Welcome to my annual 12 DAYS OF GIVEAWAYS!
If you’re new to this – here’s how it works:
1. Each day from December 1 through December 12 I will put up a new giveaway HERE on my website with instructions on how to enter, a detailed description of the prize, and some stuff about the book or series. Each giveaway is different and each has ONE WINNER. MY GIVEAWAYS ARE ALWAYS OPEN INTERNATIONAL
2. Each giveaway runs UNTIL DECEMBER 13.
3. Winners are CHOSEN and NOTIFIED on December 14. I will be notifying winners USING THE EMAIL USED TO COMMENT ON THIS BLOG – and all winners will BE LISTED AT THE TOP OF EACH GIVEAWAY POST HERE ON MY WEBSITE on December 14.
4. Winners have 24 hours to respond, then another winner will be chosen.
5. ALL PRIZES WILL BE MAILED ON DECEMBER 15. If I’m waiting on a winner to respond and they miss the December 15 mail date, that prize will be mailed when I get around to it. I live in the middle of nowhere so a trip to the post office is a “thing” for me. 🙂 So make sure you’re checking for winners on the 14th.
6. I will send newsletters announcing giveaways on December 1, December 6, December 12, and a Winner newsletter on December 14. I NEVER send this many newsletters in a month so sorry if that feels spammy.
7. You can also FOLLOW MY BLOG. I will also make a blog post HERE announcing ALL WINNERS on the 14th. If you want to follow this blog there will be a form at the bottom of each post to do that. Then you get an email when I POST HERE. I don’t do that often – December is the exception because of the 12 Days and my yearly “Wrap-up” post.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
THAT’S IT! I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY THIS!
All prizes this year are self-care gift baskets filled with everyday and luxury items, plus a $25 gift card and a signed copy of a a book.

WHERE DO YOU LIVE IN THE WORLD?

IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME COMMENTING ON THE BLOG IT HAS TO BE APPROVED. SO DON’T WORRY IF IT DOESN’T SHOW UP RIGHT AWAY.
MY ANSWER
I LIVE IN CENTRAL COLORADO, JUST EAST OF COLORADO SPRINGS. I’VE BEEN IN COLORADO FOR 25 YEARS BUT I WASN’T BORN HERE. I LOVE THE MOUNTAINS BUT I DON’T LIVE IN THE MOUNTAINS BECAUSE, AS PRETTY AS IT IS, IT’S NOT EASY TO LIVE UP THERE. THE ROADS ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN, THE SNOW IS CRAZY, AND IT’S PRETTY MUCH A BIG HASSEL IN ALL WAYS YOU CAN IMAGINE.
BUT I DO LIVE IN A LITTLE MICRO-CLIMATE THAT GETS MORE SNOW THAN MOST PLACES AROUND ME. WE ARE AT 7100 FEET ALTITUDE SO THE TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE FROM WHERE I AM AND ALL THE CLOSEST TOWNS IS USUALLY SEVERAL DEGREES (COOLER BECAUSE THEY ARE ABOUT 1000 FEET LOWER IN ELEVATION). IT RARELY GETS ABOVE THE HIGH 80’S IN THE SUMMER – ALMOST NEVER. AND I LIKE THAT A LOT. BEING UP HERE IN THE SUMMER IS AMAZING.
WINTER IS CHALLENGING BECAUSE MY DRIVEWAY IS VERY LONG (AND VERY EXPENSIVE TO PLOW IF IT GETS BURIED, WHICH DOES HAPPEN EVERY COUPLE YEARS) AND I HAVE HORSES AND DONKEYS. ANYONE WITH EQUINES KNOWS HOW HARD THE WATER SITUATION IS IN THE WINTER. EVERYTHING IS DIFFICULT WHEN THE TEMPS ARE BELOW FREEZING.
BUT I LOVE COLORADO AND I REALLY LIKE WHERE I LIVE EVEN THOUGH IT’S IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE AND MOST PEOPLE WOULD GO CRAZY BEING SO FAR AWAY FROM EVERYTHING. AS A WRITER, IT SUITS ME FINE. 🙂
AND HERE is a sneak peek of tomorrow’s giveaway!
Make sure you stop by and enter!
BTW – THERE ARE FOUR FUN WAYS TO STAY IN TOUCH with me.
ONE – FOLLOW THIS BLOG – FILL OUT THE FORM BELOW and you will be notified via email whenever I put up a new blog post. I usually do this about once a month unless I’m having a cover reveal, or a new release, or something special like this 12 Days of Giveaways. This is not a newsletter list. It’s ONLY tied to BLOG POSTS.
Subscribe to Blog via Email
TWO – JOIN MY NEWSLETTER – you will get an email when I send a newsletter. I don’t send very many. Maybe once a month unless I’m up to something special. But you will NOT be notified of blog posts.
DON’T FORGET TO CONFIRM YOUR EMAIL or it won’t sign you up.
THREE – or if you don’t like to get emails – YOU CAN JOIN MY FACEBOOK GROUP. This is where I hang out on the daily. We’ve got a nice group going with ZERO DRAMA. And if you ever have a question about something, you can tag me in there and I’ll answer you. I’m literally in there all day, every day.
FOUR – If you like more personal things, then my Instagram is the place to be. This is where I post everyday stories about my ranch and farm animals.

Oh, I almost forgot, the alligators. One busted the screen out of my friend’s enclosure and was swimming in her pool. Florida is basically a swamp we just keep trying to build on! But I love it!

Hi! I live, currently in a town called Sutton Coldfield which sits on the NE corner of Birmingham, UK. It has been the perfect spit for my children while they grew up, but now we are all thinking of making a big family move to pastures new. Separate homes, but in close proximity. I don’t want to be far from my beautiful children and beloved grandchildren. Happy Christmas to you all. ❤️ 🎄🎄🎄

Porthcawl Wales
I am from Austria, but live in Norway.
I too have horses (and I love to watch your videos on IG) and since 2 days I have to carry buckets with water a few times a day. 🤷🏻♀️
I live in England, in the East Midlands. I probably wouldn’t choose to live here. My mum is a Northerner and my dad is a Southerner lol. I don’t know where I would like to live. Anywhere with horses would be amazing 🥰
Merry Christmas! That snow sounds beautiful but difficult at the same time! I live in Benton County Tennessee ….we hardly get more than an inch or so of snow and everyone loses their minds 🤣
I live in central Florida! Close enough to the theme parks to go on a whim, but far enough away to avoid the traffic issues day-to-day. BTW, your Company series got me back into reading after a many year slump. I love your creativity!

