right before Christmas. Christmas Eve is an informal family dinner with everyone hunting for the pickle ornament on the tree and playing games. Christmas Day is focused on family time and stockings.
My December plans for 2024 are a bit different this year. We usually host Christmas Eve dinner for the local family members (around 20) but this year I think we’ll put a different spin on it. It will be a late-afternoon-to early-evening (or later, depending on how things ‘flow’!) Mingle & Jingle Cocktail Event. I’m not sure its any less work but with a lot of prep we may be able to Mingle with our guests! And no shopping for gifts. Everyone has (or buys) enough monetary items and it has turned into a ‘return for what you really want’ session after Christmas anyway. Just saying… But Happy Holidaze!
Most of my family will be gone during the holidays. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day I’ll be with my daughter, who’s a single parent of a four year old…. So that time will be great!
My holiday plans are to eat, drink and be merry! We will be spending time decorating and enjoying friends and family.
My plans are to finish work on December 19th, and do nothing but eat, drink and be merry with family until January 6th.
Plans are different this year as it looks like my niece will be having a baby for Christmas so I am hoping to be snuggling a baby 💕
Staying home for Christmas because I have to work but then traveling to my parents the day after in Western Nebraska and having a huge gathering with my Dad’s family. It is my favorite family gathering of the year and involves a pitch tournament.
My children will come home for Christmas. I’m ahead on everything this year – house decorated, presents wrapped. All that’s left is buying the groceries. 😁 My dh & I are planning to go out to enjoy some holiday cheer one evening – seeing the city Christmas Tree & visiting a Christmas Holiday Market.
My holiday plans are too finally spend it with my kids and husband together! This will be the first time in 4 years we have all been together for a Christmas
This year our Holidays are looking low key. My son and daughter in law live too far away to get together with for the Holidays so will do something early next year. Being here in Montana, I will get to enjoy the Holidays with our 3-year-old grandson. Look at Christmas thru his eyes.
Pretty quiet this year. I have just moved to another state so will be settling in and finding what happens here. I am much happier than my previous apartment so the cats and I will be happy.
My December plans are to continue with physical therapy for my knee and to assist my husband (when I can) in replacing our flooring in our living room and hallway…..and having family over for Christmas

My December holiday plans are to.enjoy the summer weather with my family, make the most of my time with the kiddos and with my grandmother who sadly has dementia. We are hosting neighbors for a game night close to Christmas which always brings tons of laughs. Then on Christmas Day it will be a chill day with the family relaxing, watching movies, eating good food and I feel a nap might also happen. Cheers!

This year we will be going to my dad’s house (next door) on Christmas Eve and then to my daughter and son-in-law’s for Christmas (5 miles down the road. Then go to my in-laws across the street in the evening. I get to see most of my family and only have to drive a short distance.
I am hosting christmas dinner this year. Having the in laws over usually have my mum but she is going to my brothers this year.
I don’t have plans. I’m not very enthusiastic about Christmas. I love buying gifts for people when I see something they would really love, but I dislike buying for Christmas. My best gifts for Christmas are giving to our local animal shelters.
We do a big family thing on Christmas eve and then spend Christmas day just lounging around
We moved away from family 10 years ago so for the actual holiday it is just my husband and I and the kids we will have some good food and open presents then we travel the day after Christmas back home and spend a few days visiting family then back home for the new year.
This December I’m trying to patient! My oldest daughter is having her first baby. She and her husband live in Greeley, Colorado. I live in Iowa. So sad. But I plan to spend a couple weeks in CO when the little bundle arrives.
I plan on spending a relaxing Christmas with my family. In general, for all of December, my goal is to read as many holiday themed books as I can!

We have several family get togethers this month (14, 21, 22, and 27) and we also have a night out planned for my daughter’s 21st birthday this Saturday…this Sunday, husband and I are going to see TSO.
As far as Christmas Eve and day, we’ll just be here at home.

We are having a quiet holiday season, just us this year. It will be nice to relax and do some reading even though I have to work most of the time those two weeks.
Honestly I don’t know if that well be doing. If we get a turkey from the food pantry then we’ll have turkey for Christmas dinner. We do plan to watch Christmas movies like White Christmas, A Christmas Story and The Munsters Scary Little Christmas
Having Christmas at my sister’s house with my family.
As I’ve mentioned in my other responses – we are moving at the end of the year; so this year will be focused on packing and getting our home ready to sell.
We will still make the holiday great for our boys. Probably go see some light displays, etc.
I have to work Christmas Day (7p-7a). I’m a nurse. But we’ll do something small on Christmas Day. My kids are practically grown and then go to Grandma’s Christmas Day
Our plans are to have our children over for a holiday dinner and play games. I’m praying it won’t snow that day, so all can come.
I plan to start the day getting ready for Christmas dinner. My 17 year old will open his presents. Later that morning my daughter and granddaughters will come by to open their presents. Plus my daughter can help get the food started. Lol. Later in the day after dinner, it will be hot chocolate and s’mores.
I’m hosting my family Christmas this year on the 21st. We will have about 20 people in my small house but we’re setting up the garage with the tables to eat. We’ve measured and we can fit plus the food table. We have a fun game planned and I’m happy we’re together. Other than that next week we travel about 5 hours for my daughter in loves pinning and graduation with her bachelor degree as a RN.
My plans are of course work as always… But I’m also going to spend it with my two boys and my oldest son’s girlfriend and her daughter my youngest son boyfriend and with my brother and my sister-in-law which that part will be perfect my one day break from work.
We honestly don’t have any major plans for December. We don’t have much family left so we stick close to home for the holidays and such.
We will be at my in laws in Rhode Island for Christmas Eve and the with my family in Maine for Christmas
Christmas Eve we spend with my in-laws and Christmas Day we spend the day as a family opening presents, eating and just spending time together.
I’m spending my Christmas with my grandchildren I’m so excited it’s been a couple of years since I’ve been able to 😊🥰
I plan to go with my husband and 93 year old mom to visit our son who is a park ranger in Oklahoma. We will stay in a cabin at the park he’s stationed at.
Christmas Eve is fish fest at my house. We do the whole Italian 7 fish meal, which actually we probably have more, yet I don’t eat any of it. 🤣 All of my kids will be home and on Christmas morning I make a big breakfast for everyone and then my family comes over for Dinner and we go to the movies. I love Christmas day, because it is so relaxing and enjoyable. 🎄

We go to my in-laws for Christmas Eve and then do Christmas morning with the kids!! We then go to grandmas for lunch that day!
We were lucky enough to get very close up tickets to Garth Brooks on 12/22 so decided we would spend Christmas in Vegas for 5 days and see a bunch of shows and some tours. Our families all have their own thing going so we decided to gift ourselves with memories.
My holiday plans are to stay in with my family and relax and watch holiday movies
Plan to celebrate with our normal family traditions and spend the time with my parents and sister who live in town.
We’ll probably chill at home. It’s just the two of us. We usually have Chinese food delivered. We will watch The Christmas Story and The Christmas Carol with Alister Sims as Scrooge. Love them both. Merry Christmas.
Going to have a very chill Christmas Holiday. My family has had several losses over the last 2 years . We are just gonna hang at home and keep it low key.
On Christmas Eve my Mom, older sister and I watch a Christmas movie and snack all night. Christmas Day will be spent at home just the hubby and me. None of our kids or Grandkids live close.

I will have my family over for Christmas. I cook a huge feast with my mom and daughter. I love cooking for everyone and spending time together.
This December, I’m excited to head down to sunny Florida to spend Christmas with my two sons! We’ll be making memories at some theme parks and enjoying a few dinner shows before heading back to chilly New York. Can’t wait for the adventure and holiday fun!
My plans for December are pretty relaxing. My Birthday was yesterday and I enjoyed time with my family. We put up the tree the day after Thanksgiving every year. It is unusually cold here in South Carolina so I am really trying to stay out of the cold! And 321 is the first dark romance I ever read. I love it ❤️
Everyone comes to my house. We’ll open gifts and photos are taken of the kids. Then we gather for a late lunch and everyone brings a food item. Afterward we sit back and remember past Christmases and those we have lost.
No solid plans yet. It doesn’t feel like Christmas in Fl. We will most likely go to casual Christmas eve service in park where we live and will spend Christmas day with kids and Grandkids.
On Christmas Eve, the daughter and family go for a Christmas lights drive and Grandma and Grandpa sneak into the house and leave presents. The grandkids love it and look forward to it. Christmas day is usually pretty quiet.
My holiday plans are to make cookies and candy. Have a sleepover with the granddaughters. Host the family at our house for Christmas Day..
We have a pretty chill December—one holiday party and a few casual meet ups with neighbors and coworkers. The big celebration starts Christmas week when my boys come home. We planning a whale watching excursion and some fun holiday games involving a muffin tin, a ping pong ball and gift cards. I’m hoping that will be a fun and unique gift exchange.
This will be our last year in this house, so I’ll decorate some, depending on whether or not my son can put a gate up to block the puppies, (9 month old Great Pyr who is a schemer, and 11 month pittie mix who loves to tear everything up) from the living room. We’ll have a tree if he makes the gate, if not, the fireplace and piano will be decorated. My sons will grill steaks and we’ll enjoy a bit of family time before we head to our video games to play a rousing game of snowball fight on GTAV together.
We host Christmas for my husbands family and my daughter and her husband comes to town we have a house full of 12 peoples its fun and I look forward to it every year
I’m spending my holidays going to couple different Christmas festivals and going to my grandparents house for Christmas
Today, Giving Tuesday, we are planning to take the pile of toy donations I’ve been buying for months to our fire department toy drive. We started doing this after my mother passed away. She was a big givers.
This December is going to be amazing. I turn 50 on December 14th so my husband and 4 friends will be heading to New York to celebrate. After we return I will prepare for Christmas and I will spend the holidays with my 4 chrildren, granddaughter, and my family.
My Christmas plans this year are super exciting and I cannot wait. My boyfriend and I are going to an all-inclusive resort in Cancun Mexico! I will be leaving the country for the first time in my life!!! 2 bucket items are getting knocked off my list for this one! 1. Fly first class at least once; and go to Cancun Mexico!!! I am so excited!!! My kids are with their Dad this year so it is so perfect for me! I do wish they could come with me; and that would make it the most perfect vaca ever but I will take what I have got!
I am expecting my first grandchild this month, so my holiday plans are subject to change. However, by the time Christmas comes, he should be here, so all I know for sure is that I’ll be spending the holidays with my daughter & her first child (my first grandchild)!
We usually go to my mom’s on Christmas Eve to exchange presents and eat all the snacks/finger foods we’ve prepared. Then on Christmas Day we meet at the movie Theater and watch a movie we haven’t seen yet (usually want a new release). We started doing this as our traditional Christmas when I was young and my Moms best friend passed away on Christmas Eve and my mom simply didn’t have the energy/joy to put into the holiday like she wanted to for us. So we found a new way to still enjoy Christmas without it being such a strain. Now we still do this with my nieces and nephew, who simply love the unorthodox tradition 😉
It’s all about family this year. A party for my brother’s 60th birthday. Taking my Mom shopping. Time with my son’s. Appreciation of all we have.
Unfortunately I likely wont get to do much for the holidays this year (much like most years). I work in printing and production of insurance mail and ID card creation and mailing and it is Open Enrollment season. We print and mail about 12 million insurance ID cards between Dec 1 and Jan 15th so it is all hands on deck. I will only get Christmas and New Years Day off and my family lives 4 hours away so it isnt enough time to visit and get back in time for work the next day and it is a PTO blackout period so I cannot take PTO during that time. I see my family at Thanksgiving and they understand my work obligation so it is typically me, alone, on Christmas, My Birthday (the 27th) and New Years every year.
I have no plans for December.
This year will be quiet and spent at home with just me and my partner. He has to work the next day (I do too) so we will keep it low key between us and my old man cat.
Christmas Eve lunch my siblings and all of our grown children and grands go to my mother’s house for gift swap. Then candlelight service that night. Christmas Day we sleep late, eat waffles, and go see what Santa brings the grands. Their excitement is infectious. I actually take my tree down the day after Christmas.
My plans this Christmas is to have all the kids and friends around for a day of food swimming and gift giving
Our Christmas is also going to be super chill. We will attend Midnight Mass at church. Christmas day is also just very quiet, we’ll cook breakfast and just relax. Open presents later in the day, watch movies, just an easy day. Dinner late afternoon, which I should probably start planning the menu for. It will be just Tom and I, and Alex if he’s not on the road (he’s a truck driver) and Josh will either be home (in Virginia) with his girlfriend, or he may be working depending on what Potus or the VP are doing (he’s Secret Service) but either way we’ll video chat with him, for sure.
This year is the biggest Christmas for our family. My daughter just turned 18 to college next year so we’re playing next year doing everything too good she was little just so I can get the last experience of having her close to home.!!
Our holiday plans simply involve family coming here (to our apt) and hanging out for a hopefully peaceful day. Being Jewish, it will actually start Dec. 26th, although I can’t recall the last time Chanukah started after Christmas. This would involve me googling the information and so far (being both busy and lazy- seemingly an oxymoron) I haven’t done so. We shall see. Bc it is starting so late, tho, it’s possible more family members might be able to join. Which would be a blessing, as I’m not certain my mother would remember Chanukah a year from now. (But if I were an optimist, I could easily be wrong….) 🥹
My plans for the Christmas is having Christmas day with my kids and my mother,brother, and step father. We are having a big dinner and presents in the morning than games before dinner. Like white elephant.
We are planning to visit my in-laws and my mom to eat and exchange gifts.
My plans are pretty low key this year as well. I have an annual dinner, gifts and drive through a christmas lights display with friends this Thursday, some lunches with my teams at work, a cookie exchange with friends and Christmas morning will be spent at my house with my parents. (Hopefully, my mom is currently in the hospital) for gifts and brunch.
Our holiday plans are visiting different family members, as we do every year. And our oldest daughter will be visiting this year after we finally reconnected after almost a year of no contact. It’s going to be a great Christmas!
We decided not to put up a Xmas tree. Because we are not feeling festive. We will spend a quiet Xmas day at home. I did buy my daughter a few things that I will wrap.and a few things for our dog Lucy.

