HAPPY BELATED NEW YEAR?

I don’t know about you but I’m really not in to the ‘New Year’ stuff. I have friends who do vision boards, and meditate, and manifest, and all kinds of other things to psyche themselves up for a fresh start. But me? Listen. By the end of December I’m just fuckin’ surviving, ya know? I mean, this little farm of mine is a a lot of work and that work only get more stressful as the temperatures drop.

Plus, I am always writing and on deadline for something and I also did a signed book order last year and that was HUGE. My living room was flooded with books for almost two months. Add in The 12 Days of Giveaways for the lead up to Christmas and yeah–2023 couldn’t end soon enough for me.

With all deadlines over, all packages in the mail, and the tree finally up (on December 19) I just kinda… did nothing. 🙂 I have been writing since January 2 and I’m 32,000 words into a new book at the moment. But aside from that, it’s been sleep and farm chores for me.

I didn’t release very many books in 2023 but I wrote a shit-ton of them. I’ve got three completed that I have yet to release. Two of the audiobooks are already finished and the third is being recorded right now and should be back next month.

This last book, by the way, is a 180,000-word Epic Romantasy that took me four full months to write. I’m talking like everyday writing. Thousands of words a day. Then literally weeks to edit because it’s a tome.

Before I wrote that I started a brand-new cont. romance series but I didn’t want to release it until I had the whole trilogy written and the audiobooks done. So I just didn’t put it out. The Epic Romantasy was a distraction I really couldn’t afford, but it was the book on my mind. It was the one I wanted to write. And I’m so glad I did because it’s long, and lush, and spicy, and twisty, and angsty and I’m in author love with it. Also, the audiobook has a full cast narration and I just can’t wait to get it back from One Night Stand Studios.

But anyway, this new series is kind of a small-town, un-cozy, spicy-slash-sweet contemporary romance with a sprinkle of twisty.

Trust me, you’re gonna be hearing a lot more about it very soon.

So my whole point is that it takes me longer than most to get geared up for a new-year fresh start and for 2024 it took me 18 days. I finally got my shit together last night and put together a yearly schedule. Pic related.

I had to blur out some things because I don’t like to reveal book titles too early. But I have something planned for every single month of 2024 (not all of it fit on one page)

I will be setting up a Patreon very soon. And if you’re not in to that, don’t worry. No pressure. Patreons are mostly for readers and fans who have extra money to support their favorite creatives. And I fully understand that not everyone does. trust me, I remember what it was like to have zero dollars left after paying bills when I was a single mom of two in my 20’s.

But some people do have a little extra pocket money left for artistic support and so that’s what the Patron is for. It will have a few tiers and for sure, you will be able to get both ebooks and audiobooks early if you’re a supporter. I’ll have more news on that stuff next month.