I’ve live in Lutz, Florida for 4 years. Love the palm trees. Before that in Illinois.
(Sorry for a second post. Not sure what I’m on doing here. Takes longer for a 69 year old to figure stuff out. lol)
I live in Louisville, Ky. Home of The Kentucky Derby. I love this time of year for all of the holiday decorations but HATE the cold.
I’m from a very small town in Northeast CT. I like to call it NE Bumf*ck lol. However, we can get to Massachusetts and RI in about 5 minutes and are not far from Boston and Hartford. Not a bad place to live. Thank you for the chance.
Central area of Minnesota. However born and raised in Duluth; and no I don’t sound like those people that fake the MN accent.
I live in Budapest, Hungary.😊 Thanks for the chance!❤️
I live in Savannah, Ga. I grew up about 15 miles away from where I am now so I’ve always been around Savannah. I just bought my first house, by myself!, and I love it so much! When you wrote about Adam and McKay going to Savannah, I knew all of the landmarks and laughed several times at the references. You need to come down one day and see how accurate you were about our heat and city! ❤️❤️❤️
I live in a very small town in Southeast Nebraska. I grew up in a small town, not this one and loved it and am now raising my kids in a small town.
We live in the Charleston, SC area. When my husband found a job opportunity here I had to google exactly where Charleston, SC was; even though I had been here about 20 years prior. We visited for the interview, and I got to explore the area; I fell in love, and we moved here a few months later. I was born and raised in OK; and hubby was born and raised in Texas. We never thought we’d leave the TX/OK area, but here we are. It’s hard being apart from family; but we do love the area. I enjoy all of the history sites available to explore, and the people here are great. We will probably be here for the rest of our lives.
G’morning…it is about 0430 and I’m snuggled under a blanket in my home on the Sunshine Coast and watching the rain hit the window. I love living here, the forest is a five minute walk away, I can watch whales swim by from my windows and it rarely snows. The temperature rarely goes below zero actually. My community is small and a little isolated but none of us would have it any other way.
I live in Winthrop, Massachusetts. I’m right on the ocean, near Logan Airport. I’ve lived here for 20 years now. Thanks for the chance to win.
I live in St Peters MO. Suburbs of St. Louis.
I live in Staten Island New York, the forgotten borough as most know it is or for having where some of the Jersey shore cast are from lol. Its cold here and all the leaves have fallen off the trees. Thank you for the opportunity
I live in Vancouver, WA not to be confused with Vancouver B.C. 😝
I live is southern Indiana! Merry Christmas!!

Village near Zagreb, Croatia. Our little country is having “weather nerves breakdown” at the point that it can’t decide if it wants winter or spring in fall : )
I live in Wichita KS
Tualatin, Oregon. 💗
I live in Ohio, but I have visited family in Colorado. My little town is 25-35 minutes from all the medium sized cities around us. It is a farming community, but also a tourist attraction in the summer. I have always lived in “the country ” and if not for health issues I could handle living in an area like yours.
I live in Pennsylvania, not far from Pittsburgh! I know some people complain about the wear here but I love having all the seasons!! 😀
I am from Ann Arbor Michigan! Snowed earlier this week and today it raining 🙂 Where we can get all four seasons in one day!
Omaha Nebraska
Thank you for doing such a generous thing
I moved to NW Indiana for work. My workplace may be surrounded by a corn field, but that corn field is close to Chicago!
I live in Altoona Pennsylvania. Our area is known for the World Famous Horseshoe Curve. Also located about 16 miles east of some judgey nuns.
I am from Oregon. Rain!
I was born and raised in Southeastern CT 🙂
North Central Pennsylvania. It’s a rural area. We have the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon that draws many people here. Our county seat is Wellsboro. It is a quaint town that many visit throughout the year. This weekend is Dickens of a Christmas. Busses arrive and the deer hunters will be pushed out of their rooms for the weekend. We don’t have a lot of industry so tourism drives much of our local economy.
I live in Ontario Canada
I’m from a small suburb in the upper midwest. I love that we get the beauty of all 4 seasons, but winter is just too darned long!
I live in Nebraska! Love your books and the whole world you have created! I can’t pick a favorite! Thank you so much!

Michigan, USA
I love in Pueblo, Colorado so I’m south of where you are. I have lived in Colorado most of my life, I lived in Colorado Springs for years, but decided to move closer to family here in Pueblo. I was not born in Colorado, as well. It’s nice to find an author I love, that calls the same state I do as home 😂! Thank you for this amazing giveaway, and for sharing your awesome books with us!!
Hello! I’m from western Wisconsin!!
I LOVE your Christmas 🎄 giveaways!! I’ve lived in Texas all my life. Right now me & my family are in Richmond, TX and loving it.
I live in Robin Hood Country. Sherwood, Nottingham, UK
Merry Christmas!
Dayton, Nevada
I live outside Nazareth, Pennsylvania, a weird little town that may be stuck in a time warp. It is very humid in the summer and can be icy and snowy in the winter. We have a ton of history in our area and are about 1.5 hrs from Philly and 2 hrs from NYC. New Jersey is Jersey to us.
We have 3 longhair dachshunds. 2 of them are certified therapy dogs. Today the are visiting a school and will be read to.
Reporting from Eugene, Oregon! Happy day one!
I live in rural Georgia on a family farm. We have chickens, cows, a donkey, and a pig that we think someone had as a pet and put out when it got too big. I, my brother and sister, and my mom all have homes on the property. It has been in our family for five generations. Though I’ve visited just about everywhere in the US I wouldn’t live anywhere else.
I live in Clarksburg, WV Happy Holidays!
I live south of Minneapolis, Minnesota , although in the winter, I wish that wasn’t the case. I grew up in Minnesota but have been lucky to travel others places. Ireland tops my bucket list!
I live in Lewistown PA, I love the Mister series!! Thanks for this chance.
Hi. I live in Laval, Quebec, Canada
I live in Lehigh Acres FL. Beautiful, sunny weather this time of year. Hot, scorching torture the rest of the year. I love it!
I live in Southwest Missouri with my husband and our children. But it has not always been my home. I was born in Jacksonville, FL and most of my childhood we moved from Fl, TN, and ME.
I live in Appleton, Wisconsin near Green Bay – Home of the Packers and Frozen Tundra. I love that we have all the seasons up here. It’s great that we are only a few short hours away from Chicago and Minneapolis.