Hanging with family
On Christmas eve we have all of my husband’s family ( parents 6 kids & spouses, 14 grandchildren plus spouses/girlfriends ) over at our house, usually around 40ish people. We eat exchange gifts and play games. Then christmas day we spend with my family ( my 2 kids and their wives, dad, sister & husband, neice and nephew, plus dogs). We eat and play games.
My vision board for 2025 would be filled with things that help me find peace, allow me to let go and help in finding myself.
Lots of time with the family, and hopefully some me time to read books!
We host Christmas dinner at our house. We’ll probably have around 20 people here. Our children and grandchildren will stay here for a few days. It’s a crazy chaotic mess and I love it!
Very much looking forward to a low key holiday with my family. One of my clients launches an International tour over Christmas week so it’s a very busy time for me.
My holiday plans are basically watching Christmas movies and enjoying being family.
This weekend is my son’s birthday so we’ll be celebrating by eating out and going to see all the lights they put up at our zoo! We’ll be visiting a lot of family and I have a special event planned here at our park. I’ll be taking my son to their polar express event and a train ride!
I don’t have much going on. I don’t have a lot of family left and my hubby works Christmas eve.
We may travel to Florida to spend time with son and granddaughter’s but haven’t made up our mind since we drive. Thought of flying scares me !!!
I get to finally hug my brother, he’s coming home from a long deployment. He hasn’t been home in December in years, so Christmas will be moved up. Then my baby brother is getting married. So I’ll be having so much joy thos holiday season.
No big plans, just staying home with the kids, enjoying the holidays with our little family.
Right now we still don’t have exact plans because of everyone work schedules but I have the basics.
We are going to my dad’s side of the family on Christmas day and have a little dinner there. Usually we have Christmas eve with my mom’s side of the family but this year we think we are going to have to do it the weekend after Christmas, so I may have Christmas eve to myself where I can stay in eat cookies and read books.
To sit back and try to enjoy this month as best I can knowing my son will go in for surgery again from an accident he was in. So we must make the best of it and enjoy everyday we can this month and do the little things that mean the most.

We go to my sisters house every year. Dinner, gifts and lots of fun. It is always wonderful to see my nieces and nephews as they live across the United States.
My daughter is getting married on December 30th in Arizona. So we are heading out early to spend the holidays with her and my husband family. My son and his family will join us also
Yay! No cooking or cleaning for Christmas! And possible horseback riding! In the snow? Once I went horseback riding with my family after a snow storm. The trees were coated with sticky snow. When asked what horse he wanted to ride, my brother said Diablo. Of course they had a Diablo. Beautiful, memorable day.
My family spends Christmas Eve at my best friend’s house with her family, and then my kids and grandkids come to my house on Christmas Day. So yes, I have to cook and clean.
I will have our whole family descending on my house for Christmas, so will be frantically cleaning, cooking and wrapping presents this Christmas!
We do Christmas at home with just the kids but then we go to my Granny’s for a big Christmas dinner with all our extended family. It’s loud and erratic with kids running around but it’s so much fun
We’re spending the holidays at my brother’s house. There’s definitely something to having someone else host for once! So much free time to relax and enjoy the family.
My holiday plans are visiting my family. I don’t see them as often as I want. So while I’m off I stay at my sisters house. We play games like Yahtzee. We hang out and have a blast. She may make me a drink or two as well.
We don’t have family near us, so we’ll chill at home. If it’s nice out we’ll go to the beach or forest. On December 25th we clean and sage our house to clear out all the old energy from 2024. We recognize that day as the New Year due to the sun being a little bit higher on the horizon (starting a new cycle after being stationary for three days).

Christmas will be spent at my house. I’ll invite my mom over and we’ll celebrate. It will be different than all previous years without my dad here. But despite his passing, we’re filled with joy for the season. This year will be celebrated with his memory at our forefront.
My December holiday plans start with baking approximately 20 different types of cookies. I then plate them up and do a mad dash to deliver them to about 15 or so friends than make our lives better. This is usually done with plenty of time to put up a tree and decorate the house. This year is a little tight since there is less time from Thanksgiving to Christmas. Somehow it all gets accomplished.
We get together with extended family on Christmas day and do a white elephant game instead of gifts. We all bring a food item.
Holiday plans are baking cookies and ginger bread houses with my kids. Rest of it will be spent working and with family.
Staying put. Family time is the best time!
My shopping is almost done so December will be spent wrapping, making cookies, finish any last minute decorating and then just enjoying the holidays with family.
I have no plans, yet. I usually sleep late and head to somebody else’s house for dinner.
I will be with my daughter and her two young sons. It will be fun.

My husband and I started a tradition that every December we pick a Saturday that is out date night in, I make a nice dinner and dessert, we do a craft or bake cookies, we wear matching pj’s and watch White Christmas, he’s a trooper for putting up with me. My holidays will be pretty chill. I’m single so no worries on where we will go. My kids are all grown, the baby a senior in high school, we usually just hang out at my mom’s. This year my baby will also spend time with her boyfriends family, but it’s just the 2 of us most of the time. I just do whatever my illnesses will allow.
So I work for the post office so by Christmas time I am all done. But it is one of my favorite times of the year. We get together with my husbands side of the family on Christmas Eve and my side we do on New Year’s Day. They are two days I look forward to.
As I said in an earlier comment, I have movers coming on the 10th so I will spend the holidays setting up my new house.

My family only meets for Christmas Eve. I used to get sad because my dad died on Christmas and my son’s father would always want him that day so I’d be alone. But for the past few years instead my son and I have been having a taco party that we invite his dad to. So looking forward to tacos.
My Christmas plans include a shopping trip to Chicago, a visit to our Eurpean-style Christmas market, soending Christmas with my immediate family on Christmas day, and having extended family over after Christmas.
It’s a full month! I run a GS troop and we do a lot of community service and activities with the girls. And then we’ve got some family things through out the rest of the month!

Shopping, wrapping, cooking, school plays, nana is invited to them all and attend she will. Christmas eve to boxing day I will be staying at my youngest. Boxing day is for spoiling my grandkids, so trips planned to visit them and see what santa brought. Hubby us home on the 27th (merchant seaman) so another Christmas day just for him, pantomime with the whole family, such fun but loud. Newyear is party time and don’t forget the Baileys lots and lots of Baileys
Spending time with my family is what’s important.
I’ll be the Elf on the Shelf for part of the day. When we can’t get together that’s how we do it. We sign on to a video call but not the traditional way. Are video calls old enough to be traditional? Anyway, we find a common area to put the device and leave the call going for a while, even a couple of hours. It’s pretty fun actually. Sometimes we cook together. Sometimes I hear a grandchild call “Hey Gramma’ and I have to go look. Sometimes we open gifts together…we just do a good portion of the day that way rather than a focused 20 minute call. Then dinner with friends which always includes fantastic food, red wine, great conversations and
laughs.
Don’t have too many plans right now. Happy my Great Nephews 1st Birthday party here this weekend. I’m sure we’ll be having our family Christmas dinner here as well. Otherwise, just trying to find a job that works with my ‘taking care of dad’ schedule. (Had to take a leave from my current job.)
My holiday plans are doing Christmas crafts and baking with my little ones, then watching Christmas movies. I’ll also be trying to sneak Christmas gifts inside as they’re getting delivered and then wrap them lol. Then for Christmas Eve and Christmas spend it with the family laughing and opening gifts.
My December plans are pretty simple, 2 work parties and I am planning a 5oth Bday party for my hubs on the 24th. He usually gets the shaft when it comes to his birthday. So since the kids are grown and doing their own thing, I’m gonna celebrate him for once.
We will celebrate with the extended family at my daughter’s house, we’ll do a potluck. The actual day will probably be spent at home relaxing until I have to go to work.

I am just going to try and get through this holiday season. I am hurting but I keep my mantra going I am not okay but it’s all going to be alright. My grandchildren are such a joy to have around and each is a blessing. I am just trying not to focus on the loss and get to the place where life begins again.
For the holidays, Christmas Eve is hosted at our house and Christmas Day is at my sibling’s home. It’s pretty low-key and just good food, good times and good company had by all.
We are going to cozy up by the fire and watch Christmas movies, my favorite thing to do. 😊

My holiday plans are to enjoy my Christmas Tree and decorations! I do have a short trip planned for the beginning of December, but after that, it’s stay at home and wrap and enjoy the holidays while NOT in a store! I’m finished all my Christmas shopping, so just wrapping while listening to Christmas music and watching Christmas movies!
We have 6 birthdays between Dec 1-28, plus all the Christmas festivities, so the holiday season is always filled with celebrations (and LOTS of baking). This year though, we will be traveling across the country to spend Christmas (and her/my birthdays) with our daughter in her new city. It is always such a blessing to all be together, wherever that may be.
2024 holiday plans are to work and spend time with family that are coming home from out of town. Lots of love all around.

We’re staying in Colorado this year, so my oldest daughter is coming home to spend it with us. I haven’t seen her since August so I’m excited to have her here for a month! Yay! That’s the best present ever.
Christmas Eve is at my house always. I make Polish food (not traditional Christmas Eve Polish food). Golumbki, Pirogi, Kielbasa, and Ham are the normal menu. My husband and I spend it with my sister and her family. Her kids are grown, but her daughter is pregnant and there will be a baby next year!!!!!!!!! Thank you for this opportunity to win a prize.
I have everyone coming to my house this year AGAIN! I keep waiting for the kids to say, come on over, the grandkids want to stay home. Hasn’t happened yet so Mom gets to cook, clean and dispose of all the Christmas Trash.
My holiday plans are getting my tree and decorations up to start, celebrating another milestone B-day next week, which I now consider a holiday, baking Christmas cookies and and going to people’s houses decorated with lights etc. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day I will have a few family and friends that I consider family cover. Christmas Eve is my favorite night of the year. After people go home I love the quiet, having all of my candles lit and honoring what the season is all about.

I am looking forward to spending as much time as I can with my family and friends. This is what is most important to me at this time of year.
Christmas Day we’re going to my aunt’s house for my mom’s side of the family, the going to my mom’s house to open presents with immediate family. On the 21st the big party with my dad’s side of the family.
This year my sister and her kids are flying in and we will spend Christmas at my parent’s house 🙂 just the typical caroling on Christmas Eve. Then stockings and presents Christmas morning. Usually games and dinner prep in the afternoon. And a big turkey dinner to finish off the day.

I am living with 2 of my grandkids so I’m enjoying all the magic of the holiday! Last night we did the polar express train and later in the month a holiday tradition is Denver zoo lights. My son in law is a fireman so we are doing Christmas a couple days early. Works perfect for me because then I can drive to grand junction and spend Christmas with my other grandchildren. I’m broke this year but so blessed in so many ways!!
My December plans are to try and not freak out about how there’s so much to do and so little time. 😂 We have family plans, and we’re trying very hard to actually get the friends group together all at one time.

Our holiday plans are visiting 3 family Christmas get together. We usually take a Christmas vacation with the kids during Christmas to have zero stress of multiple places to go but this year we are staying out.

We lost my mom this fall, so it’s not gonna be very merry. She was the family ramrod in charge of any and all holiday festivities and without her bossing everyone around, we’ll do it wrong. So since my kids are grown and there aren’t any grandkids yet, the extended family has all agreed to just keep it low key this year.
Here in Southern California months like December mean hiking weather as long as we’re not on fire. The temperatures are usually in the high 60s and low 70s so not too hot and we haven’t yet been hit by rain so no risk of mudslides in the burned areas. The holidays are perfect to hike because it’s less crowded and you get the mountains all to yourself.
My December holiday plans are to spend time with my daughter who is home from college for 3 weeks! Very excited for that time.
My sister and I live next door to each other, and share Christmas Day cooking, she cooks Turkey and I do all the sides, our mom does pies and then everyone comes for dinner. Christmas Eve we host a drop in at our moms for friends and family,
We are staying home and having friends and family over for Christmas dinner.
We are doing a super chill Christmas this year. Since my son is almost 16 and won’t he be at home much longer, I’m keeping things low key so I get as much time with him as possible because most of his free time is spent with friends.
I’m taking a few days off between xmas and new years to chill.
I do not have too many plans. I am waiting that I get holiday or not.
I will bake cakes and I try to relax and enjoy this season.

