DAY 1 – 12 DAYS OF GIVEAWAYS – 2025 – HER CHAINS HER CHOICE

Welcome to my Annual 12 DAYS OF GIVEAWAYS! 

If you’re new to this – here’s how it works:

1.   Each day from December 1 through December 12 I will put up a new giveaway HERE on my website with instructions on how to enter, a detailed description of the prize, and some stuff about the book or series. Each giveaway is different and each has ONE WINNER. MY GIVEAWAYS ARE ALWAYS OPEN INTERNATIONAL 

2.   Each giveaway runs UNTIL DECEMBER 13.

3.   Winners are CHOSEN and NOTIFIED on December 14. I will be notifying winners USING THE EMAIL USED TO COMMENT ON THIS BLOG – and all winners will BE LISTED AT THE TOP OF EACH GIVEAWAY POST HERE ON MY WEBSITE on December 14.

4.   Winners have 24 hours to respond, then another winner will be chosen.

5.   ALL PRIZES WILL BE MAILED ON DECEMBER 15.  If I’m waiting on a winner to respond and they miss the December 15 mail date, that prize will be mailed when I get around to it. I live in the middle of nowhere so a trip to the post office is a “thing” for me. 🙂 So make sure you’re checking for winners on the 14th.

6.   I will send newsletters announcing giveaways on December 1, December 6, December 12, and a Winner newsletter on December 14. I NEVER send this many newsletters in a month so sorry if that feels spammy. 

7.   You can also FOLLOW MY BLOG. I will also make a blog post HERE announcing ALL WINNERS on the 14th. If you want to follow this blog there will be a form at the bottom of each post to do that. Then you get an email when I POST HERE. I don’t do that often – December is the exception because of the 12 Days and my yearly “Wrap-up” post.

MY ANSWER

I JUST MOVED! If you’re one of my regular readers you know that I had my Colorado ranch on the market for a LONG TIME and it finally sold in July 2025. I’ll tell you more about that later, but the answer to my question is… I live in IOWA NOW! The very western edge, right up against the Missouri River and Nebraska.

Never in a million years did I ever expect to move to Iowa but when I saw this house I fell in love. I adore the tiny town, I adore the scenic byway just outside my front door, I feel exceptionally lucky to live a mile away from a gorgeous state park, and I love my little house.

I don’t think it’s my final destination (though, you never know)

I plan on buying a new ranch in Wyoming in a few years. Wyoming is 100% absolutely, my SPIRIT STATE. I spent a lot of time there this past summer (I’ll fill ya’ll in on that later) and my God, no other place on Earth does it for me the way Wyoming does.

  18. I live in St. Peter’s Mo. It’s a county just outside of St. Louis. I was born and raised in St. Louis city, moved to the county 13 years ago and love it so much. My grown kids eventually followed and we all live 10 minutes away from each other which means I get to see my grandkids all the time!

  81. I live in Henderson, NV which is basically the suburban part of Las Vegas. I’ve been here for 28 years now, and have lived in every corner of Las Vegas with the exception of Summerlin, because rich people, hello. Henderson is by far the best area of all of Las Vegas. (I’m not biased)

  89. I live in North Central Pennsylvania. We have the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon nearby. It’s a very rural area. 2.5 hours from Buffalo, NY and 40 minutes from Corning, NY. Yes, most shopping is done in NY because there’s not much around the local area.