I’m in Upstate SC after having moved around as a kid / Navy brat living in AK, HI, CA, VA and other places before I can “remember”…..
I live in the UK. In the south near Gatwick Airport. Which is great for work and even better for travel.
Arkansas, west of Little Rock. Born & raised, and still here❤
Hi Julie!!! I love your writing! Anyways…I live in Glendale, Arizona which is practically Phoenix. We refer to it as the surface of the sun. It has glorious winters and horrible summers. But this is where my family is, so this is where I live.
Just outside Houston, Texas. I can’t imagine living anywhere but Texas. Born and raised.
Hi Julie,
In 2021, my hubs and I rented a nice place over on E. Cherry Creek Rd. (north of Black Forest) between March and July. The weather was crazy. We got snow in June. That’s when I learned about the unusual climate in the area. We thought we were going to move there, but my hubs didn’t care for the wildly variable spring weather.
We’re still looking for a permanent place and currently are in a nice RV park in Florida. We’re just over an hour away from a beautiful beach on the gulf, south of Sarasota, called Siesta Key. Someday our home may be in VA, NC, or SC, though I’ve found many other beautiful places in the US where it snows just a little too much for us. We also want to have a little bit of property with a garden and such.
Thanks for your 12 Days giveaway! I have a lot of respect and admiration for you as an author. Looking forward to hearing more about the books you have waiting in the wings.
LINDA, your rental was probably minutes away from me! 🙂 I wish you were here! lol
I live in Tampa Bay, Florida. However, I was born in Montana then we moved to Baltimore. I love this contest. Thanks.
Taylorsville, Kentucky
I would love to live somewhere in Europe I love the history there.
Merry Christmas and I live in New Jersey
I live in Northeast Pennsylvania, more specifically Wilkes-Barre. Thank you for this opportunity Julie!!! You are amazing 🤩🤩🤩
I live near Atlanta, GA
Happy Holidays and I love your books!
I live in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I was born here , but I have lived other places. There’s no place like home tho. Thanks for the opportunity!
I live in Saskatchewan, Canada 🇨🇦
I live in Wyoming so I know how you feel about the winter weather situation. Thanks for having a 12 days of Christmas giveaway so fun, 🤩
Currently I live in KC, MO. I grew up in southern MN in a small town on the Mississippi River. I moved to IA for a job & met my now husband there & we have moved 7 times in 14 yrs for his job. Six moves were within the US & one move took us to Calgary AB Canada. It’s gorgeous up there!
It’s been a great way to see so much of the USA that I don’t think I would have seen otherwise.
So far our favourite city was in Virginia & we hope to move back that direction one day.
I have lived in Michigan all my life. Was born in Detroit, moved to St. Clair Shores in 1970.
I live just above the bootheel of Missouri. I’ve lived in this area my whole life and have lots of family here too.
Merry Christmas! I live in League City, Texas, which is about halfway between Houston and Galveston. I am about 20 minutes from Johnson Space Center (Houston, we have a problem!).
I live in the southern part of NC but I’m originally from PA. I have moved around a lot due to husband being in the military. He just retired out recently. Thank you for the chance I hope you have a merry Christmas and a happy new years.
I live in Buffalo NY and even though we have a bad rep for crazy weather I still love it! The absolute diversity of people and amazing seasons that never fail to astound me.
I live in Portage, Indiana. I live about 35 minutes east of Chicago. The Indiana Dunes National Park is about 15 minutes east of me….its a nice place to visit
I live in Vermont, was born here, grew up here and raised my family here. As you do, Julie, love in the lower lands, not in the mountains. Still, we get plenty of snow. It’s not unheard of for us to get more than a foot of snow in the wintertime. I actually hate winter! So why do I still live here? My family is all here. My 4 sisters live here, as well as one of my sons and we are pretty close. My hubby and I have thought of moving south, but it’s hard to imagine living without them close by. Summers and falls are absolutely gorgeous here though so that helps make it worth living here.
I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan. My daughter lived in Colorado for about 7 years – 4 in Denver and the last 3 in Gunnison. She loved it there, but boy am I glad she’s back home.
Colorado Springs – recent transplant! It’s been really cool living in CO after reading so many of your books that take place in CO and going to visit those areas.
Born, raised and still live in Southwest Missouri
I live in Northern Virginia. Settled here after my time in the Marine Corps. While it’s the perfect location for jobs and travel access, the weather here sucks and I miss the island way of life!
I live in Whitewright Tx. An hour north of Dallas
If I could hibernate, that would be lovely. I HATE the cold weather and driving in snow. I was actually born in Colorado but I live in Wichita, Kansas. I grew up in the country outside of Wichita and love the peace and simplicity of things. It’s something city folk take for granted. I love going out to my mom’s house because she lives out there and things are just always easier. You can stop and enjoy what’s around you.
Eastern Connecticut
I live in Texas
I live on Long Island in New York. I live near amazing beaches, wineries and an hour and half from Manhattan
Kokomo, Indiana
I’ve lived in the St. Louis, Missouri area for the past 23 years, but grew up in Iowa, spent a few years in Wisconsin, and about 7 years in Oklahoma. Our daughter lives in Colorado Springs, so we get to visit and enjoy your beautiful part of the country a few times a year.
I live in West Virginia on a secluded farm with no neighbors, It’s my own slice of Heaven!!
I’m from South Georgia where we only get snow about every 5 years. Southerners DO NOT know how to drive in the rain much less snow so we shut everything down for a couple of hours until the temp gets high enough for it to be “safe” to travel. 😂 I absolutely love to see where all of the Julie fans are from. Some close, some in places I’ve been through, lived, and places I can only dream of visiting someday! I actually flew into Colorado Springs to drive over the pass to the big town of Gunnison many years ago to visit family. I still love living in the south! Looking forward to more Days of Christmas and more Julie books!!
I live in So Cal. I work 50miles from where I live- your books helps my drive so much!!! I love them 😍
I live in Inverness, Florida. My husband grew up near Red Rocks in Colorado.
I live in Michigan
I love in omaha Nebraska:) can’t wait to move south especially this time of year!
I live in Bergisch Gladbach – Refrath (that’s next to Cologne) in Germany.
I love the Misters. One of my favorite series. I live in Connecticut.
I live in Mesa, AZ. in a house 3.5 miles from the one I grew up in. I have moved all over the contiguous U.S. during my husband’s active duty military career and when he retired in 2019 and I said I wanted to move back home, it was super close to “home”. I don’t like how much AZ has grown in the past 20+ years but I do love the heat and being so close to family and my best friend of 30 years.
hi..i live in a town called Endwell in New York. it’s a nice suburban area in upstate NY and i’ve lived in this general area my whole life. the seasons are beautiful
I live in North Texas where getting three to four seasons in one day is the norm.
Indiana
Texas!! I’ve never lived in another state, although I’ve visited other states. I don’t think I could live anywhere but Texas, I’d miss all things Tex-Mex
I live in Greenock, a town on the West coast of Scotland. Views to the north of some Munro’s. It’s quite a deprived wee town but it’s home, the scenery is to die for and the community spirit is second to none 🏴
Hi I’m Hannah. I live in the Denver metro area of Colorado (born and raise here but don’t worry I’m not any annoying one that has a Native sticker on my bumper). I have read your books all over the country, and world for that matter, as I do travel for work.
I also love Colorado it’s such a beautiful state and I love that there are so many places that I am familiar with in your books. I’m current reading Spencer and the talk about the Sundance has me wanting steak and line dancing asap! Thank you for writing books that captivate grit, love, lust and loss!
I live in spring Texas for 8 years now but from Michigan originally
I’m in Phoenix, AZ. My father was in the military getting ready for retirement, it was one of three choices. We weren’t thrilled, but he was happy he wanted somewhere warm. Fortunately it grew on me and it’s strange to think of living somewhere else now.
I live in Queen Creek, AZ.
Merry Christmas Julie!
This is Missy and I live in Christiansburg,VA. I’ve lived in this area for 57 years now and love it. We have alot of mountains and get snow pretty often. I love going out to take pictures of the heavy weighted down trees and the landscape of areas near me. It’s so beautiful!! I have a big family and we are all very close. 3 sisters,1 brother, my mom, 6 neices, 1 nephew, 3 boys of my own and 13 grandchildren. Also 10 great neices and nephews. Huge, I know but we love it!!
I love your audiobooks and listen to them every day 💕 I work a third shift job so I’m listening that whole time. As well as when I’m home.
You are very talented and how you come up with all your great story plots and then weave them through other storyline in other books is amazing. I have to have cheat sheets just to remember who’s who. Lol
Anyway have a great December and Merry Christmas
Thanks,
Missy
I live in Algonac, Michigan on the St Clair River. I look across the river and see Canada. I watch international freighters everyday. Born and raised on the Great Lakes. My daughters have the farm animals and property in the Upper Penninsula. Best of both worlds. We get to enjoy but without the work or 💲💲💲. 🤣 Thanks for the opportunity Julie!
I’m in Jasper, AL. I lived in Talladega, AL until I left home when I joined the Air Force. I lived in Texas, Mississippi, Italy, Maryland and California before I discharged and came to Jasper in 2002. I love that I’ve been fortunate enough to live so many great places but I especially love this small town life.
I’m in Bellevue NE. It’s a smaller city close to Omaha. I’m not from here but I moved here in Junior High, I met my husband here, 39 years ago. He was stationed at Offutt Air Force Base, here in Bellevue. We left in 1993 and moved all over. We have been back now for 4 years.
Northeast PA… temporary transplant from Northwest NJ🎄
I grew up in Washington DC and lived most of my life in the DC metro area, but I was born in South Carolina and since I retired in Jan 2022, I have returned to my state of birth…. I am living in the Lowcountry… Coastal South Carolina, just before you cross the bridge to Hilton Head Island.
I live in Sun City Hilton Head which is actually located in the very small town of Bluffton SC.
A town so small that the post office shares space with a dry cleaner…. the sun goes down and they roll up the sidewalk… no night life here! But there are beautiful beach areas, and so many wonderful water views including the marshes as well as the ocean.
And…. living in Sun City Hilton Head is like living at adult summer camp… golf, tennis, pickleball, bocce ball, nature trail, 3 fitness centers with indoor/outdoor pools and a couple more outdoor pools, classes in everything from art to zumba, and lots of line dancing! I am living the dream retirement here, and loving it!
I live in Farmville Virginia, it’s in the center if what they call The Heart of Virginia. I’m in the lower part of the state about 2 hours or less from the North Carolina border. We get all four seasons and winters aren’t to snowy most the time, but we do still get some bad storms every so on and to much snow and a few ice storms too which take out the power for half a day to many days, but it’s beautiful here and the people are friendly. Summers are good if a bit humid sometimes The saying for our state is Virginia is For Lovers.😘❤
Merry Christmas!!
I live in Wisconsin, right on the WI, Minnesota border!