Our holiday plans seem like they will be a little hectic this year. We are planning to travel out of state, and will still have to coordinate spending time with family here at home for the holiday also, as well as tweak work schedules to be able to travel. I’d rather just stay home and do something small to be honest
I honestly don’t have plans yet. But I’ve been thinking on spending it with family at my house. Maybe watch some Christmas movies and paint. I’ll probably be doing a lot of cooking and cleaning which I’m not looking forward to but it’s okay. I still need to figure out what I’ll be cooking.

Both my son and their families live far from me 😂. So we have a video day. We open presents together in the morning, eat lunch and dinner together all on FaceTime. Thank goodness for technology. It’s really a great day!

We had planned to skip presents this year & do a Christmas vacation instead. BUT it turned out to be way too expensive so we will just do the usual. Decorate our home & exchange gifts. We always have a small party with family. We also have a bunch of fun games we do for prizes. The kids love it. They win money, gift cards, lotto tix, candy, etc. Just a good time with family.
While we are still rebuilding our house after a fire, we have no plans on going anywhere, but we enjoy the holidays and will be decorating as best as we can.
We are having our family over for Christmas. Our oldest son and his wife come over with our sweet grandson. He is seven now! Our younger son still lives with us. Our fathers will come over too. We open gifts, eat a hearty meal and play games. Good times.
Working full time and taking 16 units, I’m looking forward to some downtime for the Holidays!! Time spent with my hot hubs, and our six kids (31, 26, 22, 22, 20 and the baby, 14) will definitely happen. Our Christmas tradition is homemade sushi together and lots of inappropriateness and laughs. Can’t wait!!

My December plans are to spend as much time with my Dad when he comes to visit. He lives in Nevada and I’m in Maryland. I don’t fly so I only see him when he comes here. Then celebrate Christmas at my sister’s house. We have such a great time playing crazy Christmas themed games. And always end the night playing Uno.
Our Christmas plans are to get together with family and enjoy time eating, talking and laughing.
I have really boring holiday plans. I’m going to do some house projects cuz the weather is finally cool enough. And I’m going to enjoy family time which is what every holiday should be about as family.

Since I’m a nurse, I’ll be working part of Christmas but I’ll be spending the rest of the holiday with my girls and their families.
We plan on spending quality time with the family. Hopefully our oldest can find cheap airfare to be able to fly home for the holidays.
The holidays have expanded a bit with my daughter’s boyfriend and his daughter (and her bf). They are good peeps but coordinating a time for 5/6 people to get a tree is crazy, but it will be worth it.

Not sure if my family is doing an Eve get together this year if not I’ll be relaxing at home by myself. Working on Christmas as usual, my other work half has kids so I always work for her if it falls on my day off.

We will have a small Christmas at home this year. Afternoon we will be going to my husbands moms house for a get together with his family. She’s about to have her 91st birthday in January so we’re enjoying the time with her while we can 🥰
We are putting up the tree on my birthday which is on December 14th. It’s a tradition we have done since I was born.
Had an early Christmas with family in November. Then we headed South where we will be spending it with friends with friends.
Unfortunately working right through Christmas. But have Christmas day off this year. We are planning a day of board games with the kids, good food and a walk along the beach.
We don’t have much planned. We will see as many movies as we can during the month. Christmas Eve is dinner at my MIL’s. We wake up Christmas morning and open presents and have MIL over for brunch and dinner with a movie between the two.
We always do our family celebration on Christmas Eve. My mother started the tradition, and we’ve continued it. Those that have small children do Santa gifts on Christmas morning.
I sing in an a cappella mixed chorus, and an a cappella quartet. So my plans for December are singing at performances/nursing homes, etc, nearly EVERY DAY until December 19. After which I will probably collapse in a heap with something alcoholic. Fa la la la la!
Spending time with my entire family. Due to everyone’s work schedules this is no simple feat so the fact that we are able to do it for Christmas is that much more special.
My family will all be here for Christmas Eve for dinner and light viewing and in the morning it’ll be breakfast and presents before they head off to other side of their family. Then I’ll be alone to read and do whatever I want..gets very lonely and I don’t enjoy the rest of the day, it happens every year and I’m still not use to it.
My plans for the last of this year is filled with wrapping gifts, filling baking orders, decorating more at my house and moving to another location (same town) for work.
Then, it’s just enjoying Christmas with my boys and my 13 grandkids, 4 siblings and my wonderful Mother! I am truly and wonderfully Blessed. 🎄☃️🎄 Bless you all!!

My sister is over from Australia for a couple of weeks, so my plans revolve around spending as much time with her and her kids as possible xx
I will be going to my daughter and son-in-laws home. My son and his girlfriend will join us there too. My daughter usually invites a single friend or two over for dinner, or for those who don’t have family close by and can’t travel to them. We used to have all the family members over to celebrate, but it got to much for my daughter. She always hoped other families would have it at their homes sometimes, but no one ever offered…so she finally stopped doing it, plus she was the only one making all the food and I made all the different desserts and sweet potato casserole with pecans, butter and brown sugar on top. I use the Recipe that you gave out one year. I use all brown sugar and one stick butter in sweet potatoes and one stick for the crunchy Pecan caramelized topping. I am now the Goddess of Sweet Potato Casseroles, thanks to you Julie! ❤
I will be undergoing a laparoscopy for endometriosis. My Christmas break will be extended as I recover, and I’m lucky family is adjusting holiday plans to be more accommodating. I should have plenty of time to read!
My holidays are typical pretty chill, once the stress of decorating and all that is over. Each year we drive to the coast to see a beautiful light display that is breath taking. And the last couple years we have started up another tradition of going up to Sister’s Oregon in the mountains to spend the night and do a little shopping. IT’s a adorable little mountain town. My parents, myself and my sister used to go every year in december.
I will be staying home in central Florida for Christmas. We will go out to eat for Christmas Eve.

My kids live in different states. So it will be just my hubby and I this year . A quiet day at home.
This Christmas will be fun this year since my nephew will be 18 months old and is walking and talking. Renly is going to be spoiled to the max and with all the load toys I can find to drive my brother crazy. haha got to love being the Aunt who gets to buy that little toddler’s drum set and send it to their house. I can’t wait to see the look on my brother’s face when my little jitterbug opens that drum set. My brother asked for “quiet” gifts and this is my response LOL. Payback for all those times he was an annoying younger brother is paid in tenfold to gift my nephew things he doesn’t even know he wants LOL.
Beyond that catching up on my TBR and working on finishing my first book and figuring out the steps to take to publish it on KU int he new year.
It’s the one time in the year that all the family get together. For me it’s about spending time with family, good food and a time to relax and unwind. Wrapping up the year (excuse the pun) and resetting for the year to come.
Not sure what they will be as my husband was just admitted to the hospital with accute kidney failure due to the anti rejection meds he is on from the double lung transplant he had in Nov. 2022.

Our holiday plans are Christmas Eve party at my cousins house. It’s a blast catching up with everyone and we play Dirty Santa. Then Christmas morning we have brunch at my mom’s house and it’s very relaxed and casual. The following weekend all of my cousins and our spouses meet up for cousins dinner. It’s special b/c we grew up very close but now some live out of town, this is a tradition we’ve had going on 9 years now. Happy Holidays everyone!

I don’t have too many plans, with no job money is pretty tight so we are keeping things low key this year.
My holiday will be pretty quiet and chill, but very emotional as well. My son works in another state as a liftie, so winter time is busy for him. He’s here until Dec 14, so we’ll do something special before he leaves. My parents go to Virginia and spend Christmas with my brothers every year, they also live in WA and I’m in AZ. We’ll have a white elephant party on the 21st with friends, which is always a good time. This is the first holiday without my daughter, so it’s going to be a tough one as well.
My family loves to check out the local Christmas decoration, bake cookies, and attend several holiday events. This year instead of going to the beach, we will be doing a few small trips throughout the month to visit with family and make some new memories!
Im in the UK so because we have a tiny house and a big family its a two day event , i will be so glad to put up my feet on boxing day night with a good book
My parents are in their 90s so a quiet Christmas day and the Grandkids and kids will come after Christmas to celebrate
I used to have a big dinner with ham and all the trimming, but about 10 years ago I started asking my kids what they wanted so every year is different, I’m waiting for suggestions now, I’m hoping soup and sandwich, chili, with dessert
My family always get together to eat, drink, play games and watch all the kids open gifts. The whole day is full of love, fun and makes wonderful memories!
I will be cooking. It’s my husband, daughter, and I left at the house. But son and his little family may be coming over.
We have a specail treat this year. Our youngest daughter and granddaughter and son in law were supposed to be away this year with his family but instead will be with us. So I have both my girls and granddaughter with me. Nothing is more important to me than spending time with my family. So this will be a real treat
My plan for Christmas is to have it at my new home this year with my family plus my sister-in-law she always celebrates the holidays with us since my brother passed away which was her husband its been four years ago. We have gotten closer over the years and I think of her as my bestie, sister and mother all rolled into one and she think the same about me as if I was her daughter.

Both our boys will be working around the holidays including my youngest who works at Red Lobster and unfortunately this is the second year in a row they are open on Christmas Day. So on January 6th we’ll travel to Denver to meet my brother his and my mom to go to a Colorado Avalanche game and it’s also my moms birthday so win win all around.

Christmas is spent at my parents place, my kids are grown and it’s not as exciting (but more expensive) anymore.
I’m staying home with my family this year doing the normal Christmas Thing.
This will be my 1st Christmas in AZ so I am pretty excited about that. We will be making tamales and eating them on Christmas eve. Also doing family gift exchange and wearing our Christmas PJs. I plan to stay the night at my cousins house so we can do Christmas morning with my God Son, he is six. Then we will have a feast for Christmas dinner. Usually a prime rib roast.
I will go for Christmas dinner to my parents on Christmas Eve. I hope to bring the whole Christmas Day in my pyjamas reading some of the new books I’ll receive as presents. On Boxing Day I’ll host a salmon meal to my parents and my brother and his wife. I hope to just chill out!
Honestly, I am not sure yet. I don’t have a lot of family, and I just spent the last two weeks at my Brother’s and Sister in law house taking care of her after surgery and for Thanksgiving. Not sure if I want to travel back again so soon or just stay home alone.
For Chistmas Day just having a chill lunch with Hubby and Kids .
From boxing day 26th-31st Dec- we will be travelling doing 5 nights of speedway (sprintcars) come home New years eve morning , then head up to our Carvan for a week with all 7 kids . Then 11th Jan weekend we will go away for 2 days for our friends 30th ,
22nd -26th Jan we will be travelling doing another 5 nights of sprintcars for the Classic then leave 30th Jan and return 2ndFeb after travelling interstate for another 2 days of speedway(sprintcars ) for the Australian Title .
So basically we are speedwayed out lol

Holiday plans? I don’t really have any, aside from spending Christmas Eve with my Mom and siblings and their kids. We get together every year, eat good food, play some games and enjoy being together.
My parents are 87 & 88 and live 650kms away. I only get to see them two or three times a year so I’m surprising them with a Christmas Day visit. It’s a nine hour train trip but it will be worth the priceless look on their faces when I rock up and say, “just passing, thought I’d drop in!”
I am excited this year I won’t have to work Christmas! We will go to my mother in laws in the morning but then have the rest of the day to hang out at home and do nothing, which is the best. Honestly I’ll probably just throw some pizzas in the oven and call it good. Hope you have a great holiday season!!
My mom is flying in to visit the week before Christmas (both of my toddlers have birthdays that week!), my stepdaughter is spending her winter break with us, and my in-laws are coming after Christmas! Always love getting the family together when everyone lives in different states! We’re in Kansas, my mom is in California, my stepdaughter is in Ohio, and my in-laws are in Colorado!
I’m hosting on the 24th. Everyone brings something with fish or seafood. On Christmas Day, we open gifts, relax and watch movies.
My best Christmas gift ever was my son…. yup poor boys birthday is 20 December. That means this mumma has to organise Christmas gifys for everyone, holiday programme, sons birthday surprises and end of year wrap up of school (this year is final primary and off to secondary school so uniform next year too)

My holiday plans are surviving Christmas Eve at my sisters with her new husband and my parents, they are snobby and insufferable. My husband and I only do it for our kids. Christmas always at home with our kids, we go nowhere just hang out. Then the next day is my sons birthday so he gets to choose everything we do that day, it’s a crazy couple days.
We have a small family, so we’re having a lunch out on December 24 followed by dessert at my MILs. Quiet and cozy!