Hi, I live in Alto, NM. I live in the mountains not from the ski resort. We are caretakers for a camp that runs year round, which means there are times we are plowing out our long driveway for our rentals. We live above 7,722ft, so we get lots of snow on and off through the winter.
Happy Holidays, I live in Montreal, Quebec up in Canada!
I live in Virginia, just outside of Washington, DC and have for almost 30 years. I’m originally from South Carolina.
I live in beautiful Naples Florida. Been here full time for 36 years and love it. We spent our honeymoon here 48 years ago and finally moved. Merry Christmas everyone.
I live in southwestern Ohio, where you can experience all four seasons in just one week and perspective is everything. We’ve had warm sunshine, snow, and tornado sirens all on the same day. It’s a place to expect the unexpected; you never know who you’ll meet or the things you will see. I live in the city in house that’s over a 100 years old and survived a great flood 110 years ago. There are markers downtown to show how high the water rose. The flood markers not only serve as a reminder of the unforeseeable horrors looming in our day to day lives, but also as a message of hope and endurance of humanity. The culture here is rich with people from virtually every background, region, and economic status. This county has one of the highest poverty rates and is near the epicenter of the opioid epidemic. It’s also a place where someone will give you the shirt of their back help rebuild what is broken. It’s a place that teaches you to hope for the best, prepare for the worst, and that you can find goodness in anyone if you’re willing to seek it.
Hello!! I live in sunny North Port, Florida! I’ve lived through a few winters in the past and while I think they’re beautiful I can only tolerate them for a vacation. I’m a hot weather girl for sure! Your place sounds amazing though, Colorado is on my winter travel bucket list!
I live in Pace Florida which is real close to Pensacola FL. I love living close to the beach. I grew up in Knoxville Tn and moved here 8 years ago.
I live in rural Tennessee halfway between Nashville and Huntsville AL. I lived in Arvada Colorado during my childhood during the big population boom of the late 60s and early 70s. Graduated from Arvada West H S. I love Tennessee especially after experiencing Michigan winters for 20 years.
Southern California here.
I live in Fayetteville, PA. We are about 20 minutes from Gettysburg. I was born and raised in the same general area. A small village ( yep, classified as a village 😀) named South Mountain is where I grew up. I stay in the area because family is everything to me and this is where most of mine is and have been for hundreds of years lol. I have a hubby and a teen son. We live under the rule of 2 very spoiled dogs.

I live in Ventura, CA and work in Santa Barbara. I get to drive along PCH and take in the beach on one side and mountains on the other every day to and from work.
I grew up upstate NY, but have lived in NW Missouri for 25 yrs. I live 80 miles from the nearest city that has more than a Dollar General or Walmart so I get to listen to all of your books as I drive back and forth. I even put my headphones on when driving with my family. Listening makes the drive so much more bearable.
Happy Holidays!

I live in Southern California and yes I love it. Don’t hate the cost absolutely but I still love it. One of the reasons I’ll never leave is my adult son with special needs. California is a very generous state when it comes to services. Are they are to apply for yes, are there extensive hoops the jump through… also yes. But the services are out there. Plus I love the weather. I grew up in MT and AK so brrrrr!
I live just south of Saint Louis,Missouri. Not from here but I call it home, been here since 1993. Born in Abilene, Texas and lived in places from the east coast to the west coast and some states in the mid west. My dad retired from the Air Force, 25 years. We did a lot of moving! Thank you for the chance of a gift and Merry Christmas.
Hiya! Thanks for such an awesome giveaway opportunity. I live in Ohio, USA .
I live in Rosenberg Texas
I live on the Southern Coast of Oregon in a small coastal town of Gold Beach, and it’s fucking amazing! We have the Pacific Ocean, the mountains, the forest, the river, and creeks. The ocean is five blocks from where I live. We can sometimes hear the waves at night. Looking out our kitchen window, we can see the forested mountains. We ended up here by Fate and magick. ✨
In 2017 we totally changed our life, we became minimalists, and in 2019 turned a van into a camper van, sold our house in Jan 2020, and travelled across country. I always had an affinity for Oregon, so that’s where we headed. We landed in Gold Beach, decided to camp 100 feet from the beach for two weeks, fell in love with the place and stayed. Then Covid and the stupid-ass lockdown happened. Everything flowed perfectly in our life to get us here on the coast, that’s why I say it was Fate and magick that got us here. There were too many uncanny things that happened to us to put us in one of the most beautiful places on earth. 🥰 Every day we’re in totally awe of where we live and grateful.
Anyway, thank you for this giveaway, Julie. I appreciate it. ✌️
I live in California.. But my heart is in Idaho with my niece and great nephew

I live in central Illinois. I split my time each month between my home on the east side of the state with my husband and my dachshund and my parents’ home on the west side of the state. At my age I’m incredibly fortunate to have both of my parents and I spend a lot of time with them. I’m hoping that when my husband retires that we move to my hometown to be able to be with my parents. I’d like to be able to be with all of my family at the same time instead of alternating time with my husband and my parents, but I recognize how incredibly fortunate I am to be able to do it. I consider both places to be my home. 🏠❤
I would love to live in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. The beaches are beautiful there!

Wardrobe is a struggle here, but it’s a beautiful place to live and raise a family. Thank you for your fabulous books, I love the EOBS! You crack me up. Merry Christmas!
Born, raised & will leave this world in Shawnee Kansas. Traveled thru almost all fifty states. Traveled abroad & met so many beautiful souls! If I had to move I’d head to the Missouri Ozarks or rural areas of Chattanooga TN.

Hi Julie. I love your books. Hope to be able to share.
I live in north central Texas .
My husband and I moved to Texas 38 years ago from central New York state, and 22 years ago moved further north just south of the Oklahoma border. I love it here. All of our family lives outside, of here and that’s ok with us.
We have miniature horses, cows, chickens and recently invested in Painted Desert Sheep.
The heat doesn’t bother us. And in the winter – what winter weather we get, doesn’t last long.
We’re neighbors! I live in beautiful Ogden, Utah.
Hi Julie, I live in San Diego, CA and I (mostly) love it. Originally from Chicago, so the weather, the pace the vibe in San Diego suits me. I’ve been here 24 years and now consider myself a San Diegan and not so much a Chicagoan. Tho, I do love Chicago in the summer with all the street neighborhood festivals and Lollapalooza – I try to get back for that as often as I can. I also spent about a year living in Denver – it was the first stop on my unexpected journey to the west coast – where I was the maid of honor for my best friend. She’s no longer of this world, but I have such fond memories of our antics driving through the mountains and camping on BLM land. Love your work and am in awe of your process. happy holidays!
I live in IL!!! Love the Midwest and the change in seasons!!! 🙂
I live in northeastern Wisconsin, just south of Green Bay. I have lived in this area of the state for 35-ish years. I love being near Lake Michigan, where the lake keeps you oriented to where you are. I love to look for beach glass along the beaches and collect and display it in my home. I have never lived outside of Wisconsin but most winters I question living someplace warmer!
Hi! I grew up in northern Louisiana but have lived just east of Houston, Texas for the past 30 years. I’ve raised my kids here and watched the grands growing up too. And I have never met a JAHuss book I didn’t love!
I live in central Illinois (no not Chicago), We like to get away for the winter Christmas time from the weather usually and go to a warmer state since the crazy winter weather here.
I live in the middle of the heartland. Home of the BIG RED! (Sorry I didn’t mean to yell but that seems the only way to say it.) You never want to be in the Haymarket on a football Saturday or when our women are playing volleyball who are #1 in the country. I live about 10 miles from the state capital which is sometimes referred to as the pr@@k of the prairie. Oh ya I live in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Hi Julie:
I currently live in Accra, Ghana, this is my 22nd country and I’m not even 50 yet. It’s is my fourth African country and life overseas while exciting can be challenging. My son has lived in 10 countries and he is only 19 years old. I miss home the most around the main holidays as I rarely spend it with my family. In the Foreing Service, you normally arrive at post with a couple of suitcases, hit the road running trying to adapt to everything, wait for a few months for your personal belongings to arrive, you settle in and then you have to pack up and go.
I’ve never regretted becoming an hotelier and later being part of the Foreign Service life. Despite so many changes I’m very fortunate to have made life long friends, visiting so many countries and having the opportunity of getting a worldwide perspective on most things.
Now that my son is in college I can’t wait to settle in a more permanent place, meanwhile I try to keep on having fun learning new cultures and enjoying this lifestyle while it lasts.
You are welcome to visit anytime.