After finishing up making little bits and bobs for Christmas presents, visiting family, and all the holiday gatherings leading up to Christmas, we’ll have a nice, quiet few days with just the 2 of us, eating already prepared stuff from the shop, and loads of nibbly bits. Then I’ll gear back up to make stuff I give out at author signing events we volunteer at in the summer, and get a head start on Christmas next year!

We will spend Christmas at my in laws house. The only difference is my sister in law and I will be cooking because my mother in law is have cataract surgery on the 5th of this month and the 5th of next month. So to make things easier for her it will be at her house, but she has to do nothing but enjoy being with family.
I’ll be spending the month teaching my niece how to make candy and cook the holiday meal. And I’m not being sexist. My nephews already know how to cook but have no interest in making candy, though they’ll be in line to eat it if she’ll let them near it.

For the first time in 5 yrs we are going to put up a Christmas 🎄. My baby brother loved Christmas, so to honor his memory we are going to do it like when we all lived in the same city.
December is for us to finish remodeling our kitchen…poor timing lol. Youngest is coming in to town week of Christmas. Going to my Sister’s for Christmas Eve and then having small Christmas with my kiddos (adult sons lol) at my house
My four sons and my grandson all live with me so no need to travel 😂 I’m super excited as this is the first year in over 5 years that my grandson will be here to open presents and enjoy supper with us.

Today is giving Tuesday so I am delivering a load of toys I have been purchasing for a few months to our local fire department with our 7 year-old.

December holiday plane are to be with my kids and grands on Christmas Eve.
I work on Christmas this year so we are having to do family Christmas on Christmas Eve. We are gathering at my mom’s house. She lives in the middle of all of us kids so it’s the easiest place to go for everyone. It’s been a rough year financially for everyone, especially the country, so we are taking it easy this year, and i think that’s best. It’s more fun just watching the kiddos open presents!
My holiday plans are to have my Birthday then the next week celebrate Christmas with my family tentatively if the weather cooperates my Birthday is exactly a week before Christmas so I’m celebrating my Birthday & Christmas on Christmas instead of on Birthday which I absolutely hate so winning this would really be a great Birthday/Christmas gift to me
We get our tree usually the the first full weekend in December, which will be the 7th & 8th this year. We decorate. We bake cookies and make ornaments and my household does the 25 days of Christmas. Which entails each person getting something from their favorite candy to a gift off their wish list every day from December 1st to December 25th. My grandson loves this tradition.

For the first time in years (literally!) I am going to take a full week off from work – it feels very weird after so long only taking long weekends here and there, but I am very much looking forward to it.
My plans are yo spend it with my family. Making cookies, looking at lights and sing just having fun with everyone that I love.
Nothing too crazy. Hosting my daughter’s partner and my dad on Christmas Day. May have my brother and his family with us later, but that’s up in the air right now.
We go to my husband’s grandparents house on Christmas Eve day and then come home and stay here the rest of the time with our kids.

Hopefully, my mom, my husband, and I will attend this year’s candle light Christmas Eve service at our church. They used to have it at midnight, but over the years it’s been moved to earlier in the evening. It’s still as beautiful since it gets dark here in Illinois early in the evening. It’s my favorite service of the year.
We then come home to join my father (who has always chosen to be the one who stays at home to let Santa in) , we eat, and we open gifts. Mainly because we’re all older we cherish our time together and miss those who have gone before us.
Holiday plans for us include dinner with the in-laws/grandparents on Christmas Eve. Then waking up with our little boys on Christmas morning and opening presents. Followed by dinner with the other grandparents on Christmas evening. Busy couple of days but always a lot of fun. Merry Christmas!!

December is filled with lots of birthdays for me. 3 grandkids two on the same day, sons 30th birthday, dad’s 80th and 3 nephews. Christmas Eve at mother in laws and Christmas Day driving around seeing the grandkids
I have to work on Christmas Eve this year, but after we will go to my parents house for dinner and all go to Church. Christmas day we spend the morning at my parents, and then head over to my Aunt’s house for the afternoon. All of our kids always conspire to have a cousin sleepover so I’m sure that will happen again this year 🙂

My holiday plans for this December include relaxing at home, watching holiday movies on Netflix, and spending time with my hubby.
My Dec ember holiday plans are pretty simple. We will most likely stay home for the holidays. We’ll eat a lot and watch movies and Christmas themed shows. Everyone in the family is too spread out to all get together at the same time any more.
I have two weeks off and my plan is to do nothing, or as little as possible for those two weeks. We will have dinner at my #2 daughter’s house. I’m finished shopping and my granddaughter will wrap the gifts. Continuing the “do as little as possible ” theme.
This year we are doing a cozy low key Christmas with immediate family, since this is the second year in a row one of our 16-year old twins has had major medical issues (hospital stays, testing, surgeries, etc.). It made us realize what is important in life and to enjoy spending time hanging out as a family.

This year’s holiday plans have been two years in the making- we are going on a cruise the week of Christmas!
This year we are keeping it chill as well. We will have our immediate family here and exchange gifts and eat some finger foods.
Nothing too special, been going out and seeing the Xmas lights. This weekend we’re going to a local farm that puts on a light show and will get to take a hayride thru it. Taking mom and she’s so excited. Xmas eve my aunt will come in town and we will have a finger food party and watch the Xmas story dressed in our PJ’s
The next morning my brother will come in town and then the wrapping paper will get to flying 😃
Taking a few days off to spend with the hubby and get the tree and deck the halls. Otherwise work work work….
To be honest, I don’t have any plans for Christmas. My family decided long ago to stop buying gifts for the adults. There are no longer any kids. Since my mom died we don’t really do a Christmas meal. Besides, apart from my twin sister that I live with and our oldest sister we live next door to, we rarely if ever see any other family members anymore. Unless they want something, of course. I personally will more than likely watch some Christmas movies or read. That’s about it.
Just staying home and cooking for 3 people. Small and quiet, just the way I like it 👍

I’m excited that the whole family will be together.
I always have family over at Christmas Eve. We eat and play games. It is always fun. It is nice not having to leave the house. On Christmas Day, my husband and I watch movies and eat the left over food. It is relaxing and just what we like.
Just us at home…we basically are in pj’s all day, play board games, watch movies and sing karaoke. We have done this the last 6 years and it’s been great.
Spend time with the while family!!! I can’t wait to all be together!!
So far my plans consist of visiting the family that is in town. I would like to go visit my brother and his wife and kids, but I’m not really sure my car can make it. It’s about 3.5 hours away, amd apparently I need new front tie rods. :/ My son and I will have a great holiday either way. He is always upbeat <3
Our typical Christmas plans are: Evening Mass at church on Christmas Eve, then we all go to my parents’ house for dinner and the kids open all of their gifts from family (grandparents, aunts, uncles). Then we go home and go to bed so Santa can come. Christmas morning, the kids open their gifts and we have a lazy morning with breakfast and enjoying their new gifts. Then we go back to my parents’ house for a late lunch/early dinner, and enjoy more time with family.
I’m hoping for a quiet Christmas, ideally husband cooking, and doing as little as possible – the joys of grown-up kids!
We will spend the rest of December making the “goodies” that our grandmothers made for us: icebox cookies, cheese wafers, sausage balls, Spritz cookies, etc…
Right now, Christmas with my mom will be Sunday the 22nd. She wants EVERYONE to go to church with her in the morning, then have a meal together at dinner time and exchange gifts that evening. I’m honestly not one to go to a church setting. I do have my beliefs, I just don’t really want to go to church with her and my brothers family..I don’t really care what kind of show or play they are putting on, I don’t like being forced to go to places. Then, I’ll have Christmas on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my little family of 4, and we will do all of our family things those days. Then the weekend after Christmas, we will go down to my MEL’S house and so her little Christmas
I’m off work for 2 weeks at Christmas time. We go to my nephew’s house for Christmas eve with the whole family then Christmas day I go to my daughter’s house with my kids and grandkids.
My siblings and their families get together once a year the weekend or two before Christmas. We live in 4 different states and don’t get to see each other more than that. Then we will do Christmas with our sons and their wives whenever they can get free from their in-laws. Then we will go to my husbands parents house back in our hometown for a day or so. Busy but nice.

My December Holiday plns are as always. Decorate our home and tree. Bake nice Holiday treats and watch Christmas movies. Go to my family’s home and exchange gifts in Cbristmas and have a nice dinner. That’s it. We also did check out the city’s tree lighting a.d probably will go to festival of lights.
My holiday plans for December include visiting a Truck stop diner on Christmas eve- my father was a trucker and it’s sort of a homage to him.
I will be crazy and bring the family to one of the colder places, yellowknife in canada hahaha hope we won’t get frostbite! a wintery christmas for the people from the philippines!
Christmas Eve I will be spending time and making cookies with my oldest daughter and her family at their place – we’ll all be recovering from the previous weekend of 4 Nutcracker Ballet performances, in which my 12 yr old granddaughter has 3 roles. Back there again on Christmas morning, with half of my kiddoes and extended family for a lovely brunch. Somewhere between Day after Christmas and New Year’s Eve, I’ll have all 4 kids and their families for posole or Filipino pancit and gift-opening. We like to spread the winter holidays out!
My plans are Christmas Eve at my house and Christmas Day at my daughters then they come to my house for dinner
I am taking 2 weeks off. Eat, sleep, read, work on puzzles, cross stitch, watch TV…basically just chill!
We are hosting our annual friends potluck the weekend before Christmas. We have been hosting it since all our kids were in daycare together. I think this may be year 12! We do a white elephant ornament exchange, games, and take lots of pics.
I’m just spending Christmas with family and cooking.
We always do Christmas at our house. Will have 10 of the grandkids and 3 of the kids. Next year we will have at least 1 great grand baby joining us. So excited!!
I am flying home to Italy for the holidays to stay with my family. Also it’s my birthday on December 26th so it’s nice to celebrate with them. We usually stay home for Christmas, eating in our pjs and relax, then I visit the millions of aunt’s and uncles and cousins and drink too much coffee ☕️

My daughter will be home from college. We will watch movies over her break & she will try to get her brother to watch Murder Drones with her. It should be very relaxing.
I get a free pass for Christmas since I hosted Thanksgiving. I plan to relax, watch tv, and read. I will have some family time. I would love for it to be quiet but that will not happen.
Christmas Eve will be spent with hubby & our grown children. Christmas Day we go to my parents house early afternoon so we can get home for the evening to relax.
We never travel during Christmas because my husband works for the postal service and does not have the seniority, though he has been there for 18 years, to manage getting any time off during any holidays. He typically works six days a week and often works on the holidays. Anyhow, we will have Christmas with my family at our home and go to my mom and dad’s for Christmas dinner.
December? I am getting ready on the 5th to celebrate turning 43, on the 16th me and my husband and Best friend will celebrate 24 years of marriage, on the 24th all of my family will spend Christmas Eve night with us to get up on Christmas to have breakfast together and on the 30th me and my husband will celebrate being together as a couple for 27 years. How blessed I feel.
We will be traveling to Oklahoma City to spend time with our parents and our adult children!

We will spend it Florida. The last year we spent in Illinois was warm and by ourselves. Hubby mowed the yard and I watch a Christmas movie. I felt sorry for myself. Lol. Told hubby we’re not staying home alone again.

Family. Extended family. And just spending a week with my family. I moved away after college, so I’m grateful for every day I can spend with them.

I always look forward to this time of year because of my girls. It will be busy with my younger one being in her senior year and a part of the second play they’re having this year. And I always look forward to having my older one closer to home while she’s on Christmas break. Mostly it’ll be pretty low-key because that’s how we like it.
Blessed to spend Christmas with family and friends. I honestly used to hate all of the parties that come with it but am learning to look forward to them.

My son lives in Maryland and will be spending Christmas with his fiancée and her family this year and I’ll spend the day with my mom.

Up until recently, it didn’t matter how far away or how close we were to my parents, my brother and I knew Santa could only find us at their house. We started the holiday’s on Christmas Eve at my uncle’s with our extended family doing dirty Santa and playing games. After the fun wore off, my brother & his family, myself, my son, and my husband would spend the night at mom and dad’s so we could play Santa to our children and mom, could play Santa to us all after we all finally went to bed. As most kids we were up early, and as adults made coffee b4 our kids could wake meme and pawpaw. We would open gifts have breakfast,pack the car and head to our significant others families to do it all again at dinner time. Then head home. It was hectic and fun. Now that my son is living 2 hours away and my parents have passed on, and my brother in Hawaii, smoke I’m in Indy, it kinda lonely and I’m trying to decide if I should even put up a tree. It will only be my husband and I come Christmas with no need for Santa. I think we are supposed to go to my husband’s niece’s house for dinner and to exchange gift cards with the 8 ppl left in his family and then go home to bed. I’ve been working hard to come up with some new traditions, but its difficult to get into the Christmas spirit when it’s mostly a time I miss the people I loved most. Please forgive me for the sad post. I am truly greatful for those memories and im positive enough to know that I now have the opportunity to form new holiday traditions with the next generation that I am hoping is coming in the next few years.
I am off form work the week of Christmas and plan to spend it with my family. We all get together on Christmas Day at my sister’s house and exchange gifts and have dinner together.
I have not made any plans for Christmas.
It will be the first Christmas without my mumbeing here and I honestly don’t want to celebrate anything.
The first thing I will do Christmas day is go to the cemetary to see mums grave,I will probably see family at some point but otherwise I will spend it alone.