Howdy! I was born and raised in Houston but currently live in Nacogdoches, TX. I went to college her and chose to stay since it was just far enough away so my family would never visit me unannounced but close enough that I could go to Houston whenever I wanted. I’ve been here for 10 years and now I’m ready to move back to be closer to my friends and some family. An 80 degree summer is unheard of here. We can sometimes see 80 degrees in December here in Texas lol. I complain about the heat often but I don’t see myself living in another state anytime soon

Hi, Julie, I live in western Massachusetts, the opposite end of our small state from Boston. We talk normal here. We don’t ‘pahk our cah in Hahvahd yahd.’ We park our car. We love the four seasons and the changeable weather. I live in Springfield, the 3rd largest city in Massachusetts. Basketball was invented here and Dr. Seuss (aka Ted Geisel) was born and raised here. The armory supplied weapons for the Revolutionary War and operated up until the 1960s. Springfield was the only place outside of the UK that produced the Rolls-Royce. It also produced the Indian Motorcycle. Btw I don’t work for the Chamber of Commerce, but I do like my city.
Love your characters and your books! Thanks,
Gayle

I Iive in Farmville Virginia in the Heart of Virginia. It’s beautiful here and I love the four seasons. I’m originally from California and it’s beautiful there too and especially nice when you live centrally located so it’s easy to go to the beach, the mountains, desert and forest. It’s kinda like that here in centrally located Farmville. I’m about 3 hours from the beach 11/2 hours from the mountains and Richmond our largest city is about 11/2 hours away. There are many fun things to do in my town of about 10,000 people. Bicycle trails, hiking trails, kayaking or tubing down the James River that runs through our town, and close to camping sites for the weekend in Scottsville to go down the James River, tree line zipping, of course bowling, many one of a kind boutique stores with reasonable prices and tons of smaller one of a kind restaurants and Breweries and music venues to entertain all. We also have Longwood University that so Beautiful and Hampton-Sydney College in our small town. Our downtown looks so beautiful with streetlamps down both sides of the street lite every night, and many small parks for kids and families to play and picnic. I’m three miles from town, but live in the country. I’ve got the best of two worlds close at hand. Merry Christmas Julie! 🎄🎄🎄❤
Hi Julie, Thank you so much for all of your amazing creativity. I Truly wish I had an imagination as vivid as yours.
I found your books in 2020 in the midst of the pandemic and I really think you helped me get through it. I’m sure I’m not the only one.
I absolutely love the misters series however there may be a little trauma every time I come across a foil butter package 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I have to discreetly hide my smile and laughter.
I was born and raised here in Snohomish Washington (the one on the West Coast!) I got out of this state once and lived in Corpus Christi Texas for a year but I had to come back as my family was aging. Currently I live in Bothell Washington I’m an hour and a half to the mountains 3 hours to the ocean 2 hours to Canada. It really is a beautiful state if you can handle 7 to 9 months of light gray and dark gray skies and rain lots and lots of rain.
I Love your work!!! And I Can’t wait for whatever you come up with next! Merry Christmas

Job hunting was a real adventure, Still getting our footings, but for the most part, doing OK.

I live above the old general store that was built in the 1800’s and is still the general store, post office, gas station, deli, feed supply, etc. it’s a relic! I grew up here, and moved back 20 years ago. I’ll take tractors & combines over 4 lanes of traffic any day!
I live in Mississauga, Canada. It is a unique experience marked by cultural diversity, vibrant public spaces, and a thriving economy. My city is known for its rich tapestry of ethnicities, reflected in diverse festivals and culinary delights. Proximity to Toronto provides easy access to the amenities of Canada’s largest city. With a job market that’s on fire and a food scene as diverse as our population, living here is like having a front-row seat to the best show in town. Mississauga isn’t just a city; it’s a lifestyle, and it’s one heck of a fun ride! 🚀✨

I live just outside of Charlotte NC on a little farm with horses, goats, chickens, and my dogs. Summers can be brutally humid, but it’s the south, what would you expect. We are actually kind of protected by the Appalachian Mountains and last year we didn’t see a single drop of ice or snow. Probably means we are in store for a bad winter this year.
I love living in a rural area. We are so rural in fact, we have no high speed Internet. We only have a satellite option, and let’s be honest, if you had or have it….. you know.

Holiday Greetings from Tulare, California
This Shriker born & raised in this small town and proud of it!
Our town has a huge Ag community and it’s been hosting the World Ag Expo for many years. This event is so big, it takes (3) days to see everything! Also, with the heavy rains this year and flooding the farming land Tulare Lake was put back on the map & made National news! The lake is truly PHENOMENAL. You could not see from one side of the lake to the other side. One for the history books! Our Summers here are HOT reaching 3-digits and Winters cold & foggy. Driving in the fog is scary! It’s great living here because Tulare is located between the mountains and the West Coast, about 2-1/2 hours either way. A Day Trip for the family to get away and have some FUN!!!
Tulare is small, but We Got It!!!
Wishing you Julie Happy Holidays and thank you!

I am a trailing spouse, so I get to live ALL over the world. We “officially” live in Forks, Washington, home of the Twilight Vampires and Wolves! But we spend most of the year posted overseas on assignment. Right now we are doing a tour in Moldova. That’s next door to Ukraine with a strip of the country-that-does-not-exist, Transnistria, between us. Transnistria is a Russian military-controlled corridor that is about 15 miles wide that divides Moldova and Ukraine. Despite being so close to an active war zone, it’s very safe here. Moldovans are former Soviet Union members, but are more closely tied to Romania than Russia and are trying very hard to become EU members.
I live in Pennsylvania
I live in sunny AZ☀️
I live in Music City (Nashville, TN)
I live in beautiful East Tennessee. I am in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains national park, surrounded by lakes and rivers, lush undeveloped acreage, and thriving communities both large and small. I am 10 minutes from o e if the largest college football stadiums in the country (Neyland Stadium – home of the University of Tennessee Volunteers), 25 minutes from the birthplace of Dolly Parton, 25 minutes from the birthplace of the atomic bomb, in 2 hours I can be in Asheville, NC, Nashville, Lexington, KY, or to the outskirts of Atlanta. We have four definite seasons, a reasonably low crime rate and cost of living, and a culturally diverse population. I have lived other places and keep coming back home.
Thank you for this opportunity!
I live in Tomball, Texas, literally named after a guy named Thomas Ball. It’s in the Houston metro area and I can’t for the life of me guess where the city and each of its suburbs end and begin. I work in Houston and it’s like the clients are from all over the world. The area in Katy, TX I lived in the previous 8 years is the most diverse in the world with 300 languages spoken within the surrounding mile. The heat was challenging this year with temperatures over 100F for over 6 weeks. Honestly, I’d prefer your climate, having grown up outside Chicago.
NJ, USA