I’m going back to watch my niece and nephew school Christmas program. We going have quite December. It only been like 5 or 6 months since my dad passes away. We don’t feel like doing much yet.
I am taking two full weeks off of work and am planning on spending it at home and with family.
I’ll be working! I’ll be on call the week of Christmas and working all that week except Christmas Day. Due to my call rotation, plans will be simple. I was on call last year and missed my family gathering, so hopefully it will work out a little better this year!
I have work a few hours the morning of the 24th but am off all day on the 25th. I will probably just hang out and read. Thanksgiving wore me slap out!! I would wish for snow but I want my law enforcement, emergency services, and power company friends to have a laid back Holiday Season. I see hot toddies in my future.
I am off the entire week of Christmas and plan on spending quality time with my family. We will have Christmas breakfast with the whole family the Saturday before Christmas. And I will spend Christmas Day with my parents and sister.
December is always crazy – the kids have so much going on with different holiday events!
My plans for this holiday is to spend quality time with my granddaughter . I haven’t seen her since my daughter past away 2 months ago. So, I need to celebrate her birthday, thanksgiving and chrismas in these next 3 weeks. And, give her all my love and spoiling as if this is the last opportunity I will get with her.

This year Christmas will be bitter sweet. As I said on Dec 2nd’s question; my son recently moved to SC and of course, his family went with them. This will be our first Christmas without them. 🙁 We won’t have as many people in our home that day and we won’t be able to call the kids (bc our son has us all blocked) to wish them a Blessed day, so we are taking that energy to spend time with friends that have become family. We will make our rounds dropping by each home, to give our gifts to the kids and spend some time with them. Although this is one of the MOST PAINFUL things we’ve gone through in our almost 28yr marriage, I know we will make it through this, together. We are taking this year’s Christmas one step at a time.

I don’t live close to any family/friends so I usually spend the holidays relaxing, reading, and generally catching up before year end. This year I am actually getting a visit from a sibling I haven’t seen in over 10 years so that will be my “BIG HOLIDAY PLANS”…hopefully we won’t kill each other, LMAO!

This year its super simple for me. My daughter decided to host Christmas dinner for the first time in her own apartment so we will head down there. I do stockings for the adult kids and significant others. They are drawing names. We just like playing games and laughing together
A few years ago I started spending Christmas by myself. My two sisters had a huge blowup and I didn’t want to be in the middle so I took myself out. They both did their Christmas with family & my mom went to both house’s that day, but since one sister got mad that I didn’t take her side, she stopped speaking to me. In the last couple months we have been getting along. I don’t really know what the plans are yet. As crazy busy as I am up until Christmas. I honestly don’t mind the day all to myself where I don’t have to think about every single word I say before I say it.

We will go look at lights around town leading up to the big day. On Christmas, we will be having a relaxing day at home.

My holiday plans are fairly quiet this year. I spent Halloween in Parker, CO with my kids and grandkids where we celebrated early to accommodate everyone’s busy schedules. It was lovely and I nearly got snowed in during the first snow of the year. My daughter and granddaughter and flying out to spend New Year’s here with me.
I host Christmas dinner so I’m currently in preparation mode while still trying to get all gifts out of the way. It’s a bit hectic for me right now.
My parents retired to warmer climes, so before the holiday chaos starts, I might drive to the beach and wade into the water for a moment of peace.
Well my company I work for is currently out on strike and I spent the last month sick so I’m trying to get caught up on Christmas decorating and prep whole not overdoing life.

Unfortunately we’ll just for the holidays but as a first responder I’ll be working a lot during the holidays. We have a tradition where we do grandparents gifts on Christmas Eve, and we do Santa and parents gifts on Christmas day. I’ve loved doing it that way, we have done it since I was a little kid, and now we do it with our kids.

Kicking it off with vacation for the week. I’m hosting a family gathering with my family. Having various soups and pies. Then just like every year for last 30 years, I’m going to my ex’s family for Xmas eve. My grown step daughters will be there and I can’t wait to hug them. Then rest of week will be spent in my pj’s with hallmark or netflix on . Can’t wait for the R&R!!!!

Our holiday plans keep us very busy for two days. On Christmas Eve we go to my daughters’ sister in law’s home. My daughters are married to brothers so we always get both sides of the family together. We have a turkey dinner, play games and the kids all exchange gifts. On Christmas Day we start out at our one daughter’s home for breakfast and opening gifts. Then we go to my other daughter’s home and open gifts. Then everyone comes to her house and we have an eat when you want kind of buffet and play more games. The grandkids invite friends and boyfriends over so it’s a house full of fun.

I only work a half day on Christmas Eve and have all of Christmas day off so once I get off work, we’re going to visit our local thrift shop for our annual Christmas Eve thrift shop treasure hunt. Once home, we’re hunkering down with whatever takeout that we can afford and settling in for a night of Christmas movies until we can’t stay awake anymore. Christmas day, we’ll sleep in and just relax between reading, watching movies or surfing the net. It doesn’t really matter what we’re doing to relax, we just love spending time together.

My baby sister who lives on the other side of the country will be visiting over Christmas which she hasn’t done in a very long time! I’m so excited
My partner and I spend Christmas Eve having a meal with his parents, then Christmas morning we pack up the dog, stocking staffers, and food and head over to my parents’ place to hang out with my immediate family through boxing day. Quieter than most since none of us siblings managed kids, but lots of puppies and love.
This year it’s just my hubby and I. Haven’t planned menu but we’ll listen to Christmas music 😎
No special plans. Already went on the North Pole Express to see Santa and Mrs Clause. Will try a couple more holiday events with my son.
This Christmas I will be spending with my soon to be three year old daughter, Rhiannon, her birthday is on the 17th, 🖤 and I’ll be with my husband. We are trying to come up with holiday traditions. I know we will be making a gingerbread house and taking her to see Santa. If anyone has any ideas of what budget friendly holiday traditions we could start doing, please let me know 🖤
It has been challenging trying to find new ways to celebrate the holidays the past several years after the deaths of my only child, my husband, a brother, my parents, and my closest friend, but I have found great joy in traveling to new places and meeting new people over the holidays.
I’m headed to your neck of the woods in a few weeks! Spending Christmas with my sister and her family in Littleton. My son will drive up from the Springs to join us. Can’t wait since it’s been a couple of years since we’ve all been together during the holidays.!
Our December is all about getting our house ready for Christmas Eve. It is my husband’s birthday and we host a lot of family for our Christmas celebrations. We have the same Santa (for 20 years now) come out and everyone gets a present and you can sit on Santa’s lap too. My husband and son put on the best dinner. We have turkey and prime rib and a bunch of sides. I also make 12 pumpkin pies. My Mom used to make 6 pies before she passed the tradition down to me. I have been asked to make 6 regular and 6 graham cracker crusts. I give all of them away to friends and family. I keep one or two for our house. My Mom has been gone 11 years this past November and this is a way I can share this memory and tradition with my children that also helps with the pies. Christmas Day is spent with our family watching movies and eating leftovers and junk food. We all stay in our p.j.s all day. It is our time to catch our breath and relax. I hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday season.
Our Christmas plans are based around the birth of our first grandchild. I unfortunately only have the public holidays off so pretty much work as usual.

I’m off work starting the 20th until the end of the year. I’m looking forward to seeing my family for Christmas. I will have to travel to them.
Pretty much just baking and making sure I have all my last minute gift’s bought. This month goes way to fast!!!😳
I’m recovering from surgery and it’s a long process. It was knee replacement. I am going to put all my extra energy, when not doing PT and working on getting better, to slowly putting my Christmas decorations up. It’s going to take a lot longer, with lots of breaks, but I also hope to maybe get some Christmas baking done.

I have all of my family over on Christmas for lunch. We eat, open presents, laugh, and have a good time together. Hopefully, we will get out and see Christmas lights.
I’m A little behind this year, but today I will start decorating my house for the holidays. It’s just my husband and I, but I do it for me! I love the decorations, reminds me of my younger days when all the nieces and nephews were little and we’d all visit each other. Christmas Eve I’ll have a couple friends over and make some snacks, A few cocktails, and watch Christmas movies. I have no grandchildren and my son lives in Texas, I live in WV.
To relax after working the holiday season and reading as much as I can
On Christmas Eve we’ll spend the day with my husband’s family (and eat some delicious food!), then we will drive home that night so the kids can be home and wake up at home for Christmas morning! Presents and breakfast at home, then Christmas afternoon at my parents’ house across town!
No definite plans yet but they always revolve around my work schedule, I work 12 hour night shifts and my family all work day shift, and because I’m the one cooking, LOL and I’m currently waiting suggestions for dinner, I love to drive around town looking at Christmas lights with my grandkids while playing chipmunks Christmas music
Christmas will be at our new house we purchased two days before Thanksgiving with my friend, three kids and youngest grandson. Then on December 26th I fly to NH to see my other three grandchildren and their parents. So excited.

We go to my cousin’s and in-laws on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day we go to my brother’s and my husband’s Grandma’s house. It’s a busy 2 days!
I asked my brothers gf to host our Christmas eve dinner. My hubs and I are redoing our bathroom so there’s stuff everywhere. She was nice to say yes. It’s only us and my one aunt and uncle. Not too busy.

Traveling to all stay in a house together for 3 days there’s going to be like 35 of us.
Last night we kicked off our December plans with my two daughters Christmas program for school. My youngest got to have a solo playing the bells. Now, all that’s left is decorating, shopping, and spending time with family. We will be getting out and going sledding here at some point when we get a little more snow.
I don’t really celebrate christmas. I have a dinner with my family and provide stockings for my children. I was never able to afford a christmas for my children when they were young and then I started to educate myself and realized “the reason for the season” is consumerism and I can celebrate my family and do nice things for them at any point in time in the year.
We like to keep the holidays lowkey – sometimes all the hustle & bustle get in the way of what is truly important. We plan to relax, eat too much and may or may not get out of our pajamas. Thanks!

My holiday plans will be of me working through the holiday. I’ll be getting my kids ready to go visit family in Mexico and we will be spending new years in Mexico with my hisbands family and our kids.
My holiday plans are pretty much the same as usual. Christmas Eve is spent with extended family and on Christmas day my mom, daughter and her boyfriend come over and we open gifts, have dinner and spend the day together. Nice and quiet.
Christmas Eve with my dad’s family, Christmas morning at home and afternoon with the inlaws, and the following day at my stepdad hopefully.
Dinner with family, lots of playdates for the kids, and hopefully some ice skating and Christmas movies!
My kids spend Christmas with their dad so I started a tradition of flying to Colorado Springs to spend Christmas and NY with my bestie (who introduced me to your books) and her husband!
The holidays are not a great time for me. We lost my dad back in 1991 on December 22 and had to bury him in Christmas Eve. As you can imagine, that tends to stick with you through the years. Christmas just isn’t the same. Especially since my daughter lives 1,200 miles away in Oklahoma and I’m in Maryland. But I get through it with the help of my brother and my close friends. We’re a village and we stay close.
My holiday plans are to spend it with my Son, Daughter-in-Law and 2 Grandsons. We open presents, eat and play games afterwards. Always good times with my family. Thanks for this amazingly generous giveaway.
Spending Christmas Day with my family, hubs and my kids. The hubs and I have been together for 25 yrs. His sister is hosting. We are all planning on wearing ugly Christmas sweaters this year and doing a white elephant gift exchange. There’s gonna be so much food… We always play UNO and I plan on being home crowned UNO Champion.. lol
We are spending Christmas in New Orleans, LA and spending New Years Eve at a plantation called the Myrtle’s. I’m looking forward to it.
I come from a large Irish family. I have 5 sisters and 1 brother. I have several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. We are all getting together on the 22nd. We try and celebrate a few days before or after Christmas so almost everyone can make it. Getting together with family is always the best thing about the holidays ☘️
December plans? It’s my birthday month! My husband is taking me to Charleston, SC so I can visit friends. (I used to live there) Next, I have hockey games on NYE.

My plans are to survive the holidays. Having three kids and parents that are split makes it tough. I’ve gotten 95% of my shopping done already, just need to wrap everything.
My holiday plans are to recover from $10k in unplanned work on my house. The house is SO torn up! Otherwise, I have a family party in two weeks. Nothing exciting and I’ll most likely sew for the actual Xmas day. (Sewing is my passion!)

My parents are visiting so we will be spending time with them this Christmas!