Chesterfield, Virginia is my home and I grew up in Louisa, Virginia – you never know just how much that word “home” means until your soul just yearns for it when you’re away. I have not traveled much. Anytime I’ve ever left the east coast it’s been for tragedy. My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer when I was 40 and wanted to take a Hawaiian cruise before she died. I hate doctors who don’t have quality of life at the forefront of your health, and her oncologist cared none about her quality of life. She pitted us against my mother at a very vulnerable time all to advance her career. We wanted to take this trip right away while my mother was still feeling good – it was stage 4 and they were not going to save her. In the end, the doctor used her as a guinea pig for new treatments that we knew wouldn’t work – long story short, she told her to take the trip when she was at the end – something I begged the doctor not to do because it would be unbearable for the family including my children. 14 hours on planes, 1 day on a 7 day cruise and then my mother saying she needed to get back home to die in her bed. She died in the airport in Hawaii on day 3 with the family still stuck on the ship. 15 years later and I never got on another plane until this year when my brother was in a horrific accident and I had to fly out west to be with him and ultimately help take him off life support. I remember landing back in Richmond, Virginia each time and getting back to the tranquility of my woods … the crow of a rooster, the sun peeking over the trees and dapples of light through the naked limbs. That air, the mountains, the beach, my animals, the trees that speak to you. It’s in my veins and I’ve never had the desire to live anywhere else. Oliver Anthony sings a song about Virginia that is truth. He lives not far from me.
Wow, Samantha. That is so sad. I agree about the doctors. I don’t believe many of them care anymore. So many hugs for you.

I live in Kingsland, Texas. It is a small unincorporated town in the Texas hill country and I love it! Just moved here 6 months ago from the gulf coast where I lived for 55 years.
I live in Christchurch, New Zealand

Hi Julie! Merry Christmas ⛄ 🎄
I live in a little town in Florida called Yulee. It’s on the outskirts of Jacksonville. I’ve wanted to live many other places growing up here, but have come to love my area. We live about 15 minutes from Amelia Island and the beach, which is a little slice of heaven. Over the years we have had all kinds of farm animals. Goats, horses, cows chickens, cats, dogs. Currently I have a pot bellied pig named HoneyBun, she is my baby! Also chickens, cats, and dogs. I have also had several squirrels that I rehabilitated over the years. My other animals include a husband and two children. Lol. I love hearing about fellow animal lovers stories, so thank you for sharing! Merry Christmas again! Much love!!!
Hi I live in the uk which at this moment in time is covered in snow and freezing cold
I tried to submit a comment for Day 1 and can’t find my submission so I am commenting again for Day 1. I live in a very small town in NC called Seven Springs.
Happy Christmas from the uk
Roll Tide! Alabama born and raised with a 10 hiatus to the great state of Californian.
Happy Holiday’s Julie!
I live in Rochester NY in a suburbs of Webster which borders Lake Ontario. Whatever snow misses Buffalo hits us and buries us a few times a year. The snow is so deep the plows can’t get through so bucket loaders from every company that has one gets hired to dig out the airport first then the hundreds of streets in the entire county. We get all 4 seasons Summer and Fall are my favorites I like to be outdoors with my Saint Bernard and our English Masiff he is 240lbs and tall like a Great Dane. I get stopped everywhere we walk him kids under 5 love him because they can hug him and look up to his face. I love the videos a pictures of your farm. It reminds me of every time I drove to Warsaw NY to stay at my Aunt’s & Uncle’s farm on my days off from HS & college. Both of them passed away in the last 2 years they didn’t even get to recieve social security. Your pictures of sharing a part of your life is really sweet! Thank you,
Susie

Many thanks. My name is Helen and I live in Broughton, a village in North Wales in the UK x
I moved to NW Indiana for my first “real” job out of college and haven’t left! There may be a cornfield behind work, but I love being close enough to go to Chicago and take advantage of all the Broadway shows.
I live in New Jersey with my husband and three dogs.
Hi Julie,
I live in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands. Literally translates as “Sweet Lake City”. We haven’t had snow yet, but it’s forecast for today and we’re expecting about 1 inch!
I am originally from a small town in northern Illinois, but to the Dallas, Texas area 38 years ago for my husband’s work. We now live south of Dallas in Midlothian where we raised our 3 children on 3 acres. We love it here, except for maybe August in Texas.
I live in Arkansas have since 2010
I live in Central Florida near the coast. We have great views of the launches of all the rockets. This summer was brutal due to the high temperatures. There were days I couldn’t go out. I have a 4.5yo Rottweiler named Jaxx. He’s my best buddy. He’s a lover not a fighter. He loved the horses we have next door. Sadly on the other side they have chickens and 3 donkeys he doesn’t like. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All!!
GO BLUE!! Michigan . Merry Christmas!
I live in Angleton Texas which is south of Houston
I live in Richfield, MN. Have lived in that city for 25 years. But I lived in the town over in Bloomington, MN for 27 years which are suburbs of Minneapolis. Once I’m done with city life which is NOW! I would love to live on land for my husband to hunt we are out of the city limits.
Raised on the Outer Banks and love it there. When I go back, I love staying at Pooh’s Corner. Great Airbnb/Vrbo and right on the beach. Ok with guest dogs.
I currently live in Research Triangle Park, in the middle if the state where travel is easy and the arts send us to many different cultures. 4 hours to the beach, four hours to the mountains. Love the Mountain/Biltmore area too. Prefer to stay in Valle Crucis where the clean air puts you to sleep. My all time favorite place to stay is 3 hours away and appeals to the geek in me because it has an observatory. They have gourmet food they will delivery to your craggy cabin with a mountain overhang decking where you can read and watch the sunrise or the sunset. Living in the middle of the state is my perfect place.

I live in a small town in Northern Indiana. If you think Amish buggies are adorable you would love it here. Happy holidays!
I live in the beautiful state of Michigan, Canton to be exact. I have lived here all of my life except for a few years in Reno, Nevada. I love mountains too (there aren’t any around us) but being surrounded by freshwater lakes has advantages. It’s a summer paradise but fall and winter are wonderful also. I would never leave Michigan because my daughters and their families live close to us and that’s is what’s most important to me.
BTW, that audio clip had my howling again. I love what comes next. That is my go to book when I’m in the mood for great comedy. It never gets old.
I live in western Michigan, but I’m planning a big move out of state soon!
I’m in Dover,New Hampshire-we’re in the southern part of the State,so our winters aren’t horrible. I love where I live and the 4 seasons!
We live in Waukesha, WI where the 4 season climate means it is always interesting and great reading weather. We have a crazy long driveway up a hill as well so hubby gets to use his tractor to keep it clear. Our wiener dog enjoys “herding” the wild turkeys and deer on our property.