We always have all the kids and grandkids, my sister and my husbands parents over on Christmas Day. We do tacos for lunch then open presents and just spend time together.
I just want my December to be more low key than it has been. Someone hit my car and took off without saying anything so I’m dealing with that currently. I just want warm and cozy with friends and family.
Host the family! 90-year-old Parents live in-town now instead of one state over. Our son has gifted us with 5 grandbabies now, and if the timing works, my daughter will just be moving into her recently refurbished home. (Bought a fixer-upper)
We always decorate the inside and outside of our home the first couple of days of December. Throughout the month we take drives through town to look at all the decorations and Christmas lights. We visit family a lot. We always spend Christmas Eve at home and Christmas Day at my in-laws. This year is already starting to be chaotic but it’s the best kind of CHAOS! 🎄🎄🎄

Unfortunately my December plans consist of working to play catch up on bills and hope to buy a little something for family if I can. I work Christmas day so my family and I are celebrating together on the Saturday after. Can’t wait!
Hopefully a somewhat quiet month. Granddaughters will be out of school and I’ll watch them. Do some crafts, maybe baking.
My plans for this month are to get all of my kitchen crap back into the kitchen so that I can cook and bake. What seems like my entire house has been upended with unexpected repairs that I really can’t afford but have to do or the place will literally fall down. Or burn up—electrical issues in addition to rotted joists. But, I have a family party before Xmas and I am eagerly anticipating a calm Xmas where I can sew for awhile.

On Christmas Eve, we’re all gonna get together and make hot chocolate then walked down Christmas tree Lane. Come back to our house and sit around the bonfire visit and eat chicken posole. Then on Christmas, it’s just gonna be us, our kids and their significant others. And my grandbaby it’s his first Christmas. We’re gonna have Christmas dinner and sit around and watch Christmas movies.

My holiday plans are to host an afternoon Christmas Cocktail Open house this year. We usually host a big dinner but I prefer this, as there’s waaay less food (we eat too much during the holidays) but a lot of cheer!

My mum and I are doing just a super low key Christmas day. We’ll have a small meal together at home with our dogs. We’ll give the girls (our fur babies) their presents and maybe exchange a gift each. Because of my health we really can’t do much and haven’t been able to for the last few years. Being together is most important for us though.

Taking my daughter to see the nutcracker and myself for the first time, family PJ Christmas party, family birthdays, Christmas with granny, we do Christmas with our children Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day we do Santa first thing in the morning, Christmas with my parents and then Christmas dinner with my husbands family. It is jammed packed with family and Christmas fun!

This year (every year ) we will travel 1,000 miles to our families. Eve will be with my in laws and Day at my mother’s. We’ll be away for two weeks and it’ll be exhausting. But great too.

We take the last 2 weeks just to unwind… food, sitting by the fireplace outside, reading books, and just taking time with friends.
I will spend it in historic St Mary’s Georgia. My daughter’s boyfriend lives there so we usually spend the holidays there.
We are hosting the last squad holiday party of my husband’s career. He retires this coming summer so all of the deputies and sergeants he’s trained over the past 25 years will join us. We’re doing a tree decorating and gingerbread house building contest.
We will be going to my youngest sons. My only grandbaby is under 2 and it’s time he learns about Santa, so we will celebrate there!
I manage a restaurant in Florida, and we are open 365 days a year. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Eve are 3 of our busiest days. So I will be working. I enjoy it. We are located in a timeshare, so there are a lot of families that come year after year and we get to watch families grow and really build lasting relationships with them. My family lives in NM, so working also helps me to miss them less.
No plans this year. Just a quiet one at home. If we’re lucky we might be able to arrange a nice Christmas lunch

Going to celebrate my birthday and spending Christmas with my mom and having our dinner and relaxing playing board games watching movies.
A lovely Christmas spent with family, sharing laughter and good food. Then a most peaceful and quiet evening wrapped up in a good book, namely 321, I saving it to savor like the last piece of fudge in the box….
We spend Christmas Eve with my family, and Christmas day with the in-laws. We’re very lucky that everyone (except 1 brother) lives within 2 hours, so getting together is relatively easy.
I’m hosting Christmas Eve . LOTS of food movies and games. And of course presents 🎁

Christmas break will have different things to do. We go to my cousins an hour away for the day and have food and the cousins all sit and play games while our kids play their own games. Then my granddaughters birthday is the 27th so we will be doing something for that.

Our Christmas Eve celebration has become very popular with our family so we will be hosting. We are so lucky. My daughter is married now for a year.. Well, almost 2 and they dated with us and his parents until Riley got his license and turned 16. So we all got to know each other really well. We are now included in every holiday with them. I’m so thankful for that. Not many people are close to their son in laws family. But we love them and are so thankful for them. So, we will spend Christmas Eve with his grandparents. Then Christmas breakfast with Riley’s mom and dad and brothers, but then have our time with just my daughter and her husband later Christmas Day.

We are celebrating Christmas early this year with our three children, there spouses, and 3 of our 4 grandchildren, as our daughter and her hubby are going to Texas to spend Christmas with our Grandaughter and her new husband. Christmas day will be a quiet day with our Grandaughter, Alley who is staying here in in New York to watch the house and dog.
I’m not sure what my plans are. I’m going to a Christmas show this weekend and other than that everything’s up in the air. My grandma just got moved into a nursing home, so we might spend the day there. She’s always lived with us, so it’s going to be a difficult Christmas.

I work in retail – so work till I drop, then do it all over again! Only three more weeks. I do get one weekend off and am planning to go out for sushi and the arcade with my niece. We will spend Christmas day with family, but I work on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day.
Knee replacement is on the 12th. We will all meet and do a dirty Santa. Then we will eat soup, ham, and have everyone bring appetizers.
My Dec plans are to go as many Holiday Craft Fairs that I can find. I love seeing all the homemade gifts knowing I will find something special for a family member. We then go to look at Christmas lights the weekend before Christmas. Christmas Eve we always go and buy tamales and all the other fixings for a nice Mexican meal for dinner. Christmas Day we spend with my entire family (all 15 of us).
Since it’s just myself and my kitty girl Miss Meleeta I will make myself a nice dinner christmas day. I will wa5ch Shirley Temple movies all too. Would really like to read these books as well.
The holidays this year are feeling much more festive than the previous year. I am still in the “starting over” stage after a fresh divorce but this year , I feel the hope portion returning.
Our plans are chaotic and boring at the same time. Since we are serving overseas Christmas is in January here, the orthodox one, so nothing to do during regular Christmas. Our daughter is volunteering at the charity bazaar … which really means mom is going to do a ton of crafts, cooking and work in her name! Busy, very busy.
We had Christmas at Thanksgiving because 4 of the 5 kids and their families were all here. Some of the kids might come over Christmas eve to play cards but Christmas day this year is just me and the hubby. We usually go the movies on Christmas day and then I’m sure football will be on the rest of the day.

We always have a small Christmas now that all ob my cousins and myself have kids and spouses family to go to we never can all get together. So Christmas eve is my family (parents, brother and his girlfriend and dog) we do presents and then Christmas day we have an open house for any of my aunts (no uncles here) have no where to go or friends as well! We do food have sweet treats for anyone who comes with a small gift or we do the plastic wrap ball game/something similar!

December is filled with School concerts, last minute shopping and decorating. It also means nights to just drive around and look at Christmas lights. Christmas eve and Day mean lots of family, food and fun and of course some presents.
I’m trying to fit in as many memories with my kids as I can get. They are getting shorter as I have a 19, 17, 10, & 8 year Olds. The older ones don’t seem to want to spend as much time with me as the little ones. So I have to cherish them as much as I can.

This year I’m honestly just trying to make it through the holidays as my mom passed away in January of last year 4 days before my birthday. First year without being able to have her for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I do have an amazing family to help me get through it
13 years ago when we bought our house my grandmother said, “great now you host Christmas.” She passed away before getting to be there but my whole maternal side of my family still comes to my house every year because she said I own it.
This will be the first year that I do not have my son and his family here from the day after Christmas through the first week in January. They live in TN, and decided that they were now going to take turns for holidays spending them at their house versus driving 13 hours to our house. So they came for Thanksgiving this year. So it will probably be just my husband and I Christmas morning, until our twin daughters come over in the afternoon with their families. but since I cooked for Thanksgiving, they will either order in or they will cook something for Christmas Day. And then we will probably pay board games while the 14 months old and the 21 months old sleep.

Our plans…… we have just moved to Minnesota and our entire family is coming to visit. So it’s a frantic race to get everything unpacked and host 9 additional people. So basically lots and lots if work and then joy!

This December I’m going to try go keep my son busy so he doesn’t go crazy with video games. Need to finish shopping for him, but this postal strike and snow days are not helping me out with that.
work to 130 on Christmas eve then do a surf and turf with my family at the inlaws that night and slow cook the ham so less hoopla next day. Christmas meal at the inlaws with my family and the sister in laws family. Feast includes turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, plus perogies with mushroom cream gravy, cabbage rolls and ham, and of course some green veggies and a plethora of deserts. All 6 grandsons get to do the cleanup after and take home all the leftovers. No plans set for new years eve, will likely fall asleep well before midnight.
Relax with Family and Friends
We will just be here at the house. Family will come over in the evening. My kids will put together another skit to surprise the family again this year. And we will just be happy to be together. Bonus: we are sharing our experiences with an exchange student from France.

After lossing out beloved snag dog Nellie suddenly in Novemer we will be welcoming a new little snaggie Willow, on the 23rd of Decemer. I’m sure she was picked just for us by our Nellie. Otherwise farmlife harvesting grain, feeding livestock and trying to keep cool in Australia.
Not much, just lots of family time. Making sure we visit with everyone whether they live here or are coming from out of town. Entertaining the nieces & nephew during Winter break from school and of course lots of gift shopping

Happily, all 3 of my adult children will be home for Christmas. I have a quick trip to AZ planned for my goddaughter’s baby shower and another quick trip to the coast of NC to see my dad in his nursing home. The rest of the time with be at home decorating and cooking and maybe painting.

My family has a set tradition. On Christmas eve we make around 200-330 feet of potato sausage, then boil it up and eat for dinner. we all take some home to fry up the next day. since everyone is so tired that day we just relax and then on Boxing day i cook a turkey dinner for about 20 people
My December plans are getting together with family and friends to celebrate Christmas as well as 5 birthdays! It is always a busy month.
Our Christmas will be quiet. Just me, my husband and hopefully our daughter will come to visit for Christmas Eve and day.
My family’s holiday plans are derailed because we’re taking care of/mourning my Dad.
Otherwise just a quiet day at home.
Baking a variety of cookies, buying and wrapping presents and two different get togethers with large extended family.
I will have my children over for Christmas Day.
My December holiday plans mainly involve spending as much time as possible with my family, both immediate and extended. Now that I’ve moved closer, I can be part of more of the little things, like my niece’s pre-school Christmas play. Also looking forward to my own kids being home for a few weeks.
My December plans include spending lots of time with my children and my granddaughter making memories. We will go to see the light displays, visit a Christmas market, make some special Christmas treats, etc. Of course there are presents to buy and wrap. Then a big extended family dinner on Christmas Eve and another Christmas feast on Christmas Day.
I work Christmas Eve until 4pm and then traveling to my sisters for a family get together. Then home for Christmas movies, a little warm something to drink and snacks. Wake up Christmas day and spend the day with my young adult children, have dinner and go look at the lights.
This year it’s all about family. I have a newborn nephew and my daughter is already 16. If there’s a chance to spend time with her, I’m taking it! We’ll be home, celebrating in our own way.
This December, my husband and I are taking a short trip to Seattle to see the Boston Bruins against the Seattle Kraken, to celebrate his birthday. The week after, we’re heading to Laughlin Nevada, he won a two day stay in a golf tournament. For Christmas, we’ll be home celebrating with our daughters.
I will spend it with my 92 year old mother who unfortunately is very ill. Make memories with those you love while you can.
Dec 14 will head to hometown to do early Christmas with my grandma before she goes to AZ for winter.
Than actual holiday will probably just do dinner with the in-laws
We are taking a family cruise! Our entire family are going and we leave next week!
Our plans are to stay home most of the holiday with our one trip being to see my sister in law who lives out of state. We will probably go drive around and see Christmas lights too

We have 3 different christmas’ to go to. My mom’s, my boyfriends family, and his girlfriends family. Most of the holidays/birthdays we can get away with everyone just coming to our house. But for Christmas we go to theirs. Makes for a long 2 days but it’s worth it.
Most weekends we have hockey for my oldest and since Hanukkah falls on Christmas this year we’ll be pulling double duty with family get together.
Wow you are going to ride a horse on Christmas morning? I have not ridden once since I was a teenager. I miss those carefree days.
My plans consist of cooking and cleaning and working. I know it doesn’t sound like much fun. But, I am taking a few days off of work, so I can at least sleep in. Woo hoo! 4am comes too early and I do need a break from that.
It is so hard to make Christmas plans when a member of our immediate family is critically ill. We will definitely get together as a family even if it is after the Holidays. But in the mean time the gas tank is always full and ready to go at a moments notice.

I’m having fun crafting with my toddler nephew. Also, he’s started looking for presents which I didn’t realize until after he’d found them. LOL. He doesn’t know they were presents he just wanted fun and different toys to play with. So we’ll probably be building cars and towns with magnetic blocks all month then he’ll unwrap them on Christmas and still be happy about it.
My plans are to read, decompress, and spend time with my family. The last few years have been spent in a hospital and finally this year we have peace.

I cook for every holiday and the family all joins in whichever meal they can make so I’m cooking Christmas Eve, breakfast Christmas Day and lunch Christmas Day and the dessert Christmas night. It’s a lot but I would not change it for the world. My four kids are all gathered with their significant others or friends, my dad and relatives – its rowdy, singing, jockeying for the last piece of whatever and laughter. (This year is really funny because we have added two kittens to our brood and it’s their first holiday. Kittens swinging in the Christmas tree and batting the balls around. Oh boy!!! We were supposed to foster them for the dog pound till they were old enough to be adopted out to another family. That didn’t work -not sure how you give them back after bottle feeding and loving them; so now we have 6 cats – crazy times but it’s worth it in the long run and I wouldn’t change it.) My husband I will spend a quiet day at home and maybe a trip out to the beach. We’ll enjoy some Moussaka, Apple Sharlotka and Prosecco.

This is the year of peace, no visitors, no one staying with us, no place we NEED or HAVE to go to. We are going to let the kids come and go, spend time with them when they give it to us, gifts exchanged, and we are going to chill and enjoy the peace for once and not let the season slip by too fast
We haven’t really solidified plans yet. But we’l probably go to my sister in law or mother in laws house on christmas eve and go to my moms or have them come here for christmas night dinner. We typically do a roast beef, fresh broccolli & hollandaise, with yorkshire pudding. We always do Christmas crackers/poppers too. Those are always fun.

I don’t plan on doing any cooking since I have ordered a holiday meal to be picked up on Christmas Eve. I am going to watch movies, read and not talk to anyone in person. My two daughters are coming home for Christmas. My sister and brother are coming home with their families and we’re surprising my parents with Christmas dinner on boxing day. It will be the first time ever that all the families will be together under one roof.
I am still recovering from back to back knee replacement/reconstructive surgery (straightened my legs and turned my feet!) so we won’t be doing much. We are going to do a bit of decorating and put our tree up this weekend. Kids, grandkids and great-grandkids will be dropping in and out throughout the holiday. Christmas Day get together at our house!
Have a couple of family functions.
School Christmas parties. Holiday party with my Dad’s family. My niece is getting baptized. Spending time with my Mom and sister. Wrapping up the month with a lunch ladies from my mother’s family. Lots of love.
I am going to deliver meals on wheels with my mom every weekend in December. We will have a nice quiet meal with family and a gift exchange.

Which is hard cause the munching is Now on the cusp of not believing… the other 2 don’t help either. While batch making chirstmas treat hampers. We do this every year for parents, brothers and sisters, and a few friends. The girls like to take the teachers home made treats and cakes too. We tend to make most of our gifts ourselves from mugs to totes to anything else we can think of. Last year my hubby made wooden chrismas tree with candle holders and wooden robins, to help remember his dad at Christmas and all year round really. The girls decided we making everyone a tree bauble this year painted with the person’s name on it. So yeah so not gonna stop until after new year lol x enjoy being at your daughters x

This year, the weekend before Christmas we’re traveling to south Texas to spend a few days with my sister and her family. Then on Christmas Eve, we will spend time with my dad and stepmom. Christmas morning, which is also my birthday, my kids always get picked up by their dad to spend the rest of the week with him. I’ll probably spend that day reading or napping.
Happy Saturday! Plans for the holidays? Well, will most likely just be my sons and I. Daughter will be traveling. We are holding our own Christmas day with her next weekend. Oh, baking up a storm as well. Plus, work, work, work LOL

My December plans this weekend a family Christmas party on Friday and then on Saturday we have a family cookie making day, where everyone makes 2 or 3 different cookies at home and then packages them about a dozen per family “there’s 16″, but also all the women and children ” under 18″ meet at grandmas “there’s 5 generations” and watch movies, do crafts, and make more cookies and decorate sugar cookies all together. While the guys get together and do whatever guys do. And then Christmas starts 2 days before Christmas my immediate family has 5 days of Christmas at different houses for food, unwrapping presents, and being together as A family.
gifts are bought and wrapped. Now heading for a week to the beaches of Florida, then concentrate on family holiday time.
Celebrated my grandson’s 18th birthday on the 5th and celebrating mine in 2 weeks. Spending ChristmasEve at my cousin’s house with my family and Christmas Day will be home
My Christmas holiday plans revolve around family. Spending time with my parents and children and in-laws. There will be lots of family games, so some light hearted banter/bickering will be the order of the day.
My oldest son is coming home to CO from Key West with his new girlfriend and we are all going to my youngest son’s house since they just had a daughter in October and it is safer for them not to travel in the snow. Can’t wait to have both my boys and my granddaughter’s first Christmas.

Oh my goodness, it was Day 3 and I was going to respond when I got home. Now, it is day 7. We spend the holiday’s with our family- it is always different since COVID and now that most of the kids (nieces and nephews have jobs) when my father in law passed away in 2016 I had to learn how to make Prime Rib and that has been the norm ever since. Apparently, we are doing Christmas breakfast this year- this allows for the kids to join their in-laws and/or work for later parts of the day. I have been tasked with Biscuits and Gravy

Coming from split families my husband and i have always had a lot of people to visit around Christmas and celebrate with. This year is no exception, the weekend before Christmas will be spent celebrating with my maternal side, Christmas day with hubs maternal side, Boxing Day with my Paternal side and in amongst all of that we will celebrate with our friends. My biggest celebration this year though will be that our oldest at 24 has had a change at work and now has the same weekends off work i do so will be able to travel the 5ish hours and spend Christmas with all of us, something until last week we weren’t going to be able to do.
No special plans for the December Holidays as this year it will just be me and the Mrs, but looking forward to a quiet & relaxing time.
We’re going to our timeshare in Florida which is one town away from my mother-in-law’s condo on the beach. We’re not sure she’s staying there much longer as living on the beach can be hard when you’re over 80, using a cane and you’re barely near 100 lbs soaking wet with shoes on because it can get windy! Fortunately, she has options on where to go to be near family. Anyway, we’ll be making the meals together and staying a few nights at the condo. And I’ll get to meet up with my 2 aunts who will be a 3-hour drive away on their holiday vacation together.

Christmas looks different for us this year. Without my father, we aren’t feeling much holiday spirit so we’ll probably keep it chill and make sure there are at least gifts for my daughter.
For now it is just my husband and myself for Xmas. We are hoping my niece and her son will join us for Christmas, however, that is still up in the air. The day after Christmas my neighbor and I are off to see a movie and have dinner afterwards. That’s our way of relaxing after having to do all the cooking 😊
Holiday plans for December is cooking a good meal and spending time and relaxing with my husband daughter and mom who survived a stroke last year January. I count my blessings everyday that she is still here and waste no time appreciating that even when things is hard on me as her caregiver and she lost her mobility.

It’s summer in New Zeland for Christmas. As a nurse I’ll work right up until Christmas but then I’ve taken 3 weeks off. We will spend Christmas day with may family at my aunties with my 2 boys who will spend the whole day in the pool.
I landed in Philippines last night. My husband and kids should arrive tonight… And then we will travel and have fun with our friends… Hopefully we will spend Christmas day on the beach before returning home on the 28th.

We have rehearsals every weekend and a few through the week this month as two of my kids prepare for a ballet. Their studio does a like professional ballet every year that includes 4 showings within ONE weekend!! This year is a retelling of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves!
My husband and I are only children and we’ve lost our parents. So we usually stay home for the holidays and cook and watch Christmas movies. Sometimes we will go out to eat and see a movie. Or volunteer.

I am driving 650kms to spend Christmas with my elderly parents who can no longer travel due to poor health.
We are having Christmas at my oldest daughter’s house this year. My 5 daughter’s, their partners, and my grandkids will all be there. Gifts, food, movies, and grandma cuddles.

This Saturday my son and I are going to go to a Christmas themed haunted house with Krampus. Then the following Saturday the 21st we’re going to the ballet to see The Nutcracker. We go every year so that’s tradition. Then the Saturday after that the 28th we’re going to see the movie Nosferatu. I only get Christmas day off work. I have to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday so we’ll just probably open presents for Christmas day maybe watch some Christmas movies then I have to go back to work.
My plans for December are to merely survive. Everyday is a struggle to provide food for my family.

My holiday plans are to spend time with family and plan activities with my kids over their break.
Well this year I kicked of the Christmas holidays early, which is a first, but I put my tree up the weekend after Halloween. I love decorating and I just decided it goes by so fast and we put in so much work to only have the decorations up a few weeks, but not this year. Lol! Luckily both of my boys that are grown live close by. We are all going to my youngest son’s house this year. We all try to wear matching pj’s or sweaters and we love cooking together and I must add my youngest surprises me with his cooking skills. Some things he cooks even better than me. 💙 We always watch Christmas movies together and they love the decorations as much as I do. We always say we are not going to cook a big meal like we do Thanksgiving, but we always do.. 😄 We will spend the whole day together, open presents, eat, watch movies and play games. I do love Christmas and I’m going to make the most of it this year as I was in hospital for the whole of December last year and missed it completely.
I will Cook the turkey at my house and take it round to my daughter’s house 7 minutes away where we’ll have a wonderful day together

For December I am working and going to appointments for my two sons and I. At the end of the month I am hoping to drive them up to my parents so they can stay there for a few days between the holidays.
See my family and hopefully go snowshoeing 🙂
We are taking the kids on a Polar Express train ride. Also, my husband, my oldest daughter, and I are going to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra for the first time.
Going to visit my friend’s sister in the mountains.
This Christmas will be my son’s first, so my husband and I are spending it at home together as a family for the first time 🥰