I know I am a day (or two) short but I wanted to make sure that I commented on each post so you know how much I enjoy the fact that you take the time to do this. I love the fact that you still do contest and take such care in the gifts that you give and make them so personal. Okay enough. I live in North Central Kentucky. I am at least an hour from any bigger city and within two hours of many major cities like Cincinnati, Louisville, Indianapolis and Lexington. I live an hour from my job but wouldn’t have it any other way. I have a small farm, with just chickens at the moment, but we do have about 65 of them. Oh and 4 cats. I lost both of my dogs this past year and haven’t had it in me yet to get another puppy, but oh I want one and soon.

I’ve been in Florida now longer than anywhere else, so I guess I’m a “Floridian” now. I don’t miss the cold, but I do miss the autumn and the leaves changing colors.
I am in North Carolina! <3
Palatka, Florida
I love in Omaha, NE.
I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Sometimes it is refered to as The Onion and also as the Captial City of our province. It is the gateway to the worksites of our largest export and exploit, which is oil.
I have lived in and around Edmonton all of my life (except when I was wanting to move to Toronto, but was only away for a couple of months:(). I grew up on the city’s outskirts on an acreage west of Edmonton until my parents divorced, then moved to a small town called Devon. Fun fact: Devon’s oldest and shadiest bar was actually shown in a Tragically Hip and Grateful dead music video. It was also greatly affected by a large tornado that is known as one of Canada’s largest tornado’s. I was in elementary school so I have some memories of this but only because it was something that happened. Not much happened in my life back then…
I got out of that place as fast as I could, which means I was on Edmonton for high school and have been here since. I used to dream of moving elsewhere but I didn’t. I have a family now and for now it will remain my home. It is a strange city that can offer opportunities and growth. It has changed a lot over my lifetime here but what has been and will always remain is WEM. One of the largest shopping malls in North America. You know the one that had an amusement park that on its first run, killed most of the people on it? And that summarizes Edmonton, I think. We have all four seasons yet it is dominated by road construction and long winters. At least, the winters are bright and usually sunny. Perhaps, I have shared too much?
Hi Julie and fellow commenters!!! As a young kid, my family moved around quite often. Now that I’m an adult, I’m finally settled in Western New York, in a suburb of Buffalo, NY!

Hello! I am from a small town south of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Love all of your books.
I live in Quakertown Pa it use to be filled with open land now it’s almost all gone we still have lots of wild life to admire!
I’m a fellow Colorado girl. I moved here when I was 14 (I’m a whopping 51 now!) I married my high school boyfriend, Rich. (I prayed I’d marry a rich guy and god took me literally!) We both attended your alma mater, Colorado State University! I studied animal sciences before switching to humans sciences lol…
I now live in Evergreen which is about 35 minutes from the steps of the capital (quick random fact: my grandfather help lay the gold on the dome of the capital in the late 1800’s!)
Evergreen is the best of both worlds in that we can to most of the Denver area in less than 45 including DIA on a good day. I also currently have 3 elk in my yard and have to have bear-proof trash cans! The best is have a home that was built in 1978 around the sun’s southern exposure and can grow most anything. That is if I can keep the deer, elk, bears, rabbits, etc from eating it first! I harvest all of my wildflower seeds if you want any for you or one of your giveaways. I have honed my craft to virtually only perennials and all require very little watering and are very low on the deer/elk tasty spectrum.
The downside of living in Evergreen is that it is too ‘Ever-White and not enough socioeconomic diversity for my family. Additionally it’s hard at times raising Jewish kids in a predominantly non Jewish community. We have a great rabbi at CBE so it’s all good.
Some time take a motorcycle ride through the canyon between Red Rocks & Evergreen on Hwy 74. You’ll see some caution signs in yellow that say “MOTORCYCLES USE EXTREME CAUTION”. I wrote a grant to CDOT & NHTSA to get those signs added because I hated seeing so many motorcycle crashes and fatalities in my community. I can spout off pretty much anything about motorcycle safety and resources in Colorado.
I have 3 adult kids ages 24, 22 & 20… this makes me sound organized but part of the year I have 3 kids in 3+ years which was a clusterfuck when they were little!
I have 2 rescue boutique dogs, Henry is a Westiepoo and Kevin is a Labradoodle. Yes, people give up expensive dogs too.
This one will throw you for a loop, I dress men for a living! I’m a men’s personal stylist with clients all over the country but I can work in my unmentionables at the kitchen table if I want while looking out the windows at the beautiful mountains and blue sky of Colorado!

We live in Fischer, TX. It’s the gateway to “The Hill Country” of Central Texas. It’s a teeny tiny town that literally only has a post office and historic general store. It’s in between San Antonio & Austin, North of New Braunfels. We used to live in Southern California that was a big tourist area. And despite it being a small country town we’re a tourist area too. We’re 5 minutes from a lake and about 15 minutes from the Guadalupe river. We get lots of people here in the summertime. Anyway, we love our little 1-acre plot of land in the country.

I lived in NW Indiana for 41 years then took a chance and moved to northern Arizona. To a lovely small town in Arizona. The Verde River flows through the town as does Bitter Creek, a tributary of the river. The weather is great and the sky is brilliant blue. So glad I made the move. According to the 2021 census, the population of the town was 4,419.
I was born, raised and still live in sunny Athens, Greece.

I live in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom, a small town that has the nickname “Stoke in the Smoke.” The name was given to it during the time when Wedgwood, Minton, Spode and more kept the huge kilns fired up day and night producing beautiful display pieces as well as every day necessities. The result was black smoke that settled everywhere. While today the kilns are all quiet (most are torn down) evidence of the smoke remains on all the red brick buildings, houses included. As an American uprooted and replanted here by my “Stokie” husband I find this town fascinating. There are carvings in buildings everywhere that I’m still finding. And a trip to the Burslem Pottery Museum has pieces of porcelain and Majolica that are so very stunning they take your breath.
Like any town it has its good and bad points, and I only worry about those that affect us and our daily life. All in all, aside from missing my kids, grandkids and a cheese steak, mushrooms, onions, peppers and pizza sauce from the Tony’s back in Greencastle USA, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else but where I am😁.

I am from Seaside Heights, NJ. It’s very quiet here in winter, but in spring/summer there are so many people here. They visit the beach to swim, the boardwalk to eat, drink, shop, or play games and ride the rides. There’s a waterpark as well. It’s nice.

This is a great question and a wonderful way to get to know your readers. As for me, I’m from the very middle of the United States….Lincoln, Nebraska. It’s an urban community surrounded by farmland, a community that’s a bit behind the times occasionally but I still like it.

Hi there,
I moved to Houston, TX from Albany, NY IN 1995 and currently live in Tomball, TX which is a suburb Northwest of Houston. While I desperately miss the fall season in upstate NY, the leaves changing, Apple picking, and Apple cider donuts, I most definitely do not miss the freezing temps and shoveling so much snow.