My work ends until after Christmas mid December, then its tree up and decorated, and myself and my family enjoying the trees lights in the living room all Christmas holiday.
Unfortunately, no holiday plans. As I mentioned in the comments section for “Giveaway 2”, about two weeks ago, I fell, due to a new balance disorder, and fractured my tailbone. That was bad enough, but within the same 24 hour time period, my 85 year old dad fell and broke his hip, was hospitalized, needed surgery for his hip, and while hospitalized, it was discovered that he has a heart problem which had gone undetected (something which was only discovered because his vitals were being so carefully monitored and his heart was apparently doing all sorts of “crazy” things) so he also required a pacemaker. My dad just returned home from the second part of his hospitalization (inpatient rehabilitation and PT). All in all, the outcome could have been much worse, but my dad , surprisingly, is doing “okay” under the circumstances. My youngest sister, her husband, and my nephew had to leave their new home in Utah and move into my parents’ home, in California, to help take care of my Dad. My Mom has her own health issues (lots of autoimmune diseases, chronic pain, etc.) Understandably, she is absolutely exhausted, and in more pain than usual, after staying by my Dad’s side throughout his 2 week hospitalization. My mom and dad have faced so many hardships and challenges throughout their long life together (mostly health related), yet they have always remained very loyal and devoted to one another, at times, literally “killing themselves” for the other person… Theirs is a great love story. My mom is still running herself ragged, doing so much, ever since my Dad returned home from the hospital. My sister who is fairly healthy but who also has some autoimmune conditions, is there to help out, but my Dad requires A LOT of care and support. Even though my Dad is doing “okay” and slowly improving, my Mom and sister are exhausted and generally not doing so well. Nobody is getting any sleep. For example, my Dad is up all hours of the night, requiring assistance to use the toilet, as he can’t do that on his own… I worry so much about everyone, and just want to be at my parents’ house to help out, but even prior to my fractured tailbone, my health issues and chronic pain would have prevented that from happening. It’s so hard and I feel so helpless (and so damn guilty, even though I know it’s not my fault that I can’t be there). This tailbone fracture is causing me so much extra pain (on top of the already excruciating body-wide chronic pain I’ve been dealing with for decades) and I’m a total zombie from lack of sleep. This tailbone fracture is “no joke”!!!!! In terms of past fractures/breaks, I’ve broken my neck (and was stuck in this huge, heavy, HALO device, screwed into my skull for 5 months), I’ve broken both pubic bones at once (along with tearing of the muscles down the insides of both legs), I’ve broken 3 ribs at once, and I’ve had some back fractures (higher up than my tailbone), and NONE of these breaks were as painful as this tailbone fracture!! Between this damn fracture and worrying about my dad, mom, and other family members, I’m kinda “losing my mind”. Even though I can’t physically be with my dad or family to help out, I’m doing what I can from my bed. I got online and found some joggers that look super comfortable and had them sent to my parents’ house. Hopefully they will work out for him… My Dad needs clothing that’s easy to get in and out of. I will do whatever else I can from this bed. Luckily, I have all of my Christmas shopping done. Being chronically ill, home bound and essentially bedridden, I’ve learned over the years to get things done in advance, partly because I need to spread things out (to save my energy ), and partly because I just never know what crazy thing might happen to my body (e.g., tailbone fracture), at any moment, making last minute gift shopping impossible. So, Christmas gift shopping is done. However, Christmas gift wrapping is not done. I always have a ton of those gift bags on hand (if anyone watches QVC you know what bags I’m referring to), that you can just place gifts into, pull on the already attached ribbons, cinching the bags closed, and voila, done!! Now, this should make gift wrapping really easy… However, I’m too weak and don’t even have the strength to do this, so I need to rely on my partner to help out… A partner who never learned to wrap a gift in his life and who is highly distracted… All of this to say, what should be something simple, turns into a huge ordeal, and frustration on both our parts. So, there’s lots to do when it comes to gift wrapping and my partner getting the gifts to everyone in time (family, friends, neighbors, nurses, doctors, etc…) Definitely NOT looking forward to micromanaging the gift wrapping this year, especially when I’m in so much pain from the tailbone fracture. Suffice it to say, nobody in my immediate family is even thinking about the holidays… Everyone is exhausted and barely coping. 2016 was the last year I was able to be with my family, celebrating Christmas, at my parents’ house. Even the years I was able to celebrate Christmas with my family, it was a MAJOR PUSH on my part to do so. It took everything I had and I would always crash, big time, afterwards. My health rapidly declined in 2017 and I haven’t been able to celebrate any holiday, in years. So, even though it’s really sad and hard on me emotionally, I’m used to not being with my family on Christmas and not celebrating holidays in general. However, what I do cherish, and look forward to, every Christmas, is seeing all of the photos and videos, of my family, together, celebrating. There are some great musicians in my family, so singing and dancing have always been a big part of every celebration, which I love. Everyone is different, and I know it might make some people feel left out, seeing photos and videos of everyone celebrating Christmas. However, and this is just me, all of the pics and videos sent my way, make me feel like I’m there, shoring in the fun and celebration. The videos, especially, are really fun to watch!! This year will be different… I don’t think I’ll be getting any photos or videos of my family celebrating Christmas. But, ya never know… Maybe my family will still celebrate, but just to a much lesser degree. The best Christmas gift I could ask for this year, is knowing that my dad is on the mend and hopefully doing better with each and every day. And I really hope my mom can somehow catch a break… She’s pushing so hard and barely getting any sleep and her pain levels are really high. So, my Christmas wish regarding her, is that she doesn’t have a major crash (she has lupus and so many other things going on), and is able to pull through this ordeal with my dad, without any major health problems. so glad my sister and family are staying at my parents’ home, indefinitely, helping out. So, yeah, Christmas is always a bit weird for me, not being able to celebrate with family…. But this year will be really weird!! There is so much craziness going on in the world… I always try to think of those that have lost everything, those that don’t even have a roof over their heads, those without food or water… And when I think in those terms, I know that even though my life can be very challenging and painful, I’m very lucky… Things could be a lot worse!! I’m sending love, light, and healing vibes to everyone in this wonderful community, and especially to anyone going through a difficult, challenging time during this holiday season. December is always busy for me between my birthday on the 12th, Christmas and my daughter’s birthday on the 28th. We make sure to do all the festive things in our area and spend time just being together for the holidays.
well we are a little poor this yr thanks to our car and TV both dieing on us, so we will mostly stay in, maybe go to local playgrounds, I already have the meats in the freezer and such for our big chrissy lunch we always do
We usually visit my parents and my in laws around Christmas. One usually before and one after. I might cook a meal for us on Christmas, I’m not sure yet.
Well, I work always. Even on Christmas. But I am remote, so I get to read and work all day long when we aren’t busy. It’s love.
My brother isn’t hosting this year & before I knew it, the words came out of my mouth that I would host it. Now it is a circus to wrangle my divorced parents who don’t like each other. Happy Holidays!
This year everyone chose to have their own intimate dinner with their families, instead of one person hosting because a lot happened this year. It will be vey nice since I’m having my first Christmas in my new home. So I am very excited!!
We will have a family gathering at our house. Around 20 people will come and this year we are having BBQ for dinner. We will open gifts together and play games, visit and have fun
My daughter, her husband and my only granddaughter are coming to visit. I’m so excited!
As soon as my classes are over I plan on doing lots of Christmas baking and reading!
No plans. I make my family miserable with plans. We stay in pj’s and open gifts and have whatever we want for dinner. Mac n’ cheese or lasagna.. or pizza.. whatever. We play games, read, or just sit and chat. The idea is that we just spend time together. My two boys love it. Even when they bring girlfriends, I get them pj’s too for lounging.
Ours daughters will be coming home from college, so we’ll all be together for the holidays.
This year my son (3) is actually excited for Christmas and all the lights. On Christmas eve I want to take him to see all the lights put up (even though we do it all the time) and watch a Christmas movie with him. On Christmas will open presents at home and then go to my moms and see all my family
We moved to a new house this year that we are still working on and because the main living area is not finished and under construction we cannot do Christmas like we normally do, so this year we are up in the air with any plans. We will spend time with family, I’m sure.
Spending time with my family
Our plans are simple, stay home and spend time with family.
I always take this time of year as vacation and work on craft projects and spend time with family. Sometimes my projects turn into Christmas gifts for the person I’m thinking about while making them. My dad and I always spend Christmas together and one year we didn’t feel like cooking so one Christmas Eve we found a KFC open and had a bucket of chicken and the sides for dinner.
Staying home with my furbabies. Sadly, the holidays are not the same anymore since my mom passed away. She always made it magical and special.
Will be pretty much like any other day this year. My husband & I are not able to go back to see family this year.
My plans are to sit on my butt at my grandpa’s and just enjoy each other’s company while eating food and watch movies.
My family is all local so we spend a little bit of time at each other’s houses and have our own traditions at each one.
I’m taking my kiddo for photos with Krampus, their favorite December person, on Friday the 13th and I’m actually pretty exited about it! We also saw the Canadian Christmas train a few weeks ago!

It is our first Christmas in the U.K. so our plan is to spend it with family and friends. We head back to the USA the next day.
I haven’t decided if I am celebrating Christmas this year yet with just losing my mom and grandpa recently. I have been debating whether to even put up my tree. Christmas will definitely feel different this year.
My December holiday plans are to spend with family. We have two of our sons and their significant others who live locally to us and one who lives with his in another state. The local kids we will have over for coffee/breakfast and presents before they spend lunch/dinner with their inlaws. My husband and I will just be lowkey and attempt to still heal from the severe health issues we have had this year.
We always have our Christmas party with all of kids (his, mine and ours). They are all adults now. We have a new house this year so a christening is in order. All my money has gone to Amazon.
No big plans for me—just spending quality time with my family. December is all about slowing down, relaxing, and appreciating the little moments with loved ones. Whether it’s sharing meals, watching holiday movies, or just catching up, I’m looking forward to the warmth and comfort of being together.

I went to a bookclub cookie swap last night, which was a lot of fun. Currently working on putting together secret Santa gifts for all of my coworkers and figuring out how to distribute them so they won’t know it’s me. Christmas will be home with my boys and my pups. Happy Holidays!

I’m sorry, there’s no way to make this short. In fact, if I ever get out of my own way, I’ve got one hell of a story to write !
This December I’m spending a lot of time developing good self care habits, playing with the grands while trying to stay warm!
This Christmas I plan to take my dad (93 years old ) who I just found/met two years ago to visit my 79 year old mother in her nursing home residence of the past 18 years. I was not raised by either of the two. My mother was in a car crash when I was a toddler. She suffered two skull fractures leaving her with brain damage and other physical issues. My grandmother dedicated the rest of her life to caring for my mother. The pair moved out of state to live close to my aunt and uncle. Leaving her children to be raised by their father (step father in my case, he knew, I learned when I was 30). He moved us from our small rural town to Dayton when I was four. He remarried and we had limited contact with our mother and her family. Our home was one of abuse, instability and just craziness. During the ten year marriage we moved twelve times ! When I’d ask about my mom the answer was always “she left you kids to run around with men and drink” so me and my siblings kinda grew up with the attitude “she didn’t care about us, why should we care about her?”
Flash forward to 2022 when against all odds I found my biological father through use of ancestry and divine intervention. He was 91 at the time.On my second visit he stared asking questions about my mother. “ I haven’t seen her in ten years” was not the answer he expected.. at all. He would ask things like, why does she live in Kentucky , why aren’t you kids bringing her to Ohio.
Because he knew I was his and who had raised me, I chose to spare him zero details about my upbringing. I also shared the few stories about my mother as they were told to me years before. He immediately said “she ran around with one man, and it was me! Your mom was a good girl, she was!”
(My dad is a hillbilly) over time he told tales of my mother’s sense of humor, friendliness and fun loving personality.
It wasn’t hard to believe maybe the step dad was lying about my mother. My sister agreed and we began to make the 6 hour round trip visits to mom, filing my dad in on her well being and how the visit went, he would often ponder going to see her himself but he had to work through his conflicting fears and emotions.

June 2024 he was ready to make the trip. Marking the first time he was to see her since ..before I was born…….but damned! if she didn’t remember him !! She sure did. She grabbed his hand in exclamation “Well, my God!!” It was reminiscent of bumping into someone you thought you’d never see again…like an old classmate in a grocery store. It was pretty incredible.
We’ve made the drive together five or six times.
I doubt I’ll ever know what happened to their relationship all those years ago but he has always told me how special she is and how he has always loved her.
Now she is his girl friend.
My Christmas will be spent taking my dad to visit his girlfriend. I’ll love every minute !
December is a couple of small family get together. Attending a college football bowl game. Reading.
Spending time with family. Karaoke night on December 25th at my sister’s house. Lots of great food and drinks at get togethers with family.
Since I lost my Mom in November we don’t feel like doing any of our regular things or even decorating, but the outside lights did go up on the house. I have taken my new Grandson (almost 6 months) to see Santa and got pictures. I know he won’t really remember any thing from this year but I will make sure that all holidays going forward will be celebrated with family traditions.
Both kids will be home from college for 2 weeks! I’ll be spending time catching up with them. Christmas Eve we always go to my Aunt and Uncles house and then my sister in laws house. Christmas Day is for laying around watching movies!
No plan other than hoping to see my brother and his family.
December Holiday Plans are to stay home, alone again. Not by choice. I just don’t have anywhere to go and no one to spend holidays with. My adult children live states away and pretty much ignore my existence since my husband passed and I plummeted into poverty. I can’t buy them or their kids anything anymore so they have no use for me. I never raised them to be thoughtless and cruel but both sure ended up that way.
Currently on our annual Christmas Cruise and sadly once thats completed. I will be in my busiest 2 months of the year at work so there are no other holiday plans.
I had big plans to decorate – so far not much has been done.☹️
Between work and my current health problems my spirit is willing but my flesh it not.
I plan on doing ALL the Christmas activities!
We’re going to see family in Michigan!

We plan to do something with my father’s family Christmas Eve, our home the morning of, and something with my stepdad (his first Christmas without mom in 36 years). Possibly, something with my in-laws if my MIL isn’t still trying to play the victim.

I’m spending Christmas Day at my sisters and will see my niece for the time in over a year. It will be low key, with just immediate family and I like that. I just like to enjoy the day without a bunch of stress.
My holiday plans aren’t too much this year. I’m working for most of it. Since I get my oldest for the second half of Christmas this year, we are doing Christmas late. We go pick her up in Colorado Springs then come back home to Texas. Then also celebrate both her and my middle daughter’s birthdays while she’s home.
I plan on spending this Christmas with my mom. We have a few activities planned with my brother and his kids during my winter break like going to Top Golf.
We will get together with family a few times right around Christmas, Christmas Eve, and Christmas day. We will get together with extended family in January.
Unfortunately, it’s been an off year and there is not much for December plans this year
My husband is off work for the whole week of Christmas for the first time in 5 years. We are going to do all the fun stuff with the kids that week and I’m so grateful to have him home for a whole week.
I have so many plans! Christmas parties, birthday parties, Christmas plays, Crafts, Decorating and baking! There is so much more too!
We will spend the holidays at home. We decided this year to decorate the whole house, we are still decorating it. We will go to various festive events that will take place in our city.
My family works on Christmas Day so we will celebrate the day before with a large breakfast very early in the morning, followed by presents, most likely a nap, board games, a nice dinner and then a cruise around town with hot cocoa and cookies to look at houses decorated with Christmas lights.
Hopefully to make a trip to Grapevine and take in all the Christmas stuff.

The holidays are a bit different for my little family this year due to relocating but we’ve been making the best of it while creating everlasting memories in our new state. So far, we’ve ventured throughout the cities to watch the trees be lit and experience live music while drinking hot cocoa. Tomorrow, we’ll be going ice skating and snow tubing for the first time with our little girl so we’re excited! We have another jam packed day next weekend where we’ll be hanging out at the arcade with our close friends. The highlight of our month will be my in-laws flying in from Georgia to celebrate Christmas with us – fingers crossed for a snow day!
My December plans are pretty simple. I hope to have dinner with my sewing friends, I have an extended family get together, and then I’m on my ow for Xmas. That will be my day to cook, although I’ll try to make some side dishes beforehand. If I don’t cook, I’ll hopefully sew the day away.
Work, work, work. I work as a retail manager and this is our busy time. Trying to squeeze some fun into my days off with my family.
